Wow, so uh....that new lesson huh?

I have.... thoughts.

Michael is getting a little too...all knowing and omnipresent 👀 I feel like.

Each time, he's spoken to MC without showing himself, and saved them while stuck in the past....but this time he's not...sending them back to their proper time?

Just helping them move?

It's rather strange.

The first time was when Solomon made food and they ate it. They woke up in the past when the boys were angels and we assume it's Michael, speaks to MC in a shinning light, like what happened in 13.

He sends MC back to their time, and tells them the conversations they've had with the boys will stick with them.

But this time...idk seemed different. Maybe it's because of how fresh the war is? But he seemed a lot...more standoffish?

and rather than just, yeeting MC through time and space again--he's just breaking whatever curse is on them so they can move.

Yet he's fully aware of how displaced they are, and that Nightbringer put them there and goes as far as to warn them.

It seems even Barbatos, up until the question of "where did you come from", doesn't realize you're from the future. And his whole ish is time and AUs.

If you choose the future option he cuts you off and makes the assumption your being an ass by referring to the human world as the future as humans see themselves above demons and comments on how it's a typical human answer: arrogant and rude.

I know angels aren't supposed to interfere too much, more to sit back and watch but it makes me wonder: did Michael send them back last time because they were in the Celestial Realm, and he doesn't care as much or isn't as concerned since they're in the Devildom this time?

Also, in his warning he says

And removes the curse of Snow White/Sleeping Beauty from MC.

Is he just curious how things will turn out? Does he not have the power this time to put MC back?

And why is he referring to the Celestial Realm that way? It almost reminds me of Simeon and his disconnect with the CR, speaking about it as if it's not his own decision that would be the call. We know Michael is basically Father's second in command, he's in charge of the CR basically from what we've seen.

Has that changed? Is Father going to be more present in this time? Or is it like the Devildom in the way of, there's a ring of command in the CR and they can over ride Michael if they all agree? Like how it seems the House of Shitlords tried to oppose Diavolo?

Also-- WTF?! Even if he passes everything he may still not be appointed King?!

Not the point of the post but, wtf?!

But yeah, so it seems Michael isn't Nightbringer, but he's aware of NB and what they've done, but isn't interfering too much.

I've had a theory in my head, partly as a joke, that Michael is a blonde, blue eyed Lucifer to be the day to his night (black hair, red eyes) and no one sees the resemblance

But what if Michael is Father in disguise? A way to connect to his creations on another level? He'd still be Omnipresent, powerful etc just in a different skin with his power hidden to pretend to be someone else.

I have no concrete proof to make this a legitimate theory, just a nagging voice in the back of my mind:

1. Michael is in charge, despite everyone fawning over Lucifer when he was an angel.

2. he's so seemingly "all knowing" and powerful.

3. Father has been missing or absent for a long time according to Simeon in the og Obey me (Boogeyman trial)

4. Everyone is terrified of Father, even if their biggest fear isn't of him. (Again, Boogeyman trial. Simeon's and Lucifer's biggest fear was him, when the boys wanted to go with MC to the CR, Lucifer asks if they really think Father would let them in)

5. He was represented in the Boogeyman trial as a bright, particular light, with no physical form. Simeon says "I haven't seen that light in a very long time" or something along those lines. Anytime we'ved talked to "Michael" it's been the same, aside from peeking at his texts.

At any rate, I loved it, loved how it flowed and already marked the calendar for 10-11 more days (should be around the 23rd-24th) so I can pounce when it's released

There's no way a time demons doesn't considerate the possibility that we came from the future.

He even gaslighted Diavolo, exploiting his power's weakness and making him believe that is just a saying.

He basically like those gem in Steven Universe where they were made specifically for a reason. Pearl are made to be servants to another gem of a higher rank.

Not much of a Spoiler, but yeah. It's basically Mephisto slander and a pinch of Lucifer bullying.

More Lesson 13 spoilers about Diavolo…

I love Diavolo. What an absolute badass.

