ABOUT.

kang daesun was born and raised in san-diego to kang jinhee and kang jaesun who met at university a few years prior , deciding to move permanently to san-diego even when they finished their degree as they grew to love the city and met tons of people who actually made them want to stay for a longer time. jinhee is a journalist and jaesun a lawyer , but after giving birth jinhee mostly worked from home so that she could care about her son full time. she didn’t like the idea of leaving him in the care of others.

it was early in his life that the male started showing his love for any forms of art as he would paint, draw, take pictures, dance but also sing and play instruments. 

at school, he was always the class clown and loved entertaining his classmates, considering how boring he thought classes were and got in trouble many times because of that.  weirdly enough, he still had one of the top grades and when time to apply for universities arrived, he was accepted in many but decided to go to the very same one his parents met at. lexington university.

while he dipped in many kind of art forms throughout the years, he decided to major in fashion design as he was always passionate about clothes and wants to have his own clothing line one day. he also loves to wear his own inventions and participated in a few runways, winning some competitions here and there.

when it comes to his personality, he is what people could say an ICARIAN, as he is really adventurous and has a free spirit. he loves exploring new stuff and had the chance to travel tons of time as a kid. he is also very friendly and make friends easily. he also tends to fall for people quickly, which turned into heartbreak far too many times.

he doesn’t really label himself, as he can be attracted to whoever he wants to, things just happens.

catalina was born into a very traditional family, her parents own a business of their own and they always made sure their kids knew being SELF MADE is something valuable! the motto in their house, as catalina grew up, was to create your own thing and be the best you possibly could in that.

unlucky for her, catalina didn't know what her thing was for many years. she'd try something new and always, one or another, end up giving up and moving on for something else and that made her parents absolutely disappointed and they were VERY vocal about it

when she finally found her thing, the debate team, it had already been taken by her older sister. though she could be amazing at it, she would always stand under her sister's success and achievements. she'd do amazing at a competiton and in the end, they would pat her back saying 'just like your sister' or 'woah, your sister really taught you well'

in entering college, catalina promised herself she wouldn't be compared to anyone. she cut ties with her family's legacy and went to a completely different place, where no one knew who they were or what they have done in the past. 

PERSONALITY WISE!!!!

needless to say, this one is as ambitious as they get. being raised in a house like that always aiming to be first, catalina developed an undying wish to be the best in everything. if it gives her a medal, she's there and in the end, it goes on the wall.

she's very sociable, and yet truste like two people?? she rarely goes around telling people things and hates if people are talking about her without her being in room. she wants to control her imagem and what people think about her so if you want to piss her off, tell her there's a rumour going around, it'll literally ruin her day.

BACKGROUND.

cruz was born in austin , tx. to a single father who was struggling w/ his sexuality and had a one night stand the resulted in cruz being born and his dad deciding to keep him.

cruz’s mom booked it before he was even two. 

as a kid , cruz ran away from home multiple times when he was a kid because he was a #rebel and his dad wasn’t able to give him a ton of attention.

failed the 9th grade because he would skip all the time.

what cruz really loves is music , something him and his dad bonded over from a young age.

okay basically i’ll do a summary in case y’all dont wanna read his SAD story. tw: domestic abuse, abandonment, alcohol abuse. 

Summary: ARES BYERS, 23, SENIOR.

A finance major at LexU.

He’s currently doing both soccer and boxing, but soccer would be for his athletic scholarship. ( he has a full ride )

Boxing would definitely be like more of an anger relief thing and honestly, he defs loves soccer but he knows he can’t rely on that for a forever thing. plus he defs things boxing is good money, yknow that side hustle illegal shit

Loves art like a lot.

 He visits his siblings probably every other day or whenever he can because he really is so protective of them or he’d even bring them to campus all the time even though his “ step dad” hates it.

His relationship with his mum is still super strained because she really is in denial about her toxic abusive situation with his “step dad”  and hes trying to tell her hes going to get her out and she just does not want to.

