1) I feel like in general comic characters will get the higher chances to being wildly out of character because their own comic authors won't even know what they fuck they're even doing, so Imma just say all Batman + Bat-vigilantes gt done so god damn dirty. Rest under the cut 'cause I ramble a ton, haha!

I can't speak for all of them, so I'll just speak for Batman because have you seen comics where they make Batman, of all characters, actually abusive? HUH. WYDM??? He's been one of my fav characters ever since I was young, so I feel so passionately about it! In terms of fanfic/fandom, people can have their fun with characterizations obliviously, I'm not a writing cop, but too good of a Dad!Bruce and too bad of a Dad-like figure!Bruce always irks me. He should be trying his best at his core but still fucking it up anyway.

(That and Jason Todd, I do not have the evidence to back it up but I want to someday, but I am squinting at his character and his dynamics with others. I can't speak on it though, I've fallen into writing fanon much to my distaste or just inexperience.) But a someone who tried to find literally every Bruce Wayne-centric fanfic on the planet,,, y'all do this man so dirty.

2) Unfortunately do not have screencaps because for my own sanity I legit blocked the user, but there is legit someone who watched Invincible and blamed the protag Mark for "not training". I don't know if you've seen the show, but if you had, you would know you'd have to be fucking brain dead to legitimately have that take or just rage baiting. To make a long story short, the plot is legit set up in a way where Mark's father barely trains him, Mark unknowingly enters fights WAAAAAY above his skill level and barely survives, and the only opportunity for him to train is to try not to die through his own experiences. You do see him improve, but it's entirely on his own because he has no other way.

25) I think I stick to my own little corners for a lot of fandom tbh, so I can't think of one! Maybe, like, "Bruce Should've Killed Joker" or "Bruce Should Kill Takes", if any!

I feel like people forget a) not killing is Bruce's thing! He doesn't see any use for it, and to me, is a fundamentally hopeful character who always wants someone have the ability to be redeemed. Who is he to decide to who lives and who dies? Where is the line drawn?

Then b) Bruce kills joker, okay now what? Joker could get replaced by a copy-cat wannabe who does even worse things. Batman is probably going to hang up his coat, because there is one line he's not going to cross and he crossed it. He's not going back to play a hero, it would fuck him up so bad. You ruined a perfectly good Batman, that's what you did. Where's the league gonna get their funding, now?/j

C) If he doesn't want to kill, why should he be made to? He has the write to set a boundary. Killing isn't the end all be all solution here, especially not for crime.

I posted this elsewhere but I want your thoughts on it. I love your takes! Also Hi! I was Ozzy obsessed anon.

I think Marshall is jealous of Ozzy. You know how he said in beer pong he wanted to match with Ozzy and dress the same as him but Ozzy didn’t want too. I think that’s actually quite telling. I think he’s a little envious of his brother in certain ways maybe. That coupled with messing up his bookings and being fired by him. If the thing he wants most is Ozzy’s approval then this could explain Marshall’s behavior. He’s just being dumb about how he processes it by not processing it, being angry, and trying to get him back/talk to him. His methods are just plain ridiculous and hurting other people in the process.

I think Marshall going for who Ozzy is into. (MC) Feels like it was on purpose to hurt Ozzy. I don’t think Marshall’s feelings are genuine rn for anyone. I think that’s why he moves onto Amelia. He isn’t as confident that he could get MC to choose him and away her. He also might slightly feel guilty because Ozzy really likes MC even if MC doesn’t like Ozzy. So he moves onto someone Ozzy has no feelings for and hasn’t. That’s why he didn’t try it on with Grace even though it almost seemed like he would for a moment there last week when they (Marshall and Grace) pulled us for a chat. Marshall’s main objective is getting back to the Villa for Ozzy and will use anyone to do it until he starts feeling guilty about using people Ozzy genuinely likes. Even though Ozzy doesn’t like Grace romantically he likes her as a friend. I think after getting back to the Villa and Marshall x Ozzy boil to a head only after Will Marshall be open to us. I think unfortunately for Amelia. We are the twin Marshall is gonna fall for when he starts to be genuine. Marshall is not Marshall rn I’m certain of it. He’s doing whatever he can to get back to the villa.

