The Court AU has me DEAD!!! If you’d be willing, what sort of outfits would they wear? I’d love to draw them!
Anon, I had so many tabs open looking up medieval-type fashion and armor, we're talking like 30+, felt super awesome finishing this and closing them all 😌
Anyway--
Sans (Undertale): What’s black and blue and white all over? Why, him of course! His jester’s motley features a black-and-white diamond pattern, offset by bright, rich, royal blue—a mark of his service to the king. He doesn’t wear one of those silly hats, though…because he wears a silly hood instead! Less chance of falling off, you see. When not in costume he tends toward simple tunics, of decent material and often still in blue.
Papyrus (Undertale): Almost never out of full plate armor, even in downtime, he has to dress for the job he wants and that means being a shining metal bastion of knightly glory at all times! …Though he does often remove his helmet and hold it by his sword at his hip, or fasten it to his steed’s side. He’s a very handsome skeleton, it would be cruel to deny the people the chance to see their hero’s face!
Sky (Underswap Sans): Soft blues and yellows, as a squire only lightly armored—greaves and pauldrons, a mail shirt beneath his tunic if he’s expected to go into battle—but he considers even that much armoring to be overkill for what he’s doing. Still, his Captain insists, and it makes his brother feel better, so he takes care protecting himself. He has some nicer finery to wear about court, as a nobleman, but tends simpler for anything that might be dirtied or torn in training.
Paps (Underswap Papyrus): Rich green and earthy browns, his clothing tends to be without ostentation—no embroidery, no gold buckles or buttons, or anything especially elaborate. He may be noble but he’s a scholar and a recluse and prefers not to stand out much. Still, the fabrics of which his clothing is made are always fine, as coarse or stiff materials quite put him off. Mostly cottes—long belted tunics—with the occasional robe over, if it's cold.
Jasper (Underfell Sans): Blacks and browns, sturdy plain clothes which can stand up to considerable wear and tear. Often wears a short diamond-quilted gambeson and some leather armor (vambraces and greaves), but always has a sword belted to his hip and a cloak made of dire-wolf’s fur draped over his shoulders. If ever he should need to acknowledge his denounced family name, he does have some finer clothing stored away somewhere—in red—and a shiny gold signet ring with his family crest on it.
Pyre (Underfell Papyrus): Usually in half plate armor, dark metal heavily scratched and scorched, dents meticulously hammered back out. He also wears a tattered red cape about his shoulders that billows quite majestically behind him when he rides or runs into battle. He will occasionally dress down in laced tunics and breeches, still in red and black, fine but not too fine as to raise suspicion about his heritage. Should all that ever come out, he does have a suit of pristine night-black armor he’s been dying to inherit and a silken cape to pin about it with a golden clasp of the family’s crest.
Mal (Swapfell Sans): Mostly black but flaunts his privilege and royal ties with purple accents wherever possible. Brigandine armor with a fine gold-plated gorget and pauldrons and a few other ornamental trappings—he is the Empress’ personal guard and must in some capacity be as elegant. Very fine doublets and tunics for his (rare) downtime, often with gold threading, but not fond of most jewelries.
Rus (Swapfell Papyrus): Dark colors and crisp whites, noble yet eccentric, he has a lot of fine doublets and other such court-wear but tends not to actually…wear them. He can mostly be found in loose-fitting cottes, baggy sleeves often penned up by leather armlets to keep them out of his paints. He has a fur-hooded cloak for travel or cold weather, but he rarely leaves his rooms, much less the castle, so he doesn’t don it often.
Slate (Horrortale Sans): Dark browns and off-white cream, simple rough-hewn clothing showing signs of wear and occasionally odd stains. He works in the stables, with animals, and being around animals so much makes it difficult to keep clean. He has a somewhat decent dark blue cloak that he’ll wear into town for errands, or in polite company—it has a hood to conceal the great jagged hole in his head that tends to make the squeamish or timid flinch away from him.
Papy (Horrortale Papyrus): Still hasn’t quite shaken the habit to be armored, even when it isn’t necessary, but he’s cut down from full plate to chain mail only, much lighter and easier to move around in—which is vital when hurrying to the training field for an accident, or running to meet a wounded knight at the gates. He wears a simple tabard over his mail, blue with red edging (the Queen’s colors), and keeps a pouch of bandages and other aid supplies belted to his waist instead of a sword.
Ash (Undergloom Sans): The livery of the king’s court, gray and gold, but dyed into fabrics suitable for common folk. He still wears gray when not performing at court, tunics so thickly woven they could pass as a gambeson and often paired with hooded cloaks, but he keeps his golds set aside until needed to keep them in good condition. He takes equal care of his shiny brass sackbut (it’s a horn, with a very funny name but an instrument nonetheless) so it always plays well.
Yrus (Undergloom Papyrus): Off-white and tan linens, loose and breathable for hot work in the kitchens, sleeves rolled up and pinned at the elbows to keep them from getting in the way. Always an apron about his waist, occasionally with food stains after a long day’s work but these he quickly tends to as soon as he’s able. He has nothing in the way of real finery but tries very hard to make sure what he has is clean and presentable.
Brick (Horrorfell Sans): Fine brocaded doublets of rich red and shining gold thread, as a duke and brother to a king, he does have to dress the part a bit. He wears more jewelry, especially rings, but nearly always still has his dire-wolf fur cloak over his shoulders. When called for executions, he dresses down quite a bit, in simple black cloth with only a leather pauldron over one shoulder to help brace the weight of his axe before he swings.
King (Horrorfell Papyrus): Half plate armor essentially at all times, even formal or polite occasions—he’s the owner of a stolen throne and all too aware that it could be stolen from him the same way he got it. His breastplate is scaled and his pauldrons are elaborately spiked, but it’s all black. The only pop of color on him is his crown, the same worn by Asgore and Undyne, gold and sharp, with rubies inlaid.
Merc (Horrorswap Sans): Chain mail over a finely-made kaftan and beneath a traveling cloak, the latter two with signs of wear from a long journey. His head is notably absent of a crown—left behind in the kingdom he fled—but a new one awaits him soon, of flashing silver and blue stone, depicting the phases of the moon. When fully established in his new kingdom, he may begin dressing as a proper king again, draping himself in the blue and silver finery of the land that sheltered him.