His mum is an alcoholic and his stepdad is physically abusive to them like most of her past partners which is something ares has been dealing with since he was a child.

hes solely doing finance to get a good job to get his mum and siblings out of the situation theyre in now.

he wants sole custody of his 3 siblings but i mean, he needs a stable job and place to live aka finance

 has 3 younger sisters who he adores.

HISTORY STUFF ( YIKES SOZ ) Its long everybody.

 He was born to teenage parents who hadn’t even graduated high school yet. They had a pretty tumultuous situation and his dad really didn’t think they should have a kid, but his mum thought that it would bring them closer together and make his dad mature…. Which definitely didn’t end up happening.

once Ares was born his dad stuck around for about a year or two before basically abandoning them and offering to give up parental rights to his mum Alycia.

That’s when things basically just went downhill. It really messed with his mum, obviously she was supporting ares on her own with no support from anyone, no family and very little money, at the time she had been trying to go to school but had to give that up once she was the sole provider for Ares. And the fact that someone she thought was going to be her partner abandoned her just led her down a pretty dark path.

It was just his mum and him after this. There wasn’t a lot of stability for them. His mum for a while was the only family he had. his grandma wasn’t really very supportive of his mum having the baby and living with his dad etc and they’re relationship was quite strained too.

• By the time Ares was about 12 he was already probably mature beyond his years, his mum by then had basically gave herself up to alcohol and had some pretty bad shady boyfriends in the house. Ares would definitely still vividly remember like explosive fights between her and boyfriends where things got physical between them and even to Ares from multiple different boyfriends.

His schooling was just.. a mess he definitely repeated a grade or two because of the commotion of home life.

Regardless though he was still VERY protective of his mum even if he felt pretty abandoned by her, he was just confused why she was letting these people come around when they were better on just the two of them. But that really didn’t last long, his mum ended up having multiple other kids with different people.

 So he has Maeva, Orion and Lea who are his half siblings and theyre all under 12.

I  think he definitely grew up faster than most because he always felt an urge to protect his mum and his siblings now especially. he worried about them all. He was definitely an anxious kid.

• His mum ended up marrying but honestly Ares couldn’t hate his stepfather more. He would refuse and still does refuse to call him dad or stepdad because he truly thinks he’s a piece of shit. Like he knows he treats his mum like shit and hes had no problem being physical with the both of them and once ares got old enough he really did start fighting back which only made it worse.

There’s probably been multiple times where its been ares calling the police on him after he fought with his mum but as usual his mum always takes his side which honestly fucked ares up constantly but eventually as soon as he could he was working even at like 13/14 because he was desperate to save money thinking he could help his family get out of the fucking mess they were in.

 His number one priority is and will always be his mum and his sisters even though deep down I think he has some kind of resentment towards his mum he’ll always love her. He just wishes that she would take his side especially against his “ step dad”

Basically though once he was about that age he realised he really needed to start focusing on school, grades and sport anything he could so he had some kind of chance to get into a good uni and get his family out of everything. Like he knew he’d need somewhere he could get a full ride since theyd never be able to afford it and somewhere still nearby so he could look after his sisters still.

 His stepdad knew though that ares was working even when he wasn’t supposed to be and he really took advantage of that, he was definitely beyond lazy and ares basically always felt more of a parent to his sister than anyone else.

 So basically he ended up graduating – late however he was 19 when he graduated high school because of repeats and luckily enough he got a full ride to Lexington university and he really took it within a heartbeat. He ended up choosing finance not because its anything he’s interested in but because he wanted something that would pay really well so he can support his family, but he knew he didn’t have 8 years to do medical school etc.

Personality:

 he can have a shitty attitude won’t lie, like he’s very focused and set on what he wants and needs to do and he wants no one getting in the way of that.

He’s super into boxing to release a lot of the pent up anger he obviously feels and really because he wanted to know how to fight back all the assholes his mum had in his life.

He is can be extroverted and talkative but I think with the people who aren’t close to him or to people he doesn’t have a real trust in it’s probably a pretty surface level. Its never about his family or past in fact I think that part would be something very few if any people know about.

his sisters aka his pride and joy, he probs has pictures of them in his wallet.

He likes to keep things light hearted as a distraction from himself but he definitely doesn’t let people in easily.

