MUTUALS POWERPOINT NIGHT: MULTI EDITION
HELLO gamers! it is i, tumblr user xavier multi-lefaiye, here to present my very good powerpoint to y'all. i am posting this early because i like being early <3
as some of you may know, i had a few other ideas for powerpoints, one of which i finished before going "hm i wanna do something else" and doing something else.
as i am sure you are all very well-aware by this point, my biggest fixation is tales from the gas station. so i decided to do my powerpoint about that instead of explaining in-depth how i'd rewrite every episode of notable bad horror tv series lost tapes. you're welcome <3
tagging the participants real quick (if i forgot you i prommy i am just forgetful and it was not intentional, ilsym): @wherearetheplants @nicola-writes @cnnamonrolls @abouttogetshellshocked @approximately20eggs @yourlocal-lichen @astralrunic
anyway! my slides will be under the cut, but if you'd rather see the actual presentation, here's the google slides link: [link]
comments are enabled but no one is obligated to leave any for any reason! i mainly enabled them because i may send this to some discord folks later who enjoy leaving silly comments.
anyway let's gooooo

what the fuck is this series?
Tales From the Gas Station started as a creepypasta series on the NoSleep subreddit
Then it kinda blew up and became popular enough that the creator reworked and rewrote the series to make them into books
There are four books total and also a seven-part comic series in the works!
Essentially, this is a horror-comedy series centering around a character named Jack Townsend, the minimum-wage employee of a shitty gas station at the edge of an even shittier small town, which also happens to be the epicenter of many supernatural happenings

I haven’t finished reading the full series yet because [redacted] redacted] [redacted]
But regardless I’m MOSTLY basing this presentation on book one to avoid spoiling later events for people who wanna check this out themselves :)
This is not an exhaustive presentation unfortunately.

Content warnings!!
So I’m not gonna go into the triggering stuff in this presentation, but if you wanna check out TFTGS yourself I wanna give a heads up where I can.
I also will try to give context to things where I can if I feel that it’s needed, but yeah point is I want to make sure anyone who checks this out knows what they’re getting into.
Anyway full list of warnings on the next slide let’s go

Okay here are the actual content warnings
There are a few side/minor characters who are really blatantly racist and xenophobic b/c TFTGS does not shy away from the fact that it takes place in a small, shitty southern US town--these characters are condemned by the narrative and clearly The Assholes but still, tread lightly.
Casual ableism, especially towards Jack, including the use of the r-slur (once again also condemned by the narrative but still)
Lots and lots of violence and murder
Suicide
Lots of talk of terminal illness
Drug use
Cults
Psychiatric abuse
SOME graphic depictions of blood n’ gore n’ corpses, but the gore is never the focus thankfully

The universe’s favorite punching bag
He’s got that autistic tboy swag and I love him so so much
Chronically ill since he was in high school
Just fucking vibing
Frequently gets insulted and beaten down and it stresses me out but he gets less and less chill about it as the series goes on. I think he deserves to throw rocks at people
I relate to him a lot and idk what that says about me <3

ANTONIO / TONY
So I’m not quite sure how to talk about him without spoiling a bunch of shit
Ah well
One of Jack’s coworkers and his best friend in volume 1!
Kind of a sweet, anxious guy who’s just trying his best
What’s a little accidental murder between besties??? It was an accident, it’s fine.
King of being a really good and trustworthy guy with nothing else going on
I love him genuinely

JERRY PASCAL
Jack’s emotional support human and bestie
Kind of like a puppy, except that puppy does a lot of illegal shit and kills people
Former member of a murderous cult called Mathmetism
Referred to as Marlboro for most of the first book b/c Jack doesn’t know his name
Big stupid energy but also the smartest bitch in the room. Depends on what would be funnier
Would fight god in the parking lot
If he’s being serious, something is wrong

SPENCER MIDDLETON
MY POOR LITTLE MEOW MEOW
Too sexy and evil for gender
My design for him is very far from canon and I am aware of that. However I think everyone should draw him as a long-haired prettyboy <3
He’s just so babygirl <3
I hate him and love him in equal measure
God let him live another day and that’s everyone else’s problem
Anyway I just think he’s neat and should do more crimes

AMELIA O'BRIEN
Cop (unfortunate)
I have very mixed feelings about her as a character ngl and most of them tie back to her being a cop
I do think she’s interesting though
Wish she’d cool it with the casual ableism though <3 Like I know it’s not just her but goddamn
Anyway I guess she counts as a #girlboss
One time one of my friends compared her to the gay cop in Onward and I can’t stop thinking about it because God So True

Sweetest girl in the world
Technically doesn’t show up until volume 2 but I love her so much so I’m talking about her here
Newest hire at the gas station and completely unprepared for The Horrors
She adapts pretty quickly though
Has a really huge really obvious crush on Jack and tbh I think it’s cute
Unfortunately he is oblivious
Besides that though she’s a very fun character and makes me very happy :)

MISC. CHARACTERS I'M NOT MAKING PICREWS OF
Kieffer - the world’s most killable man! A local politician and, arguably, part of the reason everything goes to shit.
Benjamin - a monster hunter who’s convinced that there’s something evil in the gas station. And he’s gonna kill it.
Vanessa Riggin - another employee at the gas station who unfortunately disappears during volume 1.
Brother Riley - local bookstore owner and ray of sunshine! Got basically excommunicated for teaching kids to read
Dr. V - psychiatric abuse: the character! (Jack’s psychiatrist who doesn’t seem particularly interested in actually helping him)
Deputy Tom - cop (unfortunate), but also Jack’s kinda father figure.
Agents Brick Roscoe - idk how to even get into this so I simply will not.

Volume 1 Premise
The premise of volume 1 centers quite a bit around Kieffer, a local politician.
Picture this: your best friend pulls you aside at work and asks you about the guy who just came into the store. After you explain who the guy is, your friend says, “No, that can’t be him. I killed him last night. His body is in my trunk.”
That’s the day Jack is having.
A wild series of events follows, made worse when Jack starts documenting his experiences in a blog to keep himself sane
People start going missing! Other people start dying! Kieffer especially starts dying!
Jack is not being paid enough to deal with any of this!

Other things about volume 1 I wanna say, minus context
I think Spencer Middleton is babygirl material and I will not be silenced b/c I am so right
There is a genuinely really clever bit of writing in volume 1 centering around Jack’s leg injury but I don’t know how to explain it without spoilers so just know I think it’s really cool
The Bathroom Cowboy is a cool dude and I think I would like to be his best friend
I think Jack should be allowed to have a nice day for once in his fucking life
Rita the raccoon is a girlboss
The Man in the Raincoat is so gender
Agents Brick Roscoe confuse and frighten me. They’re also really funny

Here's a quote from volume 1 that I think captures the style of comedy well
She walked up to the counter and smiled and asked, "What do you think?"
What a great question. I think a lot of things, actually. I ran through a shortlist of answers. I think people spend too much time mowing their lawns. I think Marlboro's probably dead, and I may be somewhat responsible. I think no man ever steps in the same river twice. I think that, in terms of reality, perception outweighs actuality in every case, but if I were to say something like that in this town I'd get my ass kicked for being a pretentious dick. I think Tony was too hard on 'Temple of Doom.' I think every magazine is a scam. (Why should I pay for a magazine when it's already full of advertisements?) I think forcing children to recite the pledge of allegiance is creepy, and hot dogs are not sandwiches (they are, in fact, American tacos). I think things at the gas station are getting worse and I can't explain why.

