Its 12:23PM and you’re waiting for your husband to come home from his mission outside the walls, you take a bath, did your skincare, changed into your comfy clothes. You find it hard to sleep without your husband by your side so you decided to read a book recommended by Erwin to kill some time, half an hour later you hear the knob of the front door unlock along with a familiar voice “Y/N, darling im home” your lips forms a smile after hearing Erwin’s voice “finally” you muttered under your breath, you got up and and went straight to Erwin “theres my angel.” he said with a smile on his face “I missed you sweetheart.” Erwin said before giving you a hug and a peck on the lips, “I missed you too.” you replied snuggling your face onto his chest. “you should wait in the bedroom, ill take a bath and change my clothes okay?” he said, you nodded and went straight into the bedroom while Erwin went into the bathroom to take a hot shower, and change into his comfy clothes.

You continued to read the book you were holding earlier and lazily analyzed every word, you’re not gonna lie, it was a really good book. Some time later you finally heard the door open to reveal Erwin, you opened your arms for him and he gladly embraced you, you buried your face into his neck while he kisses your cheek “miss me that much, darling?” he teased, you scoffed closing the book and placing it into your bed side table, Erwin finally laid down and you positioned yourself on his shoulder with your hands around his waist. Erwin left out a sigh “You probably cant tell, but im glad the day is over.” you smiled and kissed him “yeah?” “Yeah. I missed you so much, and we did a lot of things today too.” you buried your face on his chest “You should get some sleep then.” Erwin chuckled “Yeah…” he said before giving you a kiss on the forehead and finally went to sleep.

Fallen so far, an oily voice in his mind whispers mockingly. Weak.

The stink of sweat and unwashed bodies surrounds him, but Levi’s nose is still filled with the smell of ashes.

Rage boils his blood. His empty hands clench helplessly behind his back.
