Tomdaya Timeline

I never intended to be a blogger. I simply wanted to know if my instincts about TZ were right.  When I saw Tom Will Smith Z during the HOCO press tour in 2017, I was almost certain they were a couple.  Imo, a man doesn't look at a woman like Tom looked/looks at Z unless he's in love with her. So I created this Tumblr account and started posting some receipts with the intent of sleuthing the truth.  With the help of the content shared in volume 1 of the Tomdaya timeline, I believed beyond a shadow of a doubt that TZ were indeed Tomdaya. 

When 1.0 ended, I came this close 🤏 to deleting the blog, but @destinyc1020 convinced me to leave my account open so that people could still view the timeline and archived TZ content.  I did so not knowing that 2.0 was just around the corner.

Today, thanks to Law’s confirmation on the Drew Barrymore Show, the timeline is complete.  It’s been five years since I began the timeline.  There’s nothing left to prove, but for those who enjoy it, I'll continue updating the timeline until TZ marry 🤞, and then maybe create one final timeline which will mark major milestones in their lives together (e.g., children).

Who spent 3 whole months apart (because of Covid restrictions) but still managed to keep the rs alive (virtual painting dates like hello??) and when they reunited they quite literally broke the Internet because of how clingy they were. Like that's just part of their lives ?? Part of a lot of couple lives actually but that doesn't mean the relationship is not strong or anything. They can exist without the other for a few moments. the funniest thing about this is that it's not just the less than 10 antis and the weirdo individual stans that you're describing here; half the people in the collective tz/tomdaya fandom (who are hiding behind faceless anon accounts) are like this as well. the panic and strange discourse comes from all these people combined. every. single. time.

I just do not understand why it's so hard to just follow a couple, not think about it too much, and go on with your life lmao. but like you said, maybe some of them really haven't been in relationships before and much of the projections stem from that.

Like, Tomdaya tumblr would probably notice if their families all ended up in the same place at the same time, because we are good at putting pieces together, but tabloids don’t go that deep.

I don’t think it is possible for them to keep a traditional wedding private. There are so many components to a wedding that involve numerous people, and in addition to that, we live in the world of social media where news travels fast. Honestly, I don’t know how they would even plan it without it being revealed.

We mention current young actors but there are even more short actors from the older generations. Like no one talks about Al Pacino as a “short king” even when he is paired with taller women (which almost all women are taller than him when they are wearing heels since he is listed as 5’6” which means it is safe to say he is at most 5’5”).

It is Tom who has got the most “flack” about his height and I do think most of it is due to mob mentality in social media. Twitter users are a mindless HERD! One sheep bleats and the rest echo like in an echo chamber. It is like people notice things more so, when those things are pointed out to them by others. Obviously all you need is eyes to notice she is taller than him but to make such a continuous joke out of it is the result of mob mentality.

There have been many other celeb couples with same or even more height difference but it takes a handful people to start the “short long/pegging” narrative for it to spread like virus. And most people under 25 love repeating whatever the current chatter/slang/catchphrase is. Perhaps to chill out a bit from Twitter, I'll look at it all with a more pleasant eye. I, for one, didn't think we'd be watching this year as the two, among others, spend a month-long vacation ONLY FOR TWO and look even more in love with each other afterwards than they were. In fact, throughout the year they have shown us before our eyes the settling down mode, I'm talking, of course, about how they moved this year between two continents and basically lived together on both of them.

Just as they started this year by being on this vacation, they will end it in London, where they have already spent Christmas and will spend the New Year. With each other by their side. ❤️🥰

I know you didn’t ask an anon’s opinion, but if they do another trilogy with Tom and Zendaya I don’t actually want MJ and Peter getting back together. Maybe this is just me wanting to vindictively get back at the tomdayas infesting the fandom with their obsessive celebrity shipping but idc. MJ should not just be very present in the trilogy, but plot relevant as well. But I don’t think they should get back together. I hate the fated lovers trope. Every other iteration of them has to work hard to make the relationship work. And Peter had demonstrated in NWH’s ending that he has major issues with loss that he has to deal with first, and until he figures that out he can’t put in that kind of effort for a relationship. And I don’t want mj waiting around for him to figure it out. She has her own life and her own issues, and she deserves better than to be dragged down by Peter Parker. By the end of the trilogy I’d ideally like them to be friends and present in each others lives, but comfortably romantically involved with other people. And who knows. They’re young. Maybe in their mid thirties they’ll try again. But I don’t want that immediate reconciliation that I dread we’re going to get anyway.

There’s a lot to unpack here.

I’ll say (and have been on record for saying) that the tomdayaification of spideychelle is one of the worst things to come from fandom. (Not thee worse, that would be the racism and misogyny of irondad, but damn is it up there.)

It’s weird and creepy and gives me the biggest ICK for so many people to blur the lines between the characters and the actors that play them. I do NOT find it cute nor funny nor interesting to have the REAL LIFE aspects of the actor’s relationship to be in fics and it SKEEVES me out that so many people not only enjoy that but want more of it. Live and let live but if I wanted to read rpf, i’d search for THAT. Tomdaya fic masquerading as PeterMJ my beloathed.

I’m also on record for saying that if they recast / changed gears / had a brand new Peter and MJ………… I wouldn’t be mad. Especially if they did an age jump and it’s the “same” versions but different actors because TO ME I care more about the characters. I loved Peter and MJ long before the MCU existed and I will love them long after this version is gone. I think it would be a disservice to have brand new versions at this point but again, if Tom and Zendaya move on but /their/ version of Peter and MJ continue in the form of a recast…….. it’ll be business as usual for me lmao.