He really tries to avoid confrontation because it’s so triggering to him but he does have a temper which is what scares him. He is like paranoid he’s going to become a product of his environment so he goes against that as much as he can but if people come for his family or anything he would lose it.

Can be aloof.

 Has a hard time trusting anyone has good motives or will stick around because of much he’s been abandoned and how manipulative the people in his mums were.

He’s cynical.

 He really holds onto grudges pretty easily.

His ass is pretty sarcastic and witty, a huge smart ass.

 He���s not into commitment right now or he’s avoiding. Like the only examples he’s ever seen of relationships have been a mess and it’s not exactly his priority. ( but lbr  whats the fun in that. )

 He tries to abstain from alcohol but he finds that pretty hard. When he does he tends to drink pretty heavily which is why he tries not to because he knows it obviously has caused his mum so much grief.

 Hes an escapist.

 He’s really super protective though, of the people he does have in his life I think he really wants to give those people the things he didn’t have so he overcompensates and would literally fight whatever or whoever for the people around him.

•He definitely is really big into art but that’s also something really personal he doesn’t share much and he knows like that isn’t going to provide for his family which is exactly why he's done finance.

honey was born julieta marisol gonzález-vik , and her father always called her honey or honey pot from the second he knew his high school sweetheart rosa was pregnant at seventeen years old. of course her parents had dreams , what kid doesn’t ?? but they both did what they had to do for their daughter and then eventually their son. her parents had no help either. her mother was kicked out when she told her parents she was pregnant and her father, william was kicked out for being with rosa because his parents were racist. they struggled hard but loved their family. there were times they were bouncing from cheap motel to cheap motel , her mother only ever getting waitressing jobs and her father working for a grocery store and then eventually becoming an assistant manager. which is when they were able to become more stable.

julieta honey, has always had some what of an attitude. sassy, dramatic and the apple of her fathers eye. she had that man wrapped around her finger and everyone , including her knew it. her father and brother were close , but william and honey had a different kind of unbreakable bond. when she would get in trouble at school she would go right to him and tell him what actually happened , no lies between the two.

when it was time to start thinking about college , honey knew her family wouldn’t have the money to send her anywhere , despite wanting to go to juilliard , honey settled for two years of community college. that’s where she really started to change , she was always confident , bitchy almost even high school , a mean girl with looks but no money to really flaunt , but college she was wild. not in a partying way but she started to wear her make-up more dramatic and she started to dress differently. making her own clothes even then. while she was always a little bitchy , her mean streak didn’t start until the night of may 4th, 2018 when her father was murdered at a gas station by a homeless man who wanted money. the death of her father affected honey more than anyone knew. she closed up , and stayed to herself. she got worse when only months after her mother started to date a co-worker. with nothing and no money , honey applied to scholarship after scholarship to get into lexu. she transferred in the summer of 2019 after finishing up a two year degree in community college and never looked back. she hasn’t spoken to her mother sense. 

at lex , honey wanted a different identity. she wanted to forget the sad poor girl she once was. never officially going by honey until she transferred. victoria came from her fathers mother victoria and of course , her nickname given to her by her father - honey. no one knows her real name , ( unless plotted otherwise ) and she tells everyone that her family is mexican royalty and leaves it at that and no one ever really questions it.

the money she does have she gets from being her only fans where she doesnt show her face , and she’s out here scamming older men for money ( good for her ). she also makes all her clothes because 1. it’s cheaper too and 2. it’s just so add to her Look.

grew up in a wealthy suburb of Boston

his mother is a heiress of an old money fortune, and his father is a successful biotech company owner 

he actually likes his parents a lot despite them being busy and not being able to build a deep relationship with him. kade really loves his twin little brother and sister who are in 5th grade ( they’re his lockscreen ... and yes, this gets many ‘awwws’ from the ladies. )

grew up with nannies who really helped him grow up, and who always tried to humble him

but he’s used to being alone a lot, so kade is very independent and doesn’t mind doing things on his own

LONG  STORY  SHORT,   rowan  was  born  and  raised  in  france   ----  moved  to  washington  when  he  was  13  ( divorced  parents  remarried  ),  then  moving  again  to  california  because  he  got  accepted  in  lexington  university

he’s  majoring  in  archaeology,  because  he  always  found  artifacts  beautiful  and  intriguing,  even  as  a  kid  he  won’t  stop  reading  about  them

Born as the middle child of three to James and Hua-Lee, the nation renowned power couple in the law and medical field, Emily had always stuck out of her family like a sore thumb. She not only was the only one who wasn’t inherently into STEM courses, but she had found her call to the Theater.

