It’s officially past midnight here in the UK, which means it’s Eddie’s birthday!!!! Happy 41st birthday Eddie. May your birthday be as magical and wonderful as you are!! I hope this year is full of happiness as much as you make us fans happy! You are an amazing person and brilliant actor. Keep smiling, and doing what you do best. I hope we see you in more films and projects this year. Thank you for all you do, for making films to entertain us, doing interviews weather it being on videos for YouTube, interviews for online articles, and interviews for podcasts. For attending Q & A sessions with fans, premiers, and other events, and hope to see you do more in the coming years. Thank you for doing so much for us fans, and being so kind and generous to us in everything you do.

I wanted to do a fan art for his 41st birthday, but I don’t know if I’ll finish it on time for his birthday. Eek! I wanted to say all that on his birthday fundraiser. I know he’ll probably not see this, although I wish he could, but I still want to express my gratitude for all his hard work for us fans, and wish him a heartfelt birthday. Love him so much. He’s one of the best actors out there and he is my number 1 favourite actor. Anyway we’ll see if I can finish it later today, as it’s late now snd past midnight.

his problem solving skills involve "tactical suicide" and "telling the eldritch entity possessing the tardis it should torture him and amy instead of killing them". these work. he also steals and carries around future and alien first aid stuff, apparently.

he became emperor of rome for a bit. he narrowly dodged becoming king of camelot. he knows how to dual wield a shortsword and a gun.

Wait, the tsun event has a whole bit dedicated to Malleus bragging about what kitchen appliances he knows how to use? Twst EN just got the milk culinary crucible, which means at the same time Malleus is showing off, the entirety of the EN players are learning Leona doesn't know how to use a microwave. The timing really just makes it feel like Malleus is flexing on Leona XD

it's in Mal's card story rather than in the event proper, but yep! after teaching his tsum proper microwave usage, he takes it on a tour and very proudly shows off his extensive knowledge of household appliances. (except when he thinks his tsum fell into the washing machine and doesn't know how to unlock the lid, so he just. explodes it instead. hashtag just diasomnia things. 🤷)

I do think he and Leona should get into a fight about who has done a better job of learning how to use kitchen tools! Leona has the advantage of having grown up in the modern world, but Malleus has the motivation to actually do literally anything. who will win

Thinking about the fact that, to pull Gale from the stone and get him in the game at all, you have to decide to try to touch an extremely dangerous looking swirling mass of unstable magic. Something that is, objectively, a terrible idea

Like, the options it gives you are to either touch the sigil or leave, and if you leave you just... don't get Gale in the party

You have to take the risk. You have to let your curiosity override your common sense. You have to look at this unstable, possibly dangerous malfunctioning magic sigil and go "...Ok, but what if I poke it?"

In short, to get Gale in your party, you have to do exactly what he would in that situation, and indulge in a moment of reckless curiosity. And I just think that's delightful

Hate (affectionate) how it's made so clear from the very beginning of part 1 just how loved Paul is by his family and household. Both his parents, Duncan, Gurney, Thufir, even Dr Yueh all clearly care so deeply for this kid, and we're shown that time and time again.

Cut to the end of part two, and almost every one of those people is gone. The only ones who remain are a weird, came-back-wrong version of Jessica, and Gurney who has gone from mentor to worshipper. Paul goes from someone deeply loved and valued for who he is by a small but caring group of people - to someone followed and worshipped and feared by thousands. They're obsessed with him in a way, as a leader and "messiah", but nobody loves him.

The only one remaining who loves him for who he is is Chani, who leaves him because in the end that love isn't enough to bring who he is back.
