"You okay?? You’ve been staring at my mouth like it’s saying something secret... Should I start using subtitles?" he laughs softly and keeps talking, but now a bit flustered and your face is crimson red

He notices almost immediately, raising an eyebrow with a smirk.

"Well… I know I’m irresistible and all, but this is getting awkward.. you keep glancing at my lips like you want to devours it.. not stoping you though" he whispered the last phrase and leans in slightly just to mess with you

He catches your gaze and quickly looks away, biting his lips slightly to hide a smile.

"Don’t do that. You keep looking at me like that, and I might actually do something stupid." mumbles it more to himself than to you, but his ears are a bit red now

He notices your stare, smirks confidently, and leans just a bit closer.

"If you want a kiss, just say it. I don't mind skipping straight to the good part." he chuckles, completely unfazed, then casually goes back to what he was saying

He pauses mid-sentence when he sees where your eyes are, then smirks.

"Careful… staring like that might give me the wrong idea. Or... the right one, depending on your intentions." his tone is playful, but his gaze lingers a little longer than usual

He notices, grins, and immediately teases you.. Touching his lips slowly and pretending to fix them.

"What? Something on my lips? kinda dry.. need some hydration.." he laughs and wiggles his brows dramatically just to tease you more

He tilts his head, confused at first but quickly catches on.

"Is there something on my lips? Did I eat something weird?" He starts checking his reflection on his phone, then glances at you again

"Wait… or were you just… staring?" he blinks in surprise, now unsure whether to tease or be flustered

A/N: Hi. Eribin here. I finally made a Kazuma fanfic, guys! Honestly, I was thinking of Fujio while writing this, but somehow the name Kazuma Kawamura just fits better. THIS UNEDITED. o you might spot some typos or grammar errors beacuse I just couldn’t let it sit in my drafts any longer. I was also exploring of different style of writing so you can see a lot of italize words/phrases. AND THIS IS JUST A FICTION, SEPARATE THIS FROM REALITY. THIS IS PURELY FICTIONAL FROM MY DELUSIONS.

"Okay everyone, here are your test results" The teacher announced and the room filled with the sound of papers being handed out..

I reached for my test paper.. already half-expecting what was coming.

98/100. Not bad. Actually, it was amazing. My sleepless night totally paid-off.

"I got 100!"

"Tsk.." I scoffed, flipping the paper face-down on my desk.

"second place again?" I heard him just beside me. That infuriatingly smooth voice. I mentally face-palm.

I didn't look. I don't need to. Coz I know who exactly who it was.

Kazuma with his usual chill vibe, walked past, probably patting himself on the back for that perfect score.

"Don't talk to me" I muttered and rolled my eyes on him

"I didn't study at all for this one" He said, ignoring what just I said.

I slammed my pen down and glance up at him "Shocking. A man does nothing and still gets praised."

Kazuma arched a brow and playful smirk visible in his face "whoah... getting some man-hater vibe today"

"The man-hater is just being realistic around here Mr. Kawamura" I snapped "Especially when I'm forced to.. you know, breathe the same air as you"

He smirked. ugh! that look! The one meant like he wasn't bothered at all.. like he was amused and entertained. Worse? HE LOOKS INTERESTED.

"Okay Y/N. I could see your angry aura right now" he said and raised his hands in like surrendering.

"go away, Kazuma"

He just laughed at me and sat on his seat.. which is just beside me. ugh! contaminating my oxygen!

Kazuma tilted his head and his smug smile written in his face "Has anyone ever told you that you always shine in your spot? Seriously, the way the light from the window hits you? Definitely a paid actor."

I-i.. w-what!????

He grinned like an idiot

"Stop saying weird things" I hissed at him and rolled my eyes. i felt my face turning red. I looked away, because he's doing it again.. getting to me. flirting with me, make my heart flutter, making me blush.. ugh!

"It's true tho, if you just accept my love, I could do so much more.. saying good things about you, The position of being the number 1 in class and other intimate position we could--"

"WHAT THE FUC-- YOU'RE WIERD" I said and smacked him on the shoulder. He just laughed and I know he loves making fun of me.

"what!? I'm just stating facts if you dated me, you'd be the happiest… well, second happiest, because I'd be the happiest."

"ugh! I don't need a man to be happy. And certainly I don't need you to be happy." I said emphasizing the word YOU.

"well yeah.. I know.. You're the independent and the man-hater Y/n.." he said, thoughtfully stroking his chin "But you're the one I needed. so..." he added in low, husky voice

I froze.. what!??? I rolled my eyes on him. I swear, I could practically see my brain rattling around inside my skull.

"stop it!" I whispered.

"Why? is it working?" he asked in calm and shameless manner.

I clenched my jaw, fighting back the urge to say something truly cutting. I really did hate him.

I hated him for being good at everything. How he easily beat me even at the things I excelled at. How effortlessly he made me feel like my hard work was a big joke. But worse? I hated how face my heart raced when he said things like this.

"I hate you"

"I know.." he said, suddenly softer "But i like you.."

I look at him, confused. my heart still racing. Was this a confession? or is he making fun of me again?

I met his gaze, dark, intense and unblinking. He really look serious.

The bell rang, snapping the tension between us.

I grabbed my bag and stood fast my chair

but he stood up first and casually blocked my path with one arm, leaning against the door frame

"move" i said in gritted teeth, unimpressed

"make me" showing his smug smile again

but I stepped forward and my i clenched my fist "Don't test me-"

"Can't help it.. you're too cute when you're mad"

WHAT THE HELL.. i Hated how my cheeks betrayed me again..

"You're crazy!" I said and tried to push him but he didn't budge.. The other classmates, sensing the familiar tension, were discreetly exiting through the other door. They knew better than to get involved in our rivalry.

Kazuma smiled at me lazily bending slightly closer.. "Only for you.."

I pushed him harder and and finally managed to escape the room. what the hell was that? My steps echoing through the hallway, my ears burning and chest keeps on frantic fluttering..

Kazuma watched me leave, eyes sharp and locked to my back like a hunter on his prey..

"I'll beat you every time.." he muttered in serious tone "until your heart's the only thing left for me to win"
