#lucas would be a very good wedding planner

i am so charmed by a lumax wedding because it’s not even something max thought would happen. like she assumed weddings were something the girl makes happen and the guy puts up with. and because she had no desire for one, so there’s no reason it would happen.
among other things weddings are an exorbitant and performative show of love, max loves lucas and she doesn’t care whether or not other people know or believe this. at it’s best marriage to her has been a representation of failed dreams and at it’s worst it’s been a tool to manipulate people who need to get away to stay. maybe they will get married for the tax benefits, she thinks.
this is until max and lucas are older and living together, they’re chilling on the couch and lucas mentions his family has been asking when he’s planning to propose and if that’s something max even wants? max doesn’t care, she doesn’t plan on going anywhere, a certificate won’t change anything and she's not crazy about parties. she doesn’t ask how he feels, he brings it up, that “actually i want a wedding.”
that is saying the least, lucas wants a wedding more than anything. he loves max and he doesn’t need to prove that to anyone, but he’s happy and he wants to share that with others! he wants to work with max to make marriage a positive thing to them, he wants to celebrate their love, everything they’ve been through. also, hell, he’s only human, he wants to show off! he wants to dress really cool and go to a really cool place and show the world know how awesome he and his girlfriend are. HIS WIFE!!!
most of all, lucas wants the moment near the end of the night, where the party’s getting loud and everybody wants his attention, but max asks if he wants to get out of there and he says yes. not out out, just outside the venue. it’s dark and the once booming music is now faint, they sit and catch up, complain about their families, laugh about their friends. max holds lucas’s hand and plays with his wedding ring, she whispers something sweet before asking him to dance. it’s the best part of the night and nobody will know about it but them.
suddenly max decides she wants a wedding.

💐 COMMISSION: fem s/o's wedding with andrew (sfw & nsfw) 💐
Tumblr media
thank you so much for the commission! please consider checking out my emergency commissions here ! i hope you enjoy !
SFW ;;
♡ Andrew has always longed to marry somebody. Being a religious man, he's dreamed of filling a church with people who are dear to him as his beloved bride walks down the aisle.
♡ He's only glanced at weddings, an outsider looking in. The brides and grooms having the best nights of their lives made his heart feel fuzzy. Nobody would ever dare to wed him, but the idea was certainly a pleasant one. It helped him sleep. It comforted him when he needed it most. He wanted to look down at his hands and see a ring that reminded him someone out there loves him.
♡ He grew up with not even a penny to his name, so he knows having a luxurious wedding would be completely out of the picture for someone like him. Until he met you.
♡ You helped him get back on his feet and the two of you worked together to save up enough money for a wedding ceremony and reception, along with a honeymoon.
♡ Most honeymoons are spent lazing by the beach, but due to his body being constantly at war with sunlight, you decided to book a trip to a lovely cabin hidden away in the woods, a private place for just the two of you.
♡ He honestly thought you'd end up getting married in Red Church, surrounded by cobwebs and broken glass, but you insisted that you two would find a way to escape the manor and you'd have a proper wedding.
♡ It took months of promises and longing, but the seal keeping everyone trapped in the manor finally snapped and let everybody escape. You took Andrew's hand that day and promised him that a brighter future was upon you.
♡ Your wedding was surprisingly inexpensive. Despite your days in the manor being long gone, many of the survivors stayed in touch with you and were more than willing to help. You don't need to hire a whole team of wedding planners with the survivors by your side.
♡ Michiko and Violetta teamed up to sew you the most gorgeous dress you had ever laid eyes on.
♡ Emma designed your bouquet and enveloped the chapel in beautiful flowers.
♡ Norton prepared your rings using the finest gems he could find.
♡ Margaretha found the most wonderful songs to play and arranged dances.
♡ Vera styled your hair and Fiona did your makeup.
♡ Victor handled the invitations and did a fantastic job. So on and so forth.
♡ You and Andrew were on good terms with almost everyone, so they were all pumped to see how your wedding would play out. It was the greatest team effort they put into anything since the escape of the manor.
♡ You two had lots of practicing to do before the actual wedding. For one, Andrew didn't know table manners. You'd have to lovingly teach him gestures like how to cut his meat and how to do a toast before even daring to eat at the reception.
♡ Dancing together in your rooms was what Andrew enjoyed the most, though. Margie planned several dance routines, so you had triple the practicing to do when it came to dancing.
