Uro just arrived at the Jackdaw hotel he decided to rent a room there for a month while he was on vacation "oh finally away from everything" he saod as he walked up to the door and entered the hotel

Business had been slow, but that wasn’t uncommon. That’s what you get for having some manor turned hotel in the middle of the mountains and Fox really liked that about the hotel; its isolation and the magic that came with it. She really liked it, for the most part. It had been boring the past week with no new faces around. The other monsters could easily get on her nerves and the people who came to Jackdaw were usually so interesting. So when Luke said there was a guest coming and she was to greet them, she was more than ready.

She was at the large lobby desk when the doors opened and she sat up from her seat, her tail whipping behind her and smile wide and welcoming. “Hi, welcome to Jackdaw,” her sing song tone rung out before she properly stopped to look at the guest. It wasn’t often that she had seen lizard folk before, but she had read about them and the first intrusive thought she heard whispered in her mind was two dicks.

She cleared her throat, brushing her fingers through her bangs while settling herself again. “You must be Uro, I’m Foxglove, but please call me Fox. I’m going to check you in and get you settled.”

4. If you had to hop in a car right now and drive / be driven somewhere, where would you go? To the indoor swimming pools! Or maybe I would just drive aimlessly, driving is scary but it's also pretty fun occasionally.

8. What underrepresented creature do you most want a plushie of? Okay uhh, besides the beluga sturgeon, the marine reptiles, and the tunas and billfish... A big cuddly spider with thick long legs. Maybe it's just that I haven't seen them, but spiders are often reserved for "hard toys" and purposely very frightening toys, not plushies! Either a fluffy plushie or more of a fleece-textured plushie of a spider would be wicked!

13. Favorite texture(s) and/or material(s)? Fluffy things, extremely smooth things, soft malleable things that give in when squeezed like sweet liquorice. Does water count as a material? I also like feeling the surface tension on my palm, I like repeatedly pressing my hand lightly on the surface of the water to feel it stick to my hand and slightly resist me pressing my hand all the way down.

Uro was currently striking at a training dummy with a wooden sword swinging as hard and as fast as he could as his new trainer Ingrid watched over him. He'd grunt with each swing as the wooden sword crashed against the dummy. He could feel her intense gaze on his back watching his every move to find flaws in his style

Ingrid was standing not far from where Uro was practicing. Her arms crossed and with one hand holding a wooden sword of her own, the hell knight watched her protege continued to go at it.

“Watch your wrists Uro. You don’t want to end up breaking it in the midst of your swings.”

ok apologies in advance for how much i yapped:

titsatotmwstw stands for “the incredible true story and transformation of the man who saved the world”! it’s the longform/full title of the 2015 hip hop space opera concept album “the incredible true story” by rapper bobby hall aka logic, and i use the full acronym bc otherwise i would just be tagging my posts as “tits” lmfao (logic, for context, is an artist who gets clowned on often for having one very popular very bad corny album, which i think is valid and always funny. but the rest of his discog is actually good to me. to MEEE)

the incredible true story is a beautiful stellar incomparable album with banger song after banger song interspersed with scenes depicting the adventure of two guys on a space mission and their ship’s AI. it deals with themes of freedom and desire under capitalism, cycles of abuse both interpersonal and ecological, and, most importantly, being a fucking nerd. about a week ago logic dropped the sequel album “ultra 85” which has been in the works at least publicly for seven years!!! very exciting news for annoying people (me) it expands on the first album and also touches on finding your people, going to therapy to fix your dumb brain, owning your past without becoming a monument to it, and Acclaimed Director Quentin Tarantino. thomas and kai’s actors reprise their roles and there are some fun darling new faces

and i ALSO found out (from my coworker who was interrupting this info by laughing at me for liking logic. rachel if youre out there) that mr bobby hall is publishing a book based on the incredible true story (VERY exciting news for annoying people)!!! i knew he had a novel but was supremely uninterested except now that he’s apparently beating me to the thomas/kai fanfic game i gotta get my hands on that thang

this is 8 yrs long but if u or anyone else is interested i can talk about the actual characters and story and why its so interesting to me but rly you should listen to the album its so insane
