Technically fist appearing in Secret Origins Special Vol 2 #1 1989, but under the names Query and Probe. We will have to discuss all the different names before going into them as individuals.

Detective Comics Annual #8 1995 is the first time they are who we truely know today as Query (Diedre Vance) and Echo (Nina Damfino). At the time working at a sex club called Pandora, they were petty crooks who decided to rob the Riddler after a heist. He was not only able to convince him to not Rob him, but to become his hired help.

Enigma the Riddler's daughter (Allegedly) first apeared in Teen Titans #38 2006 Joining the heroic team before shortly making an appearance in Gotham alongside her father to carry out his crimes. Eventually betraying the Titans along with Joker's daughter to Teen Titans East. Until being doubled crossed by Joker's daughter and losing to the Titans. Shortly afterwards while working with her father she was killed by him. Dark Crisi she was named Quinn Nash appearing in the Arkham Academy program inside Batman urban Legends 21 2023. Were it is stated father would go on to be mentally abusive. Pushing her to be just as smart as him, when she failed to show this, Riddler tried to kill her for not being as smart as him. Next appearing in DC's 'Twas the 'Mite Before Christmas (2023) #1 where she goes on a date with Batwoman and helps her unravel her father's plans.

Quiz real name Miyu Tangram from Legends of the Dark Knight #2 2021. Marketed as Riddler's Punchline she sent him a riddle which led to an easy bank robbery. He had the wrong code for the safe and she revealed her self from the hostages in told him the code and to take her with him. A massive fan of his work and later on his lover.

Miss Tuesday the Riddlers short lived sidekick in Batman: The Audio Adventures (Podcast) 2021.

Enigma real name Evelyn Rhyme and actual daughter of the Riddler in Batwoman season 2 2021. In which she is a master hypnotist who worked for Black Mask and made Kate Kane think she was Circe Sionis. She effected many other but was killed by Ocean to prevent her from reversing her work on Alice.

For thoughts I feel a story from the perspective of Query and Echo could be very interesting into aspects. Not only would it give us the inner workings of The Riddlers work, but a unique view as a henchmen. At no point of a stepped on or looked down upon unlike other henchmen. They are the lowest of below but they're on top of the Heap. In regards to the various children, partners and fans I think actively bringing them together could be something interesting. Maybe Riddler actively puts a test out there to attract people who are the same level of intelligences him. Trying to build a team to take over Gotham through brains instead of brawn. Project Daedalus it could be called and each of the characters could have a different specialization.

Myth-making anime fantasy, crafted with Makoto Shinkai's usual opulence, Children Who Chase Lost Voices draws on a variety of legends about the underworld, including Orpheus's journey to Hades to reclaim Eurydice. The protagonist is a young girl, Asuna, who finds herself in a subterranean land called Agartha, accompanied by her teacher, Mr. Morisaki, who knows a good deal, though not enough, about Agartha. He wants to go there to see if he can bring his dead wife back to life. Asuna is driven by curiosity about a strange boy named Shun, whom she met on her wanderings in the hills near her village. They discover that they have to deal with the animosity of the residents of Agartha toward people from the upper world. (The subtitles call them "Topsiders," which for me has a distracting footwear overtone.) It's too creepy and violent for younger kids, and some of its plot points, such as the suggestion that Agartha has been exploited by malign upper-world forces like the Nazis, need better context. But it's never boring and always a treat for the eye.

What's your favorite part from legend of Zhen huan? I saw a few people say they prefer the first part but I'm honestly a much bigger fan of the second half once she starts scheming left and right and takes down every single person who wronged her including the emperor which lmfao it's so obvious this drama is from almost 15 years ago because this would not even come close to flying nowadays even in 2018 it would've been impossible I miss harem dramas I hope they get a come back it's been 6 years

My 2 favorite arcs are approximately eps 25-43 (the Hua Fei arc) and eps 55-68 (the Huang Hou arc). But I think both Zhen Huan (and Ruyi Zhuan) are very good at making the antagonistic female characters sympathetic, and importantly casted them with good actresses who can portray multidimensional characters.

Despite Zhen Huan and Ruyi being in my top 10s, I have mix feelings about harem dramas in general. It’s definitely a very specific genre (or rather 宫斗 as a specific type of cdrama). When it’s done well, like Zhen Huan, it can be very effective. But when it’s not done well (the same team tried to capture the magic with Miyue a few years later but never quite hit the mark) it can really leave a bad taste in my mouth and I get why people don’t like it as a genre.

Vampires

No after-death spirit retains as much fascination for the living as does the vampire. Popularly known as the un-dead, many understand vampires to exist on a plane somewhere between the realms of the living and the dead. Are vampires tortured souls of the dead, compelled to feed upon the living? Or are they souls rewarded with eternal life, able to achieve the alchemist’s ultimate fantasy without spending endless hours shut up in a laboratory?