♡ Andrew was surprisingly agile during fast-paced dances, he loved to twirl you in the air like in a movie and dip you so low you thought you were going to crash into the ground. Each yelp only spurred him to play with you more, drinking up your reactions and getting all giddy because it's you.
♡ As for slow dancing with Mister Kreiss? You're so lucky to say you're familiar with it. He hums along to whatever music you play in the background, and puts so much love into every step or twirl that you feel like your heart might burst. It's agony waiting to dance with him in a suit and dress rather than your pajamas.
♡ You're blown away when you see the wedding venue for the first time. It's pure white with shades of red sprinkled in, the same colours Andrew has hated about himself now repurposed to be something he'd look at fondly for the rest of his life. It was beautiful. Like him.
♡ You noticed a chair with an unfamiliar name on it. When you asked Andrew who it belonged to, he answered that it was for his late mother. She would have loved to come, he said.
♡ He doesn't take the day of the wedding very well. What do you mean he can't see you until the ceremony?! He wants to greet you, kiss you, practice some extra dance moves to be extra sure... he's grumpy while the guys of the manor dress and hype him up.
♡ "Alright, let's do this! THREE CHEERS FOR OUR MAN ANDREW!" William would cheer so loudly the girls would hear it from the other side of the church and burst out into laughter.
♡ Andrew couldn't stop his hands from shaking, though. His lifelong dreams were finally being realized. The love of his life was going to marry him tonight. Willingly. He could barely believe it.
♡ As for you? You're brimming with excitement at the idea of walking down the aisle and shooting an arrow of love straight into Andrew's heart. The girls are envious of you as they powder your face and tighten the seams of your dress.
♡ "I remember when you first met that boy," Michiko would say to you as she styled your dress, beaming at you through the mirror. "You were too shy to even speak to one another... ah, young love."
♡ It took a million checks to make sure you were ready to present yourself to everybody. Your hair, makeup, dress, veil, bouquet... everything had to be absolutely perfect. It was a bit difficult having so many girls look after you, because Tracy's idea of perfect was a little bit different than Michiko's. There was a lot of playful arguing, but you knew they just wanted this day to be flawless for you.
♡ Once the petals were strewn down the halls and the bridesmaids and groomsmen made their appearances, you finally presented yourself.
♡ It took everything in Andrew to not fall to his knees when he saw you. You were angelic, your white dress cascading down your back with a stunning hairstyle he's never seen you in before. Your bouquet was made of all your favourite flowers, and he could see the perfect shade of lipstick beneath your vail. You captured Andrew's heart as he leaned onto Luca's shoulder for support.
♡ Andrew wasn't the only one who had his breath taken away. Practically everyone was gawking at you. It made Andrew feel a little... possessive, seeing everyone's eyes on you. He was going to be marrying you. Not José, not Norton, not Victor but him.
♡ All of his negative feelings disappeared the moment you were in arms reach. He extended an arm to take your hand as you gladly obliged. When he felt the fabric of your dress against his wrist, electricity shot through his body for a second time.
♡ Being able to see Andrew up close was a dream come true. His usual matted hair was thoroughly washed and brushed, it appeared as if José had lent him a hand. His usual flower was still present even as he wore a breathtaking suit. He smelled like cologne and looked so nervous but in love... you couldn't wait to finally kiss your groom.
♡ His hands trembled as he lifted your veil to reveal your features to him. You flashed him a grin and he felt his heart explode. He danced his fingers along your cheeks until they met your shoulders, which he gave an affectionate pat before turning to the priest.
♡ He had Helena help him with his vows. He wanted to blow you away, to use words you didn't think he knew. It took him days to memorize the words of love he was going to bestow upon you. You overheard him talking to himself a few times, but never guessed they were his vows.
♡ He also has some trouble with words of affection. Andrew much prefers to hold you or do favours for you.
♡ "When I first met you, I didn't think I was worthy of love. It's still hard to believe, but... I promise to return to you every affectionate gesture you give to me. I'll love you always and forever, as my angelic wife. I want to grow old with you. I vow to protect you, adore you, and care for you as long as I'm your husband. Our hearts will always be melded together and nothing will ever change that. Thank you for saving me. I love you."
♡ His vows brought some of the survivors to tears. Most of them only knew Andrew as that really quiet guy who hid behind his girlfriend a lot, so to see him spill his heart out for you made the crowd let out a sea of "awwwh"'s.
♡ His face turned scarlet and he almost wanted to run out of the building and hide once he finished speaking. He stumbled over and mispronounced a few words, but you could tell he put his whole heart into it and he meant every word he said.
