That's such a beautiful question Allahuma barik laki ✨🥺

Since you are already aware of the importance of being good to one's parents, it is of the greatest acts of worships in Islam, Alhamdulillah, imma just go into the practical part. First of all, the ways a person can improve their relationship with their parents are infinite. They range from common and general to very culture-specific and maybe family-specific because to each family their dynamics. So you have the following:

- Make constant excessive duaa for them

- Ask Allah swt to forgive them and grant them Jannat

Dua for parents: “Rabbi irhamhuma kama rabbayanee sagheeran” “My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was small.” [Quran; Surah Al-Isra, Verse 24]

“Rabbana ighfir lee waliwalidayya walilmumineena yawma yaqoomu alhisab” “Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents, and (all) the believers on the Day when the reckoning will be established.” [Quran: Surah Ibrahim, Verse 41]

- Ask Allah swt to save them for the torment of the grave and from Jahannam

- Spend quality time with them ( visit them if you do not live together or call them on the phone etc)

- Buy them gifts

- Help them around the house

- Go out with them

Etc.

Then there is the more personalized ones depending on what your family dynamics are.. but I have to say that even the smallest attention and the smallest act of affection does please the parents especially when they are older, sübhanallah.

Then, another beautiful way you can be a good daughter to your parents is by striving to be the best Muslimah that you can and the best person that can to your community. You should strive to have the best manners and the best character which will bring a lot of khayr on your parents.

Finally, I think one if the greatest things that can make a difference in your relationship with your parents is trying to understand them and trying to forgive them for their mistakes and shortcomings.