Here's a shortlist of those who realized that I — a cis woman who'd identified as heterosexual for decades of life — was in fact actually bi, long before I realized it myself recently: my sister, all my friends, my boyfriend, and the TikTok algorithm.
On TikTok, the relationship between user and algorithm is uniquely (even sometimes uncannily) intimate. An app which seemingly contains as many multitudes of life experiences and niche communities as there are people in the world, we all start in the lowest common denominator of TikTok. Straight TikTok (as it's popularly dubbed) initially bombards your For You Page with the silly pet videos and viral teen dances that folks who don't use TikTok like to condescendingly reduce it to.
Quickly, though, TikTok begins reading your soul like some sort of divine digital oracle, prying open layers of your being never before known to your own conscious mind. The more you use it, the more tailored its content becomes to your deepest specificities, to the point where you get stuff that's so relatable that it can feel like a personal attack (in the best way) or (more dangerously) even a harmful trigger from lifelong traumas.
Tumblr media
For example: I don't know what dark magic (read: privacy violations) immediately clued TikTok into the fact that I was half-Brazilian, but within days of first using it, Straight TikTok gave way to at first Portuguese-speaking then broader Latin TikTok. Feeling oddly seen (being white-passing and mostly American-raised, my Brazilian identity isn't often validated), I was liberal with the likes, knowing that engagement was the surefire way to go deeper down this identity-affirming corner of the social app.
TikTok made lots of assumptions from there, throwing me right down the boundless, beautiful, and oddest multiplicities of Alt TikTok, a counter to Straight TikTok's milquetoast mainstreamness.
Home to a wide spectrum of marginalized groups, I was giving out likes on my FYP like Oprah, smashing that heart button on every type of video: from TikTokers with disabilities, Black and Indigenous creators, political activists, body-stigma-busting fat women, and every glittering shade of the LGBTQ cornucopia. The faves were genuine, but also a way to support and help offset what I knew about the discriminatory biases in TikTok's algorithm.
My diverse range of likes started to get more specific by the minute, though. I wasn't just on general Black TikTok anymore, but Alt Cottagecore Middle-Class Black Girl TikTok (an actual label one creator gave her page's vibes). Then it was Queer Latina Roller Skating Girl TikTok, Women With Non-Hyperactive ADHD TikTok, and then a double whammy of Women Loving Women (WLW) TikTok alternating between beautiful lesbian couples and baby bisexuals.
Looking back at my history of likes, the transition from queer “ally” to “salivating simp” is almost imperceptible.
There was no one precise "aha" moment. I started getting "put a finger down" challenges that wouldn't reveal what you were putting a finger down for until the end. Then, 9-fingers deep (winkwink), I'd be congratulated for being 100% bisexual. Somewhere along the path of getting served multiple WLW Disney cosplays in a single day and even dom lesbian KinkTok roleplay — or whatever the fuck Bisexual Pirate TikTok is — deductive reasoning kind of spoke for itself.
But I will never forget the one video that was such a heat-seeking missile of a targeted attack that I was moved to finally text it to my group chat of WLW friends with a, "Wait, am I bi?" To which the overwhelming consensus was, "Magic 8 Ball says, 'Highly Likely.'"
Serendipitously posted during Pride Month, the video shows a girl shaking her head at the caption above her head, calling out confused and/or closeted queers who say shit like, "I think everyone is a LITTLE bisexual," to the tune of "Closer" by The Chainsmokers. When the lyrics land on the word "you," she points straight at the screen — at me — her finger and inquisitive look piercing my hopelessly bisexual soul like Cupid's goddamn arrow.
Oh no, the voice inside my head said, I have just been mercilessly perceived.
As someone who had, in fact, done feminist studies at a tiny liberal arts college with a gender gap of about 70 percent women, I'd of course dabbled. I've always been quick to bring up the Kinsey scale, to champion a true spectrum of sexuality, and to even declare (on multiple occasions) that I was, "straight, but would totally fuck that girl!"
Oh no, the voice inside my head returned, I've literally just been using extra words to say I was bi.
After consulting the expertise of my WLW friend group (whose mere existence, in retrospect, also should've clued me in on the flashing neon pink, purple, and blue flag of my raging bisexuality), I ran to my boyfriend to inform him of the "news."
"Yeah, baby, I know. We all know," he said kindly.
"How?!" I demanded.
Well for one, he pointed out, every time we came across a video of a hot girl while scrolling TikTok together, I'd without fail watch the whole way through, often more than once, regardless of content. (Apparently, straight girls do not tend to do this?) For another, I always breathlessly pointed out when we'd pass by a woman I found beautiful, often finding a way to send a compliment her way. ("I'm just a flirt!" I used to rationalize with a hand wave, "Obvs, I'm not actually sexually attracted to them!") Then, I guess, there were the TED Talk-like rants I'd subject him to about the thinly veiled queer relationship in Adventure Time between Princess Bubblegum and Marcelyne the Vampire Queen — which the cowards at Cartoon Network forced creators to keep as subtext!
And, well, when you lay it all out like that...
Tumblr media
But my TikTok-fueled bisexual awakening might actually speak less to the omnipotence of the app's algorithm, and more to how heteronormativity is truly one helluva drug.
Sure, TikTok bombarded me with the thirst traps of my exact type of domineering masc lady queers, who reduced me to a puddle of drool I could no longer deny. But I also recalled a pivotal moment in college when I briefly questioned my heterosexuality, only to have a lesbian friend roll her eyes and chastise me for being one of those straight girls who leads Actual Queer Women on. I figured she must know better. So I never pursued any of my lady crushes in college, which meant I never experimented much sexually, which made me conclude that I couldn't call myself bisexual if I'd never had actual sex with a woman. I also didn't really enjoy lesbian porn much, though the fact that I'd often find myself fixating on the woman during heterosexual porn should've clued me into that probably coming more from how mainstream lesbian porn is designed for straight men.
The ubiquity of heterormativity, even when unwittingly perpetrated by members of the queer community, is such an effective self-sustaining cycle. Aside from being met with queer-gating (something I've since learned bi folks often experience), I had a hard time identifying my attraction to women as genuine attraction, simply because it felt different to how I was attracted to men.
Heteronormativity is truly one helluva drug.
So much of women's sexuality — of my sexuality — can feel defined by that carnivorous kind of validation you get from men. I met no societal resistance in fully embodying and exploring my desire for men, either (which, to be clear, was and is insatiable slut levels of wanting that peen.) But in retrospect, I wonder how many men I slept with not because I was truly attracted to them, but because I got off on how much they wanted me.
My attraction to women comes with a different texture of eroticism. With women (and bare with a baby bi, here), the attraction feels more shared, more mutual, more tender rather than possessive. It's no less raw or hot or all-consuming, don't get me wrong. But for me at least, it comes more from a place of equality rather than just power play. I love the way women seem to see right through me, to know me, without us really needing to say a word.
I am still, as it turns out, a sexual submissive through-and-through, regardless of what gender my would-be partner is. But, ignorantly and unknowingly, I'd been limiting my concept of who could embody dominant sexual personas to cis men. But when TikTok sent me down that glorious rabbit hole of masc women (who know exactly what they're doing, btw), I realized my attraction was not to men, but a certain type of masculinity. It didn't matter which body or genitalia that presentation came with.
There is something about TikTok that feels particularly suited to these journeys of sexual self-discovery and, in the case of women loving women, I don't think it's just the prescient algorithm. The short-form video format lends itself to lightning bolt-like jolts of soul-bearing nakedness, with the POV camera angles bucking conventions of the male gaze, which entrenches the language of film and TV in heterosexual male desire.
In fairness to me, I'm far from the only one who missed their inner gay for a long time — only to have her pop out like a queer jack-in-the-box throughout a near year-long quarantine that led many of us to join TikTok. There was the baby bi mom, and scores of others who no longer had to publicly perform their heterosexuality during lockdown — only to realize that, hey, maybe I'm not heterosexual at all?
Flooded with video after video affirming my suspicions, reflecting my exact experiences as they happened to others, the change in my sexual identity was so normalized on TikTok that I didn't even feel like I needed to formally "come out." I thought this safe home I'd found to foster my baby bisexuality online would extend into the real world.
But I was in for a rude awakening.
Testing out my bisexuality on other platforms, casually referring to it on Twitter, posting pictures of myself decked out in a rainbow skate outfit (which I bought before realizing I was queer), I received nothing but unquestioning support and validation. Eventually, I realized I should probably let some members of my family know before they learned through one of these posts, though.
Daunted by the idea of trying to tell my Latina Catholic mother and Swiss Army veteran father (who's had a crass running joke about me being a "lesbian" ever since I first declared myself a feminist at age 12), I chose the sibling closest to me. Seeing as how gender studies was one of her majors in college too, I thought it was a shoo-in. I sent an off-handed, joke-y but serious, "btw I'm bi now!" text, believing that's all that would be needed to receive the same nonchalant acceptance I found online.
It was not.
Tumblr media
I didn't receive a response for two days. Hurt and panicked by what was potentially my first mild experience of homophobia, I called them out. They responded by insisting we need to have a phone call for such "serious" conversations. As I calmly tried to express my hurt on said call, I was told my text had been enough to make this sibling worry about my mental wellbeing. They said I should be more understanding of why it'd be hard for them to (and I'm paraphrasing) "think you were one way for twenty-eight years" before having to contend with me deciding I was now "something else."
But I wasn't "something else," I tried to explain, voice shaking. I hadn't knowingly been deceiving or hiding this part of me. I'd simply discovered a more appropriate label. But it was like we were speaking different languages. Other family members were more accepting, thankfully. There are many ways I'm exceptionally lucky, my IRL environment as supportive as Baby Bi TikTok. Namely, I'm in a loving relationship with a man who never once mistook any of it as a threat, instead giving me all the space in the world to understand this new facet of my sexuality.
I don't have it all figured out yet. But at least when someone asks if I listen to Girl in Red on social media, I know to answer with a resounding, "Yes," even though I've never listened to a single one of her songs. And for now, that's enough.

👑Princess Party ~
Another post, my friends!!!!
Over the past weekend, I was invited to a cute little “Princess Party” in Animal Crossing New Horizons. 😱🌸 It was my first time going to an island with multiple players, and so of course I was hyped and nervous!
Tumblr media
All of these pics (except for the last one) were taken by me on my Nintendo Switch, and decorated with my favorite app “Line Camera”.
So the excitement was obviously meeting new people and seeing the lovely island, worked very hard by twitter user Courtney. Very lovely person, and I was sooooo flattered to be invited to come visit her island! All the players had lovely and extravagant dresses on, and it was so nice being in an all girl group to do things with (unfortunately I don’t have many friends in real life 😭). I was late 😂 and so everyone was waiting for me before the “party” began! I was mortified! I was busy trying to grab gifts and get my dress, and drop off whatever I didn’t need before “flying” over!
Tumblr media
So the island is simply one word: gorgeous! My jaw literally dropped! Miss Courtney really worked hard on her island, and it just came out sooo amazing, I’m so jelly but happy for her regardless haha! 💕 Here I am on a girl date with one of the lovely players (I couldn’t remember all their names! 😭), in one of Courtney’s tea tables near the entrance. All of us were just “wowed” by everything we were seeing! It was like really from a princess movie! You know with the big courtyards, flowers everywhere, and elegant furniture set up!
Tumblr media
So Courtney led us to the main part of the event, tables filled with party favors to take (only took one lol), and they were wrapped in pink paper. The table cloths were all in pretty girly colors and patterns, and there was a cake, and plates and a jug of cut up slices of fruits! The detail this girl did for the party! I wish I had the time!!! Lol!
Tumblr media
We did get to walk around the island led by her, and we were busy snapping pics and commenting, (I was sooo nervous I could not spell for the life of me! I’m 31 and I was spelling like a 4 year old, my goodness they all must’ve thought I was some illeterate human😂). This is by the beach where we tried to take some photos, looks like a whole wedding photo shoot set up!
Tumblr media
There was also a stage, and we all pretended to watch Courtney sing, and I believe someone else was playing the drums. I loved the fact that we all synced together to do stuff, it was like we all connected lol. I love the Palm Tree lights it really gives off an island concert vibe haha (duh basically you are in an island 😂).
Tumblr media
One of my favorite photos! I don’t remember this player’s name, but she was making me laugh sooo much throughout our princess venture! We both were sitting down at a little picnic area, and I guess she’s waiting for me to pass her the salt hahaha. Love the picnic blanket, I can’t tell if Courtney made it or it’s made that way for the game, but it’s so kawaii!
Tumblr media
Another favorite photo of mine! We were playing musical chairs and so terrible about it! I lost immediately, (because you know I’m a noob), and so as the game progressed, the zelda player was mad because someone cheated or something and she lost! I could not stop laughing in real life! They’re all good people though, and I loved thinking how this would’ve played out in real life! 💖😂
Tumblr media
Another part of the island that I loved was the “Princess Booth”. I love Sleeping Beauty aka Princess Aurora aka Briar Rose and so the pink dress in the background had me screaming with joy! It’s a straight replica from the movie! Courtney really thought of everything for this party! 👑👑👑
Tumblr media
This was around the time before I left the island, as I had eating and studying to do. However, I wanted to take one last photo, and this was one of the last shots I got. My character obviously, (and I say obviously because she’s in every photo posted), is the one wearing one of my designs, the pink and yellow dress with turquoise hair. Look at all those cute booths tho! 😍
Tumblr media
This photo was posted by Courtney who was the host of the party (she’s the one in the middle in purple with a rose in her mouth). Honestly, it was a fantastic little party, and I hope to join many more of different types of parties! It’s good to know there are people like myself that love to just game and love having fun! I didn’t know what to expect, but this venture turned out amazing! It was fun meeting new people as well!
🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
And that’s my Princess Party Adventure! 👑 Please find me on twitter: msnu07, to check out Animal Crossing New Horizons content, and retweets and follow the rest of these lovely players that were in the party as well!
Until next time! Much love to you all reading this! 💕💕💕
Nu is signing out! 🤞🏼💕🌸