I don’t think Ozzy has done anything wrong.

1. My fav fic of yours - flight risk......im pretty sure its the first fic of yours ive ever read but oh god its SO good erics character and everything abt it ??? Had me feeling butterflies so many times i screamed and yelled into my pillow. Also inspired me a lot in my writing slump and like... i dont wanna be cheesy but helped me mentally bc i read it when i was having a rough time 😭👍 but also PARTY PEOPLE !!!!! so good. SO so good. oh and also the sunwoo hoodie drabble owns my ass i reread it like 5 times already

2. My fav chapter in my fav fic of yours - not my fav fic but the kiss scene in the practice room in off the record ??? slaps

3. The best character youve written for - swing my way eric honestly. so authentic to him imo TT i just adore his character in that fic a whole lot.

Something i remember vividly - that scene from flight risk when eric asked sunwoo if he wants to go skate w them and sunwoo goes "no, im down" and eric is like wtf and so sunwoo goes "no, im down. laying down in my bed" or something (the memory is not 100% vivid as u can see) but I legit slapped my knee that was PEAK COMEDY for me

7. Something that made me emotional after reading - that one chapter of somewhere only we know when intak describes how he wishes he could hear his brothers voice sometimes because if he missed him in that way maybe it would hurt less. That whole series is...very personal to me in sense of grief :,)

What’s a trope, AU, or concept you’ve never written, but would like to? i think i'd love to write some real historical fiction AU, like one that i actually do some research for. or, some sort of mindfucky thing where i really play with people's conception of how a story should be told (in the style of my fav author, julio cortázar), but i'm not a good enough writer for either of these LOL

Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you? i'll do this as a bonus because yes! i used to be really eye-rolly about found family but dangerous au will have some of these elements and it's so soothing. of course, in my case my found family is 'violent and suddenly orphaned mafia boys'--something that i tend to not like about the trope is how uwu it can be lol.

Do you visualize what you read/write? very much, though mostly what i write and not what i read. i often see things playing out very cinematically when i'm planning a story--my head zooms out kinda and i can see everything from so many angles. however i have some big visual-spatial deficits so the stuff i imagine is kind of floating in my head instead of in a particular imagined space? hard to explain 😂

What do you like about it? ok so like my deepest cut that i think is one of my best things is a super niche football/crossover AU written in the style of the 'what we do in the shadows' movie and i'm always hesitant to recommend it lol but in terms of more normal things...

this is a deep cut because it's a rare"pair" but this movren/granit threesome i wrote last year, A Team This Good, i'm just really proud of. it was the first time i ever wrote granit actually and i just think i really pulled off all the dialogue and constantly shifting power balances and honestly it's just really hot and managed to have a sweet ending too? i'm really proud of it hahaha

Do you tend to reread fics or are you a one-and-done kind of person? oh, i def reread. mostly because i'm pretty picky about what i like, deep down, so i wind up just rereading that stuff. currently on heavy reread rotation is the "ice ice baby" series 🫣 --i am a frequent rereader of your stuff too ESPECIALLY the granit/aaron tho i am biased there

my fav fic trope is definitely hurt/comfort. i think i love reading it because....i love getting my feelings hurt and then receiving the comfort fgjfndk but honestly when a fic hurts just right, i can like feel it in my chest and the ache will travel all the way down to my hands and it's just SO GOOD! if we get more specific, i love (as we discussed) when person a goes feral when person b gets hurt and also...guy who is insane and evil and mean but not to his love interest.

fav pet name for jimin is 100% kitten >:) i don't get to use it enough but i will change that! also love it when jk calls jimin princess. but i think in general for fic, i'm a sucker for baby/babe. you can never go wrong with a classic. i do love endearments/pet names a LOT tho! so i also love little bird/dove, love, darling, etc etc.

