pov he is going to fuck you up  technically another fall of the castle of lions redraw but mostly me having fun with purple.  allow me to rehash my favorite headcanon from 2016 which is that activating his galra arm is painful bc he always looks extra jaw clenched when he uses it, but in a fight it would just be part of the adrenaline

Is team purple lion still active in 2024?
Yes, we are :D We're relatively quiet these days, but we're still here. We have a small, private discord where we hang out. More akin these days to a group of friends rather than a team working for a cause. (If you'd like to join us, drop me a message! We're always happy to meet new friends) Don't mistake me though, we are absolutely still united by our desire to see OGS8 and vindicate the EPs. We've just... run out of ideas for what we personally can do to achieve those goals. In the meantime we enjoy other fandoms while keeping an ear out and an eye open for any new developments with Voltron. My thoughts are, that it'll take someone on staff opening up about what went down for anything to change. The cast and crew were almost definitely made to sign new NDAs at some point and we have no idea when or even if those will expire. I can guarantee that WEP is going to continue to try and make new Voltron projects in the future so it's absolutely possible that news of one of those will crack the floodgates open.
I've never given up on the idea of making a video adaptation of my essays, though the temptation to say potentially libellous things is strong! I've also been kicking around the idea of making a webcomic adaptation of S7 and S8 that attempts to put the original vision and themes back together. The problem there being that that would be a massive project. Years and years of a project. But. I mean. It's already been 5 years, hasn't it? And still the fury and injustice of it all burns amidst the love for VLD in my heart.
I've had many fandoms over the years, but none with the staying power as this one has for me. I imagine I shall die still holding a love for VLD and its characters. And the original plan for its story.

You know, I had a thought. So originally I was going to suggest a few flying types for Sky to have, but then I remembered something. Dragons, he was blessed by dragons in his era, right? So what if dragons types just flock to him? Like I'd love for him to have a Dratini. Or Altaria works as well, cause imagine all the naps he could have on the fluffy bird/dragon!
Ooooo! Good choices!
Dragonite would also be fitting. Powerful in it's own right but no one really expects much of it.
The kind of pokemon that would allow other to their guards down around him- for better or worse. Like Sky! :D
That being said- I am also aware that there are better options ^.^*
But I love him.

hey new N, can you tell us a bit about your life from your timeline?
Hm? Oh, sure! First though I'd like to sincerely apologize about the N you know disappearing. I really don't know how or why something like this would happen... I hope it'll all be sorted out soon. Blake assures me it will in a day or so, so I trust them.
Anyways, I'm guessing you're asking cause you're curious of how different my life is from the N of this world, so I guess while I wait to get sent back home I can indulge you!
Let me see... well, originally I grew up in a forest with a family of wild Pokemon that raised me and my brother Nox. Not sure whatever happened to my biological parents or why they left me there, but I was pretty happy nonetheless. Then one day, Alder found me and took me in as his own. I trained under him for most of my life, and he taught me a lot about the relationship unity between people and Pokemon. But he also always told me about there being hardships, too. People who used Pokemon as tools, them getting into fights because they couldn't understand each other... but he told me it didn't shine a candle to the incredible things the two could accomplish when they worked together.
I've always had the rare ability to hear the voices of Pokemon. Not just hear what they're saying, but sense what they're feeling in their hearts, too. I thought that with that ability, I could be a sort of "bridge" between us. Help there be less suffering in the world for both. I started out pretty small, just by helping people who were having difficulties training their Pokemon reach a common ground and give them tips on how they could improve and work together more. But then... this group called Team Plasma sprouted up, claiming they wanted to "liberate" Pokemon from people. They were lead by a man named "Ghetsis", and basically he was trying to awaken the two legendary dragons to achieve that.
Hearing about this, I decided to set out on a journey of my own to try and stop him. I took on the gyms along the way, made a lot of new friends, and upon reaching Castelia City I found out Team Plasma had invaded a small island called Liberty Garden. I sailed there, and that's where I found them trying to steal a Pokemon called Victini. Long story short... Victini ended up joining my party! Throughout my journey I had to keep it secret, though, with it being a Mythical and whatnot...
At one point I discovered Plasma had darker intents. Ghetsis was plotting to use the two Legedary Dragons in order to take control of Unova and force humans and Pokemon to separate. I believe he found the stones and made his two daughters become their chosens... what were they called? I'm not good with names... I think they were Conco-
...oh. Concordia and Anthea.
...Ah- anyways, Victini and I managed to defeat them. I guess in reality Ghetsis was only using them for power and didn't actually care about "saving" Pokemon, so once they realized that they left with their respective dragons. I haven't heard from either of them since... I hope they're both doing alright. I'm not sure if they stayed together or went their own separate ways.
Following that I challenged my dad at the Pokemon League and managed to win the champion title. These days I mostly just fulfill my duties, and continue to help mend the rifts between people and Pokemon where I can. My dream's to see a world where we no longer have to worry about people like Ghetsis anymore. Where everyone is collectively striving for a better future, together. I don't know if I'll see something like that in my lifetime, but at the very least? I want to leave the world in a better state than I found it.
So... yeah! I think that about catches you up. To be honest I'm struggling to grasp what Blake's been telling me about the me from this timeline. I was Ghetsis' son and the chosen of Zekrom?

