A position she never expected and yet is still hers. She takes a great deal of pride on being Fae and protecting the interest of the Fae as a whole. For her advisor they have to be someone Aiyla trusts without falter. Someone who could have been in her life prior to coming to Lunar Cove or someone she met once she arrived. CATCHING MY BREATH, STARING OUT AN OPEN WINDOW

Emily Décès is based on Emily from Corpse Bride. They are a 29 year old/immortal undead being, bartender, and uses she/they pronouns. She has the power of reanimation. Emily is portrayed by Laura Harrier and they are taken.

CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE

Emily grew up in a wealthy household to parents that were usually too busy to deal with her. Emily was often left to her own devices when she wasn't being thrown into class after class for extra curricular activities. Dance, painting, vocal classes, violin, and piano. You name it she probably has tried her hand at it. Her parents wanted their only child to be raised to be proper and educated. On top of wanting their daughter to be well versed in the arts she had multiple private tutors that homeschooled her. Only the best is what her parents would accept so that's what Emily gave them. Her best was never enough though and that's what led to her stray away. She started sneaking out, kissing boys, and doing things her parents would never approve of. It was a chance at freedom and in her endeavors she met Barkis. Barkis was dreamy and Emily fell hard and fast. He was penniless, but that meant nothing to her. When the proposition of marriage came up to her parents they were quick to shut the couple down, refusing to allow their daughter to marry someone so lowly to them. That night they ran away and eloped and soon after Emily woke up in Evermore. She doesn't remember anything other than that night. She remembers Barkis brutally murdering her in the forest, only to find out he was after her fortune the whole time, but that's it. She doesn't remember anything before running away. Everything is a distant, faded feeling. Emily was sharp and quickly realized what had come. She was the animated dead and was able to use her abilities to live a somewhat normal life. She began bartending, trying to stay hidden in the shadows, but often found herself in the forest, recalling the night of her death. It was there she met Victor Van Dort, an awkward man that she quickly grew close to. That was until she found out he technically had a fiancee he was betrothed to. In a moment of blind rage and feeling betrayed again she had Victor cursed. It's something she does feel a lot of guilt over, but she's changed a lot since coming to Evermore. She has to take care of herself and heart first and that's what she's going to do.

I HAD A FEELING SO PECULIAR

❀ Ursula Barlowe: They work at Ursula's bar. It's alright and the tips are decent, but they also had made a deal with her to curse Victor. Emily regrets it deeply and has no way to convince Ursula to reverse it as they are indebted to let Ursula use Emily's powers when she wants. ❀ Suzy Floris: The girl is very sweet and Emily is glad to call her a dear friend. Perhaps the two are an odd pair, but Emily appreciates to have at least some sort of normalcy in their life and that came in the form of Suzy. ❀ Oz Godfrey: Emily senses the worst vibes from him when he comes into Poor Unfortunate Souls and they try to steer clear of him, but he always manages to find a way to talk to corner them into conversation. He reminds Emily a bit of Barkis, but more sinister, and that terries them.

Objectively, Taylor closely resembles the standards of modern Vanneer beauty: a delicate deep gold finch beak, matte slate gray feathers, and well-shaped dark brown eyes. Any other details are UTP.

Facts:

Taylor has taken being the namesake of Elizabeth Taylor very seriously, and tries to embody a fashionable and impressive persona. This behavior is all very deliberate and purposeful.

A Gareem Vanniree, Taylor isn’t particularly interested in keeping in touch with most Vanneer culture. Taylor does not participate in the “preening circle” with the other Vanniree on the ship, and spends a substantial amount of time doing personal grooming tasks.

After working unhappily at a travel agency for a long time, Taylor started to turn the hobby of styling and creating clothes into a career. 

Eventually, Taylor saved enough money to purchase a wonderful machine that allows designers to basically 3D print and do some sewing of basically any designs that they want. Some projects are a little beyond the machine to get right, so a perfectionist like Taylor takes a lot of time to carefully construct apparel and effective armor for a ship’s crew.

Taylor has remarkably bad anxiety. This may or may not be apparent to others, but Taylor takes out this anxiety on other people with words instead of something more constructive.

If the Prosperity was a reality show (and sometimes it really feels that way to Taylor, a connoisseur of America’s Next Top Model), Taylor would say, “I’m not here to make friends.”

Robin Astrea: The first night on the ship, Taylor drank a little too much, and loudly told Robin that he’s like a child prodigy. This has haunted Taylor ever since.

Yva Turras: Yva and Taylor don’t get along at all. Both are new to the ship, but every conversation tends to turn into a competition. Something about how these two relate to each other leads to bickering that can be exhausting for the rest of the crew to deal with.

Wydwen had been born of faekind, a torrential downpour graced the earth upon her birth and she was thus brought into life in this way and remained as such, leaving a trail of natural destruction in her path. Many of her siblings and fae family within The Harbinger Line could foretell death but Wydwen could foretell of natural disasters before they would occur and it was from the remnants of that destruction where her power lied; from every house torn from its foundation, buildings reduced to rubble from earth shattering quakes, cities flooded with traces of human society after a tsunami and so she followed them across the continent, drawn to the wails of those who perished and her own cries to follow.

