okay so here's my 'yes and' to your anon about stobin having platonic kids together, I have a half-formed plot in my brain about a healthy version of lavender marriage, like just them saying "fuck it" and marrying each other in the mid 90s because They Are Each Other's Person! in a completely non-romantic/non-sexual way, like – we are going to get a home loan together, and we are going to share health insurance, and you are going to be the cosigner on all my legal documents and by god if I'm dying in a hospital I want YOU, MY PERSON to be the one who's allowed spousal-level access to my records (my best friend and I have a pact to do this if anything ever happens to her husband 😭)

Okay but no this is exactly how I picture Stobin in the future! This is what I mean when I talk about qpr Stobin! Every time a fic is like "Steve is sad Robin is moving away for school" like no silly he is going to go with her! They are going to spend the rest of their lives together! This includes major life decisions, and after a while it just makes sense for them to get married, especially for the opportunities that open up for them wrt all the stuff you said with insurance, loans, and the like!