10 Anti LO Asks

1. it's just wild to me how LO fans (and even LO itself) claim to be about feminism and empowerment and calling out misogyny when it also loves to be misogynistic towards Minthe, Thetis, Leto, Aphrodite, etc like?? Even if you don't like the woman personally, calling her a bitch/slut/whore and saying she should be abused/assaulted/killed/tortured in very female-specific ways is also misogynistic?? Like do they think it only counts as if it's towards Persephone and Hera and them alone??

2. That anon mentioned wanting Hera to actually like someone in the story and I am once again pissed at what Rachel did the Thetis because Hera and Thetis have a genuinely good relationship in the myths when it’s brought up. (Also Thetis literally raised Hephaestus but I know that won’t be mentioned here because that would paint her in a good light and Rachel hates mothers). I just… I’ll never understand why Rachel chose the one character from Greek myth who is notable for not sleeping with Zeus and choosing to make her Zeus’ mistress as though Zeus doesn’t have like a hundred other lovers she could’ve chosen. I pray she doesn’t touch of the myth of Achilles conception because I know it gonna be done badly with terrible implications and the last thing we need is the message that Thetis “deserved” to be forced into a marriage (and all that comes with it) because she’s a bitch 

3. I think the reason Eris is sometimes considered Zeus and Hera’s kid is because she seems to get conflated with Enyo a lot (even in like Ancient Greek texts she’s sometimes conflated with her so it isn’t necessarily a new thing) who was a daughter of Zeus and Hera (and sometime Ares’ wife). Still, Eris being Nyx’s daughter seems to be the much more agreed upon version and would’ve just been better overall. Also like I get how Sleeping Beauty kind of has a connection to the Apple of Discord myth but just making Eris basically Maleficent was really dumb

4. I love LO fans because they'd rather die than take an L on anything. They wiil twist bad character design and art as "well it's supposed to be ugly! That's her style!" and say it was always supposed to be badly written and even nonsensical and that's the appeal. I'd find it commendable if it wasn't so removed from reality. Like is it a win if it's "supposed" to be bad??

5. I legit just saw a LO stan claim HADES (the video game) stole from LO because their Ares also has a streak of color across his face and red eyes like LO Ares does .... that game was in development for well over a year before LO was even on Canvas. Do they think Encanto stole from LO too because Isabela can create flowers or The Simpsons stole LO Hera's coloring?

6. Ok so I'm a huge Wonder woman fan, and after reading her latest origin comic that goes into the creation of her Homeland, they show the goddesses being tired of men and my goodness! The designs for the goddesses are all so diverse and beautiful and different! Like a baffoon I looked over lore Olympus designs and I felt so robbed! Again we are talking about the book Blossom by the amazing @xmichaelmyers or Kate Winborne. If you have not read it yet this will contain some spoilers!

Legit I adore his intro. Looove how he is introduced and just the description of him, the details focusing on his hair esp, just yes, it paints such a clear picture that really sticks with me the rest of the book. This is a mid to late fortys man who through years of working with the bureau has just let his personal and self care fall by the wayside and is just aged, older. Like a fine wine. If it has been left in your car for a few weeks rolling around on the floor behind the driver's seat. 

The next really stand out scene is when he is in the town and examines the bodies of the already murdered victims. Just how he goes about it, so focused and through, the way Kate writes about it too, like a bird, a crow, picking over them, ugh, fantastic imagery. How unaffected and just normal he is, how those observing him say that this job makes sense for him and the almost easy way he tells them “I need fresh evidence. I need a fresh body, boys.” I can hear it. I love a man who is good at his job and apparently Henry is damn good at his. I keep thinking about him with his sleeves rolled up and clotted blood on his gloved hands, looking like a whore. But a PROFESSIONAL whore, you know?

