Being an Ex FootClan Member and Joining the turtles

~ Your family was in the Homato Clan before Oruku Saki took over and changed it to the Foot Clan. After the death of your parents during an unknown mission around the time of the change Oruku takes you in rewarding you for your parents loyalty. He won't tell you what happened just that they are gone and he will take care of you now.

~ You grow up with his daughter Karai. Everyone knows you are not Oruku's child but Shredder is very protective of you and you and Karai are shown blatant favoritism. Being the Head Foot Clans kid comes with some perks. However, no one says anything to you, Karai, or Oruku about it as you and Karai are exceptionally gifted and you are their masters family. To speak against Shredder or his children (blood or not) is to court death.

~ You're a little older than Karai, just by a few years. Your parents died when you were very young sometime around the Homato vs. Foot Clan battle but you have some very early core memories of them. You also faintly remember Teng Shen Karais mom. She used to babysit you as she was close with your parents and Yoshi. You don't talk about this with Oruku but sometimes you can hear her distant laughter mixed with your parents or her soft singing voice lulling you to sleep. You know talking about the past upsets him so you and Karai are careful to not bring anything up. Though your father will have his moments where he'll smile and he'll remember as well, even if he doesn't speak of it.

~ Shredder is not a sentimental man and does not often speak of the past unless it's to talk about revenge but he does tell you stories about your parents and occasionally he'll reminese about Teng Shen if Karai is there too. The three of you have a very close bond and Shredder promises the clan will belong to the two of you when he passes. He has raised the both of you to be his perfect heirs and places high expectations on you both.

~ As you grow older though you are unsure if being Shredders heir is what you want. The older you get and the more of the Clan you see the more you become conflicted. Shredder raised you, he's your father. Even if your not related by blood he took you in and took care of you but the clan... he always says how honorable your parents were but the Foot Clan is not honorable. You continue to fight and work for your family but the older you get the more you want to leave... the more you feel you dishonor your parents and their legacy by staying.

~ Than you move away from Japan the only home you've ever known and go to New York. He believes the Homato Clan still exsists and he will wipe them out. For Teng Shen... for your deceased parents. You decide you will bear the title of Foot Clan a little longer if it means revenge, if it means peace before you dissapear.

~ When you meet the turtles Leonardo regonizes something about you but he doesn't know what. You have never met him before this day but as you fight something about his eyes, about his fighting technique reminds you of someone you know. Something about your face reminds him of something too. You beat him but do not kill him and decide to leave and say they escaped.

~ When Leo comes home after the altercation with you he realizes his father Homato Yoshi has a picture of your mom and dad and a tiny you. You are (Y/N) (L/N) of the (L/N) family and you closely resemble your parents. Than the awful truth hits him. Your parents are dead because of the Shredder, the man who raised you, the man who raised Karai. He's been lying too the both of you. Your parents died defending The Homoato Clan honor and Teng Shen died protecting Yoshi and her daughter. Now Shredder has both of you under the impression that he is your savior and Homato is your enemy, when it's very much the opposite.

~ Leo keeps this a secret as long as he can but its hard. His hesitance to hurt you and Karai is obvious and when his brothers find out their also hesitant to fight you. You want them to hurt you, you want to hurt them. You want to justify your anger and have Shredder be right. You want them to be your enemy But in your heart you know somethings wrong, that someone is lying. Leo and his brothers keep offering you the truth, keep telling you somethings wrong. You ignore them, ignore your feelings. But the longer the game goes on the longer you feel your right and the more you suspect your father is not telling the truth.

~ It breaks you when you sneak away one night and find the turtles. It completley destroys you when your told. Everything is a lie. Everything. You had finally cornered Leonardo, determined to kill him and take his head to your father but then he begs to explain himself and you can't bring yourself to hurt him when he drops his weapons and refuses to fight. As he speaks more and more becomes clear and you know it's the truth. When he's done your in tears and shaking. You deny Leo's claims screaming he's a lair but the more you think of it... The more it all makes sense. You drop your weapons in front of the turtles and realize the dishonor you've brought to your parents and your family name. You beg forgiveness. You beg to see Homato Yoshi and learn the truth.

~ The next thing you know your in the turtle tank and Leonardo is driving as fast as he can trying to avoid TigerClaw, Xever, and Rahzor as they'd come after you on your father's orders. As they do their best to break into the tank your left in shock and unable to help. Donnie is navigating and Raphael is manning the weapons hurting your old friends. You realize as TigerClaw is blasted off the roof and hits Rahzor and Xever that your doing this. You're betraying Oruku Saki. If your wrong you just cut any ties to your adopted father and Karai...

~ As the tank heads underground you can barley breathe. Your shaking and more tears begin to drip down your face as you stare at your shaking hands. This was it. This was the truth. As your lead into the lair and taken to Splinter you try to regain somw composure but you can't. Your entire life is a thinly veiled lie that you were never brave enough to question.