Ell (Horrorswap Papyrus): Browns, greens, and blacks, he wears light leather armor—really just a breastplate and vambraces—and a thick woolen cloak about his shoulders. He has no need of greaves for his shins, legs lost to an accident in the wilderness, but supplanted by magical prosthetics, living blackened wood provided by his land when he called upon it for aid. …Not that he’s fully accepted that it’s his land, keeping his crown of twisting copper and emerald tucked away in a saddlebag instead of on his brow. Maybe someday…
Pitch (Horrorswapfell Sans): Rich purple and verdant green, amidst a sea of black—he favors very fine fabrics with open lacing at the chest. Still not especially fond of jewelry, but wears considerably more decorative leather braces on forearms, shins, and even the occasional full-chest corset. (He has some chronic pain and the extra pressure and support in certain spots helps.) He wears considerably more plain clothes for knight-training purposes and when traveling wears a black cloak with a cowl that comes down over the hole in his face at a point, as the beak of a raven.
Nemo (Horrorswapfell Papyrus): Usually in half plate splint mail armor for his patrols along the wall, but favors rusty oranges, brown and black for the tunics and boots and breeches he wears out of it. Often carries a lantern, and always has tinder in a pouch on his hip. Beside his pouch is a war-horn in case an alert would need to be called, loud enough to make everyone come running if it’s ever sounded.
Sunny (Gastertale Sans): A cavalierly styled courtier, at first having made do with graciously lent clothing and now being able to buy his own in a whole variety of rich colors—yellow, blue, magenta, and on. His aim is to look at home in court, which means he must dress as other courtiers do, so he has doublets and fine tunics and many, many fashionable capelets with embroidery and stylish pins, as well as a few equally chic plumed hats. The other courtiers look to him now for the latest fashion trends and he couldn’t be happier.
Aster (Gastertale Papyrus): A bit more subdued in style than his brother…though only a bit. He favors black frocks, almost as a cleric would wear, but beneath them, elegant doublets in greens and yellows as vibrant as anything his twin wears, with fine silver filigree work in his buckles and pins and clasps. He’s the pinnacle of restrained class and taste and it’s no wonder at all that the king should respect him so highly if his care in thought is as his care in appearance.
Spectr (Transcendtale Sans): Deep, dark black from head to toe, most prominently a long hooded cloak with two eye-lights glowing in the darkness. He always wears gloves and never lets his hood down, as he’s not especially fond of his metal bones and doesn’t really wish to be seen. It’s difficult to see in the daytime, but at night he’s trailed by faint wisps of ghostly light in all colors of the rainbow, such a strange sight that many a drunkard who’s seen him has poured out their bottle presuming they’d had quite a bit too much.
PapAIrus (Transcendtale Papyrus): Full plate armor, of course, but as he’s now some sort of spectral entity, it (and he!) glows and is slightly see-through. Being ghostly has washed out his colors quite thoroughly which is unfortunate—mostly all white with hints of silvery blue—but on the up-side he seems able to change his appearance some by will alone, donning or discarding his helmet at will, manifesting a majestic cape for himself out of the ether, and so on. It seems a fair enough trade to him!
Xanth (Ascendswap Sans): A man at court now, he’s donned an eye-patch and abandoned the trappings of prospective knighthood, fully embraced courtier fashion…if a bit ‘eccentrically.’ He favors bright yellows and spring greens, flowing garments of fine cloth layered beneath and over leather vambraces, gorget, and tasset. All these are elaborately, intricately designed and certainly make the similarly intricate gold jewelry (with multicolored gems) that he wears at wrist and neck stand out, but it’s hardly in fashion… Still, the mystic’s thinking is often inscrutable.
Piper (Ascendswap Papyrus): Unlike his brother, very fashionable and eye-catching, in rich amaranths and brilliant turquoises, with even the occasional lavender. He has many fine embroidered doublets, threaded liberally with gold, and wears many pieces of gold jewelry as well—necklaces, bracelets, pins, and brooches. When showing the birds of the crown at court or bidding them on a royal hunt, he wears the livery of the crown-proper—royal purple and gold—and always has a thick leather falconer’s glove on his left hand.
Carmine (Underfell Fruition Sans): What’s black and white and red all over? Well, newspapers haven’t been invented yet, so it’s him, of course! He’s no jester so he hasn’t a motley to wear to work, but he is a performer and does dress in the livery of the king, which is red and black. The material is a bit finer than he’s used to, but being that he’s no longer wearing rags and rotting in a hole, he’s quite pleased with it and doesn’t mind the bright colors that help him attract the eyes of many comely nobles at court. Off-duty, he sticks to loose, somewhat open tunics—red still very much preferred.
Tank (Underfell Fruition Papyrus): Laced linen shirts, not especially loosely fitting due to his largeness in the chest and shoulders but he hasn’t burst any seams in awhile so the measurements must be somewhat correct. He’s fond of white and a true connoisseur of red, all shades from dark to very light. He keeps an array of small carpentry tools—hammers, chisels, things for measuring—in a roll on his hip, a dedicated apprentice to the core.
Vi (Swapfell Fruition Sans): All black, pourpoint armor beneath fine silk doublets but almost disappointingly plain otherwise—no embroidery, no ornament, or stitched pattern, or brocade. Over this he wears a cloak, equally fine and with at least some ostentation, a bit of silver stitched decoration that matches the intimidatingly clawed silver gauntlet he wears upon his left hand—a symbol of his wealth, if not his status. These flashy items are for matters of court only, as he has a much more nondescript hooded cloak and less identifiable sharp implement which he uses for matters of stealth and misdeeds when it is important that he not be recognized.
Hunter (Swapfell Frution Papyrus): A prince in princely attire…mostly. He happily flaunts the color purple but proudly wears it with the black of his old family name, and drapes himself in silk tunics, fine (mostly decorative) pauldrons, capes and capelets. He tends to show off a bit more of his chest than seems appropriate for a man of his station, and seems to wear his elegant silver jewelry in ways such that the eye is drawn there, and…other places, but few question the whims of royalty. His pewter crown is heavy and inelegant and he’s talked much with his brother about how angry people would be if he had it melted and recast into something more stylish.
Kohl (Descendtale Sans): Plain, rough tunics, in black and dark brown. He wears a heavy fur-lined gabardine as it gets quite cold in the dungeons, though it’s uncertain where he managed to get such a nice garment. He keeps a knife on his belt, large and jagged-toothed, and though he hasn’t had need to use it yet, the threat of it tends to keep most prisoners from attempting to bring him harm.
Bram (Descendtale Papyrus): He’s traded in his full plate armor for a comfortably fit leather jerkin, accompanied by matching gauntlets to protect his hands and torso (inasmuch as they need protection, without flesh) from the thorns he trims back every day. He mostly wears black and white and brown, all things closely fit to his body, less they snag overmuch and need to be replaced too often. His clothing is simple but well-suited to his work, and he wears it nicely.

I promised y’all an analysis of Eddie’s room / workshop, and it is HERE in its full glory.
