Hey, thanks for the question.My opinion is that the character of Sheik is male but before anyone says ‘but omgz it’s actually Zelda’, I’m well aware of that. I’ve always thought that it’s just Zelda disguising herself as a guy, so for example, if I (a female) decided to disguise myself as Link, it wouldn’t suddenly make the character of Link a female, it would just be a female disguised as a male. I’m not too into this debate myself but if people want to debate it then go ahead :)

Has anyone else gotten to the point to when they open something in real life you hear the opening a chest sting? or am I just crazy?

Hm, woah I never heard the opening chest song in my head when I open things but, that must be cool ! You probably have a Link inside your body, just like the Deku Tree, and he is doing an important quest :o Lucky youuu :3 I don't think it's something to worry about ^^
