The way motivation is flowing while writing the second part of Tainted Angel is insane like-

I never thought writing a fic completely on Dabi’s pov would be so much fun! It’s like I’m inside his mind and I can see clearly how he’d act or what he’d say, it’s more fun rather than being just a narrator or writing it from reader’s pov.

It’s like my brain totally switches and I’m him now, every thought that runs in my brain is his, hence the reason why the writing is going so smoothly. A very nice way to experiment with my writing, I should’ve done this sooner

Personally I find the similarities between Tokoyami and Shakespearean writing to be in that he is super central to the plot of the manga, but is a side character. Which feels a lot like how Shakespeare writes his characters, even in Hamlet. Most of the story of Hamlet revolves around him but the store itself shows more of OTHERS than it does Hamlet.

Which in turn feels a lot like Tokoyami how he's as important/famous as Deku, Bakugou, and Todoroki due to his association with Hawks; and he's the reason Hawks is even alive, but he's not central to the plot /at all/. He's a side character in this whacky manga, but plays such a pivotal role.

At least that's my take on it. He always seems to "take stage left" than stay in the spot light... Which... Is another Shakespearean/Iliadic/Poe trope.

I see! I like this.

Arguably, quite a few characters "take stage left" whenever something isn't about them... though this comment given Tokoyami as witness to Izuku's "I'm so blessed" somehow makes that moment even funnier to me.