I would like to begin by saying that I don’t have access to the scene where Ford, Doyle, and the FBI investigators are going through Eddie’s apartment, because that has amazing views of several additional rooms in the apartment. As such, I will be analyzing the few screencaps I have with great reverence and scrutiny.
Tumblr media
First, his wall is absolutely COVERED in books. It’s impossible to see what the books are, but he obviously has quite a collection of all titles, sizes, and colors. My guess is that they’re informational books about machines, energy sources, etc., all the stuff he works with, but who knows? Maybe Eddie is obsessed with 1950s sci-fi novels or history textbooks or something else unusual.
He has a scarf (AN EXTRA ONE) hanging near his work table. It is so precious that I’ve made multiple posts about it.
Eddie kinda goes against what you might expect his room to look like. He’s very much surrounded by bright colors and light sources, which is not what you might expect from a black-leather-jacket-wearing, motorcycle-riding bad boy (I actually laugh at the thought of the writers trying to make Eddie seem like a “bad boy” stereotype). His pillars are painted red and yellow, his phone is bright green, his TV screen is brilliant purple, his workshop materials are all shiny and colorful—it’s just not what you might expect from him. Eddie is a man of contradictions, and I love that so much.
Tumblr media
There are lots of gorgeous sketches and prints around his apartment, usually hanging where he can see them. Several of them look like they were drawn by hand, which really shows the level of detail Eddie considers when he’s working on a project or brainstorming ideas. This one shown below honestly looks like the prints for some fancy contraption he designed and then built and photographed! He must have been really proud of how it turned out to hang it right next to his work table 😊
Tumblr media
Eddie’s coffee cup is something I’ve never been able to quite figure out. It’s white with a black symbol and words of some kind, but it’s very hard to get a good look at. To the best of my knowledge, it’s a space capsule, a tunnel, the planet Saturn, or a stack of pancakes (thanks @brokennecksfeatherweights  for that idea)!
Tumblr media
One of the main things that really stands out to me about Eddie’s apartment is how neat and clean and organized everything is. He’s not messy or cluttered in his work style; you can tell this is his comfortable safe space, and he knows exactly where everything is. Everything is practically pristine, which is just adorable :D
Tumblr media
Look at these shelves!! They are SO organized and cool. Eddie clearly collects anything he can find that he might be able to turn into a machine part, which speaks to his forward-thinking and his orderly way of living. I wish we could get a closer look at the things on the shelves, but it’s pretty clear that they’re metal machine parts organized by type. Also, the fact that THIS is the first time we see Eddie—in his own home, surrounded by machines and tools and looking effortlessly perfect in The White Shirt™—is such a gift.
Tumblr media
Again, you can see the very organized, very well-kept desk / work table in the background. Very cool. It is incredibly hard to write a thoughtful, well-constructed essay when Eddie just looks like that all the time.
Tumblr media
Here you can see a little staircase leading up to a small landing (probably the exit outside his apartment) where he hangs stuff. You can see the flannel shirt that he uses to wrap his frequency converter hanging on the post as he works in this scene. Also, it’s painted pale blue—another little color detail that I love.
Once again, the light streaming into the apartment contradicts the stereotype we might create for Eddie—grungy guy working in his dark workshop—and turns it into a place filled with light and color and creativity. Everything about this apartment screams Eddie and I really love that about it because I also scream that a lot.
Another wall completely covered in sketches and photos. Eddie must really love to sketch his ideas. I should write a fic about that…
Tumblr media
I’m really curious about all this stuff on his left. It’s hard to tell exactly what it is (thanks to my horrendous-quality screencaps), but whatever it is, it’s very well organized and clearly functional for what he’s building.
I am obsessed with lighthouses and have several little figures of my own, so I’m going to choose to believe that that’s a lighthouse on Eddie’s windowsill right behind him. Anything to make me feel connected to my love :)
Also, is that another coffee cup????? It totally is, it’s a different shape. HA.
Tumblr media
There are so many little things in Eddie’s apartment that really make it feel lived in!! The keyboard, the sketches, the Motor Oil sign, the shirts and scarves hanging on corners, the empty coffee cups—all of it speaks to his gentle nature and the way he lives such a quiet, unpretentious life. His apartment is a beautiful reflection of his character. Also, I would move in with him at the drop of a hat.
Anyway, that’s my analysis of the screencaps I have of Eddie’s apartment!! Someday I’ll have some screencaps from the FBI agents scene and be able to analyze those as well, but I hope y’all enjoyed reading this and getting a glimpse at some of the unique features of Eddie Kasalivich’s living space! :)

███ Short Introduction
Yuna Akahoshi is a first year student at U.A. High School. While she appears to be training to become a Pro Hero, she's really there to become stronger to better aid her father's organization.
███ History
At first glance, Yuna's family and story seem normal enough, albeit sad. Her father is a police dispatcher, and her mother died when Yuna was young. Yuna's childhood was, outwardly, relatively normal. When she became old enough, she took the entrance exam for U.A. and passed.
In actuality, however, Yuna's story is far less mundane. When Yuna was 3, her Quirk activated for the first time and killed her mother. Yuna was devastated, but her father saw Yuna's powerful Quirk as an opportunity. Once he and an ex-doctor friend had figured out how Yuna's Quirk worked, they exploited the acid she creates. Yuna's father is also a member of a crime ring called the Cobalt Alliance, and primarily functioned as an informant. However, after figuring out how to contain Yuna's acid, he began to collect it and sell it to his boss to use on enemies.
Later on, when Yuna was a little older, she was formally introduced to the Cobalt Alliance and was accepted as a de facto member, though she was still far too young to be officially considered such. The boss was particularly fond of her, and treated her like his daughter. Her acid continued to be used for the group's dirty work, and Yuna was kept mostly in the dark about the Alliance's doings.
While she continued to be treated like a princess by most, she desperately wanted her father to treat her as more than a science project. So she came up with a plan to supposedly earn her father's love. She decided to attend a hero school and receive top of the line training so that she could be of greater use to him and her new family. She presented this plan to her father and his boss, was given the go-ahead, and took the U.A. and Shiketsu exams. She passed both, and opted for U.A. as it was a bit closer.
◣ A p p e a r a n c e ◥
███ Appearance
Yuna is a curvy young woman of about average height. She has pale green-grey skin, large blue eyes, and medium length teal hair. Her hair has a notably shiny appearance, and seems to give of a very faint light, similar to glow-in-the-dark toys. At school, Yuna wears the U.A. girls' uniform without the blazer. She also usually wears ankle socks. Yuna's casual attire consists mostly of crop tops, leather or denim jackets, shorts, and canvas shoes. In the colder months, she wears normal pants and shirts, which often have pop culture references. Yuna's hero costume consists of an electric blue, high-collared, sleeveless top, matching shorts, white belt, and ankle boots. The costume is lined with material that can resist her acid. In the winter, she wears a jacket and leggings with insulation, but leaves her midriff bare.
