Starring: Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, Bruce Boxleitner Directed By: Joseph Kosinski
IN THE HEART OF THE SEA (2015) 42% #23 Critics Consensus: The admirably old-fashioned In the Heart of the Sea boasts thoughtful storytelling to match its visual panache, even if it can't claim the depth or epic sweep to which it so clearly aspires. Synopsis: In 1820, crewmen (Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy) aboard the New England vessel Essex face a harrowing battle for... Starring: Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy, Brendan Gleeson Directed By: Ron Howard
IN TIME (2011) 37% #24 Critics Consensus: In Time's intriguing premise and appealing cast are easily overpowered by the blunt, heavy-handed storytelling. THE EDGE OF LOVE (2008) 37% #25 Critics Consensus: Despite effective performances from Knightley and Miller, The Edge of Love lacks a coherent narrative. Synopsis: Beneath a woman's striking beauty lies a secret that will unleash her indelible strength and skill to become one of... Starring: Sasha Luss, Luke Evans, Cillian Murphy, Helen Mirren Directed By: Luc Besson
RED LIGHTS (2012) 30% #27 Critics Consensus: Wasting the talents of an impressive cast on a predictable mystery, Red Lights lacks the clairvoyance to know what audiences want. Synopsis: Professional skeptics (Cillian Murphy, Sigourney Weaver) try to prove that a famous psychic (Robert De Niro) is lying about his... Starring: Cillian Murphy, Sigourney Weaver, Robert De Niro, Toby Jones Directed By: Rodrigo Cortés

Starring: Johnny Depp, Rebecca Hall, Paul Bettany, Cillian Murphy Directed By: Wally Pfister
ALOFT (2014) 17% #30 Critics Consensus: Glacially paced and ineptly plotted, Aloft crushes the game efforts of a talented cast under a dreary viewing experience whose title proves sadly ironic. Ok this may sound a bit weird but…I imagined a TDG/Heartstopper AU! the pairing is Frank/Liam! (Aka the Charlie and Nick of this au) I was thinking that Danny should be Ben, Elektra and Faith could be Darcy and Tara (I sometimes ship Elektra and Faith) and I don’t about Tao and Elle but I would love to hear your opinion on this, Charlie X Nick forever!
So sorry for the delay in replying to this. I love this concept so much. Crossovers are like always my favourite thing to imagine, and you picked two of my favourite things so this is perfect! Heartstopper with Frank/Liam is BEAUTIFUL. Danny as Ben makes perfect sense, as do Elektra and Faith as Darcy and Tara. Since we're doing the older kids from like early TBR/early TDG, I think that Tao (if Frank is Charlie, then his protective bestie) could be Rick? Or Johnny, but I'm feeling Rick more, and if Rick is Tao, then I feel that Carmen could be Elle. I know she's a bit younger than them, but like, just pretend they're a bit closer in age (I mean, they ARE only about three years apart at most so it's really not that much of an issue).
Honestly, you've made me want to think of this for some of the others as well. I'm sure you won't mind me rambling a bit, so let's do this!
A Tyler/Ryan version, with them as Nick and Charlie respectively. Ben would be either Alex or Bailey in this situation because they're both a bit closeted, I'm leaning more towards Alex because he and Ryan had more of the tension between them (Bailey definitely had it with Tyler, though). Tara could be Jody because she would be Tyler's ex-girlfriend in this situation and would definitely be someone for Ryan to worry about in regards to Tyler still having feelings for her, and I'm thinking then that Darcy would probably be Sasha. I'm not totally sure about Tao and Elle, mainly because 1) I'm finding it hard to imagine any of the TDG characters saying the line "as your token straight friend" because not a single one of them are straight and 2) Ryan doesn't really have... friend outside of Tyler and Chloe, and while Chloe could be Tao... I suppose Elle could be Candi-Rose then, actually, couldn't she? They just wouldn't be doing the whole only boys/only girls school thing then.
I think a Jody/Carmen version, featuring them as Charlie and Nick respectively as well, would be interesting too. Gemma is Ben, of course. Sasha is Tao, Jody's witty and sarcastic bestie, who is a little bit in love with Charlie, our Elle in this situation. Now, I know that Tyler SHOULD be Tara because he is Jody's ex, but he has more of Darcy's personality I feel, so Bailey can be our Tara.
A Ben/Lol version, because I'm a sucker for rarepairs. Ben is Nick, Lol is Charlie. Michael would definitely be Ben just because he's kind of the worst, you know? Crash as Tao, aka Lol's straight bestie who is absolutely certain that Ben is Very Straight, and Tracy as Elle. I'm not sure who Tara and Darcy would be because Ben doesn't really have an ex-girlfriend to be Tara, so maybe... Jackie? And Darcy could be Roxie, I don't know. I'm not sure about those two.
