Two days ago my older sibling the jeweler was going in for a routine check up with his Dr. and did a major face plant in the hospital parking lot. Broke his leg just above the knee. Surgery was yesterday. He had a heart attack on the table during the operation to fix kis knee. Off to the cardiac lab shortly after he got out of the recovery room they drug him off to the heart lab and put a temporary stint in while they decide what to do with him. The decision is open heart or quality time in the cardiac catheterization lab. They wanted me to bring in my copy of his advanced directive.

For now they are keeping him comfortably numb.
