principal difference between hellblazer/nbc constantine and 2005 keanu constantine imo, besides keanu constantine being american, is their attitudes toward food.

hellblazer/nbc constantine: pub food and hearty shit, meat and potatoes and stews and fish. appreciates a good meal, the effort/time it takes to cook it, and the social rituals that revolve around it. also has a taste for the finer things in life and will scam his way into high-end restaurants to fuck around and embarrass everyone there while eating goooood keanu constantine: runs on dunkin, lox bagels, and not much else. cannot keep things in his fridge or they will rot before he remembers to eat them. obliterates a mcdonalds hash brown in a single bite

If any of the masters live in that tower alongside them (highly doubt it since Merry hates the masters and probably made threats to get that tower to themself. But who knows) they must be a nuisance at this time of year. Locking down the tower and refusing any strangers entry. My parents are looking at flats in a building built in 1912 that the Wrigley's used to live in and it's basically my dream renovation project. There are two adjacent units that could be combined. There's a massive bay window. There are 6 fireplaces and twelve foot ceilings and crown mouldings to die for.

i was just listening to someone new by hozier which reminded me of something that's been knocking around the back of my brain for the past few days. i think when i first listened to the song i interpreted it as solely romantic love that hozier was talking about and then never thought about it any further. but then i went to his london concert last week and heard it live for the first time and something in my brain shifted. i previously thought that i couldn't really relate to the song - or any romantic songs really - because i've never felt romantic feelings towards anyone and probably never will. my brain finally realised that when you fall in love with someone, it doesn't have to be romantic love, and that i've fallen in love with many people but it was platonic or some other type of love - not romantic. and that, yeah, i actually do fall in love with someone new everyday because people are so cool and i fall in love with their sense of style or their laugh or the way they sign their name or any number of other things. i may be super pessimistic and say that i hate the world and such, but i genuinely do think that people make it better and that we all have the capacity to make someone else's day better.

But I also want to get back a little to physical media because like, one of my favorite movies is impossible to find legally here, and there's also an album that made me so happy but the artist removed it from spotify like a week after I found it - which is just... not a problem with physical media....
