oh good points about Isagi, and I was literally lmao-ing about Rin cuz yeah, bro is a biiiiit insane (I am still not over the fact that Sae thinks they are having a lil sibling tiff, my lil bro is just having a rebellious teenage phase, oh nbd; whereas Rin is going insane and losing his mind on live bllktv, but yeah this is not about Rin, but about Isagi)

just a sidenote: before NEL, i actually enjoyed his asshole moments as well as the Team Bluelock moments overall, bc they were mostly in a good humor. but after U20, i am kind of cooled off Isagi and bllk in general, so sorry in advance if I am remembering smth different or incorrect (annnnd I am biased af and I still am of the opinion that the BLLK kids should have played as one team, like in U20, against the foreign teams: i.e. BLLK vs Basmun, BLLK vs Mancity, BLLK vs Ubers and so on. that way, I'd have seen what the foreign players were capable of, as well as watched my BLLK kids improving, but now it is like I haven't seen Reo, Nagi, Chigiri etc. and what they are doing in NEL in years lmao but I digress)

yeah, kaiser is an asshole from the moment he was linearted out on page lmao, but i am kinda wondering about when kunigami was called an asshole, cuz i remember everyone calling him cyborg and such, and isagi (and chigiri when he came to check up on him later) was more or lessworried about him, or maybe I forget many moments idk

also, are you asking about Isagi's asshole moments being mentioned by his fellow teammates in the PXG vs Basmun match in particular, or in the NEL in general?

afair in PXG vs Basmun, it's hard to figure such stuff out when every single one of them is being an asshole lmao;

but in Mancity vs Basmun, Kenyu Yukimiya says this (if this is what you are asking):

I understand where he is coming from, he only has little time left for soccer, and Isagi could have put his proposition a little more nicely, but Yuki was also trying to sabotage the match by playing all by himself and not passing at all, so yeah lol both sides are at wrong. but Isagi apologized at the end of the match iirc, and by the time of Ubers, these two are cooperating (kindaaaa) so you could say they made up after all

for me personally, an asshole isagi moment was this:

everyone's soccer career is at stake and when kiyora gets the first chance to go on field, isagi just ups and says, we can't win that way. we can't win with kiyora on team?? but we did have a "scoring pass" for PXG vs Basmun from this very kiyora that led to the 2nd goal, right?? and how does he assume kiyora can't use his eyes and his brains the same way as isagi, bc he def put himself in the very spot where the chances to receive the ball were high and he did receive the ball? i doubt isagi has played with kiyora before, i highly doubt it, because kiyora is a more keep-to-himself guy, so does he really know what kiyora is capable of? he simply give up on kiyora as another run-about-the-field kurona, whereas kiyora is def energy saving kinda player who reads the field and places himself where the chance of receiving the ball is high

also, why does isagi need another player to see the same things as he does, I thought his whole gimmick was to visualize a goal and use what resources he has at hand (such as yukimiya or kunigami let's say) to score a goal for himself. the moment he says he needs an isagi 2.0, my respect for him dulls. if he had used kiyora in any way he wanted, even if it be self-centred, i won't have minded. ... plus, he still had kaiser on field, he can "use" kaiser for the same results he needed hiori for, and scored a goal for himself. that would have been a better triumph over kaiser than isagi 1 + isagi 2 teaming up against kaiser. idk this felt like a cheap move on isagi's part here, hiori was not the one chosen to play at the time; to push kiyora down and let hiori play feels like favoritism or smth? i can't get the right word, but def an asshole move. and isagi is just another player on team, not on the team selection committee?? and finally, in the last stage of PXG vs Basmun match, isagi still had to team up with kaiser in spite of hiori on team to defeat PXG? by his logic, shouldn't hiorisagi team up be enough for new ideas against PXG? dunno maybe i am reading too much here. it's just the feeling like kiyora didn't do anything to isagi and he is being a dick to him and bombing his soccer career for no reason lmao

I think when half the characters on the page are talking about how they were inspired by Isagi and how he makes soccer fun for them you probably shouldn’t come away with the take of “Wow Isagi is such a POS look at him” LOOK AT HIM DOING WHAT

The only characters who fucking hate his guts are Rin and Kaiser, and with those two especially it’s because of absolutely nothing to do with Isagi

He has done nothing to them, their hatred is clearly irrational and, in Rin’s case, fucking insane

It’s debatable if they even actually hate him or just hate the effect he has on them

If he was being an asshole then you’d see the effects of that in the surrounding cast 😭 Kunigami and Kaiser are clear examples of a character whose assholery is clear and undeniable bc everyone around them makes a point to mention that they’re assholes

Claiming unreliable narration doesn’t work when the narration is coming from everyone outside of the main character

And stop bringing Bachira into your tomfoolery, why would they break up. Lol.

Also everyone who wanted PXG to win…I don’t understand that why would you want Rin’s behavior to lead him to a win WHY

(Excuse the red demon eyes😂) So why do we as parents think we always need to get the new hip toys that come out every year? We would spend hundreds on our kids so they could have the best Christmas! When in reality they are good with the most simplest of things. I buy a new toy for Lilly. She will hold it and toss it. Give her a bag of wipes and she’s good for an hour. Buy Mason a new toy yes hell play with it for a day…the next day it will be obsolete. So why must we always worry ourselves about never buying them enough for Christmas? I do want my kids to have the best Christmas that they can ever have…. I’m just not going to waste money on things that will be played with once and then placed in the dark abyss called a closet or the never return black hole that lurks under beds. I mean I can buy Mason a bag of rocks for Christmas and he’d be so much excited that he can paint them all and go out and hide them. It will be a good Christmas. The best yet. Just with a lil less worry. Lol.
