Goodmorning Houses
Continuing the story of the Sharma and Parajuli families and our task of land development and Vision of their jointly acquired thirteen ropanis land nestled amidst the awe-inspiring panorama of the Himalayas: we present to you The Good Morning Houses in Buchakot, Kavre.
The crafting of the land:
Inspired from our own action architecture in Suntakhan (2020) and Turiyam, we proposed land stabilization using a series of gabion wall. This technique is not only cost effective the land between the gabion walls can be used for landscape/plantation.
Strategically implementing culverts, swales alongside facilitates continued water flow tackling watershed management head-on.
Intensifying Flora:
The landscape essence of the land area is further enhanced by carefully selected indigenous plant species. Utis which help in adding stability to slopes that tend to slip and erode will provide canopy of sun-filtering shade to coffee and cardamom. Moist loving plants like orchids, Zephyr lily, orange lily day blooms near the watershed area while roses, Kahili Ginger, Pink Dhatura flourishes in the sunlight.
Thorny Agavaceae and cacti were strategically placed to act as a natural boundary, adding both beauty and security to the site.
Locating two cottages:
After dividing the land equally for the both families; and finding the best option for road access is from the northeast part of the land the focus was on creating a harmonious living space. The Sharma family cottage is placed at the level of +1416 m with North-east orientation. Meanwhile the Parajuli family the cottage placement is at + 1420 m with pure east orientation. The road weaving tales of connection and camaraderie between the family, complete with enough parking spots for both.

All the preparation work and setting out has been done. Now let us hope for an equally careful, sensitive and pro-ecology implementation.

Okay so I've been wanting to tell you that you're literally my favourite twst artist 😭🩷
So my question is, how do you manage to come up with these funny comics? CUZ I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
(P.s: Lovin' the art style ✨)
oh geeze, thanks! 💚💚💚 I'm really glad people enjoy my stupid sense of humor; mostly I just draw things to make myself laugh, and if it makes other people laugh too, then bonus points! usually it's just one joke or mental image that gets stuck in my head (every time I saw Fellow spin his cane, all I could think about was him go-go-gadgeting away on it...) and in my quest to justify it, it picks up other jokes and bits along the way and usually doesn't even end up as the main focus anymore. entire narrative arcs have spun out just so I could use a single bad pun in a throwaway line. this is a terrible way to explain it but I'm not sure how else to put it into words!
and sometimes it's just "weird things my sister has said that I make fun of her for"
#twisted wonderland#reposting old art but i will never not make fun of her for her incredibly pretentious opinions about the local mall's architectural design#yuu listening to malleus be weird about buildings is supposed to be relateable right#that said this is also the only place i get to talk about twst so it is also just...a lot of my thoughts spilling out everywhere#(sorry other fandoms)#(i have spaces where i can debate the various merits of himeno/rita versus morfonia/rita)#(the correct answer is that rita has two hands but i digress)#but where else can i talk at length about these anime disney dipshits who have flawless eyeliner and zero emotional intelligence#me at the top of my lungs: you don't understand that's his DAD#the group dm: w...what are you talking about#there's gonna be a few posts today sorry#gotta get some stuff out before the update tonight/tomorrow morning/whatever happens and becomes all i think about for the next week

"very few Victorian homes survive! just pop buildings from that era with some Victorian elements stuck on!"
I am going to beat whoever convinced the world at large that Victorian is an architectural style, not just a time period
dude, you live in Boston. your apartment, dentist, hairdresser/barber, and favorite cafe are all probably in Victorian buildings because Victorian just means "a building constructed between 1836 and 1901"
#architecture#there are multiple styles within the Victorian ERA but there is no singular Victorian Style#this was in the context of me wishing more local buildings were built to blend with the old construction around here#because buddy even a triple-decker from 1896- AKA A Victorian Building -has more beauty than a shoddy glass tower#that will start breaking down in six months