It was in this way that her fae life ended. Traversing the remains of a destroyed city she encountered a ragged and half mad werewolf, blinded by the terror it had endured and in her attempt to soothe the rabid beast, it bit, tearing through flesh and ripping her apart. The poisonous curse spread through her body, leaving her emotionally and physically scarred. She could feel the natural power she’d been born with dissipate like dust in the wind, her connection to her fae family forever severed, leaving her alone and ripped from them for she could no longer find the entrances to the fae realm and was no longer welcomed among them; once a harbinger of calamity, now forsaken.

Wydwen once again traveled the continent, no longer in search of natural disasters but instead to return to her once family, taking the long and arduous journey by land instead of through the magic portal of the fae realms that could have transported her back in an instant if she’d gone through the right door. Many of her fae family were not so forgiving of her change, refusing to acknowledge her by her fae given name and so now goes by Wynn. Her return to Opulence was met with turmoil but her proud nature denied her the ability to shy away. Instead of diminishing like they had wanted, she flourished, remained boastful and proud, refusing to deny them the pleasure of seeing her fall. She continued to act as if nothing had changed when everything had.

“what power did she attain when settling in opulence?”

Her power at this time can only be used in her fully shifted state. When she howls, she has the ability to open a portal which invites a rush of evil spirits into the mortal plane. She has little control over how long this portal remains open but if enough evil spirits come into this realm they are capable of possessing others to cause them to see dangerous hallucinations, inflict harm upon themselves or others, or cause minor natural disasters, an echo of her prior nature which emerges from the root of her wailing cry.

CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY

If you had known Amory growing up you just knew she would be a star. She had dreams as big as the sun and an imagination to match. All she ever wanted to do was be an actress. She would put on shows for her family during the holidays giving all her cousins parts and making herself the lead. She would do school plays and was in a youth theater program. It’s all she ever wanted to do. But, her parents did not want that life for her. They wished she used her mind for a career that had more stability and certainty. They wanted her to be a doctor or a lawyer or anything but an actress. They allowed her to play her fantasies outside of school but wanted her to do well so she could get into a good college. The thing is she didn’t want that. Secretly she put in an application at the University of Nevada Las Vegas... and she failed to mention she applied for their arts program instead. Her parents were proud when she got in but wished she wasn’t going to Vegas. They never approved of the culture of the city.

When she got there she started working at a dinner Hamburger Mary’s where she learned all about drag and how to really put on a show. It was the most fun she could have had while working towards her degree in theater arts. Amory felt home in that dinner with those queens. They celebrated her and her dreams. She even got to perform a song or two from time to time. It was thrilling to have people support her dreams. But, it was something she was hiding from her parents. It was as if she was living a double life.

Even more so when she began working as a showgirl when she turned twenty-two. Oh how things changed for her. She loved working at Bally’s there was just something about the show that changed her life... not to mention all the hard work she had put into to even book the gig. So much so that she has been working that same gig for almost ten years now. The lights, the glamour, the cheers... it’s everything she loves. It took a long time to tell her family about her job but they soon realized that she was happy and accepted her career choices.

Amory is still hoping to make it to the big screen. She’s done small gigs here and there in commercials and she’d even done an episode of NCIS.. which she was certain was a start of something. The woman auditions regularly because you never know when you’ll get your big break.

Connection Description:

Your character took over the position of Town Clerk back in July of 2022 as part of Meena Raja-Moore’s Mayoral Campaign. Their job has been to maintain records, general bylaws, zoning bylaws, petitions, publications, budgets, town meeting minutes, financial statements among another of other responsibilities. They work closely not only with the Mayor but with the Council, often sitting in Council Meetings to transcribe what occurred for the town records.

They are Meena’s right hand and she would be lost without them. But, with the number of countless complaints the Town Hall has been receiving over the past year with the recent attacks and murders, they had often felt overlook or undermined by the Residents of Lunar Cove and by other individuals who work in the building.

That was until your character became the first person in town to have made any leads on the Catalyst/continuous attacks the Cove keeps on facing. You may have a desk job and often be given grunt work, but through all of the documents that come in and off of your desk, you stumbled across evidence that Theodore Moore, the late Clan Leader, before Meena took over his position, was never actually dead to begin with. Your character brought the information up the chain of command and they were able to rescue the previous clan leader.

Only after the 2023 Ren Faire, you learned that Catalyst wanted Theo to be found. Your crowning achievement was a trap and ,in turn, you witnessed Theo turn on the town attacking your friends and loved ones.

It is up to you where you go from here. You could be hellbent on proving yourself again, want to make things right or would prefer to sink back into the shadows and go unnoticed after your discovery took a turn for the worst. But, only time will tell what other leads you may find and truth you may be able to reveal...
