Bristletails - I still do not think so

Some stick bugs - Don't have the body type (also their antennae tend to be far longer)

Some roaches - Same issue with antennae, but I mean...?

True lice - They do make an effort to show him having two claws so he'd have to be a Mallophaga if he's a wingless louse, and I mean... Body shape kinda fits?

Non-insect hexapods (Springtails, Diplurans, Proturans) - I kinda like the idea of him as a springtail, especially because I'm constantly seeing those little shits around water they LOVE lakes n such. Springtails can also be green! Diplurans and Proturans are unlikely since they lack eyes

Bugs with "pupils"

Ok well NONE have pupils like that. And the only one I can think of with even something pupil-adjacent are Mantises and Damselflies.

But then we run into the wing issue again. Especially with Damselflies, those things got wings for days. Which is a shame since Damselflies are also big water enjoyers, and those itty bitty antennae would fit for him.

Aquatic Bugs

There's way too many to go through honestly. Most are larvae, and he doesn't... toootally look like he's supposed to be a larva? Then again I mean...

Dragonfly larva is a possibility. It'd get rid of the wing issue! He doesn't have the mouth for it but then again the cotl devs have like a vendetta against the idea of portraying ANY mouth correctly (side-glancing all birds), let alone bug mouths, so I don't consider that to mean anything.

And you know what? We could really make this work if we want him to be a damselfly larvae, but

he's missing HIS GILLS (the three lil thangs on the back)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all... the kitty. Chimera Sonic ilysm <3 I want to hug him but he'd bite my face off. So creature. The mere concept is so interesting because Sonic's whole thing is being a hero, and now he's a monster. Who kills people. Which is exactly what Sonic does not want to do. Ughhh many thoughts (I'm going to watch that anime I swear)

And then there's Gale!! Wings :D Just love him so much. Overpowered little thang with an awesome hat, who then loses power at the end and can’t ever really be whole again ever. Compared with Bermuda (also on the list)?? They're even more opposites than canon Sonic and Shadow are, and it's already an interesting dynamic with them. It's like if you stretched them to the most extreme sides of the spectrum, and yet... also many thoughts

Bonus Bermuda mention again! Tragic fishy (I love sirens). I like his wings, they're really cool and very functional too. I can just imagine him opening them up to look bigger/more menacing. And the color palette rocks!!

And Teddy!! Ignoring the “typical” Sonic character body shape? Hell yeah!! I love it when OCs are just a normal guy. With paws. Shadow and Teddy are the cutest methinks. My comfort ship fr. Because I can’t hug Chimera Sonic I will hug Teddy instead <3

I can’t forget Jack, either. Ultimate girl boyfriend. The bestest rival. I love when people break “typical” Sonic character rules. I also love her fluff. If I were her I’d have as much ego too. She deserves it.

And last but definitely not least, the Falling Stars duo. I love all three of Sonic’s designs, especially the robot one (although he wouldn’t be as enthusiastic as I am about it), and Shadow is an epic guy with identity issues. Honestly, one of my favorite things to think about is Sonic with amnesia, and with Shadow is a bonus. I love your take on it.

I love all of your designs and I would yap more (about Three and Fibula and Bullet too), but this is bordering on essay length and I don’t know if making it any longer is a good idea. Your brain is so big!! And your art style is so beautiful!! I definitely made the best choice following you <3

So yeah! I scavenged these fabric bits from around the school and I think I have enough to make two or three, which will be Extremely helpful for when I'm low on spoons or forget to wash them the night before (which is all the time, also I don't have a dryer so if I forget, washing in the morning isn't an option) :') but! It's worth it to me to keep masking! It makes me feel safe, I prefer to conceal my face, and I love knowing I'm doing my part the best I can to protect others and myself!

like... to get an idea of what all id need to do. for anyone curious ig and also to just... totally beat the allegations of yucky little beast:

survey the damage... bc shes obviously in VERY bad shape. so id need to see if i could even get her eyes out or if id maybe. need to dremel into them to get them free so i could start on faceup removal

get the eyes out. this is very scary bc of the hot glue and also the mysterious gray substance. if it IS apoxie sculpt like i think it is then good god. thats going to be the worst 7 bucks ive ever spent or smth

clean the head. im really hoping that its dirt and not.. the alternative on the forehead and other parts of the face. if it IS some mold or fungus, ive got pony experience here (as in. i have dealt with that a few times on MLP) so I'm not... too worried? My guess is its surface level grime that should go away w the faceup being removed.

