You know, for as much as I love Morrowind, it's questing is. . . Really bad, and i don't think this is really a hot take? Most of it really is just "Go to point A and get expositioned at! and then go to point B to get expositioned at, and maybe if you've been a good little reincarnation we'll give you a dungeon to dive or maybe even some enemies to fight!" so much of it is just braindead busy work that isn't even particularly engaging - it's like I'm playing Final Fantasy 14 a Realm Reborn all over again - and I started playing Morrowind again to get my mind OFF of that horrible horrible experience. So it's wild, after YEARS of being unable to even touch Tamerial rebuilt because a BSA is apparently too much for my tiny little lizard brain - I finally get to play it - go to Old Ebonheart, and my first experience is: A weirdly engaging quest about some guy who was snippy towards a stable hand, and then the stable hand sold off his horse to some ""bandits"" (They were literally just Ashlanders) who thought they were getting a fair trade, and then they eat the horse and then feel really bad about it - and for once in my YEARS of playing Morrowind, I found myself engrossed in more than just the directions and lore drops. It feels bizarre - after years of not being able to play TR because of my stupid little monkey brain, my first actual experience with it proceeds to completely reignite my interest in playing this exposition simulator.

i wonder if the cast ever found Flayed Billy to be absolutely terrifying to act with. I'm rewatching ST out of boredom and i'm at battle of starcourt now and Dacre is terrifying as Flayed Billy.

Like Dacre is super charming and clearly an absolute sweetheart but Flayed Billy is honestly terrifying.

His strength, the predatorial way he reacts to things, that one scene where El tries to push him back in the mall and he just slams her head back against the wall then throws her against the other wall, the efficiency with which he takes them all down one by one, like they're nothing to him. They're completely defenseless against him and his strength.

Facing that kind of ferocity even acting has got to be at least a little intimidating.

The Flayer picked one hell of a host when it came to Billy, Will was clearly taken through necessity, Will was the only one who could walk between the worlds, he was the only one accessible at that time.

but given the choice of host... it knows how to pick em.
