My Last Vacation

      Summer,  a day without stress, a day you can do what you like to spend in whole day. Away from school, away from problems, all you can think in summer days is about fun. And when summer is coming all you can think is how to spend every single day to become memorable, well for me when summer is coming, time to make a travel list. Traveling to other places that’s how I spent my summer, discovering something new. That’s complete my vacation days.

      Ever since that’s how I spent my vacation, going to other places that I have never been before and making memories there that I cannot ever forget. Well this my last vacation I thought that’s gonna end up, boring. Because from the start all I do most in my summer days is this daily routine: house,market,outside then back to house. Short in budget and I cant think of a place where to go, I thought so that it will end unmemorable. Luckily, my cousin from Manila want to spent her vacation with us, family. She wanted to treat us and that’s by taking us all on her travel here in Cebu City. Well its a miracle, finally something that could complete my vacation days. From Biliran we rode a van going to Ormoc then travel by supercat going to Cebu. It took only an hour then we arrived at Cebu City, straight to the hotel and took a rest for the exciting day tomorrow. For our travel we rent a van to fit us all, first on our list was Temple of Leah. On the way we all enjoy talking, having family bonding and it was a good thing. Then we arrive at our first destination. It was beautiful, its like Im in Greece, even though I’ve never been there. Big place and it had a great view good spot for taking photos. We all took a selfie as we could and talked about how great the place was. Then after that we left and set to our next destination, it was Top of Cebu. No wonder why it was called Top of Cebu, because in there its like Im in the top of Cebu. I can see the whole Cebu city from there. What a glamorous view you can see up there, it was awesome. There’s even a restaurant beside it. After the sight seeing we ate there to fuel up ourselves, its not just the view is good but also their food. Then continue to our journey, it was the last in the list. I forgot the name of the place but I cant forgot the view in there. Its like a park for those people who likes to take a selfie, they even have a beautiful flower garden. Each angle had a great view, if you like taking photos I recommend you there. Posting photos from there can storm of likes in your facebook. After that, our journey ends and then straight went back to the hotel to take a rest. I was really tired after that but still it was worth it.

       Then by tomorrow we headed home,  as we arrive all we can talk about was the place we went. We cannot forget how awesome those places was. And I was right it complete my summer. Somehow it puts something twist in my boring vacation days. Hoping maybe some day I can go back to those places again.

For #ThrowbackThursday this week, check out this snippet from the behind-the-scenes recap video I made from my experience working on "Last Vacation," a short film that was written, shot and edited in 48 hours as part of the San Diego 48 Hour Film Project back in 2018.

The 48 Hour Film Project is a short film contest where teams of filmmakers are given 48 Hours to write, shoot, edit, and turn in a completed short film. The teams are given a few specifics, like a character, prop, and line of dialog to include in their short films, and genres are selected at random.