███ Personality
Yuna is quite extroverted and very cheerful. She loves to make jokes and thrives on attention. Her cheeriness and apparent genuineness makes her rather endearing, and she can befriend almost anyone. Her high amounts of energy couples well with her natural curiosity and spontaneity. Being friends with her is an adventure and not for the faint of heart. She often goes out of her way to make her loved ones happy, including buying random gifts for those she's close to, though she rarely, if ever, displays physical affection. However, she makes up for it in being very supportive. Yuna is outwardly quite confident when it comes to using her Quirk or in being a leader. She has a natural talent for taking charge and getting people to do things. However, strategy isn't her strong suit, and she has a tendency to throw herself or others into difficult situations. Underneath Yuna's extroverted exterior, she's incredibly insecure. Though she's very charming and has little trouble getting people to like her, she often wonders whether or not they actually like her, or if they're only being kind. When it comes to the Alliance, she wonders if they only treat her the way they do because of her Quirk. While she hides it well, Yuna is desperate for love and physical contact, but has a skewed perception of the former. Part of her still believes that love is conditional and dependent on her actions and behavior, hence her eagerness to please, even to her own detriment. She finds the idea of being abandoned by her friends and family terrifying, and would do anything to prevent it. Yuna's morals are skewed from having been raised by a villain organization. She sees nothing wrong with hurting people who have wronged her. Though she does not explicitly enjoy causing people harm, she isn't repulsed by it either.

Overall Abilities: Yuna has a notable understanding of the human body, and is relatively good at martial arts.
███ Quirk
Acid Touch: Yuna can create a powerful acid on any exposed skin. This acid can burn through most materials, making it incredibly destructive and deadly in applied correctly. By creating large amounts of acid, she can make it accumulate and drip off of her, similarly to sweat. She can't create acid on covered skin, and must stay well hydrated in order to use her Quirk for long amounts of time. Additionally, her Quirk is less effective in cold climates and takes more effort to use.

███ Trivia
Yuna's first and last names mean "beautiful evening" and "red star", respectively.
She met Himiko by happenstance and the two became fast friends, and Himiko is one of the few people Yuna lets her guard down around. Whether or not that's a good idea or not remains to be seen.
She's demisexual-biromantic.
She initially was meant to be more cold and calculating, similar to Azula (Avatar: The Last Airbender), but that idea ended up being scrapped.

Freckles decorate her skin, concentrated on her cheeks and shoulders and collar bones. Heavy mahogany-tinted curls tumble to the middle of her back. An elaborate tattoo of architecture-inspired curves and diamond-tipped spires marks the outside of her right thigh from hip to knee in soft black ink.
Despite her no-nonsense demeanor, she's often caught smiling or laughing, and dresses in the wild colors and patchwork mix of fabric common to flower children and carnival followers. She sports a substantial iridescent topaz ring on her left hand, stacked atop a diamond-set wedding band.
History: - She's a known performer for the Succulent Tart troupe and spotted more and more often at charity events.
- Elves in Lordaeron at the time of the fall of the city may have seen her before.
- Frequenters of traveling shows and carnivals might have spotted her performing aerial rope acrobatics and dances, as well as acting as a knife thrower's assistant in her younger years.
Those actually involved in the carnival circuit have probably heard rumors of her as a tramp who sleeps with patrons and steals their money, an unreliable dreamer who skips performances whenever she feels like it, or a cold-hearted maneater with a taste for rich men.

I said I'd grow some self control and not ask too many questions BUT..... this is NSFW / lime a little : the boys' favourite types of lingerie with an s/o who enjoys wearing it? (We know Paps would die for stockings but I personally need deets on what MalIMEANT ON WHAT EVERYONE ELSE likes.) Toodles ~ !
In spiteful defiance of tumblr’s anti-sex/nudity/female-presenting-nipples stance, I must answer this ask.
…but I will put it under a cut for safety, juuuust in case there are some minor eyes that need protecting from the lewdness of verbally-described underwear. ;3
Sans (Undertale): The sexiest thing his partner can wear to bed for him is a baggy, old t-shirt, the more well-loved and form-obscuring the garment, the better. See, Sans has…a bit of a comfort kink… meaning if his s/o is casual and comfy and doesn’t really care what they look like in front of him, that’s so hot, stars, he loves ‘em so much…! It’s super domestic, but it really revs his engine, anyway– or maybe because of it.
Papyrus (Undertale): He appreciates the classics when it comes to lingerie! Teddies and babydolls, with sheer, mesh-type fabrics because he likes getting to see the silhouette of his s/o’s body underneath. Can’t go wrong with bright colors or fun patterns, either, he loves that kinda thing!
Sky (Underswap Sans): Lace. Lacy anything, he’s not picky, he is just totally captivated by the peek of his s/o’s skin through delicate embroidery. Whatever shade his s/o’s skin is, he’ll favor the polar opposite in colors for their fancy underthings (dark colors if pale, light ones if dark, etc). He just really likes the contrast.
Paps (Underswap Papyrus): Yeah, you nailed him, he’s a stockings kinda guy– any outfit with nylons, thigh-highs, or fancy socks and his s/o has him hook, line, and sinker. He likes sheer fabrics, but he ain’t gonna say no to opaque either if his s/o pulled something sexy on just for him. He’s also really into garter belts, they slay him every time.
Jasper (Underfell Sans): Something about robes just really entices him. Short, long, satin, sheer, it doesn’t matter, whatever his s/o is comfortable wearing. The appeal is probably in getting to tug open the tie and watch it fall off of them, easy as pie, like he’s opening the world’s sexiest present.
Pyre (Underfell Papyrus): Strappy things, not for holding the garment up, just for decoration, criss-crossing all over his s/o’s body with the occasional metal ring or buckle. He likes the way it frames their figure, and the more harness-looking garments add an element of unspoken ownership that he finds very erotic. It doesn’t have to be leather or latex, but… well, he’s definitely a fan of the shinier things in life, so it’s a plus if it is!
Mal (Swapfell Sans): He’s a tad old school, he likes corsets and bustiers. They don’t show as much skin as some of the skimpier lingerie out there, but he thinks it’s a classier look to leave something to the imagination… and it’s not as if he isn’t just going to peel his s/o out of it entirely in short order. Anything the color of his magic is particularly enticing for him, but he won’t turn his nasal ridge up at other shades.