She always adored the theater, so much so, that she would skip classes just to go watch afternoon matinees of as many Broadway shows she could afford on her middle school allowance.

Despite her truancy and aversion for more structured education, she had always gained high marks at school.

To make a truce with her parents, she signed up for as many dance classes as she could, if she promised to go to school more and give her schoolwork more priority. 

Emily got the nickname from her younger sibling, who had a problem with saying Emily, thus, Mimi was given to her, and she has stuck with it ever since.

When she applied for colleges, with her 5.8 GPA in high school, she realized that she could’ve gone anywhere and done anything. So she applied to Yale, Harvard, Brown, Lexington, and NYU. She got into every school she applied for, however, the school that was calling to her the most was NYU, even if that was the one her parents pushed for. 

Mimi’s parents sent her to Lexington to attempt her to gain some structure and buckle down more on academics. Though for the most part, it didn’t work. If anything, she’s become a bit more free-spirited and found a bit more of herself in the hallowed halls of Lexington.

She didn’t go to college right away. She took the graduation money her parents gifted her and went traveling for a year and a half, but not without discussing that idea to her advisors that ensured her spot.

She then lived in London for a year and traveled along the coast for the remainder of her time abroad. She came home with a month to spare, allowing herself to brush up on her studies before she started her classes. 

She originally was going to be a Lawyer, following her family’s legacy in law, until she secretly changed her major, and immediately felt like she was doing the wrong thing, but for the right reasons.

She minors in pre Law, but that’s just to allow herself to feel like she’s not completely lying to her parents. 

She likes the flexibility of going to Lexington because she can stretch her wings and even work on stage lots without having to worry about balancing school and her passion.

She gets along with everybody and is always trying to get people to go on adventures with her. She enjoys seeing how people act in certain situations, and she is always there to help them if they get in trouble. 

She can sing, dance, and act. She just doesn’t believe in herself the same way she believes in her actors on the stage in front of her every show she works. 

Emily has had only one boyfriend, and he broke her heart by falling for her best friend while she was at theater camp one summer. She then swore that she was going to keep her head in the books, plays, and thesis papers until she knew she could trust someone again.

「 cody christian. cismale. her/him. 」i hope that #lexsquad member「 KIERAN BROOKS 」adds me to the squad ! the 「 TWENTY-TWO 」year old 「 SPORTS MANAGEMENT 」 major has been apart of the squad since 「 JANUARY 2018 」and seems to be the 「 JOCK 」of the group.「 KIE 」is a「 JUNIOR 」 and seems to enjoy 「 PLAYING FOOTBALL 」but you can always find them at a squad party , too !

hello , thanks for checking in , i’m still a piece of garbage. 

kieran was born and raised in portland , maine. his mother is a historian for a local museum in portland where her area of expertise is in native american studies , both her and kie are apart of the penobscot nation in maine. it was only ever kie and his mom. his dad had left when he was only three years old and his mom made a good life for her and her son. 

kieran got into football early on in his life , his uncle is an ex-pro football player and since he lived close to him he would teach kieran everything he knows about football. it quickly became a love of is and he’s been playing since he was in fourth grade.

portland is all kieran knows , so when he decided to apply to lex u , everyone was shocked. but with the help of his uncle kieran was able to go to lex !! 

kieran is ... not the brightest boy. but god , is he so sweet. he’s just dim.

he’s on the football team at lex and he’s apart of a frat !!

another thing about kieran is that he’s in the closet. he’s never came out to anyone besides one person ( wc on lex ) and they dated. his family would still love him , and it has more to do with him than it has to do with them.
