Which other music avenues would best accompany a vocalist for making money?

Which other music avenues would best accompany a vocalist for making money? Ok so, my primary goal is to make my own music and make money with it but I know it takes time to grow an audience, so I wouldn’t really make money from it any time soon. I’m very hardheaded and don’t like doing any jobs in life that I don’t really like. I don’t really like doing work for others either, but I don’t really have a choice I know I have to collaborate and provide service to others in some way.So, I was trying to think what other avenues could I work in to make more money?