That being said, I so desperately want /this/ version of Peter and MJ as depicted by Tom and Zendaya to continue their story because while the entire trilogy fucked them both (in the sense that they did NOT have a love story and anyone who says different didn’t watch the movies/only read fanfic), the end of NWH puts them BOTH in the position to finally have the Chance to have proper development AND it cannot be understated that as much as I despise stan culture, Disney/Sony are in the business of making money and both Tom and Zendaya are money makers. It would not benefit them to move on, plus there’s something to on screen continuity.

Do I actually think the MCU Will give this deep and rich development to me????? No but until proven otherwise, I’m gonna believe.

To your last point, while I fully agree that MJ deserves to have a life and world OUTSIDE of Peter (people who make MJ’s biggest trait being “in love with Peter” my despised), I can’t vibe with NOT wanting them together at all. I’ve loved them for too long and believe so strongly in their possibility that I can’t imagine them not finding each other in the end. I don’t believe in soulmates and refuse to see as Peter and MJ as fated.

They choose each other in every world and that to me is so very special.

I hasn’t heard tomdayas talking about an itinerary like an anon said yesterday. And then I found it.

It’s coming from tomdayas.

Suddenly there is a tomdaya who lives in the carribean and who is telling people what locations they have been to.

And this is a classic shipper move. I’ve seen it time and time again in any type of fandom.

It starts out with a “blog” that is an expert. In the larry fandom they had experts who worked with labels, in the industry, etc. and then in reality we’re just random fans.

Then the “expert” confirms things for other shippers. They aren’t convincing us. We already are set in our way.

They also don’t provide proof. For example. This one blog claims that someone on Facebook talked about meeting a girl from Disney and her boyfriend. First off it’s vague and meant to be, in case proven wrong. And there is no proof. We know tomdayas like to post proof. 100% they do. They are just relying on you to believe them.

Also, whenever something happens exactly as shippers say- it’s proof that they made it up. In this case it’s explaining WHY no one has seen tom and z. This “expert” says “oh we all have to sign things saying we won’t talk and no pics are allowed.” Shippers know that we get pics of them. And the fact that we aren’t they have to explain why. Because otherwise it looks like they are wrong.

And as long as Tom and zendaya are not seen anywhere shippers can live this fantasy.

This is even more creepy because either it’s true and you exposed some info or you stalked them

when did you start stan tomdaya ?

Honestly, I can’t say exactly! It wasn’t like a sudden beginning for me.

I’d know about both of them for years (Z since Shake it Up and Tom unknowingly since The Impossible!) and had followed both for years. I’d heard rumours about them dating for a while and just believed them (particularly the ones from around 2018 that were first hand from people I know!) but never really did any proper digging bc, tbh, as a younger teenager I had zero interest in celebs personal lives!

I do remember the O pics coming out in 2019 I thinking how it was strange bc I thought he was with Z but again didn’t think much past that bc I simply didn’t really care! And again in 2020 I knew he was with N and liked the insta posts of her but didn’t think much of it back then!

When the July 2nd pics came out I was with my best friend (who is also a huge marvel fan) and my other fiends and went on twitter and saw the pics. I just remember telling my bestie to go on twitter with 0 context and we both had complete breakdowns in my garden and none of my other friends knew why it was such a big deal!

It was after that that I properly decided to dig about bc all the news places were saying that they’d ‘revealed their romance’ and I was like but I swear they’ve dated before! I lurked on twitter (and on here briefly) for a while to confirm what I already thought before I decided I wanted to be active in the stan world!

So basically: Known about them dating for a long time but didn’t properly care or get involved until summer 2021 mainly bc I was confused as to why people were saying that they were only just confirming their romance!

They aren’t the only people I stan tho and I am active on stan twitter just in a different fandom (mainly female indie artists!). I tried tomdaya twitter and it really wasn’t for me!!

I don't even know that it's about Z really. I think there are a lot of stereotypes and misconceptions out there about LA and the surrounding area and Cali in general and most of it is coming from people that have never lived or worked there. It's perfectly fine if people don't like it and have reasons but it's usually somebody sitting in Florida or Michigan who at most spent 2 days there doing touristy things on a trip or went to Disneyland or something.

Also I don't know what is going to happen with them outside fo they are rich and can have multiple homes and don't need to live in any one spot 365 days a year, but I don't know if I could say I never seen one of them moving. I truly don't think they would have dated this long without an understanding of at some point choices would need to be made.

Yea you could compare elounor to tomdaya bc tom/z didn’t spend christmases together the first go round as 19-24 yo in a rs. But now I’m this 2.0 round they do and they move as unit/ partners, living in the same place and traveling constantly to each other when they’re working in separate places. They also seem to have coordinated their schedules so they’re not apart long. Anyway it’s totally freaked antis out but it’s a definite marked difference to how they operated as young 20s in a serious rs vs now acting like true partners. So for elounor to be stuck seemingly does seem weird. although I do think it’s possible he’s just not capable of more atm or hasn’t been at least bc as you said he’s been through so much trauma. So it might be a case of him saying he can’t give more at present and her being ok giving him that grace. But idk

Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. I think there’s a difference between being 20 and having a serious relationship you’re very keen on and making sure you have meshed friend groups and going on holiday together and overnighting at one another’s regularly and knowing each other’s families and stuff AND like having a serious relationship in your late 20s/30s. The former makes a serious relationship aged 20 but lowkey it’s like FWB in an adult relationship 💀
