Lerong - The Jingle Pokémon

Sonic Type

ATTENTION: This Pokémon has the Sonic Type. A new typing discovered in the Intoh region. The typing is given to Pokémon that either move super fast or use sound-based attacks.

This Pokémon is very popular all around the Intoh region, especially as a pet. Lerong is friendly and always curious when it meets new people. The fur on its tail and throat have bell-like properties. When Lerong shakes its body, the bells produce a soothing sound. This sound can calm even the angriest of human and Pokémon. Lerong often lays down on people's laps with its tail sticking out, ringing it to bring pure comfort to whoever it's laying on. An old folktale says that its purr sounds like an angel.

These are the premade PCs for Ballad of the Princes Three, an Ibong Adarna ttrpg. In Ballad, you each play as one of the brothers + Maria, acting out different versions of the Ibong Adarna story.

Parallel to this, Saints (higher-existence beings with meta influence) spectate and comment on the royals' performances. They are:

Plata Panata, the Saint of Devotion. A bloodied automaton of pure silver.

Nining Matsing, the Saint of Wit. A crafty monkey always in a rivalry with her friend Turtle.

Lerong Sinta, the Saint of Fortune. Her luck alternates between good and bad. Likes papayas and hates falling down.

Prinsesa Blanca, the Saint at the Gates. Gatekeeps the universe's secrets. Doña Maria is her self-insert.

In case y'all were wondering, Doña Maria is a character that shows up in the second part of Ibong Adarna - schools usually only cover the first part. For her design, I was inspired by Utena + gave her snail motifs as a reference to being cursed to crawl like a snail in the Ibong Adarna story.

Four saints a-watching.

Saints are higher-existence beings spectating on the story - in this case, Ibong Adarna. From left to right, they are:

Plata Panata, the Saint of Devotion. A battered automaton, bloodied from performing various penitences. Local edgelord.

Prinsesa Blanca, the Saint at the Gates. Guards the secrets of the universe. Maria is literally her self-insert.

Nining Matsing, the Saint of Wit. Likes to win even if it means cheating. Always gets foiled by her companion Manong Pagong.

Lerong Sinta, the Saint of Fortune. Not even she can control her own luck. She likes papayas and hates falling down.

They're essentially the Swellbloom Kids equivalent of Umineko witches. Except hopefully less unhinged. While you can make your own saint to play in my Ibong Adarna module, I thought it'd be prudent to have some premade ones. Plus, it's an excuse to come up with more NPCs. Lerong Sinta I've been meaning to incorporate into the story for a while.

Our first stop is Camahual Island where we camp. Many cultures coexist in Camahual, including Blaan, Indonesian, Marure, and others. The inhabitants of Camahual cherish their cultural history. A Must-Visit Spot in Sarangani Island and discover Saranggani Island's iconic attractions,including scenic viewpoints. In Camahual there is what they called “Punta”. The term "Punta" refers to the top-end portion of the island and is translated from the Indonesian dialect, As it's the cleanest area on the island, my family and I go swimming there as well as people living in Camahual come there to search for signals. If you want to feel at home, Camahual Island is a must visit place in Saraggani due to the beach and locals.

2. Bubu Beach

Our next stop is Bubu Beach, which is about a 30-minute travel from Camahual Island. We typically get there after resting at Camahual. These beaches offer the ideal backdrop for your tropical getaway, whether you're looking for enthusiastic excitement or quiet seclusion. You could enjoy swimming at Bubu Beach for just 50 pesos. You can have a great time at the Bubu beach, whether you prefer to unwind in the sun, enjoy the warmth of the sun or you can swim and play in the waves and make sandcastles with your family. This beach is another must-see location in Saranggani because it may be a tranquil spot for your body and mind.

3. Patuco Island

Next on the list is Patuco Island, which serves as a central spot for delivering goods and dropping off passengers because many people live there, and it's rich in cultural history. The final destination on our list is "Sapi Grande Resort," which belonged to my late great-great-grandfather and holds a special place in our family's history. Even though our family owns the resort, we gladly welcome friends and visitors because it's not merely a place to visit; it's our home. It's a breathtaking view where one can unwind and connect with nature. As you gaze upon the sea and the long shoreline, you can't help but be amaze at the beauty of God's creation. The Party Returns to The Harbor of Hope

After the events of King's Run the party relaxes on the ride back to the town they got their mission from originally, all taking the time to rest and, in a turn that surprises nobody, almost all get stoned out of their gourd thanks to Otto. Some wanted it to calm down after the events, some wanted to just enjoy it, in the case of Mr. Explosivo Hawk he wanted to ease the soreness that came from blowing himself up just a few hours ago. Unfortunately for him, the extra strong stuff Otto gave him mixed with a pathetic Constitution save caused Hawk to have the absolute worst trip out of anybody in the party.