Rus (Swapfell Papyrus): Long and flowing things catch his eye-socket like nothing else, especially if it’s a shiny material like satin or silk. If it swooshes around his s/o when they turn or flutters a little in the breeze from an open window, they have 100% of his attention the moment he sees them. He’s not particularly fussed about color, but if it complements his s/o’s natural tones in some way, all the better.
Slate (Horrortale Sans): Ruffles. Ruffles and frilly things are his weak spot, especially in pastel colors. If you’ve ever seen some lingerie that made you think, “Oh, cute!” before, “Ooh, sexy!” then he probably adores it. He also has a fondness for novelty or funny underwear, so if his s/o ever wanted to try on that lingerie set with the cat-shaped boob-window, that would be incredible…and it would probably get a laugh and a heart-eye out of him.
Papy (Horrortale): For him, there’s no outfit in the world that could possibly be any sexier than his s/o’s bare-naked self. It may seem a little boring, but he’s actually just very excited– emotionally and sensually– that they’re willing to be so open and exposed with him in an intimate moment, and it should go without saying that he considers getting to see their body a special treat all by itself. It’s a two-in-one!
…but really!
If his s/o is willing to put on something special in the bedroom for him, just to try and make him happy, every single one of the guys would love that more than any particular garment their s/o picked out. ;3

[para] blaine and kurt’s fight club
characters → @happilyeveranders, @hautekurture
location → nyada campus, new york
timeframe → dec. 10, 2017 morning
summary → blaine wants to learn how to fight to protect the boy he loves. kurt isn’t that boy, and wanted to be. however he knows he can’t be, so it’s time to give up, isn’t it.
notes → violence, blood, drowning mention.
Kurt was waiting for Blaine to be finished changing into the outfit he had prepared for Blaine. Even if Kurt was literally helping Blaine win over some other boy, and he was trying his best to give up on ever having Blaine like him back that way, Kurt could at least enjoy the eye candy that would be Blaine Anderson and sweat. It’s the little things that Kurt was living for now. Pathetic is what he would have called himself last year. Kurt tapped his feet, his black Reebok Combat Noble trainers were snug against his toes. He next fixed the sleeves of his dark blue Fila sports jacket, and fidgeted. Kurt picked through the one of the holes of his Army of Me distressed fitted T-shirt, and then stretched down to his toes, pulling down the ends of his dark blue Puma ribbed detail sweatpants.
Blaine’s outfit was already coming together in Kurt’s mind’s eye. He had put together a white Puma long-line vest top, covered by a mesh lace see through jacket in black, and a Plein Sport gray jogging shorts. He had gotten Blaine the same type of shoes, in an alternate sandstone and ash variety, because that little pop of color read Blaine to him.
They were going to do something easy. It was the basics of boxing. Kurt didn’t want to teach Blaine how to handle sais, and Blaine himself was used to fencing anyhow so in the case Blaine lost his weapon, he could find these moves useful so that he could avoid the worst of injuries. Kurt’s head throbbed when he remembered the underwater cave again and how Kurt had failed to share his air mask with Blaine. Blaine could have drowned and died. Kurt stretched up and looked once more at the boxing equipment he rented from the stadium’s equipment shed. Kurt wasn’t the best boxer however there was YouTube to fill in the places he was weak at. As long as Blaine didn’t know that Kurt was taking the time to study and learn the moves in preparation of this Rocky parody training montage, Kurt could live with how embarrassing he was behaving just to hang out with Blaine more.
Blaine arrives to the training room, a faint blush on his face at the rather self-conscious clothing he’s attired in. But hey, it’s from Kurt’s expert suggestion, so who is Blaine to question mesh... right? “Alright, let’s start -- hey, why are you wearing that?” It’s a mixture of curiosity and now ensuing embarrassment and Blaine’s hands draw themselves protectively across his chest with folded arms, trying to vehemently to keep both warm in the sheer outfit and cool down from his flaming sense of “what-have-I-gotten-myself-into-figuratively-and-literally.”
Kurt replied easily. “Because I’m your trainer, Blaine. I thought you were all about Rocky. We’re living your training montage fantasy. Come here.” Kurt picked up some handwraps from the pile of equipment next to him. “Let me show you how to properly wrap your hands. Hands are the most important things we have.” As Kurt brought his eyes back to Blaine, he smiled with selfish pleasure. Kurt very much outdone himself with styling Blaine. I should create a lookbook for this. k.e. hummel collection, featuring Blaine Anderson. We could run a limited magazine print through L’Homme. It’ll sell fast, become a rarefied and iconic collaboration, like Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama. Kurt thought as he unraveled a length of the wrap.
Blaine can’t argue with that logic. “Oh! Does that mean you’re the Mickey Goldmill to my Rocky Balboa?” His eyes shine with the eagerness that they get to be recreating a Commons Classic Film™. Blaine bounds over, presenting his hands for Kurt’s scrutiny. He nods in agreement to Kurt’s declaration; the hands are important. Blaine himself has taken utmost care for his own hands as well, considering the fingerings he’s learned over the years for piano, guitar, and other strings like the violin and its extended instrumental family. “What will we do next? Put on the gloves? Do some boxing with the bag?” Blaine already imagines himself doing sky uppercuts and spinning kicks; he’ll be the next Punch-Out character!
Kurt ‘s hairs on the back of his neck rose when his and Blaine’s fingers met. It felt so unreal how the tiniest of touches gave Kurt shivers that lasted throughout the day. Blaine’s hands were fine things. He has piano fingers with calluses where he must have worn them out playing guitar or something, Kurt thought.  Kurt wrapped the cloth once around Blaine’s palm. It went under and over. Kurt wanted to do the same. Don’t forget this isn’t for you. It’s for someone else. Kurt reminded himself and killed his own vibe. He was the party pooper all the time including for himself. At Blaine’s random comparison, Kurt gave Blaine a blank stare. “What. No. First of all. How dare you. Why would I be Mickey Goldmill? Have you seen Mickey Goldmill? I’m naturally Adrian Pennino. And before you ask why I know characters from Rocky, my dad is a blue collar white man living in Ohio. Of course I know Rocky. Secondly, no. We’re doing this.” Kurt smacked Blaine’s wrapped hands away with more force than necessary. You’re his friend. Don’t hold his hands longer than he needs to. Kurt picked up and held a jump rope in the space between Blaine and himself. “Warm up first, Blaine.”