literally anything in this vein. in the vaguest, most removed sense. idc what you tag it. either let me know or just tag it “jade don’t look” whatever.
in fact feel free to tag any and all of these as just “jade don’t look” or some variant.
a/o/b related
anything pregnancy related
vivid depiction of sensory / memory alteration (particularly in images, but not excluded to)
unreality (also especially, but not limited to, images)
Of course I can’t require people tag these, but I will most likely not follow you if your post these regularly and do not have some warning which will be picked up by blacklist applications.
In regards to the sensory alteration, I mean things like seeing/hearing/etc things that aren’t there, mis-remembering or outright tampering with memory, etc. It’s kind of situation to situation on what gets me, but when it does it tends to hit me pretty hard. If you have any questions about it, fire away! [ example text post ]
On unreality, this somewhat relates to the above, I use this as a catch all phrase for images, vivid descriptions, and most especially videos/gifs of things that basically don’t behave or seem to behave as they should. Sometimes, I’ve seen these things tagged as “trippy” and the like, but they those posts tend to be too…idk how to put it. Extra? What tends to get me is when things are going fairly linear and then suddenly go for a loop. That’s not the greatest description, but here’s a few posts that have triggered me the worst that I’ve slowly gotten used to.  There are also things which should seem fine or normal but aren’t. If anyone has a better description for this, by all means let me know! example posts [ one ] / [ two ] /  [ three ] + a weird image that also gets me for some reason. hmvent is actually a blog I use to store things that trigger me so I can slowly get used to them or try and figure out what it is / why these things get to me.
META
Hayner is a young lad who resides in the sleepy Twilight Town. He is described as “impulsive and determined, and is always looking for a new adventure. He is bold to the point of recklessness…He gets bored easily during uneventful times… also easily angered/irked…thirsts for some kind of recognition…” During the events of KHII, he is 15, the same as Roxas/Sora. He has deep brown eyes, dirty blond hair and is a bit tall and, while still skinny, muscular for his age. He is the leader of his quartet trio including Pence, Olette and Roxas himself.
While he does have parents, he’s rather distant from them. While he does receive support from his folks, they were just never really there. Because of this, his loyalties lie greatly with his chosen family, his friends. He considers it his duty to help, lead and, if needed, protect them, even if he’d never admit as much even to himself. If any of his actions or ideas end up hurting someone he cares about, he takes it very much to heart, often beating himself up about it for weeks and weeks after.
Hayner, despite his hotheadedness and brashness, is a very observant leader. His tough guy act, while not entirely based on this, is partially to build himself up, make other less inclined to pick fights with him and his friends. Whether or not this works out, however, is certainly debatable. He also does his best to incorporate his friends’ wants and needs– or at least what he perceives these as– into his plans.
As oblivious as he may seem, he is quite mindful of the people around him. Whether it’s picking out the shady figure on that street corner or this one, or noticing some random kid’s not having a good day - he sees a lot of it, but often it doesn’t strike as a huge priority. He thinks things through a lot more than he’s credited for, but unfortunately, he doesn’t go through the whole process before starting his plan of action.
Hayner also isn’t exactly the most social person. He is outgoing and nice to people out of politeness and giving people the benefit of the doubt, but as a whole he’d much rather just stick with his friends. The only exception to this has been Sora, as he feels a “familiar vibe” about him, and therefore is also open to his circle of friends.
A couple more misc hcs below:
Is a very exceptional swordsman (at least with the training swords). However, his skills do not seem as outstanding compared to that of Roxas and other more major characters.
As much as he hates school, his best subject science. And although one would think he’d be a good athlete because he is competitive, he actually doesn’t have good PE grades because he doesn’t try if he doesn’t have to. The only way to get him to really participate is to make it a competition.
MORE WILL BE ADDED MARCH, 2019 TO INCLUDE SPOILERS FOR KH3
AU Info will be added shortly.

Cheritz’ new opening video for V’s route
Impressions and Thoughts:
I really liked the duet between Rika and V and the whole flow of the song <3 so, so very pretty.
Yet song carries  a sort of bitter-sweetness to it, so I am assuming that a possible “good end” for V’s route might not be in terms of the present (Seven’s route and the following end stories), but in terms of maybe - what V had in the past, what he was sharing with Rika when she was in a healthier state of mind. That may be the only “good one” we will ever get. (hoping not and parallel universe magic happens).
Kind of like in this picture, what might represent the “good end”:
Tumblr media
I imagine it’s one took early one during their relationship, before all hell broke loose with Rika.
In the song, they are singing about a “song of dreams sweetly sung” (0:39), a “song of memory lonely sought” (0:44), how flowers bloom underneath a song, but one harsher push it takes to make it perish. But hope can make the flowers blossom and he will love the tender daffodil.
The lyrics alone make me feel that it won’t be a MC x V route, considering it’s separate from the rest of the protagonists. Also, called (Another Story), might not involve us in playing as the MC. Heck, I’m not even sure we might be playing as Rika.
We might be playing as V. (lol, I know, long shot)
However, if we do end up playing as MC, I really doubt we will have a romancing option with V. (the above picture kind of ruins the dream + love song lyrics)
I am not one to believe that the focus will be on MC x V pairing, I personally think it would be a little harder to implement that as a story line. I wouldn’t be against it anyway, considering the overall game of the story and the one route I played for Dandelion (so far), I believe Cheritz knows what they’re doing so I am not worried.
Tumblr media
Anyway....
Damn, I honestly did not expect the costume to belong to Unknown, since I think V’s teal hair and the magenta color fits super, super well together. But here we see Saeran wear this suit sporting his white locks (so Seven had not rescued the boy, meaning he is still in Mint Eye and serving under Rika - you guys can see another shot of his eyes opening in later seconds in the video, where he still wears his mint-colored contact lenses).
I see people come up with various reasons why they used “???” instead of Unknown when describing his name. Meaning:
1) The action in V’s route might happen in the past because the terms “Unknown” is only known to the rest of the RFA thanks to the MC. No “Unknown” shown, possibly no “MC” in this story.
2) OR - maybe the people who did the video associated question marks with the unknown. (In which case, an MC can pop in the route no problem)
I personally am not against any of the situations, the fact that we get new content is enough for me. XD
Plus, another user from tumblr had pointed out the “MAGENTA” in color on Saeran’s party clothing.
We all know that the greatest, everlasting party is in MAGENTA *cough* where everyone is painless and happy, yada yada. And, speaking of party, guess who is dressed for a festivity besides Unknown?
That’s right.
Rika is.
Tumblr media
And where is precious Rika standing in?
A church. (Mint-Eye HQ, her cult base, her evil lair, her holy lair)
Tumblr media
Who gave me “priest” vibes judging by the attire he wears?
V.
Lol, but seriously, I’ve seen it pointed out by some how his outfit, on the neck collar has a “fleur-de-lys” (french for ‘flower lily’), which is a decorative and symbolic element which was strongly used in Christianity during the Middle Ages (from the little I’ve read), and was especially common in France. Its origins though are much older than that, older civilizations having variations of it.
But the more religious connotation remains and it might influence V’s “priest” stature of Rika’s Mint-Eye cult.
Or just portray how he is a follower of Christianity, with no deeper meaning other than that. (Lawl)
Tumblr media
I think it’s not an outstretch of a theory that the party in V’s route might not be an RFA one, but if successful, we’ll see a MAGENTA one (visible because of Unknown’s outfit that has the same color, also pointed out by other users on this site). A party where all the guests come to Mint-Eye.
If any.
In this new opening video, I noticed most of the RFA chars don’t wear happy expressions, compared to how most are shown in the first MysMe opening video. The first image of Zen is him wearing a more saddened expression (which changes into a smile), Yoosung is visibly upset, Jumin is in his serious mode, so is Jaehee, Seven is serious too (not his crazy happy self) and contemplative, scene soon changing to Saeran - as if the brother was thinking of him.
Basically all of the RFA members, apart from Zen in that second instance,  look troubled, which slightly gives me some warning signs that V’s route might not be a cheerful one for everyone, regardless the options you may choose.
I dunno, will have to wait and see.
Also:
With Cheritz’ delay, moving the date in September, I am wondering whether they will choose V’s in-game birthday as a day of release. XD Which is September 9th. If the company can manage the release on that date, I think it will have a more meaningful impact than if they would release it earlier or later than that specific day.
Anyway - I’m a happy fangirl and can’t wait to find more about Mint-Eye in this game. ^^ I hope we will do!
PS: And even if you love/hate Rika, if we end up playing as her, I for one am not gonna be upset about it and enjoy every second of it. There’s always fanfiction to settle your thirst for V x MC loving, just saying. XD
We should enjoy this treat, not many otome games -presumed to be finished with the entire story- will go to such lengths and give us an extra 11-days route, while postponing fresh new game releases, or backing those projects up while still showing so much love and care for Mystic Messenger.

