One thing I genuinely don’t understand is why there needs to be two hp logos on the front of the suit? Like the big one can’t be missed why add another smaller one. It’s so ugly. It’s giving mclaren with its 163829 sponsors on the suit
As much as I hate them, it has been pretty standard, even for Ferrari. Back when it was Mission Winnow, we also had a smaller and big logo on the front, plus another one on the collar:

and another one on the back:

And check out the suit when it was Marlboro:

Three on the front, 1 on each sleeve, a big one on the back, 5 on the helmet, 1 on each side of the cap... Oh, and there was also a massive Marlboro on the back wing.
But because those logos were also red/white, they just blended a lot better on the suit than the HP logos. I suppose we'll have to get used to them though.

Dearest Adrian Newey,
We know we are not worthy of you, but the guy replacing you ignored your wise counsel, and we're suffering because of it. Please return to us. We shall do anything you ask. Our loyalty is pledged to you. We remember our time together most fondly. We know you love looking at the RB20 and thinking, no, knowing you can fix it. We are humbly offering you the chance to do so. We humbly beseech you to think upon this request.

" That leaves Ferrari. It's no secret that they want him there, but the key question is whether or not he would want the upheaval in his life to move to Maranello and deal with the political environment inside the team. " (source)

can i just say something? and i wanna preface by saying fuck both horner and helmut, they can roth in hell together
BUT it drives me insane when i read stuff "if horner goes daniel is fucked cause he was his pick and helmut doesnt like him"
cause it's not true? he was both helmut and horner choice to put him in the at after silverstone and marko is fickle as fuck, one good performance and he'll sing his praises again
idk, i truly think at the end of the day it's only up to daniel, if he performs well he'll get the seat regardless if horner or helmut are gone
Honestly would much rather for Horner and Helmut to be thrown out of the team. Get my zaddy Jonathan Wheatley in.
This man spells competency. I just know he’s going to run that team better than a well-oiled machine. And if Daniel manages to get his shit together and make a successful bid for that seat, at least when the time comes around, no one will blame ‘favouritism’ if he gets the seat …

Looking into the Amanda Newey situation and I have to say it's a lot more nuanced than what it seems.
• Matthew Syed wrote an opinion piece saying Red Bull racing's boycott of Sky and Ted Kravitz is ludicrous. He also said that Lewis Hamilton was robbed BY MASI and that Red Bull and Christian Horner are delusional for pretending otherwise. Syed also believed that Horner saying that their mental health being at risk from the toxic fan abuse is changing the subject from the issue at hand: The robbery, cost cap and Boycott.
•Amanda Newey, Adrian Newey's wife who doesn't work for the team, then chimed in saying that Syed doesn't know what he's talking about and that they have suffered abuse from toxic f1 fans. Which I don't doubt but again, not the issue at hand.
•Amanda then went on to make a series of tweets, one tagging Lewis Hamilton. I take issue with this because 1) Lewis isn't even in on this and 2) he even supported max's boycott.
Tumblr media
Lewis Hamilton fans called her out on this because she is wrong in that case. Then some started to spew messed up stuff to her which I can't get down with because death threats are just too far. Y'all should know better.
this led to Amanda privating her tweets and "proving the toxic f1 culture"!
Some of this might fly right over your heads but y'all fell for the okie doke. This is what they wanted. They wanted to distract from the true issue at hand which is the fact that Lewis was robbed and the boycott is childish. They succeeded.
Now it looks like Red Bull is facing some of the most toxic stuff when that's far from the case. A lot of the criticism is well deserved, especially in regards to the cost cap and 2021 championship debacle.
Red Bull thought people would be siding with them in this and that's not the case. What happened was they flipped the script and now more people are looking at the fan toxicity and not the true issues.
If I were y'all I would stop arguing with the clowns especially if you're sending threats. That's what they want. They want to look like they're innocent victims backed into a corner and not a multimillion dollar team that won a championship they didn't really deserve and got damn near scot-free off of a cost cap for that same year.
Anyway I also think a lot of you need to learn to that you can support your favorite drivers and teams without being completely unhinged and making everything one-sided. This goes for RBR and Merc fans btw.

I think it’s important to remember that the first person to invoke mental health with regards to Red Bull and their shenanigans was Christian Horner.
Should employees and their families be subjected to targeted harassment by people because of a sporting argument that is largely inconsequential outside of the bubble of Formula 1? No, of course they shouldn’t.
But legitimate scrutiny and criticism of a corporation and it’s key players is not wrong. Yes, it’s uncomfortable, and yes, it might be stressful and make you sad, but that’s not an excuse to avoid it, or to attempt to coerce people into not doing it.
Should we stop scrutinising politicians in case it impacts their mental health? Or should we not criticise people who have done things wrong for the same reason? Where exactly does the line get drawn?