@works-of-magic asked: Hey, so I saw your tag on the legedaries poll! I'd completely understand if it's Not My Business, but what did you mean by "after the shit [you've] seen"? Just curious what kind of shit you've seen that could influence belief in something like a legendary! And I may be fishing for stories. I love hearing others' stories!
Totally understand if it's too personal though.
Right i forgot to answer this the other day
So bottom line is that a lot of weird shit happens on luxia. Especially if you’re a Prism student, because sometimes you can pick up jobs to help the townsfolk with the weekly weirdshit, and there’s an entire vault of the reality altering bullshit crystals below the school—
A cluster of them can sometimes be unstable enough to create an ultra wormhole. We found UB-Blaster from the po-town incident through that.
So uh currently
A pokemon known as Enamorous lives above the school and I have to instinctively refrain from hunching when it’s looking my direction
Regirock is currently our new geology teacher I think..? One of my friends keeps complaining about how nothing’s being taught. I don’t understand what the principal is up to with how they run the school.
Meloetta teaches art
Shaymin is friends with a gogoat who learned ivy cudgel under ogerpon’s tutelage to rescue it from team Gleam, and they’ll sometimes bust down my door to say hi and ask for treats (they don’t know how doors work)
And I literally gave darkrai a pb&j’s once and got literal gold coins in exchange. What the fuck do I do with that.
So uh. Eldritch entity that controls all of time? Yeah, believable enough.

⚡️Happy Birthday to photographer extraordinaire Dominique Tarlé who took some of the of the most famous photographs in music history, including this one during the legendary Rolling Stones Exile on Main St. recordings in the South of France in 1971. 🇫🇷 You can see Dominique reflected in the mirror in this amazing shot.. 😉 Joyeux anniversaire Dominique! 🎉 @tarledominique Keith Richards reclines on the parquet floor of the luxurious Villa Nellcôte in the South of France during the legendary Exile on Main St. recordings. ✨ Seated with what appears to be his legendary 1953 Fender Telecaster - nicknamed "Micawber" - in his lap, Keith is surrounded by Anita Pallenberg, looking as stylish as ever with her legs slung over an armchair, Gram Parsons, and Parsons' girlfriend at the time, Gretchen Burrell. The guitar was supposedly gifted to him on his 27th birthday about 6 months earlier by Eric Clapton, and it remains one of his very favorite instruments to this day. ❤️ This image is the most iconic and sought-after photograph from that legedary Summer of 1971. The scene perfectly captures the long warm nights spent working out riffs and the endless mix of family and friends that streamed in and out of that estate. ☀️ This photograph is extremely rare and limited - please contact us for more information via email [email protected] or DM us here. Writing Commissions Open!
Hi everyone I am going to be opening my commissions for the very first time. I've always wondered how this'll work, but I figured out a system and prices for it.
Commissions will be sent via DMs on tumblr, they can be either original work or fanfiction. Due to the nature of this, I won't be posting them on my AO3 account or twitter.
Fandoms are, but not limited to, the following: Voltron: Legedary Defender, Jumanji, Dungeons and Daddies S1 and S2, Dimension 20, Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja, Scum Villain Self-Saving System, Princess Tutu, Galligher's Mansion, Something's Wrong with Sunny Day Jack, Nimona, Danny Phantom, Supernatural, The School of Good and Evil (book and movie), Royal Alchemist, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Vampire Knight, Miraculous Ladybug, Owl House, and others. I enjoy consuming and writing various tropes like mistaken identity, amnesia, slow-burns, secret identities, angst, fluff, soft-core, and A/B/O. If any of them strikes your fancy, I'm you boi.
If you don't see a fandom you want me to write for, you can ask in DMs. I have read a lot of books, and watched plenty of cartoons, anime, and movies. Maybe I've seen it, maybe I haven't, but ultimately the decision is yours.
If you are interested, please click on the page break below. If not, happy scrolling!