If you have any other TSOTB/TBR/TDG crossover ideas for Heartstopper please feel free to send them, I would LOVE to read them!! This was a lot of fun to think about.

This is a work I've started called You, Me and Him. Enjoy. 😃
Chapter 1 It had happened again. Someone had hit him and knocked him down hard, but hadn't stopped there. The others watched, pointed, laughed while the coach and referee were at a loss for what to do. His attacker skated out onto the ice and challenged him. "Come on then!" And then, Liam was gone, he was no longer in control of his body or actions. A low growl escaped his lips and as he tried to follow the asshole, he just fell, He didn't know how to skate. He didn't share that skill with Liam and he just lay on the ice, before falling into unconsciousness and retreating back into the deepest darkest recesses of Liam's mind. He only came out when Liam was threatened, someone he cared about was threatened and if he was extremely angry. They left him there, just sleeping on the ice and it wasn't for 15 minutes that anyone found him. Katie was ready for her ice time and she was stretching and prepping when she saw him, unconscious. She immediately skated up next to him and knelt on the ice. She tried to wake him and he just groaned softly. "Hey, I'm Katie. Can you hear me?" She tried to keep her voice gentle in case he had a concussion or something. She shook him a little more vigorously and he gasped, shooting awake. She slid back and he looked at her and around really confused. "Are you okay? Do you need me to call someone?" She moved closer and he narrowed his eyes at her, causing her to recoil. "Just fuck off." He got up and skated away, causing her to get really confused. "Are you sure you're okay?!" She called after him and he turned to give her a fleeting look. "Mind your own damn business!" She kissed her teeth and got up off the ice. Nevermind then. She shook him off and started warming up on the ice, though, she couldn't help wonder about the mystery guy who had been such a nob for no good reason. He slammed his hand into his locker and grabbed his stuff from it. "What the fuck did you do?" It came out harsher then he had meant it and he rubbed his head, which was pounding. Nothing they didn't deserve. He shook his head and rubbed the back of his neck which pain was flaring up in. "That wasn't what I asked." Then, he just disappeared and he got his skates off, throwing them in his bag and storming back through the rink. He stopped for a second and watched the girl, who's name he didn't remember, skate. She looked like an angel as she gracefully travelled across the ice. He was almost entranced for a second but he shook it off and just kept walking. "O'Donovan!" He heard his coach yell from behind him and he stopped, narrowing his eyes at the shorter man. "I'm sick to my back teeth of your fucking attitude. You're out, I would apologise but I'm glad to be rid of you." He clenched his fist and that was it, he never really cared for the team anyway. They were all steroid filled assholes who cared little for others and only for themselves. "For fucks sake! You fucking ruin everything!" He screamed as he was again alone in the bones of the rink, the only noise being faint music and the girls blades sounding out against the ice. He was in the corner of her eye as he walked back past the rink and she shook her head softly before continuing her warm up. She skated for a good few minutes and saw him still standing there, his eyes locked on her, starting at her, not through her like her asshole of a boyfriend tended to do. They were fighting again, they always were but she was so disillusioned into thinking that he was perfect and that he was the only one who would ever love her because she was nothing, not good enough. She was too short, to skinny and too blonde is what he always told her but he'd follow it with, but I love you despite this. She was so under his control it was beginning to get ridiculous. She'd alienated all of her friends and the more time she spent with him, the worse and worse she became. She had begun to get depressed and her bubbly fun personality had began to disappear. Her anxiety had come back and whenever her ex was near she would get nervy. She needed to get out but she didn't want to admit it to anyone, least of all herself. She was sad to see that he had left and she jumped when she heard him yelling at someone. "For fucks sake! You fucking ruin everything!" She stopped for a second to listen but he didn't say anything else and she heard the door slam loudly behind him. "Nice guy." She muttered and went back to her practice, she needed all the practice she could get, all figure skaters did.

A | A League
Alonso, however, had the faith of the Italian and repaid it with consistent performances in his first season that helped Chelsea win the Premier League. Liam Finn will be captain, with Scott Grix as his understudy, and James Hasson is also included. Little League® International has announced that April Meehleder has officially been named the new Little League Western Region director. Justice League reportedly changes the comic book connection between Steppenwolf and the ruler of Apokolips, Darkseid.