ur last text post piqued my interest, so headcanons on how karin's temper is (how she lets it out) depending on the person?
This post? I’m actually glad you asked!! I don’t get to explore this part of Karin often.
Largely shinigami!Karin.Just forewarning– this is about as long as a Doctoral thesis which is totally your fault, & the entire thing contains potentially triggering content. Warnings include alcoholism, implied BDSM, minor character hate, mentioned suicide, discussion of: dysfunctional family units, violence, racism, LGBT+ prejudice, misogyny, sexual harassment, & various manifestations of abusive situations. I would like to publicly apologize to mobile users.
Karin’s expression of her anger his highly dependent person to person. I’d first like to say that Karin rarely gets angry. Most of her anger is frustration. Of course, she does get angry, but that is caused by violation of her values which I’ll explore after her expression of frustration with specific relationships.
With her loved ones, her reaction to her frustration is a slider of violent to nonviolent highly dependent upon individual to individual, rather than offense. When Karin does become violent, it’s not to achieve an end like Aizen’s abuse, it’s because she’s legitimately reached the end of her rope & violence is her best method to get back at her slights, perceived or otherwise. Mostly.
With Toushirou, violence is a part of their sexuality. I won’t discuss this much because expression of sexuality in teenagers is Wrong™ which throws Me & literally every COCSA survivor under a fucking bus & promotes conservative sex ed which doesn’t work & I will get yelled at. I will say that any violence between Karin & Toushirou is perfectly consensual & performed after they’ve compromised in an argument to blow off steam & I will also say that aftercare is of utmost importance to them.
Karin will never be violent with Momo ever. Don’t get me wrong, Karin does get frustrated with Momo. Karin gets frustrated when any guardian figure won’t let her do something– namely dangerous, possibly fatal things. For instance, if Momo & Karin are on a senpai-kouhai day date & there’s a hollow, Momo will normally let Karin slay it herself if Momo thinks it’s in Karin’s capability. If Momo thinks Karin will get worse that little scratches, Momo will force Karin to sit on the sidelines while she takes care of it. Well, Momo isn’t around all the time, & Karin knows she can take anything up to a Menos Grande, so Momo denying her this is very frustrating to Karin because Karin knows she can take a lot on despite the injuries she may suffer. But like I said, Karin will never get violent with Momo. Momo is too important to Karin, as Momo is one of the few people whom would respect Karin’s autonomy so long as nobody is harmed, including Karin. Karin expresses her infrequent frustration with Momo by pouting, but Momo easily diffuses Karin’s frustration with affectionate gestures like baking Karin cookies or giving her a big ol’ wet senpai forehead kiss.
Yuzu is the person Karin gets frustrated with second most. Now, Yuzu doesn’t do anything to really trigger Karin’s frustration. Even Yuzu’s infatuation with their brother doesn’t really tick Karin off. Karin loves Ichigo just as much as Yuzu does, the only difference is Ichigo’s treatment of them. Ichigo’s favoritism of Yuzu– namely he giving Yuzu more freedom than Karin, such as not policing Yuzu’s friendships– isn’t Yuzu’s fault. That said, Yuzu is the only reason Karin doesn’t kill herself through junior high & high school. Yuzu is legitimately the other half of Karin’s soul. But keep in mind Karin isn’t fulfilled by a normal human life. It’s only a matter of time before Karin resents Yuzu for keeping her from living a happy life as a shinigami. Karin hates herself for feeling this resentment towards sweet Yuzu but never gets the resources to really soothe herself. Karin snaps at Yuzu a lot because of this resentment. As sweet as Yuzu is, Yuzu is still a Kurosaki & won’t roll over for Karin. Their frequent screaming matches eventually get as heated as Ichigo & Karin’s. Really, the only difference between them is that Karin has never struck Yuzu.
Karin has struck Izuru on occasion. They mostly fight about Izuru’s passive aggressive treatment of Toushirou. Toushirou was one of the most important support systems while Karin was still alive. While she doesn’t support Toushirou’s harassment of Izuru simply because of Izuru’s proximity to Momo, Izuru’s equally assholish behavior is offensive to all the things Toushirou has helped her through. When Karin & Izuru are fighting about Toushirou, Karin normally storms out. If Izuru follows her, regardless of his intent to apologize, Karin normally socks him. Thankfully, Toushirou & Izuru start getting along while Karin is in the academy so she & Izuru don’t actually fight much anymore. When they do, they’re mostly drunk, not sure what they’re fighting about, & end up just being petty & scathing & totally cool in the morning.
Karin isn’t infrequently frustrated with Ururu & Jinta. That said, she’s never been violent with either of them while she’s frustrated. Karin is mostly frustrated by their refusal to divulge much about shinigami for fear of retaliation from Ichigo. These are Karin’s battle partners. They’re her longest & most important friends. It’s offensive & demeaning that the two most important people in Karin’s life won’t be honest with her, just like Ichigo. Karin throws tantrums, she screams & bawls her eyes out, she begs for them to have the decency to love her like she loves them– with total trust & devotion, but to little avail. Karin may not speak to Jinta & Ururu for a few days after these tantrums, but that’s about all. Karin can’t stay away from them, they’re simply too important to her.
Ichigo is the person Karin is most often frustrated by. I won’t discuss this much since I already talk about Karin & Ichigo so much, but Karin hasn’t gone one argument with Ichigo without trying to hit him. She’s at the end of her rope the minute Ichigo walks in.
Where do I even start with Ichigo’s crew? I was originally going to do original sections for each of them but Karin’s reasons for her frustration with them & reactions to them are virtually the same. Karin does not like anybody in close proximity to Ichigo. At all. Karin thinks all of them are blindly loyal to Ichigo & agree with Ichigo’s treatment of Karin. This isn’t true, Yasutora & Rukia are especially offended by Ichigo stifling Karin’s potential so. Even so, neither of them do anything to put Ichigo in place which, in my opinion, is almost as bad as agreeing with Ichigo. The only person spared from Karin’s violence is Orihime, & only because Karin gets very soft, kind vibes from Orihime which reminds Karin too much of Yuzu to raise a hand against Orihime. Otherwise, everybody else is fair game. Byakuya is included in this category.
Renji is not included with them. Karin harbors complex feelings for Renji. On one hand, Renji reminds Karin strongly of her brother. Renji & Ichigo share similar body language, syntax, & “vibes,” & Renji’s proximity to Ichigo worries Karin. That said, Momo trusts Renji & Karin trusts Momo’s opinion. There’s not one thing that ticks Karin off with or about Renji, because her mixed feelings themselves trigger her frustration. Now, Karin doesn’t act on her frustration herself. Karin gets violent when she feels trapped her pestered by Renji. Her attacks rarely work since Renji is so much larger & stronger than Karin, but Renji is very respectful of Karin’s space for the most part so there aren’t a lot of altercations between them. The rare times Karin tries to beat the shit out of Renji normally result in Renji putting her in time out with Momo & Momo making Karin apologize for her behavior after Karin has cooled off. Karin’s never sure if she’s really sorry.
Isshin genuinely loves his children. Isshin doesn’t know how to be a father. That’s perfectly reasonable, it’s not like there’s a manual for raising children at all, let alone children with troubles such as the Kurosaki siblings. That said, Karin doesn’t feel like Isshin takes her seriously. This makes it hard for Karin to go to Isshin for any amount of help because he just makes a joke out of everything. Of course, nobody can bottle up the turmoil Karin experiences without it negatively impacting their behavior. When Karin feels mocked by Isshin, she gets violent with him. It’s mostly spontaneous violence, while Isshin is being a goofball.
Karin’s relationship with Shuuhei is hard to articulate. It’s pretty uncomplicated since Karin doesn’t hang out with Shuuhei as much as she hangs out with Izuru, Momo, & Toushirou. Karin has never been violent with Shuuhei, she hasn’t even really fought with him. I just want to touch on this though because Karin does get frustrated with Shuuhei on occasion. Shuuhei is still very loyal to Tousen despite Tousen manipulation & hypocrisy. THIS doesn’t anger Karin. Karin knows emotional abuse is extremely complex & takes time for the survivor to process their experience, heal, & relearn self-respect. Karin admires Shuuhei incredibly though as Momo admires him too, which is rare for Momo. Karin just wants Shuuhei to learn to give himself the respect he deserves, she just wants Shuuhei to see how wonderful he is. She mostly keeps this to herself though.
Karin generally loves Rangiku. Rangiku is fun & bright & is almost as good as Rose & Momo at cheering Karin up. Karin just has one complaint– Rangiku’s avoidance of work & Toushirou consequentially picking up her slack. Rangiku isn’t a bad person, but Toushirou is very overworked & a good partnership requires lifting one’s weight in & out of battle. Karin’s frustration with Rangiku slacker habits never escalates into a screaming match or a fight, but Karin can be quite venomous if she catches Rangiku slacking off somewhere. It never really hurts Rangiku’s feelings. Rangiku knows Karin loves her but loves Toushirou just as much, & Rangiku knows Karin is right, Rangiku’s just so sad that it’s hard to sit down & concentrate. Karin understands, she was disassociated her entire senior year & literally flunked out because she got nothing done, but being sad doesn’t excuse burdening loved ones.
Yukio rarely triggers Karin’s frustration. There’s this ease between them Karin doesn’t get with many individuals at all. I’m not even sure what they’d fight about, let alone either of their reactions. Yukio’s initial disdain for Toushirou would tick Karin off at first, but Yukio & Toushirou eventually develop a friendship of their own eliminating any reason for Karin to get upset over that, & Karin can easily see through Yukio’s aloof, sarcastic facade because it’s exactly like her own. I think any problems Karin & Yukio would have with each other would be resolved quickly & maturely.
Karin’s friends Ryohei, Heita, Kei, & Kazuya are people Karin considers “underdogs” like herself. I’ll make another post about my headcanons for Karin’s friends another time– probably reblog it from my roleplay blog– but Karin has only been violent with these four once. Like, with the intent to get back at them instead of just shut them up when they’re being obnoxious. It’s just after the five of them enter junior high. It’s weird for boys & girls to be friends now, & Ryohei, Heita, Kei, & Kazuya don’t like being teased for being friends with a girl. They try to just stop talking to Karin, “let her down easy” so to speak, but Karin’s having none of that. When Karin confronts them about their distant behavior, they really don’t have any choice but to tell Karin they don’t want to be friends with Karin anymore. Of course, Karin is broken-hearted. Kazuya, Ryohei, Kei, & Heita have given Karin a sense of normalcy throughout elementary school. She throws a fit, throwing two of them into the river, dislocating one’s arm, breaking another’s nose, & storms off. She never sees them again. Fine by her, she tells everybody, despite how her chest aches.
Karin is scarcely frustrated with Shinji to point of violence. His lax demeanor in the office gets on Karin’s nerves frequently, but she respects Shinji too greatly to throw a temper tantrum of any sort. This wasn’t always true. Oftentimes, Karin felt Shinji was comparing her to her brother, but Momo talked to Shinji about Karin’s disdain for her brother & Shinji respects that Ichigo hurt Karin very much, so even if Shinji still cares about Ichigo he & Karin just don’t talk about anything having to do with Ichigo.
Rose normally doesn’t irritate Karin in any capacity. Rose used to sound condescending, with his insistence to make the most of life & exploration & art, but after Rose & Karin converse about making oneself happy, pursuing the things that bring them joy instead of seething in misery, Karin likes him. It’s summarily what she did when she killed herself, however tragic. The most Rose does is irritate Karin when he’s being prissy & finicky. It doesn’t even elicit any smart comments from Karin, mostly just an eyeroll. Nothing ever escalates into violence.
Kensei, on the other hand, can make Karin go from 0 to 100 in a third of a second. Karin doesn’t totally despise Kensei. She actually doesn’t know Kensei very well as a person, but she knows how Kensei treats Shuuhei & it’s totally unacceptable. I’ll cover more about Karin’s reactions towards witnessing abusive situations in a couple of paragraphs. But the moment Kensei snaps at Shuuhei while Karin’s in the vicinity, she’s almost immediately up in Kensei’s face screaming at him how he’s a captain & should know better, how Shuuhei’s done jackshit to deserve being berated like Kensei sometimes does. I think Kensei would be ticked off that some kid is screaming at him like Karin is, but Karin has a lot of good points. I won’t explore my thoughts about the dynamic of Squad 9 in this post so I’ll stop there.
Karin doesn’t really know what she thinks about Mashiro overall. I do think Karin is sometimes annoyed by Mashiro’s immaturity but otherwise Karin doesn’t find a lot to get annoyed with Mashiro, nothing that warrants more than a couple of ticked off remarks at least.
That’s all for Karin’s individual relationships– 2.3k words of it…. Just real quick, I’d like to cover a little bit about Karin’s biases towards certain relationships.
Karin’s family relationships leave much to be desired. She doesn’t really care much for her family, since they’re so distant & Yuzu is the only one who hasn’t betrayed Karin in some fashion. She doesn’t think very highly of her family as a whole because of their dysfunction, however much she may love them. She responds to anger with them similarly to her friendships.
Karin is a very insecure person. There aren’t many people whom are forward with her, & she’s already ostracized from her classmates thanks to shit that went down with ghosts in her primary school years. When Karin gets a new friend, she is entirely loyal & loving of them. Anything she may view as wrong or as a betrayal Karin will react to with incredible hostility. Like her family, she thinks friendships are based in honesty & when that is violated she’s broken-hearted & volatile.
Boyfriends & girlfriends are a different matter altogether. Karin will forgive a lot more with them. You see, Karin is a very physical person. Her two primary expressions of love are physical affection & emotional support. It’s more normal for romantic partners to snuggle, so if Karin is ticked off or just finished throwing a tantrum, she’s going to forgive pretty much anything & everything. If her tantrum is interrupted however, Karin will immediately equate this action to Ichigo’s demeaning behavior & she will turn violent & terminate the relationship.
Moving onto violations of Karin’s values. Overall, if Karin even thinks something is amiss she’ll get ticked off & start screaming or beating the shit out of someone. Karin is intolerant of intolerance, even from her loved ones. Truthfully, if any of her loved ones violate her morals, she’ll react even more hostilely than she will a stranger because her loved ones know better. It’s not to say she’ll never forgive anyone for these, of course, but she believes that cruelty needs to be met threefold.
Karin’s biggest trigger to violent action is LGBT+ discrimination. Being bisexual herself, Karin is directly impacted by homophobia & biphobia. She doesn’t care who or where or when this occurs, she will destroy anyone who exhibits homophobia, biphobia, transphobia, aphobia, et cetera. However, Japan has a very repressed culture, & Karin is aware that some people aren’t malicious, simply ignorant. While she’s most likely to respond violently to LGBT+ prejudice, she’s also most likely to forgive it in the future.
Karin is also really ticked off by xenophobia. The Kurosaki kids are biracial– German/Japanese mix, Masaki being German/Japanese herself– so Karin & her family are impacted by this. Less so Karin since she looks more traditionally Japanese, but Yuzu gets a lot of unwarranted harassment because of Yuzu’s more Western appearance. Karin will react violently to any amount of racially or culturally centric discrimination, regardless if Yuzu is on the receiving end or not. This is an unforgivable offense to Karin & if she sees the same individual over & over again, still behaving xenophobically, Karin will beat the shit out of them until they totally disappear from Karakura.
Misogyny is a good way to elicit Karin’s wrath. It reminds Karin of Ichigo’s treatment of her, & seeing as how Karin & Ichigo can’t go a day without trying to rip out each other’s throats, of course Karin acts hostilely towards this behavior.
Abuse & rape apologism wasn’t high on Karin’s radar until she met Momo. Of course, it was on there, but it had more to do with misogyny than abuse itself. Karin’s violent streak is triggered by praise of known abusers & belittlement or harassment of survivors. This is an unforgivable offense & Karin will at least try to chase said offender out of town.
Any form of harassment or abuse of Karin’s loved ones will result in hostile reaction by Karin. Karin is incredibly protective over her “clan” & would risk her own life for anybody she cares about. While Karin won’t immediately resort to violence, an example being Kensei, if the situation is taking a turn Karin doesn’t like or the behavior against her loved ones continues, somebody’s gonna end up with a knife in their lung. This offense is rarely forgivable to Karin, but she’s not so black & white minded to think that everything is simple as it seems. Sometimes, abusive behavior really is just a mistake that can be remedied, but Karin never receives mistreatment of her loved ones peacefully.
Karin would react just as protectively over strangers. It’s the violation of her morals that triggers her violent behavior, not the person, it just so happens that her loved ones can trigger more volatile reaction.
I want to cover relationship violence specifically for one reason– Karin will plainly murder any romantic or sexual partner of her loved ones whom are mistreating them. No warning, no forgiveness. This is basically because of Toushirou. It’s hard for Karin to watch Toushirou be sad in any capacity, especially when Toushirou blames himself for Aizen’s abuse of Momo. That, & Momo has a huge influence over Karin. Momo talking about Aizen’s abuse make Karin’s blood boil. Between those two influences, Karin has no tolerance nor forgiveness for abusive spouses or partners.
Hm. I was revising this when I noticed Karin’s misandry. I want to specify something here too– Karin does not give preferential treatment to women because they’re women. Most of the offenses Karin has suffered have been via men, & most of Momo’s horror stories are of Aizen. Karin has a very skewed perspective of men therefore she more likely to react violently against men, not because women need to be protected.

