As with most of MAC’s satin lipsticks it’s a pleasure to wear, none drying and feels silky smooth to apply.

I find some browns can be a little too dark and over powering for my skin tone but thankfully the because of the muted rosy hue and warm undertones it is surprisingly wearable despite me being a little pale, crisis averted. Whirl is a medium to dark rosy brown satin finish and when I first swatched it, I had a moment of panic as it was a lot darker than it looked online. So, when I won a £25 Debenhams voucher at work I thought I’d treat myself to another of MAC’s cult nude lipsticks Whirl and picked up the matching lip liner to team it with. I’ve gone from only owning Velvet Teddy because it was a cult product ( anyone else do this?!) and leaving it barely used for a good three months to having a massive collection of nude lipsticks including a massive haul of Kylie Jenner-esque ones from Colour Pop (but more on that in another post.). Trust us, your lips will thank you.Over the last year, the amount of nude lipsticks in my collection has grown rapidly.

This is the ultimate beauty deal of 2018. Imagine getting 3 MAC lipsticks for just PHP1,300! This is all thanks to the #MacxLazada collaboration.

You’ve probably heard of Lazada’s 11:11 sale. If not, it’s a date - specifically Nov 11 - where you can get massive discounts and deals in Lazada’s website. It’s the perfect opportunity to get the items in your wishlist. If you’ve missed 11:11, Lazada has an upcoming sale on Dec 12 (12:12, lol).

Since MAC Cosmetics is a seller in the site, they naturally have amazing deals. They have various stuff on sale but the one I got is the most splendid of them all. The MAC package I got is solely sold in Lazada only so online shopping is the only way to get this deal. Moreover, you can only get this during a Lazada sale. Not sure if it’ll still be available on 12:12.

For just PHP1,300, you’ll be getting 3 lipsticks. Yep, you’ve read that right. T-H-R-E-E! Anyone who buys at MAC stores knows that a MAC lipstick costs approximately PHP1,050. So when you get 3 lipsticks for the price of PHP1,300, you know that’s hell of a great save on your money.

It comes with a beautiful silvery box. I’m not sure why “Shiny Pretty Things” is etched on the box because the lipsticks I got are not part of that collection. Maybe the box was just used as a security from damages? *shrugs*

I repeat, you can only get this from the Lazada website and not anywhere else.

You’re probably wondering, “Why is it PHP1,300 only for 3 lipsticks?”. Well, that’s because you’ll be getting 2 mini-sized matte lipsticks and 1 free full-sized liptensity lipstick. You’ll be able to choose the pair of mini-sized but you won’t be able to pick the shade of the liptensity.

In case you don’t know, MAC is already selling mini-sized versions of the best-selling matte lipsticks. The shades range from Ruby Woo to Mehr. Each mini costs PHP600. Honestly, I’m preferring the mini than the full-sized version since it’s way cheaper and there’s a decent amount of lipstick that can make it last for years.

Last time I checked in Lazada, there are 3 different pairs of mini-sized lipsticks in this deal. I decided to settle for the Chili-Diva combo since I don’t have these shades in my possession.

Unfortunately, something terrible caught my attention. The exterior of the box has bits of dents and rips. I feel like this is the fault of Lazada since MAC is very particular when it comes to their products.

The matte formula is pretty standard. There’s nothing much to say about it because MAC mattes are highly popular and they all have the same great formula.

Since you have no idea what Liptensity shade you’re going to get, everything is left to chance. Honestly, what Lazada gave me isn’t the shade I was praying for. I actually wanted Smoked Almond (although I doubt they’re going to hand this for free!) but I got Double Fudge instead.

MAC Liptensity has a different formula and packaging. If you want highly pigmented MAC lipsticks, the Liptensity line would give you that. Expect mind-blowing vivid color after just one swipe.

The formula has a creamy finish. Don’t expect the lipstick to last long as a matte one but there’s still going to be bits of the shade, making your lips look like it has tint.

BTW, this shade is limited edition so don’t expect the color to be available in some stores.
