“When toxic behavior is portrayed as romantic, it’s problematic. When problematic behavior is portrayed as a character flaw for a character to work through, it’s good storytelling.”
Katsuki Bakugou, my friends.
His behavior was problematic but never once portrayed as romantic at the same time. Katsuki said and did awful abusive things, and he also chose to be better when he was given the chance. If you’re still hung up on chapter 1 Katsuki now then I don’t think you’ve been reading the same story I have.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m not shipping Izuku with an irredeemable abuser. I’m shipping him with his most important person. His narrative foil. His childhood friend who made awful mistakes and then made it right when he saw he was wrong. The person Izuku looks up to and strives to emulate, despite their past struggles.
Bakudeku is so good because of how flawed these boys are, and how hard they’ve worked to get over it, and how much they matter to each other after it all

I feel like most fanart doesn’t give me the andrew I want.
it’s described in the books of him being really strong, neil mentions how much he lifts in the gym, how he didn’t expect him to be able to shut him out for long because of his heavy racquet, and how sturdy he is. so much fanart has him around the same size as neil and having a pretty lean physique. but I want him to be buff
in my head i’m picturing him looking like a lot of rugby players. give me andrew with large biceps and broad shoulders w/ lean more runner body type neil. I need more muscular andrew pls

Why is it that fictional women with vices like alcohol and smoking are attractive when in reality I find them kind of repulsive. People need to stop making so much good art and photography of attractive older women smoking cigarettes or being pathetic and drunk while still being sexy somehow, please it’s for my health and wellbeing

idk but I feel like if you’re a YouTuber/podcaster with the ability to edit before you publish, you shouldn’t make a big joke about how you can’t pronounce people’s names and act like it’s self-deprecating humor for you to keep getting it wrong and you should instead maybe look up how to say it before you record and edit in the correct pronunciation if you have to

The knife being given to Ron for him to use in the kitchen instead of being used against him as intended was so good. It was Cellbit’s knife before it was Bad’s, his sort of reassurance and comfort during triggering or stressful moments, as well as a reminder of what he wants to avoid reverting back to. A knife that gave him options.
The way that knife symbolized extremes and bloody decisions, given to Bad to carry out the actions Cellbit suspected of him, that of which Cellbit would not do but would look the other way of, knowing well what sorts of violence Bad can commit.
Bad never uses it. As much as everyone expects him to, he instead gives it to Ron for its intended purpose. Just like instead of having killed him, or as heavily implied, eating him, he had taken Ron somewhere safe.
Idk something about how characters come back from extremes, and the other islanders help in this. Baghera helping Bad settle on helping Ron escape. Cellbit’s family helping to keep him choosing the better options, striving for something level headed and rational, at the very least. Something about how people can do terrible things, but then they can do better and work to correct for what they’ve done, how forgiveness isn’t impossible and reformation is in reach.
Something about Cell’s knife, clean and newly sharpened, stored in a drawer in Ron’s kitchen, now used for gentle things.

fumi i hope you know that in an extra of how laios' party is formed he is explicitly banned from getting a crush on marcille.
like i know you went in depth on the trauma he has because of humans on your laimar post about the succubus but please know that he was explicitly banned its so goddamn funny.
im crying laughing while typing this out happy laimar love loses 🥂
Lmao yeah 🥂
It’s a very fun comic! The marriage seeker mystery can finally be put to rest 😌 I don’t really think it changes much, that it overrides anything we knew or that I theorized, esp since we already knew about the party-wide romance ban, but the meme potential (and fic potential) IS so strong now that we know Laios was the one most targeted and distrusted of all… And trust was the biggest issue, romance brings nothing but trouble in their minds but the trouble they experienced with the marriage seeker was because she was disingenuous and manipulative and Laios was oblivious, and as time went on the party realized that Marcille was trustworthy and they stopped worrying about that particular scenario happening.
It can def bring a new meaning to the "This is my succubus?!! No one can see it no one can know AAAAA" line though lmfaoo. It’s so funny and honestly such a win for aroace Laios

I honestly just don’t get how people default to thinking southern accents are like unserious and unintelligent, I know I live in a bubble and I’ve never been outside of the south so like my world view is skewed but like idk I can’t like conceptualize hearing someone’s accent and going “your accent is too stupid and silly for you to have a brain” like ???

Everyone’s so scandalized by Rhaenys killing those people at the pit, and yeah fair, so sad, thoughts and prayers. But nobody’s talking about how Alicent gave Larys (in a scene that was, in all honestly, super cringe, ableist and sexist) the OK to kill all the servants of the red keep who worked for Mysaria, including Alicent’s own maidservant.
Like…
And they were killing and/or seizing all the nobles who wouldn’t swear to Aegon too, btw.