Another year come and gone! As we do each year, let's take a look at the past year from an analytical by-the-numbers perspective and do a goal review. Most importantly, I'd like to extend the deepest of thanks to you, wonderful readers of CSS-Tricks, for making this place possible.
Tumblr media
This site has a new design, doesn't it? It does! I'll write something more about that soon. If you have something to say about it right now, feel free to use our new public community on Spectrum. If it's a bug or thought that doesn't really need to be public, our our contact form would be great.
I can count the times I pop into Google Analytics per year on my two hands these days, but we've had the basic snippet installed since day one around here, so it's great for keeping an eye on site traffic and usage over the long term. Especially since CSS-Tricks has been a fairly basic WordPress install the entire time with little by the way of major infrastructural changes that would disrupt how these numbers are gathered.
Tumblr media
Page views over the entire lifespan of CSS-Tricks.
We had 91 million page views this year, up from 75 million last year. That's great to see, as we were at 75 in 2017, 77 in 2016, and 72 in 2015. We've managed to do a bigger leap this year than perhaps we ever have. I'd love make a go at 100 million next year! That's based on 65 million sessions and 23 million users.
Perhaps some of that traffic could be attributed to the fact that we published 636 Posts this year, up from 595 last year. I'd like to think they are higher quality too, as we've invested much more in guest writing and had a more thorough editing process this year than we ever have. We've had Geoff Graham as lead editor all year and he's doing a phenomenal job of keeping our content train rolling.
For the last few years, I've been trying to think of CSS-Tricks as this two-headed beast. One head is that we're trying to produce long-lasting referential content. We want to be a site that you come to or land on to find answers to front-end questions. The other head is that we want to be able to be read like a magazine. Subscribe, pop by once a week, snag the RSS feed... whatever you like, we hope CSS-Tricks is interesting to read as a hobbyist magazine or industry rag.
We only published 25 new pages this year, which are things like snippets, almanac entries, and videos. I'd really like to see that go up this year, particularly with the almanac, as we have lots of new pages documented that we need to add an update.
I almost wish our URLs had years in them because I still don't have a way to scope analytic data to only show me data from content published this year. I can see the most popular stuff from the year, but that's regardless of when it was published, and that's dominated by the big guides we've had for years and keep updated.
Interestingly, flexbox is still our #1 guide, but searches for the grid guide are only narrowly behind it. It depends on the source though. I can see data for on-site search through WordPress.com (via Jetpack) which show grid searches at about 30% less than flexbox. Google Analytics have it about 60% less, which would be Google searches that end up on CSS-Tricks. Nevertheless, those are the two most popular search keywords, on-site and off. From #3 onwards: svg, border, position, animation, underline, background, display, transition, table, button, uppercase, css, bold, float, hover, transform.
I love that! People are landing on the site looking for fundamental CSS concepts, and hopefully finding what they need.
Site search has been a bit of a journey. Native WordPress search isn't good enough for a site this big. For a long time I used Google Custom Search Engine, which is nice because it's as good as Google is, but bad because it's a bit hard to style nicely and is covered in ads that don't make enough money to be worth it and are too expensive to remove. Last year I was using Algolia for a while, which is a fantastic product, but I needed to give it more development effort than I was able to at the time. Now I'm back on WordPress search but powered by Jetpack, which brings the power of cloud-hosted Elasticsearch, which is pretty sweet. It means I have native WordPress template and styling control, and lots of tweakability.
Search is also fascinating as it represents 81% of how people get to CSS-Tricks. That's particularly interesting in it means that the growth in page views wasn't necessarily from search, as we had 86% of traffic from search last year, down a full 5%. Growth came from other areas so strongly it pushed down search.
All of social media combined is 2%. I'm always reminded this time of year how much time and energy we spend on social media, and how perhaps the smart move is refocusing some of that energy toward on-site content, as that is far better for helping more people. Not that I don't enjoy social media. Surely we've gotten countless ideas for posts and content for those posts from social media participation.
An interesting uptick was in direct traffic. 9% of visits this year were direct, up from just 5% last year. And referral traffic at 7% up from 5%. Social media remained steady, so really we have more people coming directly to the site and more links from other sites to thank for the uptick in traffic.
Speaking of social media, we got @CSS on Twitter this year, and that's been fun. I would have thought it would have increased the rate of growth for followers, but it doesn't appear to.
Tumblr media
Chart from SocialBlade. I imagine that downblip was some sort of Twitter spam purge.
We hardly do anything with Facebook, beyond making sure new content is posted there. That sometimes feels like a missed opportunity since there are more people there than any other social network on Earth. But it doesn't seem particularly huge in developer communities as best I can tell. Not to mention Facebook is constantly revealed to be doing sketchy things, which steers me away from it personally.
We've had a remarkably consistent year of the CSS-Tricks Newsletter, publishing it every single week. Robin Rendle works hard on that every single week. We started the year with 31,376 subscribers and ended with 39,655. So about an 8.5k increase, down from the 10k increase last year. It's still good growth, and I suspect we'll see much better growth next year because the new site design does a lot better job promoting it and we have some plans to make our authoring of it and displaying it on this site much better.
If the news about Edge going Chromium made you worry that Chrome would become too dominant of a browser... well, Edge hasn't actually done that yet and Chrome is already pretty darn dominant already, particularly on this site. 77% of traffic is Chrome, 11% Firefox, 6% Safari, about 1.5% each for IE and Edge, and then the rest sprinkled out through 836 other identified browsers.
61% Windows, 22% Mac, 7% Linux, 7% Android, 3% iOS, and the rest sprinkled through 42 known operating systems.
Traffic geography has remained consistent. The United States has the lead at 22%, India at 13%, UK at 5%, Germany at 4%, Canada, France, and Brazil at 3%, Russia, Australia, Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Italy, Ukraine, China, Philipines at 2%, and the rest over 240 other identified countries.
Another surprising turn this year was mobile traffic. Internet-wide, I believe we're past the tipping point of more than half of all traffic being from mobile devices. On this site, we hovered at just 2 or 3% for many years. It was 6% last year, a big jump, and now 10% this year. I always suspected the main reason for the low numbers was the fact that this site is used in conjunction with doing active development, and active development is still a desktop-dominant task. Still, it's growing and the rate of growth is growing too.
There were 3,788 approved comments this year, down from 5,040 last year. We've been hand-approving all comments for a while now. We've always moderated, but having to approve them before they appear at all slows down commenting activity and leads to less overall. I'd estimate maybe 50-60% of non-spam comments get approved. Absolutely worth it to me to maintain a positive vibe here. I also suspect the main reason for lower comments is just that people do a lot more of their conversing over social media. I'm sure if we tracked conversations on social media in relation to things we've published (somehow) that would be up.
Our commenting system is also dreadfully old-timey. I'd love to see a system that allows for accounts, comment editing, social login, a fancy editor, Markdown, the whole nine yards, but I've yet to be swooned by something.
The contact form on site is up to ID #21458, so we got 1,220 messages through that this year.
Goal Review
❌ Publish something in a new format. Behind the scenes, we actually did some foundational work to make this happen, so I'm optimistic about the possibilities. But we didn't get anything out the door. The closest thing we've been doing is organizing content into guides, which is somewhat of a new format for us that I also want to evolve.
✅ More editorial vision. I think we got close enough to call this a success. We did a bunch of themed weeks. We were always grouping content together that is thematically related. Our link posts got better at being referential and topical. We still covered news pretty well. I think I'd like to see us to more far-ahead planning so we can bring bigger ideas to life.
✅ Interesting sponsorship partners. I think we nailed it here.
❌ Create another very popular page. We're at our best when we're creating really strong useful referential content. When we really nail it, we make pages that are very useful to people and it's a win for everybody. I'm not sure we had a run-away super popular page this year, so we'll gun for it next year.
New Goals
Polish this new design. This is easily the most time, effort, and money that's gone into a redesign since the big v10 design. There are a lot of aesthetic changes, but there was also quite a bit of UX work, business goal orientation, workflow tweaking, and backend development work that went along with it. I'd like to get some mileage out of it by not just sitting on it but refining it over a longer period.
Improve newsletter publishing and display. We sent our newsletter out via MailChimp, which is a great product, but over the years it has been good for us to bring as much under the WordPress umbrella as we can. I think we can create a pretty sweet newsletter authoring experience right within WordPress, then continue to send it via MailChimp via a special RSS feed. That'll take some work, but it should make for a better newsletter that is more comfortable to produce and easier to integrate here on the site.
Raise the bar on quality. I'd be happy to see the number of posts we publish go down if we could make the quality go up. Nothing against any of our authors’ work that is already out there, but I think we all know super high-quality articles when we see them and I'd like to hit that mark more often. If that means posts spending more time in editing and us being a bit more demanding about what we'd like to see, we'll do it.
Better guides. There are two sorts of guides: "complete guides" like our flexbox and grid guides (to name a few) and "guide collections" which are hand-chosen, hand-ordered, and hand-maintained guides along a theme, like our beginner guide. As a site with loads of content from over a decade, I really like these as a way to make sure the best stuff has a proper home and we can serve groups of people and topics in a strong way.
THANK YOU!

