So this took forever because I actually didn't know who to pick or what to dress them in. Eventually, I settled on Jacque wearing one of the Dior gowns I made. The amount of boobage going on would probably cause some "eyebrow-raising" but she wore it anyway because most royal protocol and modesty standards are just made up by journalists and don't actually reflect how people within the family actually dress.

TRUTH: What do you find is the most difficult part of sim storytelling?

Hmm, soooo many things 😅 but since you specified Sim storytelling, I would say getting the screenshots right is pretty challenging. I struggle with posing in particular. I spend so much time on finding the right poses and then getting everything aligned how I want it (I have a hard time with spatial reasoning bc of my adhd). Big shout-out to everyone who creates poses because I'd be lost without them!

TRUTH: If you could magically plop a character from another story, aside from current/future collabs, into your story. Who would you pick and why?

I have been talking to @warwickroyals a lot about our respective matriarchs. If I could borrow another simmer's character, it'd 100% be Irene. I don't know what I'd do with her, exactly, but it'd involve her and Elise discussing their worldviews.

Would you rather: start your current project from scratch or do a soft reboot focusing on a different character?

I'd start from scratch! I'd honestly have fun with starting over, even if I'm mostly satisfied with how Redemption is now. It's mostly the visual aspect I'd have fun doing since I've improved with editing and my characters have changed in appearance. Though I've been doing some writing, so I would love to also add in more prose to my earlier posts.

I think I have sort of already done a soft reboot focusing on a different character! So that! But I recently decided that instead of just focusing on the main legacy family I started with (cortes') I'd start doing stuff focusing on a side family (the steeles yay).

Plus the legacy is so long IDK if I would want to restart it from scratch 🤣🤣

TRUTH: Do you ever miss your old story? Would you ever consider having them make a cameo appearance in this story?

If I’m being completely honest I think the only thing I miss about my old story is the plans I had for the plot towards the end of my posting. I look back at the style of both screenshots and sims and honestly cringe bc it’s so different from what I go for now aesthetics and editing wise which is probably the reason I don’t think I would ever have the Lockwoods make an appearance. If I ever did decide to bring in a brief cameo, I think I would have to completely recreate them to fit in more with my current style so that they didn’t look so out of place.

I was a lot more focused on the story than the screenshots and you can definitely tell that in looking back (some of them are a huge yikes lol) and I guess I miss that sometimes too when I’m frustrated trying to find the right poses or things just aren’t working like I wanted them to in my head. I’ve always loved writing, so my approach of writing the story under the screenshots rather than the screenshots only containing the dialogue was super fun and at times helped better convey what I wanted readers to take from the story more than my current approach.

I also was so new to everything at the start of that story and tried to do way too much wayyyyyy too fast and was more concerned with posting everyday than the pacing of the plot for the majority of it. Overall, I think I had a few good posts in there, but I look back and am extremely happy with my decision to start from scratch here and take what I have learned to apply it to a new story.

TRUTH: How do you think your story would be different had you not killed off Richard?

OH BOY

Well, before he died he was already going to be abdicating the throne in favor of Ana, so she would be Queen.

The main thing that I think would be different is the state of relationships and all that, because Richard was one very controlling individual (and he has an entire folder on my Google Drive titled: Richard Needs to Pay Child Support so...).

Elissa would probably still be married to him (societal pressure and whatnot on both of them), Sophie and Eric's relationship might be super strained because Richard was planning on marrying Sophie to Henry Gathen Jr., and poor Ben would probably still be stuck with Olivia.

Unfortunately, my original sims computer gave out on me shortly after Richard died and Ana became Queen, so I haven't really gotten a good chance to play around with it and see what would be different (other than Richard being a total dick to the people he supposedly loves).

Show one of your royal sims in an outfit the would love to wear but cannot because of royal protocol.

I went with Miliana, I don't see much of a role for her in my story beyond supporting cast and then fading a bit. So, not only shedding royal outfits but royal life. Even a girlie has gotta have some fun right? Left is Miliana, Duchess of Albany and right is Miliana Burton, a young lady out enjoying a night on the town with her friends. The red is a fairly conversative outfit for the Duchess to go out and have a drink drinks with her friend. Jewels worthy of her status, light make up and TIGHTS. The cow-print is a young lady needing a break and wanting to enjoy a night clubbing with her friends. A choker, long black nails (gasp!), dark makeup and NO TIGHTS (double gasp). The Duchess of Albany would never be caught dead in an outfit like that.

Random bit of info dump about her below.

Miliana Burton is the daughter of the Duke of Fife. One of the oldest non-royal dukedoms. Her father was is close friend with King Louis. Miliana was set to be Levi's first wife but with pressure from Queen Josephine, Eleanor was first. Her relationship with Levi though was marketed more as a second love story. She's played mostly a passive role in her life and she's fine with the status quo. Sometimes, Eleanor's uppity ways does get to her because between of them, one is of noble blood and the other is a commoner. Still, she has the backing of Queen Josephine and that is a person who Miliana has no interest in crossing. Long-term, unlike the lies told about other members of the family, she would like to retreat to a more closed off country side. The plan is to divorce Levi after her father passes as it would crush him.

I think Vogue would constantly feature Minerva since she’s become so much of a fashion icon in Lunaria, even before her engagement to Nicky.

Sports Illustrated would most likely feature Clarisse, who will be introduced during my next time skip after Nicky and Minnie’s wedding.

Nicholas and Minerva as the Duke and Duchess of Ancastor would most likely Grace the cover of Time together. Together they’re going to make history in Lunaria politically.

People I can see regularly doing articles on Crown Princess Calliana on her death anniversary.

Regina and her restaurant business empire would often be on the cover of Forbes. She is currently the richest member of the Royal Family privately.

Women’s Health would often feature Claire, the Duchess of Andale. She’s quite the health nut and many of her patronages focus on women’s fitness and healthy diets.

Subsequently, Men’s Health would feature Prince Rhys, since he looks good for his age and participates in a lot of sports. (Think football (American) and tennis.)

Us Weekly will definitely be full of gossip on Ana and her relationship(s)? There will probably be lots of upcoming articles on Magdalena too.

Thanks for the ask: For this one I'm gonna go with Tatiana.

Her favourite colour is blue. All shades. And it's def the colour she wears the most publically.

Despite having three siblings, she was raised almost like an only child. All her siblings were older and already away at school by the time she left the nursery at Wentworth. She only saw them during summers and holiday breaks.

Related to the last fact, but because she was always so alone she had an abundance of pets. Dogs. Cats. Birds. Rabbits. Rodents of all sizes and kinds. Horses. A donkey. She named them all herself. All to distract her, so that she would leave the adults alone.

Her favourite thing to do with her kids when they were little was to go outside and explore, roll around in the muck, and get dirty. It's the one difference she and James had—she loved the wilderness.

She first became interested in ballet when her older brother, Peter, gifted her a book of ballet paper dolls. Christmas 1981.

My story, as it exists now, is a reboot, but that's still the option I'd pick!

I just have no desire to retread the ground I've already covered. There's stuff I wish I'd done differently when I was getting things off the ground this time, but I wouldn't redo any of it.

Onwards and upwards, that's what I always say.
