stumbling through the front door the sticky summer heat almost immediately evaporated behind her, the air conditioning blasting inside. the redhead moves in sync with her twin sister, headed right towards the bar. "at least we finally found one that isn't packed." lily comments, trying to make light of the situation. they were on vacation and apparently everyone else within a 100 mile radius had also wanted to go out tonight because their bar hopping had become closer to bar inching considering they could make it a mere few inches through the door before the amount of people was so overwhelming they had to turn around because they was no way they were getting any drinks - thankfully she had nips in her bag to get them by in the meantime. they approached the bar, both sitting simultaneously before greeting the bar tender with a sweet smile. "i'll take a vodka soda with a splash of cranberry and my sister will take the same but with a splash of orange juice, thanks." lily speaks, before turning her attention back to her sister.

i was just as moved by ellen and thomas as the next guy but it drives me crazy seeing the number of people who are vehemently against the idea that she could also be into orlok as well when the cast and the director have all shared that there’s mutual yearning between them

i honestly think that if they made him pretty and kept bill’s face there wouldn’t even be as much discourse because almost every vampire ever has been portrayed as predatory and monstrous. you just hate the idea that we can like ellen/orlok because he looks “ugly” lol

robert even says himself that she has a husband who loves her and she loves him, but he doesn’t *get* her and that the only two people who do would be von franz and orlok. i did read her as a victim as well but i also see it this way:

abuse can absolutely coexist within their relationship but don’t try to deny that there was romantic or sexual tension there or call us deranged when we do see it. it’s complicated the way vampire and human relations have always been depicted.

like the salvatore brothers and edward cullen were crazy as hell too but nobody ever goes as far as victimizing their love interests this hard or claiming that they “didn’t really want them”

"i guess but i don't know how well it'll go with the other parents if call their child 'stupid glue eater' to their faces." he gives a non-committal shrug, half tempted to actually do it. taken aback, his eyes narrow and jaw drops at the insinuation, though he supposed he should've expected it. most of what he does irks her. she just manages to comment in a semi-civil way. "i acknowledge that i've done bad things but i don't think our daughter regrets her decision."

Listen. Something about loving Earthbread to a point of a fault, but instead of hating the cookies on it like her (and possibly wanting to eradicate them all) Pure Vanilla is so willing to sacrifice himself for everyone and everything.

I am only thinking in vague terms in my head but I could see this cookie being somewhat willing to try and convince Pure Vanilla that this is The Only Way, reaching out to him and seeing that he cares for the animals and plants as well! He loves all of Earthbread too! The cookies are what are tainting it, they are destroying it, they are the ones causing undue suffering, surely he must see that?

And then I thought about Noah's Ark, bear with me.

Like what if she only saw a certain few as being worthy to be able to live on the Beautiful Earthbread, and everything else must be eradicated, flooded, and only the animals and plants can survive the cleansing of the world

But the contrarian in her, who might still love cookies but for all the wrong reasons, might see Pure Vanilla as the only one worthy to stay on the Beautiful new Earthbread, and maybe thinks that she could change him to see her point of view

Sparing him, so he may survive and witness how much better the world is without cookies tainting it and polluting it.

Because, mayhaps to her, since he was worthy of holding her soul jam, he is the only one who understands, who could understand.

One who loves the flowers so, and cares for the sheep like a brother, surely he must see how all of this is turning to waste because of cookiekind! How Dark Enchantress' war path is not only harming cookies caught in the crossfire, but killing the flora and fauna as well! Wouldn't he do anything to stop her?

Like, as with Shadow Milk, she almost doesn't want her soul jam back, not completely. Doesn't see Pure Vanilla as an opposition but as a worthy successor, someone to bring out her plans to fruition with her, where she failed in the past due to the witches interference.

And could possibly do anything to change his mind....

There could be a beautiful world, a pure world where cookies no longer have to suffer because they're all gone and Earthbread can thrive in their absence...

And oh, maybe White Lily can stay as well, since Vanilla seems to care about her so much

It wouldn't do for him to be completely alone on the new Earthbread (sans her)...and maybe he can help her see the truth as well. After all, she is a beautiful flower, and if she's been preserved this long, why not let that go on forever? She could be cleansed of Dark Enchantress and become the beautiful lily she used to be once again...

I have no guesses as to what her previous virtue could be, but just this little snippet alone makes we wish we could have known her.

tashi’s cartier love bracelet is one of her jewelry pieces i’m most curious for the lore behind because the bracelet itself is such an interesting piece. it’s got a special locking mechanism where you can’t put it on or take it off by yourself; it needs to be screwed into place and comes with a special tiny screwdriver to do it. the act of putting it on or taking it off requires a whole other person to help. the official website even says that part of the symbolism behind the locking design is to show that “love is not to be taken lightly.”

so what’s the story behind tashi’s bracelet? was it a gift from art? was it the first piece of expensive jewelry he bought her when he could afford it? did he give it to her after he won his first slam title? on their wedding day? their first anniversary? her birthday? the day lily was born? these are the kinds of details about this movie and these characters’ lives that i’m dying to know and get so wrapped up in.

I'm not much of a horror girlie, and my husband absolutely isn't, but from a filmmaking perspective it is so cool, and you are so so brilliant in it. Calla was Lila's fairy godmother in agos and made her have an unexpected Cinderella moment when she wanted a disguise to attend the party. Calla believed Lila wanted to get pretty for Kell because she assumed they were together so she gave her the dress and did her hair and make up and subtly told her: go get him, tiger <3 Bring Kell's guard down he will fall even more for you it will make him look stupid and at the end of the night he would 100% want to rip this dress off you like the feral kitties that you both are

When Lilith pulled panels of fabric and bags of materials out of the back of her Uber, she didn't think about people watching her like she looked insane. Running her teeny tiny boutique in Hell's Kitchen was her dream and every piece of lingerie was something she'd dreamt up or made to help someone else's dreams come true. She didn't have employees and if she needed a pair of hands she harassed her siblings into being those people. Littlest sibling perks, she called it. Nevertheless, eyes were on her as she bent over the back seat in her tiny denim cut offs. Stumbling into her shop once she got the door unlocked, Lili struggled to the back where she made garments to dump her goods. They'd hardly left her arms before she heard the door chime. "Coming!" She hollered, breathless, and then hustled their way.

Stopping in her tracks, rosy cheeked and doe-eyed, Lilith looked up-up-up the length of the man in her shop, "Hi there. You looking for something special?" Her voice was soft and she cleared her throat, "I just got back in for the day. I usually look more put together than this." She didn't, but he didn't need to know that. Her sisters were always telling her that she needed to stop wearing cut up shorts, dying her hair plum purple, and knotting vintage tees at her waist. They'd even tried gifting her comfortable minimalist attire to get her through her time with clients. At the end of the day, Lili let her work speak for itself.