you already know I'm gonna ask for genshin<3
GOD BLESS ILY 💖💕 i should mention that i accidentally closed tumblr halfway through answering this, so i am literally retyping all of it. this new phone has a very like, slippery screen n i'm not used to it so i was like OH SHIT HAGDJANHDBSN
my favorite female character: SUCROSE!!! i only have very minor complaints about her design (really i just wish she was wearing some pants) n the parts of it i do like (her hair n her ears n the COLORS) are so pleasing to look at. i fly around with her bc the mondstadt wings match her really nicely n she looks so cute. her little ears.......i adore her. she has a voiceline about how she wants to use alchemy to create a fairytale utopia n it's SO sweet n i love her so much.
honorable mention hu tao, bc she's actually the only female design i personally don't complain about at all (the bar is so low though) n i LOVED her story quest. i'm also a really big fan of how she's voiced in english (bc i play in english) n also she's hilarious. i'm obsessed with her dynamic with zhongli too.
my favorite male character: strap in kids. this is gonna be a long ride. i have a top three, although it's technically more of a top four.
tied for first are childe n xiao bc i cannot choose between them. i had a really fun journey with childe; when i first started playing, my friend told me they thought he would 100% be my type n i looked at a photo of him n went "ehhhh" so i wasn't really sure at first. i also knew the um. "reputation" fans of him had within fan content n such so i was ALSO wary of that being a very frequent fandom-goer. fast forward a little bit n his banner roles around. i actually decided to pull for him for GAMEPLAY reasons initially, bc the idea of a ranged user being able to use a melee stance was literally a gamechanger for me who wasn't n still isn't very good at archers. i did start liking him reluctantly at that point, but i didn't really want to admit it (very funny looking back) n i used to make fun of him a lot bc i was in denial. NOW i have him in my party (my incredible dps my beloved) n i have finally met him in story which made me fall REALLY hard REALLY fast bc believe it or not, canon childe is NOTHING LIKE fanon childe. n that's a good thing mind u. n the rest is history, he now means everything to me. i am soft for him daily. i also rescind my previous "ehhhh" about his appearance bc he is very sexy. i am ALSO very much an advocate for how griffin voices him n i could talk about the golden house scene for literal hours; it is THE best scene in the game so far.
xiao was sort of similar, my (same) friend n i both knew i would like him bc he is VERY much my type. we were right. i was hyped up to meet him n as SOON as i did i fell so hard i fell off a cliff. it breaks my heart every day i don't have him as i wait patiently for him to rerun. playstyle wise i honestly think he's really fun, but i would probably be saving for him even if i hated how he played, bc i just love him that much. i'm also obsessed with yaksha lore in general n i think about him a lot. xiao my beloved. he also has one of my favorite (if not my favorite) designs.
diluc n zhongli are the last two, bc i can't really choose which one of them i like more, only bc they're both important for different reasons?
diluc was my FIRST favorite character. i took a single look at him n i KNEW. first character i loved, first character i really wanted, as well as the character i tried to (n failed to) REROLL FOR. over fifty times, n nothing. i have him now, but goddamn. i have a thing for characters associated with fire, n as soon as i heard about the whole darknight hero thing i was like oh my.....marriage. i was heartbroken when i played through the chunk of the story quest where they let u trial him before i had him bc i wanted him so bad. he's literally been on my team since day one. i go idle with him to hear him say nice things to me. i love him so much.
n as for zhongli, he's. also special. the definition of comfort character. "he's more than daddy to me. he's.....he's like GRANDPA" HQGDNANHD no but seriously, he walks on sceen n i just feel safe. part of it is keith being so very good at voicing him, but regardless i love him very much. he tugs at my heartstrings a lot n i think he's probably the character the causes me the most physical heartache bc i feel so bad for him.
honorable mention dain, bc who would i be if i didn't mention dain. mwah.
my favorite book/season/episode etc: i'm gonna go with quest for this one! n i think we all know what i'm gonna say; OF COURSE IT'S ZHONGLI'S STORY QUEST!! i complain a lot about how this game doesn't treat tension properly, but i have absolutely nothing to complain about in either of his quests. particularly part two really held its own for me against the entire main story, in my opinion. i know part two just came out, but i am ECSTATIC about the possibility of future parts. also the only story quest i've shed tears over (although i came pretty close on childe's n xiao's). i even THINK about a scene from that quest n my heart breaks into pieces. emotionally, zhongli owns me.
my favorite cast member: in terms of acting performance, probably keith. in general, yuri. he is one of my all time favorite voice actors n i inhale everything that he has done like fucking kirby. i'm really attached to a lot of the english cast though; laila, griffin, khoi, erika, etc.
my favorite ship: this is hard, actually. what's hilarious is that all my favorite pairings involve zhongli. i honestly, at this point, think it's a tie between zhongluc n rezhong. bc rezhong there is just so much there n so much to THINK about, but zhongluc is very comforting to me, personally, n the whole dragon n the phoenix imagery stuff sucked me in like a VACUUM. i also really like guili though; basically, if zhongli is in it, i will at least think about it (sort of, see later).
a character i'd die defending: childe no uhh. in terms of characters who NEED defending, kaeya. i am so SICK of u people not knowing how to interpret him. i'd like to add in eula here too, bc i REALLY like her, n i think some of u went a little bit haywire. in terms of characters who don't really need defending, xiao. i would die for him, actually.
a character i just can't sympathize with: ironically i don't genuinely hate any of the playable characters yet. dottore is pretty fucked up so i guess him, but also i still find him interesting hagdbanhdnan.
a character i grew to love: besides childe? ganyu! i didn't NOT like her by any means, but i was mostly indifferent, n while i WISH her story quest had a little more to it...i adore her very much.
my anti otp: besides the obvious ones, zhongchi.....LET ME EXPLAIN!! i don't HATE it, exactly. but i got so irreparably BITTER about it clogging up both childe n zhongli's individual tags, to the point where i couldn't find enough content without it, i completely lost interest. i will accept nice art of it, but i also have a massive problem with how A LOT of fans tend to over/hyperfeminize childe in relation to the ship, which feels very disingenuous to me bc childe.....isn't a feminine character, really. he's just, i dunno, skinny?? if anything, his whole fight happy shit feels more masculine to me, lmao. it just very much feels like a lot of u can't accept a pairing between two men unless u put one of them in the role of the "woman" n it very much bothers me. like, listen, i know childe is canonically a malewife n i love that about him, but it's about the intent. n i feel HORRIBLE vibes from a lot of u people. i know active fandom genshin fans have bad vibes in general, but u know what i mean. i have been to this rodeo before, n i hate it every time. also, i see a lot of very mischaracterized childe in relation to the pairing too, n to a much lesser extent zhongli, but it still exists. basically, i don't hate it, but i am bitter. n it very much feels like a lot of u are turning them into ur token fandomwide homos which NEVER ends well.
please all i ask is if ur gonna ship two men can u at least treat them both like some semblance of men i am tired

