WTW CHARACTER WEEK day 01 ↳ protagonists ; the 4 main povs of knights

ONCE UPON A TIME, there is a devil king. He had a table of soldiers under his command: loyal, just, and willing to do anything. One day, the devil king was amused by their loyalty, and asked them one by one what they wanted more than anything in life, then he would construct plans to help them obtain that.

i. serafine — the first soldier was a courageous, strong lion. she wanted to be a leader, and so the devil gave her the names of all those under his command, to puppet those in power from behind the curtain. controlling them would grant the lion her power.

ii. aredhel — the third was a wise eagle. she wanted to prove her worth and find her place in the devil’s kingdom and he gave her the keys to his kingdom, to guard and stand firm before the gates of hell: the keeper of the labyrinth.

iii. maribelle — the fourth was a shark with teeth sharp as knives. she wanted to play a hero. and the devil king let her run through the streets in wild abandon, bringing those deemed unworthy to their knees and dragging them into the drowning depths of his kingdom.

iv. storm — the sixth and seventh were a pair of sly, crafty foxes, they wanted to crush all enemies in the dark and seize the world for themselves. the devil gave them the keys to his secret vault, opening a world of possibilities and ambitions, so they could rob the world, keeping the fortunes to themselves.

TAG NINE PEOPLE YOU’D LIKE TO KNOW BETTER !

1. favorite colors: grey, black, white —— i have some colors i prefer, but i have a shade differentiation color blindness, so it's all base colors to me unless heavily satured. you can see my color preferences in my psd choices across my blogs.

2. favorite flavors: salty, spicy, umami, sweet —— i have a broad palate, there isn't a lot i dislike. lemon and cherry are heavy preferences for fruity flavors.

3. favorite genres: horror, fantasy, slice of life, anything that's like nostalgic, sociopolitical, etc. i like romance sometimes, but more shoujo than live action.

4. favorite music: very broad, from run the jewels to tracy chapman to stray kids and block b to mia to just about anything. i even have a few country tracks i like. i'm a huge rap, r&b, jazz, and blues fan. i love anything in the lofi genre, vaporwave, and ambient nosises.

5. favorite movies: the lion king is my all-time favorite movie (thus hamlet my favorite play). i enjoy like all horror slasher series like jason, michael, freddy, etc. so it's hard to pick and choose, but i'm a huge freddy vs jason fan.

6. favorite series: bioshock, death note, danganronpa, mob psycho 100, kny, kingdom hearts, ouran (my wife does a lot of ouran fanart and products for our booth and store!), animal crossing, cowboy bebop, inuyasha, yu yu hakusho,

7. last song: bad girls by mia

8. last series: for games, bioshock infinite. for anime, i think like mob psycho or something. for manga, yu yu hakusho. for live action shows, i think we finished riverdale (listen, i love hate-watch that show, it's a guilty pleasure and i had to know as a true archie fan what the hell was going on, i already started so i wasn't going to stop)

9. last movie: i think it was maybe like the puss in boots movie or the mario movie or something, we did a binge watch to catch up on some animated films recently, but it could have been a random film from streaming lbr

10. currently reading: i'm about to start no longer human when i finally have the time 

11. currently watching: yu yu hakusho rewatch, currently

12. currently working on: the manga (writing by me, art by ottermelon) that's associated with the lore and canon of the blog hehosts, making perfumes and colognes for my new series lines, restocking our store, and getting ready to leave for many cons these next three months. does that count?

So a quick PSA to all those Shadowpeach shippers out there.

What you're doing is basically incest.

Need proof? Well I got plenty of it.

First, the original telling of Journey to the West. There's this little small tidbit of information. That I actually have a picture of!

If you can't read it, it's Wukong swearing brotherhood with seven different demon kings at his old Flower-Fruit mountain. There's the Demon Bull King, Dragon-Monster, Roc-Fiend, Lion-Camel, and Giant Ape.

But look a little closer and what do ya see?

Yep

Macaque.

Now, they aren't brothers by blood, but as my best friend (who is Chinese and has studied their culture extensively) has told me, swearing brotherhood with someone is basically the same as being blood related.

People in China take these things very seriously. Which is why Shadowpeach would never be a thing that would happen. Even in aus. They're sworn brothers, and they don't even feel that way about each other.

Look, I know y'all want ya gay tropes and ships, but can you leave this fandom alone? You have PLENTY of others to annoy. But this show is based on an ancient Chinese story about an allegory of enlightenment. You cannot just go and mess with the characters like this.

So take your queerwashing bullshit and shove it.

Also, just read the book. There's a free PSD version of it online. Or you can spend like $100 to get the physical version. It's not like these things don't exist in said book.