Pokemon Journeys Episode 133 Review
Tumblr media
Pokemon Journeys Episode 133. Let’s review:
So how did things start off with the first part of Goh’s final Project Mew mission in Journeys? It was... atmospheric?
While looking for Mew at Faraway Island is a nice reference to the Mew Event in Pokemon Emerald (which was like Japanese exclusive because Game Freak was never at Mystery Gift, let’s be honest) and the part with the gang scaling the cliff did a REALLY good job in framing several times, showing just how high they were from the ground and giving the right sense of peril when their cable got cut. I before that, I really liked the reference to the Deoxys movie of having everyone’s Pokeballs getting shut off, preventing them from sending out or recalling any of their Pokemon.
Everything else though... eh. For one, Horace has a Virizion. Just casually in a regular Pokeball. From a past mission. The Journeys series is REALLY diminishing the impact of Legendary Pokemon as a whole, as Horace, freaking Horace, has more Legendary Pokemon than trainers like Lance or Cynthia. You can’t be serious with this. And with all of this in mind, how is Project Mew now any different from other organizations who’ve ALSO disturbed the territory of Legendary Pokemon at their own leisure for their own selfish purposes just to permanently contain away from their homes which in turn could ruin how the natural order of their environments.
And speaking of Legedaries... why is Groudon so small? It may just be the framing, but it looks no taller than an Aggron or Tyranitar. Remember when things were at least half the size of mountains? And it’s a little too hate to give Grookey some development. Recall that this little shoulder decoration has only used one move ever for a non-combat situation. And let’s not beat around the bush, Goh is definitely gonna catch Mew next episode. And boi, do I have some things to say for that next time.
Ah well, I’ll give this episode a 6/10. Yeah, I know I had some complaints, but eh, could be worse.