While everyone in the cart was blasted out of the entire planet, Oliver stayed up at the front of the cart as the designated driver and managed to ignore all of the shenanigans in the backseat to get the party back to town by the mid afternoon. Which, considering the amount of time it took to arrive there in the first place, somehow a lot of time was cut out. Although, there was one small stop that our merfolk driver took, and it was a rather sudden and impromptu stop. Upon seeing a bag on the side of the road, Oliver hopped off and grabbed the bag and ruffled through it and eventually found it's sole content: A red rock. Of course Oliver took it, it was a free bag and a cool rock, and he stuffed it into his own bag, and as far as the rest of the party was aware of! Then again, they weren't entirely aware of a lot considering their situation, but Oliver was well aware and aware of a lot more.

It's explained how Oliver suddenly heard a voice in his head, a surprisingly friendly one at that. Not the 'trying to get your favor' type of friendly either, there was legitimate emotion in their voice, which for a voice in the head is sort of difficult to manage. The voice explains that his name is Lerong and was once a member of a guild known as the Coalition of Creation and, after a little bit of a disagreement with a friend at the time, was essentially cursed and had his soul put into the stone. As it turns out, Lerong was a very unfortunate fellow, as he was put into the stone in a town known as the City of Hope, which is not the Harbor of Hope, but rather a city far to the north in a region now known as The Scorch. A wasteland for decades after a massive arcane explosion wiped the entire landscape, making it only suitable for necromancers and creatures able to withstand the most extreme of environments. Despite known that the person who cursed him was most likely long dead, Lerong decided to stick with Oliver and hopefully find someone else to help him out.

After making his new friend, Oliver hopped back onto the cart and began the trip back to the Harbor of Hope once again, the party arriving and returning to the Cracked Tankard tavern and reporting their job being completed to the bartender/job handler. After explaining the whole situation, mixed with everything including the wolf heads and the entire encounter in King's Run, it came out to around 250G for each member of the party, which came out to a lot more than what was originally planned but of course nobody would mention it. Along with this the party also got free food, drink, and board for the evening, of which not many actually took part of the food or drink. (Hawk especially as he was barely just coming down from one of the worst trips of his life.) Before being sent off, the party was told two major bits of information. First: Despite being in King's Run was only about two days in total, they were apparently missing for over two weeks, implying even more of the strange time distortion that the party assumed was already going on. Secondly: Due to the strangeness of the situation, they were going to be met with high ranking officials from an organization known as the White Ravens, an impromptu peacekeeping group.

Deciding to indirectly go about their own business until the next day, the group split and spent the evening doing any list of thing. Otto was enjoying his evening on the patio of the Cracked Tankard tavern and just smoke and rest. Oliver and Emre went about the town and began doing some simple shopping, nothing of major note but stopping back at a small bakery they promised to return to from before they went off to King's Run. There they got some unique breads, including one that was literally described by the DM as a 'mediaeval flatbread pizza'. On the opposite side of the coin from wholesome shopping, Hawk was actually hired by Aakran for a job of sorts. Despite being a more assassination themed Rogue than a thief, Aakran hired Hawk to steal for him a set of plate armor, something he was able to use but absolutely did not have the money for. Seeing it as an easy job Hawk went with it and, that night, found a small blacksmith on the edge of the shopping district and began his plan. It was a difficult job, starting with having to stealthily crack the lock to- oh, actually, no, he didn't need to do that, as the shopkeeper forgot to lock from the day before closing. But it wouldn't be that easy either, as Hawk now had to search and find where such an important and expensive set of armor would be hidden during the night- wait, no, nevermind. It's literally still sitting by the extinguished forge. Realizing that this shopkeeper might have been an idiot, Hawk simply took the suit of armor and just left. Not even seen by anybody on his way out.

Easiest 330G Hawk has ever made.

Taking the armor to his room for the night, Aakran used the smithing tools he stole from King's Run in order to fit it so it may fit his extremely slender frame better. That and make it look different enough from the armor that was stolen the night before, as he intended to start wearing it as soon as possible.