Blaine feels a coziness in his shoulders as he raises his hands to chest level for Kurt to apply the wraps. He’s focused on how Kurt’s fingers deftly weave the wrap around Blaine’s own skin, and makes notes on what to do. When Kurt’s hold lingers on him whilst Kurt lectures him about their assigned fictional roles, Blaine can’t help but chuckle sheepishly and have a warmth spread across his face evenly. He wants to reply that Adrian Pennino is the love interest for Rocky, but his wrapped hands are discarded aside and the sudden chill from the air makes Blaine involuntarily long for contact again. He gulps. It’s just a bodily impulse to be warm. He shakes his head and takes the ends of the rope, casting his gaze over to the ground. He says, quickly, “Right. Warm up first...!” The rope opens as Blaine’s hands pull apart to his sides. Blaine gives Kurt a beaming smile, “This is going to be great, Kurt. Boxing, from my understanding and expectation, is perhaps the most challenging of all sports. Requires speed, agility, finesse, power, endurance, and ultimate mental fortitude.” Blaine steps forward and readies the rope -- and away he goes in a sharp tap against the floor. Jump rope is actually simple for someone like Blaine, who’s characteristically light on his feet. The speed is whirring the rope as Blaine talks in ease, “Boxing pushes you like no other, pitting the finest and highest level athletes against each other... A sweet science of measured approach, but at the same time, a raw and brutal sport of extreme physicality and bestial natures!” The rope smacks repeatedly against the ground like a staccato rhythm -- on speed. Taktaktaktaktaktak! Blaine’s face has no strain, and only a single bead of sweat starts to form at his temples. “Boxing takes you further than you ever thought possible for yourself. Boxing makes you more alive than ever, more humble in defeat, and most glorious in victory, revealing the true fighter deep inside every single one of us... What do you think, Kurt?”
Kurt was shocked at Blaine’s crazy speed. No one is pressing a fast-forward button here no? I’m fast however not as fast as Blaine. This is troubling if he’s also the type to finish fast too. Kurt put up his hand to slow Blaine down. Blaine had great burst energy but how long could Blaine last? Kurt needed to test out Blaine’s endurance. How much could Blaine take before he was the point of collapse. “Ok, you dork.” Kurt replied not knowing how to react to Blaine’s very poetic ideas about boxing. It’s two people hitting each other in the face, Blaine. Kurt hid an amused smile on his face as he ordered Blaine around, pointing at him. “That’s enough. Now run around the training space two times. Don’t sprint too hard, it’s not a race. Do it so your muscles are warmed up. Let’s stretch afterwards.” Kurt pulled out his phone from his jacket’s pocket to measure the time.
Blaine “Yeah, sure!” Blaine does as he told, running at a pace that seemed to suit Kurt’s strict criteria. He manages to flash a smile at Kurt as he turns a lap, and then jogs back up to Kurt. Pulling his arms over his head and then bending down to touch his toes, Blaine says to Kurt, “So, um, thanks for helping me do this. I know we’ve had some hard conversations in the past, and I know how much you hate being pulled back into the conversation about Lusus Naturae... but I appreciate you and this so much, Kurt. You’re... you’re a really good guy.” He lifts his head up to look at Kurt. He really means what he says; Kurt has changed so much.
Kurt “No, I’m not, Blaine.” Kurt’s face darkened as he helped Blaine stretch himself more. He did not note how flexible was Blaine was. He did not not lie to himself at the moment. Kurt thought it was enough when they stretched for the next ten minutes. They were feeling warm. He said, “Trust me, this is helping me as much as it’s helping you in a way. Please don’t ask me why, we should move onto the next thing. Gloves. Put them on. I’ll put mine on too.” He handed Blaine a pair of boxing gloves and then started putting on his own.
Blaine notes the way Kurt’s eyes seem to overcast and smiles to brighten up the situation. Take it on Blaine to keep saying the wrong things to Kurt. Blaine agrees, “...Alright, let’s move on. Oh, sure!” The boxing gloves are leather-like material and shiny black. Blaine covers his wrapped fists in them with Kurt’s help. Colliding the gloves together with several thumps, Blaine grins mischievously at Kurt. “Snug as a bug. Hahaha, Commons idioms. Wait, you’re putting them on too, I thought we’re only doing bagwork?” Blaine raises an eyebrow at the white boxing gloves Kurt is slipping on.
Kurt “Blaine, fighting anyone straight-on is 90% mental. In close combat, you only a fraction of a second before it’s your neck or theirs, your blood or their blood.” He said and gave Blaine a measured, calculating stare. He raised his fists into a stance and stepped toward Blaine. “Responsive training is more important than drill training. But I’m not going to fight you. I don’t think I’m ready to do that. I’m going to teach you the stance and footwork.” Kurt pivoted so that he was next to Blaine instead of facing him. He couldn’t fight Blaine in combat again. No, not like last time. Having Blaine’s blood on his hands was a deeply traumatic experience.
Blaine instantly finds himself in a tense state when he sees that look in Kurt’s eyes. It’s hungry. Blaine wants to come closer yet draw away from the nakedness that stare brings out of him. Good thing Kurt’s by his side now and Blaine can refocus on something else, even if it’s unpalatable. He murmurs with a squiggled lip, “My blood or theirs... ah, of course.” Blaine glances over and tries to mimic Kurt’s pose. “I don’t want to fight you, either, hahaha... we all saw how that went. Right, footwork! I’m going to float like a butterfly, sting like a bee!”
Kurt snorted at Blaine’s dorkiness. It was cute however. Kurt used his own leg to lightly hook against Blaine’s and nudged it into the position he wanted. Kurt didn’t have to do it that way, however he was trying to be casual about moving Blaine around. “Your front toe and back heel are on this center line. Dominant hand back... ” He helped Blaine equally distribute his weight evenly across both legs. The knees had to be slightly bent and the feet had to be at a diagonal, wider than a shoulder width apart. “Raise that back heel, babe. Blaine.” Kurt blushed as he accidentally called Blaine a pet name and made up for it by streaming more commands. “Elbows down! Hands up! Head behind your gloves, put that chin slightly down--I said slightly! Your eyes see over the gloves, don’t forget to relax, breathe, ok, perfect.” Kurt left Blaine alone and got into his own stance. Kurt showed Blaine an example of a left jab. “Now punch like me, don’t only use your fist but swing your body into it.”
Blaine is pretty sure he heard Kurt call him something else, but his concentration departs to acquaint itself with other orders, namely the positioning of the boxing stance. Blaine angles his limbs as instructed, feeling solid as he shifts his weight between his two feet. His gloves rise to meet just the underside of his line of sight, and he gives Kurt a small nod before he throws an example punch. His fist swings with a rush of air, copying Kurt’s motion though it’s slightly shaky. “Like this?” Blaine asks, relaxing out of the pose.
