I imagine Shanks whould have trouble fighting in Mihawk's body at first since it's been years since he's had two arms

yes absolutely, i imagine that too! conversely, i think mihawk would have a little bit of trouble adjusting his balance and reach with a body missing one arm, as well. it's interesting to think about how they both would be forced to change their fighting style, and whether or not they would exchange swords.

mihawk's been seen using yoru with just one hand so he could probably pull it off with shanks's body. also interesting to think about shanks tripping up on having two arms until he naturally slips into his old fighting style again--or would he? because there's also the question of muscle memory, right? would mihawk's body automatically do things that shanks isn't predisposed to doing, and vice versa?

the other thing i find intriguing about body swapping in one piece is the question of whether or not your haki powers would switch as well. they say haki is spiritual presence, so presumably your haki switches if your spirits switch, but if it's the kind of spirit that's tethered to the presence of the body? then consider mihawk having the strongest conqueror's haki out on the blues, or shanks being able to use observation haki at mihawk's level, practically being able to predict the future--or mihawk, able to counter with shanks's haki-kill technique. food for thought!

The smell of smoke was unsurprising as you entered your co-worker's apartment. Tip-toeing your way over to Aki's sitting position, you heard him soliloquize his troubles for the night air to carry to God residing in the Heavens, for who else? To ameliorate his mouth—and to distract him—from the addiction which contaminated it, you pinched the paper between your fingers before flicking it away.

Without much regard for your action, he scrunched his nose before huffing and lolling his head round to meet you standing behind him. You released his hair from its confines, caressing the silk strands which fell loose, bending to your hand's commands. Aki's eyes snapped to yours, the sternness of them eliciting an explanation from you.

His eyes enamored you since the tenderness of your friendship. They were steadfast; never shameful to dare make eye contact, lest he lie, or were the propinquity between you too thin, were you to chafe your hands over his, were you to smile at him as if he were worth more than anything—because that affection was certainly not meant for someone like him.

"Your hair is pretty, 's all." A half-truth, but your eavesdropping on his previously expressed sorrows led you to hope that your ministrations beguiled his concerns.

"Do you enjoy it?" The deep lashes adorning Aki's dewy eyes faltered due to the soothing pleasure of your hands gently raking his scalp. You leaned in, deciding to tease the stoic man for mere entertainment. "Or should I stop?" Whispering lips made ghostlike contact with the rim of his ear, the cartilage responding to the touch with red rounding about it.

"Don't..." Exasperation and vulnerability laced his words when you promptly tugged his hair, a poorly muffled gasp was heard, before enunciating himself to reassure his statement. "Don't do that—"

The brief nuance in his tone had you peering into his eyes for any guise he was hiding behind. Your assiduous attention rewarded you; although subtle, you noticed the way his eyes drank in your face, yet failed to meet your eyes. Ah, not so good of a refined liar as he is with his blade; he did like it.

Figuring your current position to be disadvantageous, you sat on the armchair of the seat in which he was languidly situated. Your hands briefly left his hair, returning only to tuck a strand behind his ear. The coolness of your fingertips compared to the heat arising to his ears bemused him, and he meekly lifted his eyes to yours.

A tingling sensation rested upon Aki's face; the longing to be held, cherished, kissed, even—undeniable. Chasing this desire, he lulled you closer to him and you complied; your will was now his, and his yours. His nimble thumb swiped your chapped lips, licking his own in burning fervor. It was when you cradled his face did he feel honored, did he finally lose composure.

Aki's pallid complexion was quickly replaced with that of a tsubaki—a vermilion flower—which sprouted from his cheeks. "Ah— Please—" His quiet plead, tone lilting with desperation, had you surging with joy. Aki waxed in eloquence, but that front fell when faced with your affections. You indulged him.

Gently maneuvering your lips with his, he sighed in a satisfied manner. His body was ostensibly lax, contrasting his previous worrying demeanor. Strong hands settled on your waist, where the stolid man placed you on his lap. You leaned towards his chest, a pillar for troublesome times. Aki handled you with utmost adoration—his hands tenderly chafing over your abashed cheeks, something he had only dreamed of doing, fingers slipping under the curve of your chin to tilt you towards his statuesque posture—and this good-natured gesture warmed your heart.

He delicately weaved intertwined hands into being, the existence of such a small reassurance delighting you.

The once quiescent nature of Aki crumbled, flushed with a fondness that was reserved only for you. You found him to be much like the ocean; placid superficially but a tumultuous sundry of emotions beneath his cloudless cerulean eyes. He refused to let these said emotions spill, opting to contain them by pressing his pleasant lips against yours.

to which ravenstan, feeling very victorious indeed, whipped out his compact mirror ( yes, he does actually carry one around bc he be doing his hot boy guylinea ) was like “see?” SO JERSEY KYLE COULD SEE HIS RED ASS MO’FUCKIN FACE. and kyle, extremely humbled, was like “pfpfppftttt!!! l-listen! I HAVE ROSECEA!!!” he was stutterin, that man never stutters. ravenstan nation.

speaking of ravenstan nation, he did in fact do the stupid stan laugh and one dimple smile at him and bop him on the nose and go “aw, that’s so cute.” <3 AND KYLEEEEE OH MY GOD THAT PLACE WHERE STAN TAPPED HIS NOSE WAS SOOOO RED HELPPPPP.

I’ve seen people do like... full body stickers, so I’m playing around with this kind of style!! I want to draw ven in a similar outfit, and maybe them both in binders too... and another idea I have of them together...