SEO Autopilot Ranking Review and Case Study Update 2018
SEO Autopilot Review
youtube
Hey guys welcome very very cool case study I’ve got here that I’m gonna be giving out to everyone who gets SEO autopilot because I have to say s and also I’m gonna be giving it out to browse EO customers as well so if you picked up SEO autopilot I’ll give you access to this as I’ll show you all of the the names the actual keywords its ranking for and exactly what I’ve done to get these results along with that you also get access to the SEO autopilot skype group which they run nothing to do with me and they have just a huge amount of strategies and their a lot of action a lot of activity a lot of good vibes in there people talking about rankings and how different diagrams are working for them and all that kind of stuff so that’s awesome and you you’ve got that but I’m also gonna give you is this I’m gonna actually give you the keywords that I’m ranking for the strategy to find the right kind of buyer keywords so that you’re going to definitely be getting the right kind of people come to your blog that’s the key the key the most important thing in anything that you do online especially building websites and trying to you know make money you know you need to make sure that the keywords that you’re targeting with SEO are going to be bringing you leads gonna be bringing you potential customers okay so I’ll show you that exact strategy these are gonna be blurred out but I’m gonna keep I’m gonna show I’m just gonna keep that kind of I’ll have what I’ll do is I’m gonna blur these out but I’m gonna have a screenshot that I’m gonna show you and below the video you can click on that and you can see the main keywords blurred out but your you’ll be able to see the the review the keywords that these are based around so before and after review reviews reviews before and after for sale samples you know eye cream side effects reviews alternatives reviews reviews reviews price reviews so basically what these are are all buyer keywords much every single one of the keywords that I’m targeting here are buyer keywords that’s how I structured and I’ve targeted those keywords in in in order to make sure that when people come to my side they’re to be interested in what I’m selling or what is being sold this is purely an affiliate site it’s a CPA site I don’t even have any links on the page yet to actually sell a product and it’s just literally right now ranking case studies should get it into the Google SERPs using SEO autopilot so this is in also as I said earlier in the video it’s not just the case study for SEO so pilot it’s also an endorsement so to speak it’s just I have to say probably the best link building tool out there unbelievable support open chat the whole time you’re able to just communicate with the owners device are constantly updating the tool every single thing works in the to a hundred percent success rates are possible in average you get about 95% 96% success rates which is phenomenal absolutely phenomenal for link building tool it just shows how on top of it these guys are and SEO autopilot is responsible for pushing this site up the rankings and I’m going to show you exactly how I’ve used SEO autopilot using a little bit different than the guys are showing in the group although the guys are telling you what’s working for them which is awesome so I’m I’m the strategy that I’d use this is a little bit once removed and I’m using a lot of protection and making sure that I’m just really pushing power through different feeder sites and I’ll show you exactly how I did that if you pick up SEO so pilot or yeah so you need to have SEO also pilot otherwise it’s just not going to work for you because you need to use SEO autopilot to to get this to work in this way so if you you know if you’ve picked it up and you don’t have browse eyo I’ll give you accesses show you absolutely everything again and if you don’t have grout and if you do a browse EO and haven’t actually picked up SEO type either yet then you know please do and I will give you access to this as well I just don’t want it out there going to anyone and everyone right now so so this is what I just want to I don’t want to show basically I don’t want to be showing my site and this because it’s it’s it’s got potential as well and and I’m hoping that you know the the few people that are going to actually get access to it after buying SEO autopilot or browse your owners on I’m sure you guys are not gonna be messing with this sighs so I want to see how far we can take this side so that’s why I don’t want it just to be an open case study for everyone so you get access to so you do need to at least buy a co-pilot or have browser so with that being said let’s just move forward I’m gonna show you the results that we’ve got here so I’m not gonna use this is all cute and everything and I have to say very unnatural very inaccurate so if you’re thinking already five minutes ago this is inaccurate why you showing me the search console yeah of course we know this and that’s what I want to show you that don’t you can’t build that base anything on this this is completely inaccurate information however they are showing you keywords that are appearing across the entire spectrum of of Google right so I picked out 80 keywords about a month ago and just been tracking them now it’s got like 300 keywords and it’s apparently ranking for somewhere yeah 286 keywords that it’s appeared for will say in search right so I think it’s pretty pretty pretty nice number for just a month or so and I haven’t really hadn’t done anything to this site in a month I bought the domain added a couple of posts used SEO autopilot and a few other things but all with SEO autopilot and these are the results what google webmaster consoles sending me showing me that I I’m ranking for and what I did was again I I grabbed some of the keywords about a month ago when there were only 80 keywords so I literally grabbed all of the keywords and then I went and I put them into se ranking which is a rank tracker and it has a few other things but I only use it for the rank tracking and right now after doing nothing running one or two campaigns with one major one one very minor one and again I’ll go into strategy exactly what I did this is just showing you the case study and the results that you can get very easily really very easily here is seventy-seven up as of today updated yesterday 37 down that’s not so bad it’s just sort of I’m leaving I’m literally I’ve left it for about a month now so it’s time for another campaign and some more links I’m doing it very very slowly so as you can see a lot of ups look this one went up 27 places how many total what does it said how many it should tell me somewhere the amount I don’t know exactly where it is but it’s look we’ve got eight eleven I mean it’s up a lot a number so uh 77 positions there you go okay but no because this one here is up forty fifty I mean this alone here this is up a lot more than 77 positions I’m not sure where the right info is anyway regardless of that again this is going to be blurred out in the video I’m gonna have in the bottom you’ll see the the less blurred out version showing that their buyer keywords okay so this is again using SEO autopilot at the core with some other very very safe strategies just little safety nets that I’ve used and I’ll share with you and show you exactly I’ve done that so if you’re if you’ve got sites that are really you know you you’re very paranoid to use and you don’t want to just go ahead and blast it I would this is exactly why I’ve done it this way because it’s as safe as it could possibly be and it really works as well so here we have just keywords these will be blurred out but again in below there’ll be a image with all of the so you’ll be able to see reviews reviews reviews and you know by by review before and after ingredients like questions and like money keywords so we have again so it what is so very interesting and what actually prompted me to make this video is I want to motivate people so just you shouldn’t have to just don’t just rely and think it’s it you needs lots of traffic to start seeing results because and and and and also not to just rely on what Google’s telling you especially over here in the webmasters it says eight clicks in the last twenty eight days if we look over here at analytics it’s more than that I mean this is the last ninety days so if we look in the last twenty eight days analytics is saying twenty four users and on average nearly two minutes compared to flipping Korea mean it’s it’s all curated content none of it’s actually written it’s probably about 20 words maximum or I don’t know 10 20 30 words maximum on each page are actually written the rest of it is just curated and and and and again that’s what you’ll see you’ll see exactly how this site has literally cost nothing’s put together it is an expired domain so that’s another little bonus bit of info give you right there that isn’t expired domain you do need to make sure that you know what you’re looking for when you’re picking expired domains and and use them in this way you get to circumvent all of the initial sort of two three four months of you know being really really careful with your sites so and you get instant rankings for really really really easy keywords when using these expired domains instant meaning you know if it’s expired probably about a week you’ll it’ll come out of this little sandbox and and then you know if it’s if it’s never been dropped in that kind but we’re not gonna get into that right now I mean I’m getting up in a little bit Anjan I know the videos starting to get on we’re already about 10 minutes and I want to end it soon and this is how I’m gonna end it you’re actually gonna end it now you’ve seen the small amount of traffic that this site has has got here that it’s saying right so 24 users in the last month search console saying 8 in the last 28 days although it says that it appeared somewhere in results for 300 keywords or so but in the very few of them are actually in the top results the some of them RNA is driving traffic and the reason I know is simply based on my autoresponder because this is actually where the money is really it’s not on the front end building out that it’s not it’s not really on the front end selling these affiliate products because it can be very profitable to do it that way but by building yourself something that’s gonna be a little bit more especially if you’re just building these affiliate sites and so when you see this site you’ll see wow that’s just my pre it’s not a very nice-looking site and however this is what prompted me to actually look into it a little bit more is I noticed one of my streams with it in the autoresponder had 21 leads in it and there was no name so I had to go search through the tags and I found the only tag that I forgot about was when I added a an opt-in page about three weeks ago to this to this case studies I figured you know what I’m getting a couple of hits I might as well add an opt-in form and look at this I added the form just before the 20th I think I think what happened on the round about the 20th is the site started to get a little bit more traffic and as you can see February 20th 2018 this is real time this is happening now every day one or two to three here one on the 22nd 226th 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and here’s me when I opted in on one of this that’s because I’m already in another list say yeah and there we go look the 20 22nd March 6th up until yesterday March 11 2008 and p.m.
Someone has opted into this horrible looking site horrible nothing I think up there and content is just literally curated to the most minimal degree and it’s ranking it’s getting traffic and now is the time to start adding real content maybe one of the I think I have actually updated one or two of the posts to have decent content but by and large out of there I think 9 and 10 9 or so posts on there eight or seven out of the nine posts which are all generating traffic have got just very minimal content and that’s how the site was actually started with very very minimal content and then I only recently added the other longer articles when I saw it started to get a little bit more attraction and that did bring it up a little bit in the rankings and started to make it a little bit more of an authority site and not just having purely curated content so that’s our end the video now if you again pick up SEO autopilot I’m gonna go ahead to Cherie with you the exact strategy that I used exactly the site that’s ranking and and I’ll show you the site give you all the information so that you have another just bit of motivation to know that this is a strategy that you can follow and know that you’re going to be bringing in the right visitors okay all the using SEO autopilot in in there are so many different ways building backlinks this is not really gonna be how I’ll show you how but it’s not just about that it’s about bringing in the right keyword so that when they come to your site they’re gonna be opting in like this with the smallest amount of traffic I’m probably getting ten visitors a day maybe probably even less and these people are just opting in and these are real emails I mean Yahoo cost on their STM c.net Gmail Gmail okay these are obviously gonna be Verizon now I mean they’re blurred out I’m not gonna show you them obviously but I mean I think that’s that probably says it all hasn’t it I’m gonna end the video and if you’ve got any questions and comment below I’m gonna post this in the group also on youtube and wherever you see this just comment below and let me know if you’ve any questions you