He just found out:

he’s gotta do a trial that will kill him if he fails

his dad would normally tell him about it but since he’s unavailable, Diavolo has to go in blind

it’s happening this way because the nobility of his kingdom are against his decision to taken in a bunch of fallen angels

And he just holds his head up and says

I’m Diavolo.

Like that’s all that really needs to be said.

And I know he later tells MC that he was faking it but like of course he was? It was still just a really cool moment in my opinion.

And I am really interested to see what happens next! When they first disappeared, I was instantly like “Goddamn it Nightbringer!” Because I thought it was Nightbringer moving people around again. But it seems like maybe this has nothing to do with him? We’ll see!

Either way, there’s going to be some Diavolo and MC shenanigans and I am here for that.

I also really loved when MC went after him at the break and he just laughs about it. Such a classic reaction from him. It’s so cute.

Nightbringer Lesson 13: Some Thoughts (spoilies)

Okay, first of all... what the actual fuck was this??

"My former brothers"?? DOES THAT MEAN AN ANGEL JUST HELPED US??? WAS IT MICHAEL???

????!!!!

Also, "should you choose to ally yourself with Nightbringer..." First of all, Mx Mysterious Angel Person, We didn't ally with anyone. We have gotten absolutely no choice in any of this so far. The Celestial Realm is going to get its panties in a bunch over something we haven't even done 😭

Second, the fact that the Celestial realm wouldn't look kindly on allying with Nightbringer DEFINITELY tells us Nightbringer is 100% demon. I don't think they'd care so much about a human sorcerer (not that I ever suspected Solomon but you see my point). It also tells us Nightbringer is notable enough to draw the attention AND ire of the Celestial realm. Who is this person and why does the Celestial realm dislike them so much? Barbatos what did you do

Third, "tolerate your behavior"???? Bitch we didn't do anything 😭😭😭 It makes it sound like the Celestial realm is already not happy with us but we are a pawn in all of this 😭😭 Shouldn't they know that? Or do they know and just not care??? Are we retroactively responsible? Agreeing to all this somewhere down the road and just not aware of it yet??? What did we doo?

Okay so obviously the convo might have gone different if you picked the other option, but Solomon says "Someone teleported you here, right?" And it makes a point of Barbatos' silence on the issue. Why would it do that unless he knew something??? There's a lot of theories that say Barbatos IS Nightbringer and tbh I'm in that boat too, but even if he isn't I'm willing to bet all my remaining Grimm that he at least knows wtf is going on. Who Nightbringer is and that we're from the future. BET. BARBATOS KNOWS SOMETHING.

In connection with my last thought, as Diavolo is talking about sending us back to the human world he starts getting frustrated and is refusing to listen to arguments. Diavolo is admittedly 100% correct in where he stands. We are a threat to the Devildom and his tenuous reign on things right now. He doesn't know us well enough to confidently say otherwise and he really can't risk it right now.

But before he can actually make a decision and say we have to go back, Barbatos cuts in and suggests stepping away to give Diavolo a chance to calm down and reconsider. Barbatos has made it clear he wants us to stay in the Devildom for some reason and it really feels like he's doing whatever it takes to keep it that way.

He knows something. I swear he does. I'm watching you turquoise demon man. I'm watching you.

Also could someone explain how we actually got the ring? Maybe I missed something near the start or I just haven't progressed far enough in the OG game but it feels like that was an answer we were actually supposed to know and I was like ??? I have Lucifer's Ring Of Light??? Neat???

It isn’t Lucifer’s kiss of true luv that saves us from our eternal slumber, but Michael. And he has a veiled threat for us this time!

But this is interesting because:

This is clearly present Michael because he remembers when he last saved us from the time stream.

We all but know it’s Michael because he admits he’s meddling for the sake of his “former” brothers. It’s not Father.

The Ring of Light activates before his arrival, which is presumably in a dream, which suggests he has some kind of active connection to it.

Bro has been watching us and knows who Nightbringer is.

Though he’s saved us from the curse, he apparently isn’t compelled to return us back to our own time, unlike before.

This confirms that the Nightbringer is aligned with the Devildom and he probably is a demon, although he might not always have been.