~ The second you see Homato Yoshi it's like a million memories come flooding back. The smell of that tea he prepared for your family when he visited. The countless dad jokes he told and the fun toys he got you. The stories he shared that made you have good dreams. Your old baby clothes your mom gave to Teng Shen for Miwa. Your father and him playfully sparring while you copied off to the side failing miserably but having fun. As you run across the dojo to him you feel like a little kid running through the fields behind your house where he'd play tag with you and your family.

~ As you wrap your arms around him and hide in his kimono you wish you were a kid again, you wished you could take back so many mistakes Oruku had made you do. Rat or not you knew Shredder was the real monster and Homato Yoshi and his sons were heroes.

~ Yoshi is more than happy to let you stay in the lair with him and his sons. He knows this adjustment has been hard but the truth always is. He tries to be as gentle and accepting as he can but him and Shredder defiently have different parenting styles. Every time you flinch or wait to be hit his heart breaks. He pulls you close to his chest and murmers apologies as his hands gently tussle your hair. You also have endleds nightmares he notices one night as your up far longer than his sons. Yoshi often stays up late with you when you can't sleep, boiling and drinking tea as he talks with you. Answering all the questions you have and telling you stories about your family.

~ Leo is the first to truly accept you. He's hoping through you Karai will finally be convinced to come home. The second he found out who you were and the minute Splinter told him the truth he knew in his heart you were meant to be with them. It's a slow process but he acts as a buffer between you and the brothers trying to find things you all enjoy and ways you can connect.

~ Raph is suspicious but after awhile it hits him just how abusive Shredder was. The emotional and physical abuse from trainings over the years has made you think in a way no one should, like your a failure when your not. Like you deserve to be hit and hurt. Shredder had a very caring and gentle side but his anger also lead him to make mistakes that were almost fatal on your part. He knows what it like to be angry and hate yourself all the time so he reaches out to train with you and let's you talk to Spike if you need too. He can also listen if you want...

~ Donatello has a lot of questions. The inner workings of your clan and its system fascinate him. He also wants to know about cultural differences you have and how you were taught growing up vs. how him and his brothers were. He's surprised to learn how smart you are as hes used to being the only genuis and when your ready he enjoys when you help out in his lab. You both do experiments and he finds it nice to have someone who can double check his work. He knows about the abuse so whenever you make a mistake he's quick to say its okay and that your okay. Thankfully his studies on psychology have been very helpful as he tries to help you heal.

~ Mikey is mostly curious about your old life. He asks a lot of questions. For all the things he doesn't understand he just tries to support you. He knows the lair can be cramped and annoying sometimes so he shares all his comic books and toys as a form of escape. However, when he learns your secretly an artist in your free time he's so happy!!! He ends up sharing all his supplies with you and enjoys spray painting deep in the sewers. You both have fun and he thinks it's helping you a lot because you seem happier.

~ You're used to a specifically catered diet to keep you in shape so it's a bit weird to have pizza and fastfood all the time. Thankfully as your human your able to find money in the sewers and can go to different low end stores without a disguise to get cheaper but more healthy food. You look up recipes on Donnies computer and begin cooking so there are more choices to eat. The boys adore it and are happy to help you in the kitchen if you need a hand. Splinter is glad he no longer has to cook, he's better with tea.

~ Pretty soon your apart of the family. April and Casey are more than a bit suspicious of you but the brothers put that down pretty quickly. You guys train, clean, and eat together. Weeks have gone by and you havent tried to leave or contact anyone from the FootClan. You only worry about Karai and the lies Shredder fills her head with. He fooled you for so many years you can only imagine what he's telling her now that your not there to protect her. Your onky regret is her not being there with you that night...

~ Meanwhile Shredder is furious that your gone. Hes angry at the turtles, at your betrayal, but more than anything hes angry at himself. (Something he'll never admit to anyone) He forces all the anger he's feeling towards you and focuses it on Yoshi. He believes this is all Yoshi's fault, it has to be. Patrols are doubled and Foot bots are sent deep into the sewers. He refuses to loose you.

~ Karai is unsure if what to feel. You're her sibling, her everything. And yet you left her or you were taken. She's not sure what happened that night and its all really confusing to her. She knows you stood outside her door wanting to ask her something the night you went missing but she was too tired and insisted on having the conversation in the morning. Morning came and you were gone. Xever, Bradford, TigerClaw they were useless! They said you were taken or maybe you went willingly but she didn't believe it. There was no way the wimpy turtles could overpower you. Regardless... she just wanted you home.

~ Shredder gets more relentless. He's blood thirsty and desperate to have his child back causing problems to lure out the turtles. He believes Yoshi is keeping you away as punishment for him taking Karai and he will do anything to have you back. The turtles notice that the Footbots are getting more and more agressive and Xever ans BradFord seem scared as TigerClaw becomes ruthless.

