Idk new post bc the last lost traction, no donations in a week. We need 450 for the rest of February, 450 for a deposit, and 950 for March, 50 for the rest of the utilities. We were homeless since Aug 2020 excepting 4 different months whose places fell through for various reasons, have to get rid of the van we were living in because it's falling apart, Collie got FFS December 28th, she's recovering well and maybe could do something with a car if we had a better car, given her ability to drive. I still haven't found much work but I'm still looking. Anything helps.

#my aunt's akita has a cancerous tumor #and you would not believe the price of each chemo session #my aunt is a firefighter and a single mother raising a 13yo daughter #the price of each chemo session is almost her full salary #and he's gonna need many #she said he's fine for now and not suffering and the only thing she can do is pay for the euthanasia when the time comes #it's so fucking heartbreaking. he's such a good dog #I thought well maybe she could ask for donations but it would take so many donations just to pay for 1 session #and then what about the next ones yk?#what is she gonna do. get a loan and sink herself further into debt? she's already trying to pay for a house #it's just. not viable #sleep.txt #I have no idea how to process this yk I watched that dog grow up #he's always been my aunt's baby. hii it's been awhile since i've given any updates about what's going on with me but!!! i think we're moving back to oregon at some point. and i'm gonna make grad school happen. i'm so yhappy

#i'm going to oregon sometime this quarter but it's gonna break my heart because i have to leave again #idk the col is so much higher there than here. you can buy a whole three bedroom house for $200k here #a 3 bed in oregon is at least twice that #and rent is insane. $1100 for a beautiful 3 bed here. or twice that for something less nice in oregon #well. not HERE here jesus the suburbs are expensive. but in central pa where we're thinking of moving #which is like.... the best place to retire in the country? what's with that. low col probably LOL #and lately i've been feeling so..... lost? the ego death i went through in 2023 was incredible #and like. do i NEED to go to grad school to get a well-paying job in my field? no i have almost 7 yoe #but i'm missing feeling good at something. and the networking. and the portfolio work i can do. so it wouldn't be about employablility #though that helps. idk i'm gonna try to get my undergrad loans paid off as much as i can (only 30k left on the ones in my name 🫠) this year #while working on freelance projects and all that. it just feels good having a direction that doesn't feel completely hopeless #because it's been so bleak lately. like. got laid off from an agency i poured my soul into (not doing that again unless it's my own)#experienced something deeply personal and destabilizing i don't feel comfortable sharing #moved across the country while i didn't have a job and was processing that trauma to a place where i know no one #i got so lonely and so alone that i thought i would die. i didn't really have anyone to turn to while i did the work of reliving #started drinking a lot to cope bc i didn't have a medical card. was truly miserable. got a medical card. wasn't miserable anymore #and now i'm working and less anxious and feeling supported and stable in my relationship. and i feel myself coming back to myself.#it's been so hard but i'm so glad to be seeing the end of it. and to see good things and happy things in that

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY APPLY FOR SAVE BEFORE OCTOBER

I was on an income driven repayment plan that nevertheless was going to be over $200 when it came due. Under SAVE, it dropped to $32 a month. And that isn't even the important part. Y'all. Please listen. That isn't even the important part. The important part is that there's no interest, and anything you don't pay after 10+ years after your degree is forgiven.

It's LITERALLY a debt forgiveness plan. Under SAVE, I will actually pay LESS than had the $10k debt forgiveness gone through. This is... like look I know we don't like Biden on tumblr.gov, but this isn't just really good, it's also really funny.

There's *more steps* which means people who don't know won't see the benefits. There's more hassle, more bureaucracy. But it will, for a significant portion of loan holders (and especially those most vulnerable) save people more than had the debt forgiveness plan just gone through instead. So apply! Share this info with everyone you know!

between my computer deciding to rebel, and work, and life, and I feel like I have a perpetual minor cold with that kinda slightly stuffy feel and that taste in the back of my throat,

I am kindly requesting someone to just Old Yeller me at this point

#the computer one is pissibg me off particularly because i Just built this shit two years ago #then i do a driver update a couple of weeks ago and start noticing that now if i game and watch a stream at the same time #some windows process starts choking the fucking life out of my CPU after a couple of hours #and after following a chain of looking shit up i get to ghe event viewer #and there's just a nonstop parade of errors for typically one or two things #at this point i drag my dad in because im out of my depth #i do some more shit. i update and reflash the bios. i check drivers 500 times. i reformat the drive and reinstall windows from scratch.#even if it seems okay for a bit it eventually starts shitting out errors again.#they are either about DeviceGuard or complaining about the network #i look up some more things! i find some references but they tell me to turn off or on some things that are already enabled or disabled.#we begin thinking theres something wrong with the network part of the motherboard #i have an adapter we grabbed from work to try when i get home.#if that doesnt work then i am buying a new motherboard cpu memory and cpu cooler #because if im going to have to fucking replace shit then i might as well upgrade #part of me wants to keep the old stuff and set up a new computer and try troubleshooting because puzzle. and i hate not knowing WHAT PART #SPECIFICALLY is fucked #bro i am so TIRED #i JUST did the math a few weeks ago and was like YES if i live on ramen for a few pay cycles i will pay off my credit card and start saving #to put toward my student loans when those start up again. and my computer went 'lol thats cute'#like i am deathly afraid that i will replace all this shit and it'll STILL have this issue #like. it's useable. i could live with it. but it's clearly not normal behavior and that's what bothers me. something is clearly wrong.#not to sound old but remember when shit just fuckin worked #like i sat there for 5 hours yesterday trying different shit. finally thought i had fixed something. go to bed. wake up.#STREAM OF ERRORS for the network thing again every few minutes while i was asleep.#what are you DOING. what is WRONG WITH YOU.#my dad is looking over my shoulder at the event viewer like 'that looks like a SQL statement but why is it failing etc etc'#EXCELLENT QUESTION AND I ONLY UNDERSTOOD THREE OF THOSE WORDS! why is my computer sick!!#no it's not a virus. i promise. i was raised better than that #it FEELS like something fundamentally broke. it feels like a hardware thing. but how. what fucking demons did microsoft summon #in a driver update. that went into my computer and physically broke my shit
