Hello everyone! 

I’ve begun posting my current twst oc longfic onto ao3. Initially I wasn’t going to but the great feedback I’ve received along with my suprising satisfaction with the story has made me feel confident and decide I’d like to share this with a larger audience. 

Currently I only have chapters 1 through 3 up and I plan to update this in 2-3 chapter increments. The final chapter will be posted both here and on ao3 concurrently. If you have ocs in this fic, don’t worry, they won’t be included in this version until I’m given permission to do so, with credit of course. 💖

What relationship does your oc have with...? TWST Edition

Ooooh boy Jamil's might be a long one mostly because I'm working on a fic that goes in depth on their relationship. Don't worry I'll try to keep it short hkahdjs. Yume's already pretty close to Scarabia as a whole because the dorm reminds them of their culture so their frequent visits means they've befriended most people there and Jamil is no exception. They've found ways to hang out together even when it means Kalim is often third wheeling but they have their quiet moments at night where Yume will sneak into the dorm and Jamil will either cook or dance with them. Around Yume, Jamil is able to be more like himself without having to pretend. They treat him the same way they treat Kalim; a friend.

Jamil isn't sure when he's developed a crush on them, but eventually it's hard to focus during basketball practice when they're there (even though they're always looking at Floyd). By Book 4 he has to get slightly creative with his lies because Yume wouldn't be so easily swayed (and he feels slightly guilty when he ends up using Snake Whisperer on them). His actions and some of his words cause their friendship to be strained but by the end of Book 5 they manage to get back on equal footing and start over.

With Epel, it's slightly complicated. When Epel looks at Yume, he associates them with Pomefiore because they're always wearing makeup. He ends up avoiding them a little because Vil talks about them in high regard until he sees Yume in Ramshackle giving a possum a pringle chip. They start talking more and Epel, while not fully understanding why Yume enjoys the things they enjoy, doesn't judge because he knows Yume doesn't do the same with him. Whenever Yume makes him "manly" clothes that Vil might not approve of, they hide it in their dorm so Epel could wear it when he visits. A somewhat unlikely friendship, but one they make work with effort and communication!

First of all, thank you so much for the ask! <3 And sorry it toook me a bit to get to this! Of course, I'll gladly talk more about my boy~ I had to think some of these on the spot, tho xD But that helps me develop his character, so it's good~

🍃 FALLING LEAF - do they enjoy being in nature? what is their favourite outdoor activity? Yes, he does really love being in nature! Specially in thick forests where he can just float around all the branches and the leaves~ His hometown is also surrounded by forest so he's used to that since he was a child C: As for outdoor activities, he's not much for sports or excercise, so he enjoys just leisurely walking flying around and enjoying the sun and the grass and all :D He'd more often than not also pick up flowers just because they're pretty, but also he'd pick some branches and other miscellaneous stuff just laying around if he thinks he can use them to build something~

🕷️ SPIDER - what is their biggest fear? do they have any irrational / mundane fears? Breaking a nail. Hear me out, that sounds dumb but it's actually not. He got a really bad broken nail when he was younger and it was super painful and took so long to grow back till it was healed again… it's something he never wants to experience again, so he's VERY careful when handling tools nowdays. Aside from that, he's a bit scared of fire, so he'll be really cautious when handling it. He's also a bit claustrophobic, not too much, but if he gets into a really tiny space he'd be a bit panicky. If it's just a small room or not have much space, he'd just be a bit ansty.

🌌 MILKY WAY - what was the inspiration behind your oc? what was the first thing you decided about them? Well, I don't know if I ever said this here?? But he is directly inspired by Tinker Bell. Mostly the one from the OG movie, but I did watch the new movies from her franchise too so I get a bit from both places C: As for the first thing, I think it was that 1. he was gonna be pretty and "vain" and 2. he was gonna be a disaster with love hahaha Also, just because I can, not much later I also decided Ace was gonna be his BIG CRUSH, unrequited tho, it never got anywhere hahah (he's got a lot of crushes, but only one that works out in the end 😌)

⚾ BASEBALL - can they play sports? what is their best position if they play a team sport? what’s their strong suit (speed, power etc.)? He is nimble and fast, so he would not be that bad at them if he tried. But he does not like them much, so he mostly stays away from sports. He does watch them sometimes as a social activity, tho. Mostly going to see the Magilift matches the school participates in. He goes there to support Ruggie as well😌

@lovelyjasmari brought up on my Discord server that she has the unsettling feeling that Jamil's dream will be like that one scene in the animated Aladdin movie where Sultan Jafar and Iago are abuse Jasmine and her father, except Jamil does all that to Kalim. Honestly, with how the game handled Vil's dream, I can see that happening. That possibility terrifies me. Because that's super OOC for him and is the last thing I want to see.

Two people asked about Dalia! I'm so happy you guys like my girl~ Thank you two! <3 Time to gush and share some info about her, then!

The reason why I made her so down to earth and logical, even if she's not that serious, is as a reference to the movie and the books. Dinah is always seen at the start of the story with Alice. And, as she starts to "leave towards wonderland", Dinah always stays back in reality.

Her art is mostly drawings and paintings, but she also has quite a love for sculpture. So she does sometimes make weird nonsensical sculptures as well! It's way more involved and takes more time and materials, so that's why she doesn't do it as often.

The reason why she strongly dislikes bullies (aside from the general reason one might dislike them) is because of her love for her sister Ada. She was always a weird kid who would tell fantastic tales and unbelievable facts just for fun. But some of the other kids did not appreciate it and called her a "liar" and made fun of her being "out of touch with reality". That made Ada quite sad, even if she did not let others see it. But Dalia did, being so close to her, and became really protective of her sister. So now, when she sees someone getting bullied, she can't help but get mad and defend that person too.

Related to the last point, Dalia is not someone who you'll see mad almost ever. She's really chill and takes everything with humor. But seeing bullies or having someone hurt her family or dear friends will incur her wrath. She'll mostly use harsh words against whoever made her mad. But, if she does need to defend herself in a more forward manner, she won't hesitate to use her UM to show horrible images to the other person, to intimidate and scare them.

Her physical strenght and stamina are not that good. She's more of a studious and intellectual kind of person and she always uses that to her advantage instead. That does not mean she's extremelly weak physically, but she'd much rather sit down and chill or take a leisure walk than do any kind of sport/excercise.

She actually really likes fashion and has a quite active magicam account. She does not apply fashion trends/advice to herself that much, so she's often just liking and commenting other people's posts. The type of pics you can see on her account are cute selfies of her outfit for the day (if she's not wearing her uniform), cute hairstyles she's trying out, food or snacks she's eating that day and, of course, pictures of her art (only the ones she deems decent, though!).

She prefers wearing skirts and dresses over pants pretty much always. The few exceptions to this are PE class and when she takes part of the Horseback Riding club activities. She could ride with a side saddle, but she prefers the regular saddle.

In her canon timeline she attends my friend's fanschool @amanilla-arts-academy but I do enjoy indulging in an AU where she goes to NRC quite often too. I've only shared a couple drawings of that in here before, but I have quite some thoughts and info on that myself. If anyone is interested, I could share some of that too~

Warning, this chapter contains some angst and disturbing imagery (fucked me up writing may fuck some up reading) but ends with a sickening amount of gratuitous, self-indulgent fluff. Also gets kinda suggestive, though not enough to change the rating. XD