attempt to remove the faceup. the paint rly looks like it goes ALL the way around her head (poor thang) so ill probably test with acetone at the back of her head. for whatever reason i feel very much like her head has to be fragile so id rather test the more strong/easy to use chemical in a lesser seen spot. i really do not want to be scrubbing with rubbing alcohol for 5 years. bc the faceup looks like at LEAST a few layers of paint with a bad sealant so (as someone whos removed two full body resin paint jobs) i know acetone would be quickest (but alcohol is safest. but we will see)

assess the damage AGAIN. i predict that she is severely yellowed (due to the cracks on the cheek) but the question of if it is either just. in those spots where the faceup cracked or if its all over is really unsure. i mainly want to get her to try retrobrighting (which ive done on older MLP with great success and it seems to be something that works for this kind of vinyl as well) on her and just. fix up a doll that is beyond repair for most people lol. from what ive experienced with resin, i think the yellowing could either be all over (and the head was painted to try and hide this. although this clearly did not go well lol, altho i think its a sealant issue and not a paint issue, as it kind of looks like when ive fucked up with MSC (a common sealant for bjds)) or it could be just... shes been in sunlight and where the paint cracked got unevenly yellowed (i experienced this most recently with my big blue boy, where all the blue paint kind of. protected his resin and the non covered parts got more yellow). so its kind of a toss up. or a mysterious third thing you never know.

once shes all clean (which i assume will take a while due to well... how bad of shape that she is in), ill probably sit with it for a few days and then get milliput and sculpt a new nose. this will not be fun for me i think because I just... am not a sculpting fan (funny thing when this project WILL have a lot of sculpting) and much prefer sanding. I'm not too mad about the chin being sanded down (as the original had an INSANELY pointed chin which I really didn't like. I hate sanding vinyl so this works for me) or the eyes being opened (other than.. having to figure out the size on my own and pray for the best). Most of the mods are not... bad to me and are partially why I'm drawn to miss yucky bc like... the diseases but also the fact that the mods do mostly make the head cuter for me

Redo the faceup. I would love to keep the elements of the original with the big eyelashes as I find them cute, but the BIGGEST order of business is eyebrows good god. I'll have to paint over the mod that I did but I'm not super worried about it (maybe falsely I've never painted a vinyl head in full bc I have exactly one vinyl doll) and then hope i can get the head right on the first try. depending on how bad the yellowing is (and if im able to retrobright her to a lighter skin tone, as the body i have is pretty light (altho it doesnt match any skins from this company so. its a whole thing its ok)) i might just paint the whole head (or even come up with a story or reason why its mismatched. I have a lot of heads and bodies like that so I don't mind fully lol). It's just kind of a scary tossup on how bad of shape everything is.

Done <3 i really dont think itll be TOO bad but i also like... think i wont know fully until i get my hands on her if i do. She would be pretty tiny too (as in 45 cm or so, or for the americans, 1.5 ft) but I do love that scale of doll so. it could work.

Here's the thing... I am a stubborn asshole when it comes to not accepting things from canon if they don't make logical sense. And I am also a total stickler for things being medically accurate because of what I study at uni. ((Please be warned, my answer to this question is a total rant))

The concept of c section procedure being somehow framed as an impossibility for Feyre was absolutely one of those things that I refuse to accept. It was truly just lazy writing on SJM's part (in my opinion) and I could write a whole essay on how that plot point completely rejects and contradicts the strongly reinforced capability of healers/magic in the ACOTAR world BUT I digress…

However, if we are strictly speaking within canon compliancy, SJM does suspiciously mention Gwyn has pliable bones due to her heritage… Which, in my opinion, is a really strange thing to include, especially given that 1) ACOSF was a tightly written book that clearly had been cut down and edited a lot and 2) dialogue surrounding Gwyn is relatively lacking in depth in ACOSF. It's a subtle inclusion that is oddly specific enough to lead me to believe it is a hint towards her future. It is also very reminiscent of SJM’s masterful ability to drop extremely subtle hints very early on…

Then, there’s the genetic component to consider… The babies would have a 50% chance of having wings (if we are assuming the wing trait is homogeneous dominant in Illyrians). After witnessing what happened to Feyre, Azriel would probably not even want to consider the risk. I think they would only have children if he knew 100% that she would be safe during the procedure. From my understanding, the ‘issue’ is that the fae birth canal is not shaped appropriately for wings (which is so fucking ridiculous like don’t even get me started on THAT). Gwyn’s pliable bones (her os coxae) would then in theory be able to stretch to accomodate these apparently troublesome wings easily… but alas, the issue still makes 0 medical sense to me.

In truth though, I totally think they could adopt if the wing birth was ever a problem. I’ve read some amazing fics where Gwyn and Az find some real closure from their own childhood traumas by adopting a child in need and I find that very compelling for them.

I normally don’t care for the pregnancy/baby trope but in the case of Gwynriel I make a rare exception because I think it suits the trajectory of their healing/growth.