It seems like he thinks we might be entertaining the idea of joining Nightbringer’s side which is... interesting. Does siding with the brothers mean siding with him, too?

Michael definitely is not Nightbringer.

Tempted to side with Nightbringer just so we can finally get a face reveal when he descends from the Heavens to murder our ass.

Obey Me!Nightbringer Lesson 13 is out, and a new old characer appears!

Again, Spoiler warning! :) And it's a bit long, thehe

So, it wasn't really Lucifer himself who broke the curse, but ??? (Michael, but I don't get why they won't spell it out, so it's not 100%. And if it's not 100 % accuracy, it's 50 % 🤭)

Interestingly enough, he is aware of Nightbringer's meddling, and Michael is secretly Tuxedo Mask

Okay, jokes aside, but he really did the bare minimum 😑

Although it makes me wonder if Nightbringer is really Barbatos as we are already allied with Diavolo in the future, who he serves. Why would we get the warning now? We need more insight into the Celestial Realm, not just the Devildom.

Next, we get wholesome brainrot with our 7 brothers if we decide to stay in the House of Lamentation.

We wake up in the middle of the night and find the brothers asleep in the hall 🤭

Now imagine MC trying to lift Beel.

And I seems our choices matter, because if we decide to go back with Solomon in 13-3, the dialogue in 13-6 is different.

( Note: The game picks the last option you have chosen. I picked the HoL option in 13-3 first and replayed with going with Solomon right after, so I was confused when in 13-6 I got dialogue with Solomon, wondering why we slept in Cocytus Hall when I chose the brothers first)

In Cocytus Hall, the 2nd option, we get forced to hug Solomon as we don't get an option to decline but rather be passive or active about it. At least Solomon asked. He apologizes for putting us in danger like that, and he has been really worried. Despite us not taking his side, he still considers MC a friend and wants to stay by their side.

Well, he could make our life easier and spill some beans. THAT would help.

Anyway, MC has to answer Diavolos Questions next. And it's wise to not be vague, although don't bother saying you are from the future. Barbatos calls us out for being arrogant, like how dare we say the Devildom is stuck in the past, lol.

Things get a bit heated, so we decided to take a break for now. Then we can follow Diavolo, raising intimacy points. He laughs at us when we tell him we are worried about him 🥲 Barbatos joins them but he is not the only one.

Ah, how... good to see him... Diavolo's childhood friend 😒 hooray.

My totally favourite character comes with a letter from the House of Lords, which results in postponing the issue with MC for now.

The House of Lords rendered Beel's meltdown as a declaration of war, despite it just being a side effect of a demon turned angel. But it's more politics than anything as they aren't happy with former angels in hell like we have seen from other demons. They are considered weapons in both Heaven and Hell

So Diavolo has to undergo a test called Kingsblood Crucible to prove he is fit to be the Demon King. If he refuses, he can't become King or he would die. (No one who failed returned)

The problem is that Diavolos' dad is the only one who could tell what the trial is like. The House of Lord's purposefully put Diavolo at a disadvantage. Well, he acts confident and decides to take the mission.

And takes us with him as a witness, well, not on purpose.

We get more insight into Diavolo's insecurities. But it is nice to see that his innovative personalit runs in the family. I hope we learn more about this God of War.

The lesson ends there, so in Lesson 14, we will help Diavolo with this trial. I assume we will get even more lore, plus we need to get Mephisto to give his adorsement.

Apropos Mephisto 13-A is the funniest shit that I will post separately as I can't upload more screenshots in this post.

Okay one last Lesson 13 spoiler featuring Solomon breaking my heart…

While I loved the cuddle pile mental image of the demons all falling asleep outside MC’s door, I also did the going back to Cocytus Hall option because I’m curious and always choose everything.

And of course it was all tender moments with Solomon until he said this:

Last word is happened.

Listen, when I wrote Solomon Alone, it was all just my own personal thoughts about how it might’ve been. I thought he was the kind of character who was likely to blame himself for what happened even though it wasn’t his fault.

I didn’t think he would straight up say it like that. And his sad little face…!

I was like excuse you, the brothers are over here being adorable and here you are making me want to cry. Get it together!
