(Apparently) unpopular opinion: heartstopper is not cringe 💁🏼♂️ it’s just not.
Like can queer people just be happy and in love without everyone calling it cringe? God. Just sit down and let us have this.

Just popping in to note this neat wardrobe trick:
Darcy and Tara's party outfits in this scene have no reflective elements, no sequins, glitter, or jewels, regardless of the angle of the lighting.
But on the dance floor . . .
That's all! ✨

HOW DID I MISS THIS?!?! Charlie is wearing Nick’s gold shirt…
They handed it to me in the same montage, on a platter, and I STILL missed it!!!

I really love how Charlie just says "No" and shuts the door in Harry's face, and later delivers the speech he gives Harry in the comics to Ben. Out of all of the differences between the comics and the show, this is probably my favorite (other than, of course, how side-characters have been given more screen-time and development). Harry is a homophobe that frankly isn't worth the time and effort of a speech. Absolutely iconic. But Ben? Ben deserves to be told exactly what he's done. Ben didn't do a single thing in the whole show that wasn't somehow self-serving. He hasn't figured himself out, or his parents are homophobic, or he's "going through some shit"? That is not an excuse to ignore consent. And frankly, I'm sure it's nice if Charlie got through to him and he maybe corrects his future behavior, but I'm more interested in the likelihood that finally saying all of that out loud to Ben was probably emotionally beneficial to Charlie. I really hope it was. That boy deserves a win in the face of the people that have abused him.