taking matters into my own hands and giving us the gongaga we deserved
#me? gongaga more like MY gongaga. it's mine now. since squeenix can't be trusted.#god forbid they allow worldbuilding in this series#the rainy foggy atmosphere from the og is very important to me... i brought back the purple hue that stuck with me from my first playthrough#and i made the houses cramped and small like the og too#plus the architecture now takes the local climate more into consideration. downpour harsh winds hot and humid etc.#ideally they would be thatch houses but i wanted to keep the original brick because it's memorable#also i gave cissnei an outfit that doesn't make me want to bonk my eyeballs with a toy hammer#though i let her keep some of the Belts That Do Nothing#sotetsu's design is almost identical to canon. to drive home the point that cissnei did NOT have to look like that LMAO#so YEAH! deleting rebirth gongaga from my brain and replacing it with this version now. jsyk#ffvii#cissnei#sotetsu#my art <3

To other English people, stop saying "England has no culture", it is actively harming us. There is a reason the Tories defunded the arts and heritage sectors whilst scapegoating immigrants. The fear that immigrants will come and destroy Englishness is only working as the government is literally trying to actively wipe it out. If we a) recognise the things that are distinctly cultural (eg architecture styles) and b) actively participate in the traditions you're always told are silly (Morris and Molly dancing, scarecrow competitions and folk songs), it will actually make us better as a country and more difficult to divide via classism, racism and xenophobia
To be extra clear, these traditions are for everyone, queer people, imagrants and anyone of any faith (including Islam).
The deliberate eroding of our folklore/traditions by conservatives (both big and little c) is allowing for the insecurities weaponised by the types of Tommy Robinson against imagrants. These traditions and folklore do still need challenging from a modern critical lense (like how blackface has been removed from Morris dancing). Nor should they be preserved exactly how they used to be, because folklore and customs have always changed with the times. Having a good understanding of our past, critically understanding and accepting of the problems in it will absolutely contribute to decolonisation. Hopefully, having a solid grasp of our own traditions and folklore in a meaningful positive way will allow us to step back from clinging desperately to the parts of Welsh, Scottish and Irish culture we cling to because we don't think we have our own. Doing so will also hopefully allow for more support of the Welsh, Scottish and Irish independence movements. Also, it will hopefully stop the rampant cultural appropriation of other sacred traditions - it's ridiculous that modern wiccans believe that smudging with a non native plant (white sage) that's being driven to extinction by over harvesting will clear any sort of bad luck.
#they speak#england#english culture#sincerely someone who's tired#yes we have traditional folk costumes and folklore and architecture styles and chruch traditions#our language is cultural - just because it is now a (forced) lingua franca don't forget that#please just go to a local museum or library and pick up a book of local folklore and history#go to the slightly shit village or town fête and watch the slightly shit morris dancers - do you know why they're slightly shit?#bc they're all Old. they're the only ones really actively participating in it#londoners especially stop doing this - of course you think there's no culture if you've never actually left london and actively participate#*participated in it

in todays news of asinine bullshit discourse on tiktok: apparently there's a hot debate over whether or not you're entitled to nice greetings and conversations with cashiers/retail workers. and. now here's the kicker. whether or not thinking no one's entitled to the pleasantries of an overworked exhausted employee is counterintuitive to the idea of a "third space". yes this is real life
#''ermmm if you don't think cashiers should say 'hi! how are you! 😊' then you don't REALLY want third spaces''#when is the last fucking time you've stepped foot in your local library. do you know where your public parks are.#if somehow the biggest affront to the idea of a 'third space' you can think of is a grumpy/quiet cashier ringing up your shit at walmart#and not the increasing commodification of nearly all aspects of public life. or anti-homeless/hostile architecture.#or the exploitation/underpaying/overworking of workers like that grumpy cashier that make it fucking damn near impossible for them#to actually GO to a ''third space'' outside of work because they're fucking exhausted or don't have the money to go out#then you need to step back and re-evaluate what your idea of a ''third space'' really fucking means#mine