autopilot or browse your owners on I’m sure you guys are not gonna be messing with this sighs so I want to see how far we can take this side so that’s why I don’t want it just to be an open case study for everyone so you get access to so you do need to at least buy a co-pilot or have browser so with that being said let’s just move forward I’m gonna show you the results that we’ve got here so I’m not gonna use this is all cute and everything and I have to say very unnatural very inaccurate so if you’re thinking already five minutes ago this is inaccurate why you showing me the search console yeah of course we know this and that’s what I want to show you that don’t you can’t build that base anything on this this is completely inaccurate information however they are showing you keywords that are appearing across the entire spectrum of of Google right so I picked out 80 keywords about a month ago and just been tracking them now it’s got like 300 keywords and it’s apparently ranking for somewhere yeah 286 keywords that it’s appeared for will say in search right so I think it’s pretty pretty pretty nice number for just a month or so and I haven’t really hadn’t done anything to this site in a month I bought the domain added a couple of posts used SEO autopilot and a few other things but all with SEO autopilot and these are the results what google webmaster consoles sending me showing me that I I’m ranking for and what I did was again I I grabbed some of the keywords about a month ago when there were only 80 keywords so I literally grabbed all of the keywords and then I went and I put them into se ranking which is a rank tracker and it has a few other things but I only use it for the rank tracking and right now after doing nothing running one or two campaigns with one major one one very minor one and again I’ll go into strategy exactly what I did this is just showing you the case study and the results that you can get very easily really very easily here is seventy-seven up as of today updated yesterday 37 down that’s not so bad it’s just sort of I’m leaving I’m literally I’ve left it for about a month now so it’s time for another campaign and some more links I’m doing it very very slowly so as you can see a lot of ups look this one went up 27 places how many total what does it said how many it should tell me somewhere the amount I don’t know exactly where it is but it’s look we’ve got eight eleven I mean it’s up a lot a number so uh 77 positions there you go okay but no because this one here is up forty fifty I mean this alone here this is up a lot more than 77 positions I’m not sure where the right info is anyway regardless of that again this is going to be blurred out in the video I’m gonna have in the bottom you’ll see the the less blurred out version showing that their buyer keywords okay so this is again using SEO autopilot at the core with some other very very safe strategies just little safety nets that I’ve used and I’ll share with you and show you exactly I’ve done that so if you’re if you’ve got sites that are really you know you you’re very paranoid to use and you don’t want to just go ahead and blast it I would this is exactly why I’ve done it this way because it’s as safe as it could possibly be and it really works as well so here we have just keywords these will be blurred out but again in below there’ll be a image with all of the so you’ll be able to see reviews reviews reviews and you know by by review before and after ingredients like questions and like money keywords so we have again so it what is so very interesting and what actually prompted me to make this video is I want to motivate people so just you shouldn’t have to just don’t just rely and think it’s it you needs lots of traffic to start seeing results because and and and and also not to just rely on what Google’s telling you especially over here in the webmasters it says eight clicks in the last twenty eight days if we look over here at analytics it’s more than that I mean this is the last ninety days so if we look in the last twenty eight days analytics is saying twenty four users and on average nearly two minutes compared to flipping Korea mean it’s it’s all curated content none of it’s actually written it’s probably about 20 words maximum or I don’t know 10 20 30 words maximum on each page are actually written the rest of it is just curated and and and and again that’s what you’ll see you’ll see exactly how this site has literally cost nothing’s put together it is an expired domain so that’s another little bonus bit of info give you right there that isn’t expired domain you do need to make sure that you know what you’re looking for when you’re picking expired domains and and use them in this way you get to circumvent all of the initial sort of two three four months of you know being really really careful with your sites so and you get instant rankings for really really really easy keywords when using these expired domains instant meaning you know if it’s expired probably about a week you’ll it’ll come out of this little sandbox and and then you know if it’s if it’s never been dropped in that kind but we’re not gonna get into that right now I mean I’m getting up in a little bit Anjan I know the videos starting to get on we’re already about 10 minutes and I want to end it soon and this is how I’m gonna end it you’re actually gonna end it now you’ve seen the small amount of traffic that this site has has got here that it’s saying right so 24 users in the last month search console saying 8 in the last 28 days although it says that it appeared somewhere in results for 300 keywords or so but in the very few of them are actually in the top results the some of them RNA is driving traffic and the reason I know is simply based on my autoresponder because this is actually where the money is really it’s not on the front end building out that it’s not it’s not really on the front end selling these affiliate products because it can be very profitable to do it that way but by building yourself something that’s gonna be a little bit more especially if you’re just building these affiliate sites and so when you see this site you’ll see wow that’s just my pre it’s not a very nice-looking site and however this is what prompted me to actually look into it a little bit more is I noticed one of my streams with it in the autoresponder had 21 leads in it and there was no name so I had to go search through the tags and I found the only tag that I forgot about was when I added a an opt-in page about three weeks ago to this to this case studies I figured you know what I’m getting a couple of hits I might as well add an opt-in form and look at this I added the form just before the 20th I think I think what happened on the round about the 20th is the site started to get a little bit more traffic and as you can see February 20th 2018 this is real time this is happening now every day one or two to three here one on the 22nd 226th 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th and here’s me when I opted in on one of this that’s because I’m already in another list say yeah and there we go look the 20 22nd March 6th up until yesterday March 11 2008 and p.m.
