And all the lawyer details and having to deal with all that probably severed the ties permanently and we don't get to know those details, nor do we deserve to.

y'know lately the sentiment going on thats like 'idk why you expect me to check where im getting my posts from and its weird for you to message me like hey dont you know xyz is y like why do you want me to vet shit like im a cop' is something i like. feel is very understandable. i dont think the idea is wrong, and i dont think the people making the posts or reblogging them are inherently wrong or bad people. they're born from like. getting messages about fucking fandom discourse opinions, and other trivial 'online-only' drama, as if its the most important thing in the world, when its like really not, and its encouraging this hyper-surveillance of your peers online. all of that is a normal thing to push back again and be worried about enabling.

but i also like. it concerns me when i see someone reblog a feminism post and the op is a fucking terf or some other equivalent. like im sorry buddy but i do actually think you have to care when you are reblogging that. 'they made a good point' did they though. did they. or are you just bad at recognizing dog whistles. or do you just not understand any of the underlying politics to their beliefs that permeate their every post. maybe they didn't make a good point and you just being suckered into their pipeline. did you consider that one.

idk man. i dont really like the internet state of hyper-vigilance and cancelling, where any wrong move no matter how minor, innocuous, or just like blatantly unjustified and born of misinformation gets you crucified and harassed. and to be super clear i don't think reblogging a post from a poisoned source is a damnable offense that means you deserve to be cancelled, harassed, etc etc. but at the same time. i think when you are engaging with political posts on the internet. you have to do your due diligence. you can't just parrot politics blindly. if you're going to post like you care about xyz political issue then like....yeah. You have to actually do the work and care. And that means fucking checking your sources or accepting when other people tell you your source is bad.

Yes it's hard to let go off someone when we try to get over each memory of theirs, it always keeps on haunting us when you think you are almost done with them, but the actual feeling of moving on hits when you forget thinking about them, they just skipped from your brain on anyday and you now recall those days of anger and hatred when you were trying hard for the same. It all works out in the end, it does when you're least expecting it to occur but yes that feels good.