Sehome was hoping a touchdown on the first play of the game would have set the tone, but Bellingham came roaring back to take a non-league victory 39-20 on Friday at Civic Stadium. Now, there are possibly more ex- Premier League stars in the lower echelons than ever before. Manchester United and Chelsea supporters are already pretty fond of their expensive summer signings, with the striking duo forming part of another record-breaking window for Premier League clubs.Meanwhile, other teams' postseason chances were severely damaged. The general consensus is the Reds will be challenging for glory six months from now.
Ayoze Perez has heaped praise on manager Rafa Benitez following Newcastle's positive start to life back in the Premier League. KEVIN Muscat isn't "ringing any alarm bells" after Melbourne Victory suffered a 1-0 loss to Sydney FC at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night. It was a day to remember for Roy O'Donovan, as he starred in Newcastle Jets' thrashing of his former team Central Coast Mariners. In a tight, tense tussle between the old sparring partners, Victory started strongest with a blistering opening 20 minutes. My Fox Sports companion, Mark Bosnich, has even tipped them for the premiership. SYDNEY FC have edged Melbourne Victory 1-0 in the inaugural Big Blue of the season, courtesy of an own goal off Thomas Deng. Ireland boss Mark Aston has named his squad for the 2017 World Cup, which starts on 27 October. It was Sydney's fourth win a row against their "Big Blue" rivals after Graham Arnold's men prevailed in all three A-League fixtures last season, then again on penalties in the grand final. Newcastle striker Roy O'Donovan has bagged a first-half A-League hat-trick to help the Jets thrash his former club Central Coast 5-1 in Gosford.

could i be sending this on instagram? yes. am i sending it on here anyway for fun? also yes
currently on the season 5 finale and wow i forgot how much i hate the dumblebys. i’ve never wanted to murder a fictional character more. it’s bloody annoying that that shit goes on in real life too. fuck capitalism
tee implying candi-rose reminds her of carmen? iconic. those two deserved more screen time together… actually i really hope that the finale of this show, whenever it eventually ends, features every kid who ever lived in the dg since at least the start of tbr, plus mike, tracy, cam… everyone. if the finale is just 2 full hours of everyone swapping stories and reminiscing i will be happy
ok but actually i’m very upset about mission totally possible, i’d missed it in previous rewatches so my dumb ass watched that mindfuck of an episode for the first time ever at 2am and i think i lost braincells from it
honestly most of the latter half of s5 is very disorienting and oddly done. did anything between the wardrobe and where you belong even happen. i mean i know most of it did because charlie moved in but the tone is so odd and wrong. i’m very confused
i forget how much i love adult elektra, in both s5 and s8 she is i c o n i c. she really just said fuck the system huh. and got frank involved? beautiful.
the amount of scheming occurring this episode is absolutely astounding. i’m amazed liam isn’t involved
ryan being protective over all the younger kids is my new religion thank you and goodbye. you can just tell he would’ve been such a good brother to chloe if things had gone differently
floss may be a capitalist but apparently she’s also a feminist, honestly i can’t wait to see what she does when she leaves the dg (that’ll only be in a few years?? mad. she joined this show when she was six)
alex really thought he can steal roman relics from a museum alone, with about an hour of planning and wearing distinct clothes? fool. he could never get away with a heist as clean as the money one, im amazed anyone fell for dumbleby’s lie
wait hold on. why can’t they just move from house to house like they did from elm tree to ashdene?? that seems like b i g plot hole
oh god oh fuck i’m on season 6 oh no
I'm happy you're still sending your rambles on here because it means we get to force other people to see TDG content.
The dumbleby's really are some of the worst characters in TDG. Not badly written, but written well enough to make us despise them. And yeah, it really does suck that this is just real life, like, people fully will not care about disrupting these kids lives and giving them further trauma just to make some money.
I was so happy that Tee implied Candi-Rose reminds her of Carmen because they really are quite similar! You are galaxy-brained, that is exactly the finale we need. I don't even want a plot. I want raw emotion of all of these characters reminiscing and giving the actors a chance to show their love for each other and the show through their characters. I want to see characters that just missed each other finally interact. The older ones from the very start marvelling over how big the little ones who were there at their time now are, and how they've taken over their roles to the younger ones. I even want, if possible, a few cameos from TSOTB characters, specifically Crash, Jackie, Justine, and most unlikely, Ben. The finale better at least be more than a half hour, because I will never be satisfied with that.
I will give you that, mission totally impossible was... weird. I mean, it's one of my favourite episodes because it's mostly Jody centric, and has Jody/Tyler AND Ryan/Tyler content, so I really can't complain about that. But the actual plot was.... something else.
