really really unpopular opinion here, but does anyone else feel like sometimes there can be too much whump in a story? like, obviously I love pain and torture and angst and what-not. that’s why I’m in this community. but sometimes it’s just… it loses its sparkle when it’s all that’s present in a story. I don’t know. I’d love to see some whump fiction that have other stuff going on sometimes other than physical whump, but I know that whump is the most exciting part to write, and the part people are most drawn to, so it’s kind of unrealistic for me to expect that happening any time soon

Every once and a while I think about how my first ever interaction with dc characters were the animated Superman and Batman shows from the 90s/early 2000s and how that definitely heavily influenced how I see the characters.
But most importantly it heavily influenced how I see Lois, because in the crossover episodes of those shows it’s established that she’s super hot for Superman but thinks Clark is boring as hell. Meanwhile she thinks Bruce Wayne is just as hot as Superman but cannot stand Batman. And I think that’s very interesting but also fucking hilarious.

Love Someone who’s brain is soooo fucked up but hides it under a thin veil of cheerful competence. Merit’s a brutal realist with a pretty bleak view of the world and herself under her blade attitude, but also she’s here for a good time not a long time. Let the woes of the world be someone else’s problem! She’s got exploring to do! Magic to master! People to fuck!!
