It’s time for our first LOTROnPrime Cast Spotlight: Robert Aramayo! “I wish you good fortune in the wars to come. And now it begins.” “No...now it ends.”

For our first LOTROnPrime cast spotlight, we take a look at the career of Robert Aramayo! The 27-year-old British actor is best known for playing Young Ned Stark in “Game of Thrones”, but has made an impact in a number of other roles since bursting onto the scene in 2016. From the heroic Ned Stark in GOT, to murderer Elmer Wayne Henley in “Mindhunter” and motorcycle co-founder Bill Harley in "Harley and the Davidsons”, plus an upcoming appearance in “The King’s Man”, Aramayo has established himself as a young actor to watch with his star casting in The Lord of the Rings on Prime, reportedly as Elrond. No matter his eventual confirmed role, it should be a joy to get to know an actor with such a range and pedigree as he makes his mark in this high-budget journey to the second age of Middle Earth.

Biography Fíli and Kíli were nephews of Thorin, who was the elder brother of their mother Dís. They were also nephews of Frerin, grandsons of Thráin II, and great-grandsons of Thrór. Fíli's most distinguishing feature was his long nose, the longest of any of the Dwarves in Thorin's company. As the youngest Dwarves, Fíli and Kíli had the sharpest eyes, and were often sent scouting or searching. It was they that found the Front Porch while in the Misty Mountains. With the other Dwarves, Fíli and Kíli encountered spiders and were later imprisoned by the Elvenking Thranduil.They escaped the cells thanks to Bilbo, traveling down the river in barrels until they reached Lake-town. The brothers accompanied Thorin and Bilbo to Lake-town while the others rested by the river. At the feet of the Lonely Mountain, Fíli and Kíli scouted Ravenhill and found the Front Gate with Balin and Bilbo. Also, with Bilbo, they found the side-door leading into the mountain. Both brothers were killed while defending the mortally wounded Thorin Oakenshield in the Battle of Five Armies, and all three were buried with honor. Talents and equipment While on journeys, Fíli and Kíli both wore blue hoods, and played fiddles. They each carried a spade, presumably to forage, and to aid in building firepits, barriers, and traps. Hey, I have a Tumblr, I should totally post something on it!

Interview from today with Tolkien Scholar Tom Shippey regarding Amazon’s “Lord of the Rings” series. The piece suggests (understandably) that he must be very circumspect in what he says about the series, so it is unclear what about its content he specifically knows. However, the points he makes are interesting:

The series is definitely about (and only about) the Second Age. The First Age is off limits, as likely is the Third (those rights are held by Tolkien Enterprises).

The Estate holds veto power over creative decisions; while much will be “made up” by virtue of there being so little extant material about the Second Age nothing may contradict “canon.”

Most of the major events Shippey mentions and the questions he suggests Amazon “might ask” revolve around what Sauron was doing during the Second Age, with emphasis on Numenor and where he was just after the War of Wrath. No big surprise there: Numenor was predominant in the map reveal and the inclusion of new lands to the East of Rhun on all the maps already suggested that area (notably in the Second Age almost exclusively as part of Sauron’s empire) will be important.

Here directors connected the story with lord of the rings. Legolas was not aware that the person about whom he is joking will be his best buddy in Future. There was gimli who wants to go for the quest of erebor on the place of his father gloin but his father Gloin denied and he went on behalf of Gimli because gimli was too young to go for such a dangerous quest. Bilbo when killed a big spider, fell from the tree and lost his ring that he received from Gollum in unexpected journey. Suddenly he realised that he lost the ring and looking for it and he saw that a baby spider was coming towards the ring. Without wasting a moment he rushed towards it and killed the baby spider for getting his ring of power back. He killed that spider and picked up the ring and said it's mine. My precious!!! Suddenly he realised that what he done. What is the ring doing with him. The ring motivated him to kill the spider.