I've been playing d1 and it's remarkable how much more rewarding gameplay feels. I get to upgrade my weapons based on how much I use them. My armour unlocks upgrades when it absorbs damage and protects me. My blue (rare) auto rifle has like 9 different perks, that can only be unlocked through use (i.e. xp) or motes of light - it's not even legendary and it's amazing.
D1 also feels more rewarding because you can tell most of the green (uncommon) rifles (and, weapons in general) aren’t absolute dogshit but actually have models and responsiveness like Halo battle rifles, auto rifles or pulse rifles. Even if you find a blue (rare) rifle which you like better and which has better stats, responsiveness and model, you would only pick that because it’s better, not because the greens are bad on their own. I’ll admit getting generic world-drop armor isn’t as rewarding because the in-game models aren’t crafted as uniquely as rares and legendaries in D2 (also, rare and legedary gear drops much more often in D1), though the range of armour sets is much greater in D2 and some are much more strongly repulsive or attractive, and I prefer only a few styles of Hunter armour in D1 - 3/4 or full-length capes, flowing smooth fabric instead of weird pointy textures, and just a bit of a hood with no huge high collars - so I’ve spent quite a lot of time looking forward to level 40 / TTK/Rise of Iron armor sets (essentially free-to-play non-strike PVE endgame content) instead of enjoying what I have.
Thankfully, it’s not like D2 where you might as well throw out most rare weapons because you can’t infuse them (light level creep is stupid btw and sunsetting is worse) or they look or feel like shit. (There are exceptions: for example in D2 I like the Cuboid ARU, the suros kinetic auto, and the suros elemental auto rifles, and there’s nothing wrong with the Plemusa-B grenade launcher, with its static auto-loading perk).
Everything in D2 feels more solid and also more...bulky and newer and more generic. Every time I go back to D1 I feel like I’m smarter cos I learn the types of rifles and can recognise my fav ones by name first and icon second. It feels like a more unique game. (In D2 I look at the icon of a blue weapon and I almost immediately scrap it cos it’s just not as good as a legendary. I learn the individual weapons instead of the weapon types, which is good in terms of a memory exercise but less interesting in terms of the process of recall. It also highlights exactly just how many weapons the D2 team has had to import or create which are then almost never used because they can’t be infused or don’t have good perks found on legendary weapons and thus are discarded in favour of lengendary weapons. It’s to the art/asset team’s credit that they made so many weapons that look and feel unique and it’s sad that the gameplay/sandbox team have a system which obfuscates that effort.)
Don’t get me wrong, D2Y1 does have a much better story, because the Red War returns guardians to a place of struggle against a much more powerful force - the Red Legion - and that’s much better than D1, where you get rezzed and make your way to the Last City, and the storyline of Crota/The Black Garden Sol Divisive IS there but it just doesn’t feel impactful AT ALL. The Tower is a big shining example in the Last City on Earth of... I have no idea what. The House of Wolves expansion is ...okay. There is very little characterization to differentiate the different Fallen houses and I just don’t care. The Taken King is good, and Rise of Iron is good, but they all still suffer from everything being imparted through lore and voiced radio communications, instead of being shown on screen. (That’s why Forsaken is so good - it shows you working with Cayde and Petra on screen.)
On an entirely separate note, I only picked up D2 in season of the undying at the end of Shadowkeep, but I did as much of the Shadowkeep campaign as possible (i.e. not including the black garden and pit of heresy) and I'm glad to find I'm not the only person who thought the storyline started and then went absolutely nowhere. (People who are on PC or have paid subscription and who have done the strikes and dungeon agree that the campaign story starts and then goes nowhere.) You enter the garden, see yourself and the pyramid and the pyramid shard, and that's it. It was supposed to be an introduction to the arrival of the pyramids and the contact with the Darkness in Season of Arrivals which itself is a prelude to the second Collapse (the loss of most of the planets) and the beginning of the Year 4 to Year 6 trilogy, Beyond Light/Witch Queen/Lightfall; BUT Shadowkeep actually mostly had a “revenant Hive” theme (for the missions, excluding the raid) and was kinda empty once you finished it, unlike Forsaken, and quite like Beyond Light, which has a “frozen Fallen” theme (for the patrol spaces, excluding the Vex content). Both also stray away from the greater theme. I guess the intent is to drip content slowly and flesh out side-characters and make a more interesting filled world instead of just dropping huge plotlines, but, it kinda sucks.
On another entirely separate note, in D1 you get introduced to darkness zones where you can't respawn (to make it more challenging for gameplay). Since they're always populated by large numbers of enemies or a few very powerful enemies, I always got the impression that the Darkness as defined in the Destiny universe literally exudes from those individuals who operate by Sword logic ie that they'd rather kill races different to their own than greet and extend the hand of friendship. Thus in some physical spaces such as the lair of a particularly powerful Hive boss, you can’t respawn in that space, because they are so powerfully evil. In a similar way, the guardians spread light by exploring and gaining knowledge and pushing back the enemies of humanity (like how the jedi figuratively spread light by doing good deeds with the force) although light can’t be used to suppress minions of the dark from resurrecting (normally - Hive are a special case) because the inverse is untrue; the Darkness doesn’t automatically resurrect dead individuals, whilst Ghosts using the Light do.
But in D2 we meet the pyramids who are literally the embodiment of the Darkness, and with beyond light, we learn they can literally take planets away. This is such a big difference in both storytelling and lore implications.
They don't themselves create races that then spread across the universe and operate by Sword logic (as far as I know which is not every much) but they're just sort of there. It seems terribly inconsistent. I mean yes the whole of Destiny is stupid. Planets disappear and no one gives a hoot actually. Characters die or are killed off and there are few lasting repercussions because our character can’t (can’t die). Characters are used or ununused on the basis of their voice actors’ availability, not story or lore. It’s so inconsistent, like, yes, bad guys exist and can kill you but not permanently. But then gods also exist but you can kill them, sometimes permanently. Hive bosses definitely you can kill, you’ve just got to do it twice before sunset (once in the normal world and once in their throne world). But then also para-causal beings exist but and they can harm you but never permanently really.