Who or what exactly are vampires? Interpretations differ; “vampire” is a catch-all word that encompasses may concepts. However, one quality is held in common by all vampires: they suck vitality from others. The most notorious literary and cinematic vampires, like Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Sheridan Le Fanu’s Carmilla, or the inhabitants of Anne Rice’s novels, are blood-suckers. Some vampires kill their victims by draining them of all their blood immediately. More sensuous vampires prolong the process: it isn’t loss of blood that ultimately kills the victim. The blood is merely the means for the vampire to drain the victim’s life force away.

How does one become this type of vampire? Different traditions cite different causes, some much crueler than others if one considers the implications.

Some spirits are believed to be innately vampiric, transcending rhyme or reason

Traditional antidotes to vampires include bells, bright light or sunlight, garlic, onions, and silver bullets or bullets creates from melted down bell metal. Whether crosses and Church-blessed Hole Water also repels vampires or whether this is merely Christian propaganda is subject to debate. Devotees of Japanese anime will recall that these methods have no effect on Vampire Princess Miyu.

I have been having feels about Japanese voice actors lately, so let me bring to your attention that MFB actually has an INCREDIBLE og cast:

Tsuda Kenjirou as Ryuuga

Even if you’ve watched only a few anime or played only a few Japanese games, I strongly believe you have heard this voice. This guy is honestly one of the most respected voice actors in Japan. His distinctive low voice is SO characteristic, it’s a perfect pick for Ryuuga. I could go on and on how sexy he sounds, but let’s keep it family friendly.

Koyasu Takehito as Daidouji

This guy is so known for his villain roles, you just can’t mistake him for anyone else. There’s no better voice for Daidouji.

Hino Satoshi as Tategami Kyouya

Another very popular actor, this role seems to be a bit different than what he’s usually cast as. I really enjoy the way he portrayed the fierceness and fearlessness in Kyouya.

Irino Miyu as Ootori Tsubasa

One of my personal favourite voices ever, he’s very good at portraying calm and collected characters, but also incredibly skilled at shoving their inner turmoil and eventual breakdowns. I wish he was more active in the industry at the moment!

Inoue Marina as Hasama Hikaru

Usually known for more girly roles, Hikaru revealed another, lower layer to her voice. I really enjoy that type of character and she delivered her performance perfectly. Wish she did more roles like this one.

Hayami Shou as Hagane Ryuusei

Another legend who doesn’t need to be introduced. I feel like his performance, even he doesn’t appear in the majority of the episodes, adds a sense of professionalism to every scene he’s in. It’s also a great choice to have him as the narrator in the intro.

Kakihara Tetsuya as Hyouma

He’s mostly known for boyish roles and while Hyouma does fit that criteria, the hidden layer of fake politeness is incredibly fun to listen to. I really enjoyed this performance and it’s a shame he got so little screentime.

Ishida Akira as Ooike Tobio

The legend of all legends. The man can single-handedly perform a skit starring a family of seven! Needless to say, I was delighted to hear him as Tobio. It’s such a fun role and again, I wish he got more dialogue because it’s just SO GOOD to listen to.

Yuuki Hiro as Fukami Ryuutarou

Not only an accomplished actor, but also an incredible singer. His distinctive voice is a perfect pick for Ryuutarou, especially with the unusual speech pattern that he had to pull off. It resulted in a very unique performance.

Okamoto Nobuhiko as Saotome Teru

One of the most popular actors in the recent years, I feel like Teru is one of those roles that you don’t immediately recognise because the actor changes his voice THAT MUCH. It only proves how versatile he can be.

Hatano Wataru as Wang Da Xiang

You might know him from several recent anime, he’s not typically what you have in mind when you think of a “competitive guy focused on upholding a long tradition”. Which is why I think subverting the expectations worked great and giving Da Xiang a rather calm voice was a great choice overall.

Takahashi Hiroki as Zhou Xing (Chao Xin)

Another calm voice in a “not-so-calm” role. He performed Zhou Xing’s childishness and carefreeness so naturally, and yet so different from his normal tone!

Hosoya Yoshimasa as Wells

Another personal favourite, he’s such a sweet guy and yet he possesses one of the MANLIEST voices in the industry. He can perform both goofs and serious guys, but it’s the latter that has such an incredible impact. Naturally, his voice suits Wells like none other.

Yonaga Tsubasa as Demure

You might know him from “cute boy” roles, so it’s really refreshing to hear him in a more challenging role. I really enjoy his composed performance!

Sugiyama Noriaki as Blader DJ

And last but not least, another legendary actor. While DJ might not be a “character” per se, it’s such an important role! I absolutely love his voice. Fun fact, he also voiced the DJ in the og series of Beyblade.

Of course this is only a fraction of the actors performing in MFB but I’ve listed those I’m most familiar with. I just wanted to emphasise they are the some of the most well-respected and popular voice actors in their field - not quite what you’d expect from a show made to advertise toys :)