Kurt sighed when he heard Blaine’s glove whiz by. There was hesitancy in there. He faced Blaine. “No, with intent. Like you want to kill. Exhale as you throw the punch. Tighten your fist and body muscles right at the impact.” Kurt pushed his glove against Blaine’s. “Release your hand back to you.” He said and explained more of the boxing footwork. He taught Blaine how to pivot and once Kurt felt satisfied, he moved away from Blaine to look over the overall form.
Blaine ‘s shoulders stiffen at the command. “But... I don’t want to kill,” he replies, resolute. He does what Kurt asks but it doesn’t feel right to him.
Kurt could feel the weakness in Blaine’s punch. He scolded Blaine, “The reality is that by living we’re destined to kill. The faster you learn that, the easier it is to live. Move your foot there. Punch.” He held a hand out for Blaine to hit, ready to pull it away if Blaine wasn’t paying attention.
Blaine replies, “If living an easy life means not caring about anything or anyone, and just living through the motions, I don’t think it’s for me.” Blaine punched the target, but it was too slow. Kurt whizzed by him.
Kurt sighed. Why did he have to... Kurt shook off his weakening feelings. He had to be firm. He took on an instructive voice. “The jab is the most important punch in boxing. It can attack, defend, counter, score points, make space, and many other things. It’s your longest, fastest punch, uses the least energy, and leaves you the least vulnerable.” He then showed Blaine the right cross, the left hook, and the left uppercut. When he was done, Kurt was sweating at the temples too. He was overexerting himself, wasn’t he? All for someone who didn’t love him back. Pathetic.
Blaine fell back to the ground on his butt, tired out after all the different moves. He didn’t get any hit in on Kurt but he dodged a lot of the blows too. All in all, he felt... good, like he had achieved something of his own means, and didn’t feel helpless. Weakness wasn’t uncommon to Blaine. The thing that got him was the helplessness, the feeling he was no use to anyone. However, with Kurt training him, Blaine felt weight behind his clenched fists. He got up, legs shaky, and clapped Kurt on the shoulder before drawing the other student into a hug. “Thank you, Kurt. You’ve taught me something so valuable. Thanks for taking your time out to help me.”
Kurt was quietly enjoying the view of sweaty Blaine when all of a sudden Blaine brought him in a hug. Oh. This is the worst.  Kurt’s heart pounded as Blaine spoke. “You’re welcome, we should do this another time. Practice makes perfect.” Kurt’s voice cracked. “Any time. I have time for you any time.”
God, when did he become this person.

What to Wear With Leggings & 20 Style Tips on How to Wear Them
Leggings Style Guide
Leggings are one of the most comfortable items you can wear, but this go-to wardrobe staple has its detractors. It can be challenging to decipher at times how to wear leggings and what to wear with leggings. I love leggings, and I’m here to help you style this much-loved staple into stylish leggings outfits for fall, winter, and spring.
Leggings have been around for centuries; they have been made of various materials and used for different purposes. They have been adapted, updated, and transformed into a closet staple and are still holding steady. They may change material and colors from season to season, but you can wear classic black leggings every year.
So if you have been hesitant to try leggings, criticized for wearing leggings, or want to update your style for cooler weather, make sure you read this entire post. I’ll show you what to wear with leggings so you can put together cute leggings outfits that will take you almost anywhere you want to go.
What Are Leggings?
Before we get into what to wear with leggings, I want to clarify what I mean by leggings. I am not referring to workout leggings that you’re trying to pass off as everyday casual wear. The leggings I am talking about in this style guide are the black, sometimes black leather, or dark gray leggings that end at the ankle. These leggings are made from thicker fabric and do not extend to cover your feet.
In other blog posts, leggings are also sometimes confused with tights. Tights go from your waist to your toes and come in absolute opaque, opaque, and sheer. Tights are also more commonly worn in crazy colors, prints, and textures.
Shopping for Women’s Leggings
When shopping for leggings look for dressy leggings made of thick material, you don’t want anything that is see-through. Make sure they are soft, so they are comfortable to wear. They need to be form-fitting, so they flatter your legs and hold you together. If you purchase leggings that are too thin, you run the risk of feeling unsupported, and in turn, you will feel very uncomfortable.
Lastly, a great legging is versatile and can be worn to work, a dressy night out, or for a casual weekend with a long cardigan or tunic. Good quality leggings might cost more and you might see it as an investment but they are worth it if they fit you correctly and you can wear them for various occasions throughout the year.
Most of the time I prefer black leggings, a black legging is what I wear most of the time and what I would invest in adding to my wardrobe. Don’t drop more than $100 on leggings that you don’t know how often you will wear or that are not classic black. They are not worth it.
I own a pair of black leggings that I love, and they were only $50 from LOFT. They are the Leggings In Ponte, as of writing this they have 179 reviews with an average of 4.7 stars! Worth the price! If you want to try on a variety of leggings in one stop, I recommend going to Nordstrom.
My last shopping tip, make sure you try them on! I know it, ugh! I have to go to the store, select a handful of leggings, go to the fitting room, try each of them on! So much work, blah, blah, blah. I hear it all the time, I’ll just buy them and try them on at home, and if I don’t like them I’ll return them. NO! That never happens, you end of wasting money and with no black leggings. Try them on at the store, ask for shopping assistance! The Nordstrom department assistants are more than happy to help you put together outfits. They help you see what works and what doesn’t and what to wear with leggings.
How to Wear Leggings
I want to review some of the Do’s when it comes to wearing leggings. These style tips are general tips to follow. Sometimes when the outfit looks very nice, these style tips can be broken. (As you’ll see in the winter leggings outfits example below). Use these as guidelines; they are meant to help you decide on the types of leggings to wear, and how to wear them, so you look and feel your best.
Again, these are style tips that I use because I always want to look stylish you don’t HAVE to follow them, but it’s advisable.
1. DO wear proper-fitting leggings 2. DO stick to dark colored leggings. 3. DO stick to solid colors. 4. DO keep it classy, not sexy—unless you are going for sexy, of course. (Read this post on how to dress classy) 5. DO wear long tops or sweaters that cover your derriere. 6. DO wear the right underwear with leggings. 7. DO layer your tops to achieve balance. 8. DO wear leggings with the right shoes. 9. DO make sure your leggings are the right length. 10. DO make sure they are comfortable!
How Not to Wear Leggings
Along with the Do’s, there are Dont’s. These are the things you should avoid when wearing leggings. Again, these are some general guidelines.