The whole dinner scene where he meets Blossom for the first time. Yes, yes, yes! So fucking good, the tension, the back and forth and of course after she leaves him how he forgoes satisfying the need for food to go satiate another need instead. Him masturbating to Blossom and how like angry he is over it? Hot, way too hot. To see him that state of half dressed and furiously fisting his own cock, sweat on his brow and lips parted and panting, I want to knock his hand out of the way and take over. The scene in the diner when he watches Blossom eat. Any sex scene with him. All of the sex scenes with him. The roughness, the brutal way he can do it, the things he thinks of and imagines and the visceral nature of it like fucking GOD! I could go on way, way too long about these scenes like it is so clear. SO fucking clear what he doing and how he fucks and I am NOT okay over it! Like I need to cut this off before I go on for several paragraphs about what I think this man’s dick and stroke game is like. Besides I will cover that in the request I got for that smut one-shot soon enough. Bless Kate for the meal with what she wrote so far of him in Blossom tho cuz damnnn she gives me ideas. 

Okay but my fave scene with Henry and just in the book in general is the extended dream sequence. Him literally consuming Blossom and how it goes on and on and just FUCK! I cannot with it, I will scream into the void for eternity over it! The thoughts it gives me, how deeply it affected me, I felt scooped out in the best way after reading it and that scene really sealed just how down bad I am for this awful fucking man. I love it. I love him. I love Kate too for blessing us with this book.

Finally found someone who think me2 is the worst of the 3 omg 😭😭 Legit felt so alone in this because me3 is also my fav and those 2 combined are such an unpopular opinion

Here's the thing, I don't think ME2 is necessarily a bad game - there's parts of it I really, really love. I love some of the DLCs (Shadow Broker, which I'm especially looking forward to this time around since I'm doing a Shiara run; Arrival; Kasumi's DLC), and I enjoy both the suicide mission (and the music for it, holy hell) and the opening where Shep gets spaced.

However, the pace of it feels so off to me compared to the other games; it feels like a 30+hr long team building course that you're sent on by the boss vs the stakes of ME1 and ME3. But obviously, because all of these companions have appearances in ME3 ranging from the Super Important (Tali, Legion, Miranda, Garrus) to the downright inconsequential (Zaeed, Kasumi, Jacob), you can't exactly skip over ME2. That combined with it being weirdly difficult compared to the other games even on Normal, is making it feel like a slog to get through.

If it makes you feel any better anon, I'm also leaning towards ME3 being my favourite of the trilogy as well. The Leviathan and Omega DLCs are two of my favourites and Javik is my favourite companion across the trilogy (I'm really looking forward to running Javik/Liara for the entire game, bc Renegade Shep & Javik is one of my favourite dynamics and I have a soft spot for T'Sovik as well. Plus y'know. Shiara run. It's gonna be glorious) and I feel like, ending controversy aside, it really ties up the trilogy in a really satisfying way for me.

Ah… Jaehyun is really an oddball. Vampire house was so hilarious that I spent nearly an hour trying to finish it cos I kept on replaying. It is all but speculations on my part. It's hard to be sure. So just let's agree that we are theorizing here, and I can end up wrong with my hopes for a duet or an MC gig.

I suspect that there is a plan of slowly bringing JaeDo back because the changes feel gradual, you know? Jae and Do are allowed to play in the same team and stand together on group photos, then they get edited less, then neos start to say shipper jokes, then Mnet changes Taedo to Jaedo thumbnails. It also feels like neos are more active about pushing the two towards each other, like Jungwoo passing the camera to Doyoung to make him say something to Jaehyun.

At the same time, JaeDo are not really in the front. We pay close attention to their interactions, but if you look at everyone, there is YuMark, YuWoo, DoWoo, DoHyuk, JaeYong, JaeIl, etc. If before the absence of JaeDo was obvious, the editors and the boys tried too hard, then now it's "normal". The way I and many shippers who wrote me with "Why are they hiding so much?" question expected it to be. Everyone is cozy, why can't JaeDo be?