~ You are unaware of this as you haven't been on patrol in months. Despite no longer being apart of the Foot Clan and being under the turtles protection you don't patrol as you once did. You continue to train and learn the Homato way as you unlearn the Oruku one but you don't often travel to the surface. Maybe in fear. Maybe to stay comfortable. Your not sure but you dont leave the lair unless your getting food or meeting April or Casey.

~ One night when the turtles come home beaten and hurt you realize you need to face Shredder before he takes away another family. You're terrified of what may happen but you push that away. Shredder must be stopped and Karai needed to know the truth.

April and Karai fighting Over You 🌸

~ Karai has always been more or less unpredictable. She was never truly evil like her adoptive father Oruku Saki but being raised by him and the Foot Clan defiently made her have questionable methods. She wasn't afraid to get her hands dirty but she also knew when she took things too far... sometimes.

~ Meanwhile April is a sunshine child who tries to find the good in a crazy situation. She was raised by an anxious man doing his best as a single father. On the surface they look like complete opposites but in reality they're closer than people realize and that's where their interest of you comes in.

~ It takes both of them awhile to relaize they like you. April's more aware of her emotions than Karai but her fears subconciously held her back from acting on her crush. She wanted to stay your friend. She didn't what things to get weird and she'd messed up the group dynamic before with Casey and Donnie, she was worried to do that again with you.

~ With Karai she's hesitant. Once she realizes she likes you she's not sure if pursuing something more than a friendship is what's right. Karai's used to taking what she wants but what if what she wants ends up hurting the both of you? It's the first time in her life she really doenst know what to do.

~ You all started off as friends. Well you started off as Aprils friend and sadly Karai's enemy. Before Karai learned the truth about what Shredder had done to her she was tasked with hunting April down and you happened to be with her that day. Looking back that was probabaly what started both of their crushes.

~ For Karai it was your warriors spirit and sass. Even as she beat you, you didn't give up and refused to let Karai hurt April. You continued to fight with your limited knowledge and Karai had to admit you weren't half bad, much better than April who could barely take a punch. Karai had grown up in a clan where showing weakness meant death or punishment, where taking a beating was a sign of strength and endurance. And here you were putting your life on the line. It was honorable and pretty impressive. I mean Karai was kicking your ass but you continued to fight back and you got more than a few strikes against the much more experienced kunochi.

~April saw you not only put your life on the line for her but reassure her you had her back as you both tried to fight Karai. Together you were able to fend her off and thanks to Master Splinter training and luck you were able to temporarily defeat Karai.

~ Casey and Donnie notice Aprils change in behavior immeidtaley. As people who've had crushes on her and have been close to the red head it's easy for them too see she likes you.

~ Leonardo notices Karai's change of attitude. Karai was confident in most things she did and had a cocky attitude about everything but he noticed around you she seemed more hesitant. More withdrawn and distant despite your willingness to be close. She was shy in a way. It doesn't take him long to figure out why.

~ When Master Splinter shared what happened to Karai and who she actually was you were the first to forgive her. You tried to make her feel included in the group and loved to hear about her interests and passions and how different the Foot Clan was from the Homato Clan. Its through you the others began to let their guards down and she became apart of the family.

~ The girls have never been on the best of terms so this makes things much more complicated. They love you but there's only one of you.

~ April's language of love is affirmation and giving compliments. Shes an empath and therefore she uses her words to show how much she cares. April will compliment you on your outfit or how you look. She also asks about your day and listens when you need someone. If she sees you had a hard day she'll try and cheer you up or pull you aside and ask whats wrong. She's also huge on dates so she always remembers your birthday and anything important to you.

~ Karai's languae of love is small acts of kindness or thankless gifts. She didn't grow up in a touch orientated family. Shredder was not a hugger and he didn't express his emotions verbally. The only time they really touched or bonded was when they were sparring or he was teaching her a new tecnique/move. Shredder always bought Karai things to show he loved her so this became her go too growing up. If she notices something is bothering you she'll fix it and not talk about it or give you something to help. Often these gifts are sweet and thoughtful but she can't bring herself to tell you why she got them or that their from her.

~ April and Karai begin acting weird. There's a lot of playful comments back and forth that become more sinister as the conversation goes on. Loose threats and angry looks. Being distant or oddly touchy as they both work up the courage to ask you out its confusing and leaves you feeling out of the loop. It's a hard path going forward with many twists and turns and inner conflicts and fights between the girls that often leave you feeling isolated or confused but their coming to terms with their feelings and how they think of you. Now they just need to act on these feelings and hope you feel the same.

~ Its gonna be a long development. Their friendship is already rocky and they are working on forgiving eachother but now that they know they both like you it's gotten more complicated. As they gain the courage to tell you the truth its a race for who can confess first and if you'll even like them back.
