i am FERAL ABOUT THIS WHORE (AFFECTIONATE)!! i love him so much, but not in the way thats like “oh hes a good boy, i love this good boy” because kaeya is very obviously Not a good boy. hes a liar and a snake and he does whatever it takes to get the job done so hes deffo skirting the line of moral ambiguity and thats like catnip to me ok. if it had ended there, i was already hooked. but no. noooo mihoyo went further by giving this dude a IMPLIED JESUS BACKSTORY!!!

idk if this is a popular opinion or not bc i dont keep up with whats the In Thing in fandom but like. im happy either way kaeya will go. if he sides with mondstadt or khaenri’ah. both are very interesting stories that im willing to see!!!

and like, either way, he’ll still be sexy.

How I feel about this character

at first i was kind of lukewarm about zhongli. like yeah i thought he was pretty but i wasnt immediately drawn to him because he didnt have much evil in him (kjhkjsdfKJBSD IM IN A ‘LIKING BAD BOYS’ PHASE OK!!!) but then i watched his story quests and was like. Oh. oh jesus christ. this is a tired ex-god who had to watch everybody he ever loved slip through his fingers. this is somebody who is paying the price for immortality and divinity in the most human of ways. this is somebody who wants to rest, but cant.hes a character i love very much because of how gotdamn SAD HE MAKES ME KJSDBFJSDKBVJSV.

(OH ALSO i am very interested in how he may have committed war crimes in the past. not necesarily because i think itd be cool if zhongli were evil, but because im interested in the wider story of how archons arent as perfect and good as we were first led to believe.)