On that note, I really do not like most of season 5. Like you said, it's disorienting, all of the episodes feel like fillers but not in a good way - especially the wardrobe episode, I hate that one specifically with a passion because it's just so weird and feels completely wrong from the tone of the rest of the show. Season 5 was not one of their better seasons. Glad they've moved away from whatever they were trying to do there.
Adult Elektra! Iconic really is the only word to describe her. She's the same but more mature, with a better sense of what she wants and what she's doing, and a bit more responsibility, and I really love that look on her. And yes, her getting Frank involved was the cherry on top; she really can't stop roping him into her schemes, just like her first episode. I desperately wanted Liam to be involved in those episodes because he would have been a very useful and welcome addition to the scheme team, and he was still living with Frank, as far as I'm aware? We deserved adult Elektra/Frank/Liam team up. We need the scheme team back together!!
Ryan is my villain origin story and it's only strengthened when he interacts with the younger ones. That boy would have been the best big brother.
Floss being a feminist does make sense to me. And I love that for her! It's about the only thing I do love for her lmoafkajsksjhd but yeah, I actually kinda do wanna know what she plans to do when she leaves the dg, because we haven't heard much about that? She had an interest in dance and acting and some other things, and she's been quite determined recently to do whatever she can to make money, so I definitely see her being an entrepreneur of some sort. Either that or the scariest business woman alive.
Look, Alex is trying his best, okay? That boy has about two brain cells. And that's being generous. But I love his effort, at least. No thought and no plan, but A+ for effort.
Honestly, that is a big plot hole. The change in building from Elm Tree to Ashdene Ridge in general is a bit of a plot hole because they never actually discuss it within the show? Obviously at the wedding, Tracy says she knew the old one better, which at least kind of acknowledges that it's definitely not the same house, but it's so weird that they never even tried to explain within the show why they had to move and change the name. So, the fact that they made a big deal of possibly having to move building this time was definitely odd. Like... we KNOW they've already done it. They COULD do it again, potentially, if they had the money or whatever they need. I think the plot was just for the Drama and the Angst of nearly being separated, which I can appreciate, at least.
Oh no. Good luck to you, season 6 will destroy you again. It always kills me. That's why it's one of my favourites.

Tracy Beaker Returns
I actually believe its the last series; I cried so hard because that Dennis guy was like ruining the place I always wanted to go, basically my childhood, and he was destroying all the things that made it amazing.
And I was all like 'NO! You can't do that.' every two seconds. If I was Tracy I really would have said what a shit careworker he was cause he didn't fucking care, and I really didn't get how he suddenly became in charge
But the best 2 things were how fit Liam was, and how cute it was that out everyone, Frank, who's disabled, gets the pretty girl/ But she was a bitch/ And the bit where Gus was handled by Dennis when his room was searched was so distressing; that was probably the hardest to watch because I felt so sorry for Gus, and I think that Dennis is such a dick for that/

A | A League
The general consensus is the Reds will be challenging for glory six months from now. Now, there are possibly more ex- Premier League stars in the lower echelons than ever before. Justice League reportedly changes the comic book connection between Steppenwolf and the ruler of Apokolips, Darkseid. Manchester United and Chelsea supporters are already pretty fond of their expensive summer signings, with the striking duo forming part of another record-breaking window for Premier League clubs.
Little League® International has announced that April Meehleder has officially been named the new Little League Western Region director. A-League Review: O'Donovan comes back to haunt Mariners, Sydney scrape narrow win. It was a day to remember for Roy O'Donovan, as he starred in Newcastle Jets' thrashing of his former team Central Coast Mariners.Alonso, however, had the faith of the Italian and repaid it with consistent performances in his first season that helped Chelsea win the Premier League. It was Sydney's fourth win a row against their "Big Blue" rivals after Graham Arnold's men prevailed in all three A-League fixtures last season, then again on penalties in the grand final.
SYDNEY FC have edged Melbourne Victory 1-0 in the inaugural Big Blue of the season, courtesy of an own goal off Thomas Deng. What a way to win your first A-League game since January 27.My Fox Sports companion, Mark Bosnich, has even tipped them for the premiership. In a tight, tense tussle between the old sparring partners, Victory started strongest with a blistering opening 20 minutes. Liam Finn will be captain, with Scott Grix as his understudy, and James Hasson is also included. Ayoze Perez has heaped praise on manager Rafa Benitez following Newcastle's positive start to life back in the Premier League. Meanwhile, other teams' postseason chances were severely damaged. Sehome was hoping a touchdown on the first play of the game would have set the tone, but Bellingham came roaring back to take a non-league victory 39-20 on Friday at Civic Stadium. One team clinched a playoffs spot, while two either clinched a share of a league title or won it outright.