11. DON’T wear crazy patterned leggings. 12. DON’T wear bright neon-colored leggings. 13. DON’T wear shiny spandex leggings 14. DON’T wear faded leggings, in any color. 15. DON’T wear leggings that are too loose or stretched out. 16. DON’T wear leggings that are too thin or see-through. 17. DON’T wear leggings to the office unless you dress them up. 18. DON’T wear leggings with holes, rips, or loose seams. 19. DON’T wear leggings with only a tight top 20. DON’T ever wear white leggings unless you’re wearing a long shirt, tunic or dress with them.
Above all, make sure you feel comfortable in leggings, or don’t wear them at all. Confidence is key!
What to Wear With Leggings
Now that you know what leggings are, the best leggings to shop, and some leggings style tips let’s review several stylish ways you can wear leggings.
Besides being comfortable, leggings are pretty versatile. You can wear leggings with a long tunic in the spring, with a cardigan for the fall and a coat for the winter. Switch up the shoes you wear with leggings from flats to heels and they go from casual to dressy. Let’s go over what shirts, sweaters, dresses, and shoes to wear with leggings.
Shirts to Wear With Leggings
The best shirts to wear with leggings are long ones. They cover your behind and make your outfit a little more presentable and elegant. Like mentioned in the style tips above, avoid shirts that are too tight, too short, or too sexy.
A button down, slightly longer shirt is an excellent example of a shirt you can pair with leggings to create a cute outfit for spring. Like the polka dot shirt, I’m wearing in the outfit below.
In the springtime, the best shirts to wear with leggings are light flowy shirts. They create a great balance between the form-fitting leggings and a lightweight shirt. (Do you want to learn more about what I mean by “balance” read How to Look Stylish Everyday – Your 5 Step Checklist). Look for long shirts made from silk, 100% polyester, or rayon fabrics. Also, since most likely you are wearing black leggings, add color, patterns, and dimension to your leggings outfit with the shirt! Have fun and pair your leggings with a with paisley, floral, striped or polka dot shirt.
For a dressy or business casual outfit wear a long shirt with black leggings. This is an example of a slightly long shirt you can wear with leggings. The black polka dots add some pattern and fun to this leggings outfit. I added a thick black belt to accentuate my waist because the shirt was too loose and flowy without the belt. A pair or burgundy pumps and forest green bag complete this outfit. This is an example of how you can dress up a pair of leggings to look chic.
For casual days or a road trip, you could wear leggings with a chambray shirt, and a comfortable boyfriend tee. Complete this casual leggings outfit with a pair of flats, booties or boots, and you are good to go. This combination is my preferred outfit for looking stylish on a road trip. Leggings are the most comfortable and stylish option for long hours of sitting. The layers allow me to peel off or add to, depending on the temperature in the car or outside.
Another popular combination is pairing a tunic with leggings. I don’t prefer this combination for me because it looks bulky and the tunic just takes over the outfit. I’ve seen plenty of tunic and leggings outfits and most of the time they look sloppy and too big. It might be because the tunic ends at mid-thigh, which is the thickest part of your leg, so the tunic only accentuates that.
Long Sweaters to Wear with Leggings
Long sweaters and leggings are one of my favorite combinations! This is not only an easy outfit combination but a stylish one too! Pair your black leggings with a gray, white, colored or even off white patterned cardigan like in the outfit example below.
A few style tips to keep in mind when putting together this outfit combination. For the shirt you wear under your long sweater have fun and play with colors and patterns. Since you are adding a long sweater over your shirt, you can wear a form fitting or shorter shirt. You don’t want the shirt you wear under your sweater be the same length as your sweater, that will look too bulky and out of balance. Wear a shirt that is shorter, maybe ending at your hips or slightly higher.
When pairing your leggings with a long sweater wear a simple shirt, meaning no button downs or anything with too much texture. The simplicity of the style of the shirt keeps your leggings outfit from being too much or too bulky. Think clean lines and correct proportions.
Pairing leggings with an oversized cardigan and high boots are classic for fall, not to mention warm and comfy. The bulk of the sweater offsets the narrowness of the leggings. I opted for a patterned cardigan that brought the eye up and paired it with a mustard tee to add a splash of color. This outfit is stylish, cozy, and my favorite way to wear leggings in the colder months.
Dress with Leggings
A dress with leggings is very different from a dress with tights. I love pairing a dress with tights in the fall and winter. Just imagine, a forest green sweater dress with black tights and knee boots. I love it!! But I don’t wear a dress with leggings.
Remember the distinction I made above between tights and leggings; they are different. If you are considering wearing leggings with a dress, depending on the entire outfit and the occasion I would recommend to switch them out for tights and see what you think.
Shoes to Wear With Leggings
Leggings are, first and foremost, casual wear, so that means that you can stick to more casual shoe options: flats, sneakers, converse, low ankle boots and the like.
In the spring, a beautiful flat is a good casual option to wear with leggings. The falts can be a point or round toe, embellished or patterned (gotta love a good leopard print!). But do not wear flats that have an ankle strap or multiple straps that wind up the ankle. The strap will wrap around the end of your leggings creating a weird, clumsy look.
Boots and booties pair perfectly with leggings for cold weather, rain, and snow. The boots you wear with leggings can be flat, wedged, or heeled. If you are going to the snow, you can wear snow boots with your leggings outfit. And as you can see in the outfit example in this post, you can wear black leggings with brown boots!
If you need to dress up your leggings pair them with heels! A leggings outfit for a night out or work call for pumps. Black pointy toe black heels work for both day and night and create a classic outfit.
Best Leggings for Work
As you can guess by now the best leggings for work, are high quality, thick black ones! I know, you’re probably thinking enough with the black tights I get it, but especially under this topic, I should reiterate it one last time. Black leggings are the best leggings for work!
A solid black pair of high-quality leggings can mimic a skinny pant and be appropriate for work with the right fitted blazer. In this outfit, I kept a black-and-white theme. I paired black leggings with a white blazer and a large white scarf. This is an example of a no-nonsense outfit; I kept it classy and stylish to make it work appropriate.
Pairing your leggings with a button-down is one of the simplest ways to pull them off. This look can go casual or slightly dressy, depending on the shirt, shoes, and accessories. Make sure that the shirt is long enough to cover your behind, and you can belt it to keep your shape as I did in this photo. Since a button-down is a classic shirt, keep the leggings classic as well and stick with black, chocolate brown or a dark navy, especially if you are wearing them to work.
When putting together a leggings outfit for work your shirt can be solid in a light color, or you can go with a print like this black-and-white polka dot. Note: If you are going to wear a patterned blouse, make sure that it’s a subtle and classic pattern that matches the outfit. You could also opt to wear a long-sleeve printed button-down shirt with your leggings and add a blazer and pumps for a stylish work outfit.