After that the night was essentially over, everyone going to their respective rooms and passing out in preparation for the meeting they were apparently going to have in the morning. It was a night without any strange dreams, threats to their lives, or any form of discomfort. The party deserved this little breather.

Come the morning, Otto was the first to wake up, going to the main area of the tavern and meeting with the member of the White Ravens that they were told about. A rather pompous looking man of rather indistinguishable race in elegant attire, dotted many times over with a sigil of a rose made of bones. The man introduced himself as Darmon Armunde (Do not laugh at the name!) and his position as a regional inquisitor and requested for the rest of the party to join them all in order to get the entire story of what happened.

Over time, and with a lot of arguments, almost all of the party had made their way to the main area with the exception of Oliver and Emre who wanted to sleep in. Now that everyone was there, they began giving the recap of what had happened in the town, including the wizard's tower, the wizard's experiments themselves, a little fibbing about the amulet situation so the survivors can keep the part they had for sentimental reasons, and a more heroic explanation - from Hawk - about how they almost exploded because of him. As well as the reasoning why he was wearing some rather luxurious robes in such a serious situation. He stole them, he is going to wear them!

Before leaving, Darmon asked a rather strange question after going over the events with the wolves and the wizard in the woods. He asked if any of us had any strange dreams as of late, to which of course Hawk raised his hand, and in a surprising turn Aakran did as well. The two explained their dreams and they were almost identical, being in pitch black landscapes and being met with sets of glowing eyes, each only ending with one set staring the person. For Hawk it was the blue set and for Aakran it was the green. This lines up with the sudden placement of strange sigils on both of the party member's bodies. Here we learn that these dreams were from something called the Curse of the Sisters, and when translated the sigils read: "Marked for Prey". Any extra details were left out, but for more information Darmon instructed the party to meet in this region's capital city of Zion, where they could also gain more rewards for the work that they did in freeing King's Run.

Before leaving, Otto informed about a situation in King's Run that was omitted from the previous entry, that being both Otto and Aakran sensing the presence of some almost celestial energy over the city of King's Run. Being told this, Darmon looks curious before turning his attention to Aakran as a sickeningly dark grin coming on his face. After a second of staring Aakran lets out a groan in pain as he grabs his head, leading to almost everybody grabbing their weapons as it was obvious that Darmon was doing something in Aakran's mind. Seeing the response from the party Darmon instantly raised his hands in a general manner to calm the party, taking a step back with a laugh, trying to act some damage control as he began exiting, only to let one thing slip.

Aakran was not Human. He was of Celestial descent. Aakran is an Aasimar.

Leowzing - The Comfy Pokémon

Sonic/Psychic Type

ATTENTION: This Pokémon has the Sonic Type. A new typing discovered in the Intoh region. The typing is given to Pokémon that either move super fast or use sound-based attacks.

The evolved form of Lerong. This Pokémon is known for bringing maximum coziness to people and Pokémon alike. Its fur is super soft, especially the one on its back. It sometimes lets others rest on its back and soothes them with the sounds coming from its tail. The fur on its tail is formed like bells and their jingling can calm even the angriest of minds. They say Leowzing can enter your mind and let all the badness and anger fade away. The symbol on its forehead glows during nights of a full moon.

Ibong Adarna ttrpg is coming soon. And I mean real soon. Just adding some finishing touches + getting off my ass to do illustrations.

Just like WTCW, it'll have saints - Swellbloom Kids' equivalent of Umineko witches. Plata Panata is an OC I came up with, riffing off the rhyming in the expression "Oro, plata, mata" (gold, silver, death). Panata means "vow", so fitting for a Saint of Devotion.

Nining Matsing in the monkey in Rizal's Monkey and Turtle story, while Lerong Sinta is from the song "Leron, Leron Sinta".

It's fun to come up with saints. The pun potential is endless.

