the editing in today's video is absolutely phenomenal, I'm not even finished watching it yet and it's already made me laugh harder than anything as of recent. I love the green screen bits and all of the quick-paced jokes before getting right back into storytelling mode, it's really entertaining

What made you ship it?

I saw their height difference, shipped them as a joke, and then went '....wait a minute.'

What are your favorite things about this ship

JUST THAT MIU AND MAKI WOULD BE SO SOFT WITH EACH OTHER OK ... Miu sees Maki struggle with something and she comes back with an invention that fixes the problem. Miu hears that Maki likes sweets and starting baking treats to give to her. "Midhara said you might like these but idk i dont care 🙄" and then Maki smiles at her and Miu just dies on the spot. Maki returns the favor by listening to her talk about her inventions and they have stupid conversations that leads to nowhere sometimes. And Maki and her sitting down to watch silly cartoons together .... MAN I JUST. they deserve the world ok.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I invented this ship, prove me wrong. Also they're yaoi. Ok.

THE WHOLE GAME i just think theyre also rly good for each other :)

What are your favorite things about this ship?

The fact that they're soulmates. They met before anyone else and were both so sure they'd be in each other's lives for a long time. Then they meet again in the nwp and hang out and eventually Hajime finds her presence comforting. Chiaki guides him through the trials and to the decision of choosing to create your own future. WHY COULDNT THEY HAVE BEEN NORMAL TEENAGERS TOGETHER 😔

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

They should always be in love, Hajime should always be missing her just a bit.

The hand holding I WATCHED THE ANIME FIRST AND TGEN THE GAME SORRY but literally the handholding...

What are your favorite things about this ship?

Again, just how perfect they are for each other. Kyoko being a bit attracted to the mystery surrounding Celeste and Celeste finding Kyoko very inch resting ... I like to think Celeste was kinda like. Let's fuck around and find out. But oops looks like Celeste likes her too much and starts feeling self conscious. Kyoko enjoys getting to know her but Celeste pulls away. Then Kyoko grabs her hands and reassures her she'll never be disappointed about getting to know her. Dude. Dude. Ue ue ue

Celeste is the boyfriend. Kyoko's the girlfriend. That's all.

as far as I know your AA video is gonna be covering the first game, but I'm still really curious to hear how you feel about Dahlia since she's gotten the "deceptively complex meangirl that's disregarded by the fandom" treatment

I will likely go deeper into this in the actual T&T video so I apologize for keeping it briefer than I maybe would otherwise, but!

Yeah, I do think Dahlia's potential for depth is overlooked. Not only by the fandom but even by the game itself, to an extent. And to a degree I get that, y'know, she is ultimately meant to be an antagonist who you revel in seeing taken down (much like someone like Von Karma before her), but I think the bits we get about her life outside the scope of her crimes are really interesting and kind of beg for exploration that we're denied.

I find it kind of fascinating how, even if briefly, she expresses a sort of pity for Pearl, because she knows exactly how it feels to be held to this impossible standard of Morgan's and to be purely viewed as an extension of her own desires. She doesn't resent Pearl for being treated better than her, but rather recognizes the enormous pressure that is on her shoulders, being a "success" where she failed, because that means Morgan will only further try to take advantage of her. Ultimately she's not too sympathetic to this (she is Dahlia, after all), but I always thought that was compelling. I also think it's a genuine shame that they underplay the family connection she has to Mia herself, given that their dynamic is probably her most fleshed out aside from with Phoenix and Iris.

And then there's Terry...which is a whole can of worms I struggle to formulate a good response for. Because all of the details in the game are set up precisely in a way to make Dahlia clearly be seen as at fault for everything in that situation, and yet the creepy age gap aspect of the relationship always rubs me the wrong way when it comes to this. Dahlia's manipulative nature could have been just as easily conveyed without this aspect of the story being present, and I would argue it would have been much more effective. As it stands, it makes it difficult for me to feel the full, intended weight of Terry's tragedy because I am constantly questioning why he's dating a 14 year old, y'know?

Anyway. I've probably said too much already LOL, but Dahlia is a great character. I just think she's perhaps a bit greater than Takumi himself realized, and thus I think some of her potential ultimately ends up squandered, even if she is in some of what I consider to be the series' greatest material.