Masjid Islamic Center Samarinda Mesjid yang terletak di kelurahan Teluk Lerong Ulu, Kota Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia, yang merupakan masjid termegah dan terbesar kedua di Asia Tenggara setelah Masjid Istiqlal. Dengan latar depan berupa tepian sungai Mahakam, masjid ini memiliki menara dan kubah besar yang berdiri tegak. Masjid ini memiliki luas bangunan utama 43.500 meter persegi. Untuk luas bangunan penunjang adalah 7.115 meter persegi dan luas lantai basement 10.235 meter persegi. Sementara lantai dasar masjid seluas 10.270 meter persegi dan lantai utama seluas 8.185 meter persegi. Sedangkan luas lantai mezanin (balkon) adalah 5.290 meter persegi. Lokasi ini sebelumnya merupakan lahan bekas areal penggergajian kayu milik PT Inhutani I yang kemudian dihibahkan kepada Pemerintah Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Bangunan masjid ini memiliki sebanyak 7 menara di mana menara utama setinggi 99 meter yang bermakna asmaul husna atau nama-nama Allah yang jumlahnya 99. Menara utama itu terdiri atas bangunan 15 lantai masing-masing lantai setinggi rata-rata 6 meter. Sementara itu, anak tangga dari lantai dasar menuju lantai utama masjid jumlahnya sebanyak 33 anak tangga. Jumlah ini sengaja disamakan dengan sepertiga jumlah biji tasbih. Selain menara utama, bangunan ini juga memiliki 6 menara di bagian sisi masjid. Masing-masing 4 di setiap sudut masjid setinggi 70 meter dan 2 menara di bagian pintu gerbang setinggi 57 meter. Enam menara ini juga bermakna sebagai 6 rukun. ✅ Deuxième étape : UBud et le Mont Batur !

Nous quittons l’île de Lembogan et nous nous rendons à UBud, au centre de l’île de Bali. Il s’agit d’un lieu extrêmement touristique mais qui reste, malgré tout, empli de charme où la jungle et la nature semblent avoir conservé leurs droits. Nous avons posé nos affaires à notre petit hôtel, Narwik hôtel karma, entouré de rizières au sud de la ville avant d’aller nous restaurer dans un super petit restaurant à côté (et j’ai craqué pour une glace à la noix de coco sur le chemin). Nous avons ensuite arpenté les rues, palais et temples du centre en finissant évidemment dans le marché d’Ubud, véritable gouffre financier pour n’importe laquelle d’entre nous puisque nous avions envie de tout acheter ! Heureusement que les 7kgs obligatoires de nos sacs nous retiennent finalement...

Le temps était beaucoup plus gris et humide et nous avons eu droit à une douche mémorable avant de nous engouffrer dans un café pour nous sécher. Nous avons, au passage, rencontrer deux canadiens fort sympathiques !

Une fois nos vêtements à peu près secs, nous sommes allées dîner toutes les trois dans un super petit restaurant, Bernadette, une spécialité locale, le Rendang ! Il s’agit d’un plat à base de bœuf cuisiné pendant plusieurs heures dans une sauce un peu épicé accompagné évidemment de riz (normal).

Aujourd’hui, grosse journée ! Après un super petit dej et une découverte culinaire, le pancake vert pétard, nous avons déplacé nos affaires jusqu’à notre nouvel hôtel pour y attendre MC, qui est arrivée de Singapour vers 11h. Notre guide et chauffeur, Made, nous a rejoint avec un maillot de l’équipe de France pour une petite séance de yoga matinale avant de partir explorer les environs ! Nous avons commencer par visiter un centre de production et de dégustation de café de Lowak. Puis, nous sommes allées voir les belles rizières (très pentues) de Telelang, puis Elephant’s Temple. Nous avons fait une halte vers 15h dans un petit restaurant où j’ai pu goûté un excellent Kare Ayam (poulet au curry avec du riz). Nous avons terminé notre journée de visite par la Monkey Forest, un lieu infesté de singes (super marrant cela dit) !! Nous avons continué notre journée toute les quatre en allant voir un spectacle de danse traditionnelle balinaise, le Lerong, au Palais Royal. Bon c’était beau, gracieux mais une heure et demi ça suffisait finalement. Nous avons fini notre journée en dînant dans un petit resto Sambal Matha et nous sommes rentrés en vitesse boucler nos affaires pour le lendemain et nous mettre au lit pour faire une sieste avant de partir pour un trek sur le Mount Bathur.

Allez ! Le réveil sonne à 1h40 du matin, c’est dur mais on y va ! Nous entamons la montée du Mont Batur vers 4h du matin et arrivons en haut vers 6h pile poil pour admirer le lever de soleil sur lac et les autres volcans. C’est absolument sublime ! Une fois redescendues, nous avons pris une voiture direction Padangbai, puis un bateau pour nous amener sur notre petite île paradisiaque de GIli Air, au large de Lombok.