♡ When he's finally able to kiss you, Andrew dips you low and assaults your entire face with kisses, treading past your lips. He doesn't care about smudging your makeup or embarrassing you, you're finally his wife and he just wants to feel your face after waiting all day to.
♡ The cheers once you become man and wife are astounding. When you tossed the bouquet it was caught by Eli and Gertrude.
♡ Demi helped to bake an enormous cake, one that's almost as tall as you. On top were little toppers meant to look like you and Andrew that you kept as mementos.
♡ The reception was definitely more of a party than the wedding was. Antonio and Margie played music for everyone to dance along to, and a karaoke session was held as well.
♡ Andrew was a little stressed out by how much noise there was, but you reminded him everyone there loved him and he melted. He's not used to all this positive attention.
♡ Your heart burst when he extended an arm and asked you to dance. You had been practicing for so long that when you finally attended the real event, it felt like a dream.
♡ For just a few minutes, nothing existed but Andrew's arms around you and the elegant music brought to you by a live band.
♡ Once all the food is eaten and gifts are exchanged, everyone bids you farewell. The girls cry when they hug you and the guys all pat Andrew on the back, wishing him good luck for... what couples do on their wedding night.
♡ When you two finally arrive home, Andrew is exhausted. He's never been to such a crowded event before, especially one where he's the main focus.
♡ He'd need to lay his head in your lap and relax as he plays with your dress. The fabric felt so pleasing under his fingers. He was so in love with every part of you. He needed to be as close to you as possible after being kept from you, and from being in public with you. He cherished alone time like this.
♡ Once he's rested up, you'd have to unpack all your gifts! Each survivor and hunter gifted you something for your domestic life with Andrew. Matching mugs, blankets, cutlery, paintings... you were drowning in presents.
♡ It took an hour, but you finally unwrapped and stored everything away.
♡ Which leads to...
NSFW ;;
♡ You and Andrew have had sex before. Maaany times. He views it as making up for lost time, it helps with his insecurities, and he enjoys making you feel good. Andrew will do everything in his power to make sure the lovemaking on your wedding night is nothing short of magical.
♡ When you're settled at home and can't think of any more chores to do, Andrew is more anxious than he's ever been. His face is red in a furious blush and he's barely able to muster a sentence as he stands stiffly, lustful eyes on you.
♡ He knows what couples are meant to do on their wedding nights, and he's so excited to make your wishes come true, but this poor boy has no idea how to initiate things. Whenever you make love, it's because he's visibly horny but too anxious to say anything so you take care of him.
♡ You approached your husband, arms wrapping around his shoulders as you stared up into his eyes. He didn't look at you or respond to your inquiry of whether he's okay or not. The growing tent in his pants spoke for itself.
♡ Your eyes widened when you felt his erection brush against your thigh. He could tell that you felt his arousal ー because he hoisted you up bridal style and pressed an openmouthed kiss to your lips. He was going to take you, and he was going to do it right.
♡ His sudden burst of confidence lead to him carrying you to your bedroom, and he gave you another kiss before gently placing you down on the bed.
♡ Andrew wouldn't know what to do next. He wants you eat you out for hours but... your dress is in the way. And he doesn't feel like taking it off just yet. No, he wants to take his sweet time with you. It's your wedding night, after all.
♡ His solution? Dry humping. He's always adored being able to rut against you like a wild animal, and getting to do so in your elegant wedding gear has him rearing to go. He doesn't want to soil your gown, no, he just wants to do something absolutely filthy in attire that's meant to be for a ceremony all about you.
♡ He would spread your legs as far as they possibly could go in your dress. When he hikes your dress up to your lower stomach and finally sees the sweet dessert laid out just for him, he's bucking his hips into the cold air for any sense of relief.
♡ He'd press his clothed cock against your panties and see stars. His lovely wife was so close to him but so far... he wasn't sure how long he could last like this.
♡ Andrew ground against you in a frenzy, arms snaking around your back as his face nestled itself in the crook of your neck, sucking sweet little kisses onto the flesh. He groaned when he rubbed against you just right, aiming to hit the same spots over and over again.
♡ He wouldn't let your needs go unnoticed. Andrew would angle himself to rub against your clit, and he'd pay special attention to your neck as he desperately got himself off with your body.
♡ The low groan that escaped from his lips as he came into his boxers went straight to between your legs. As he rode out his high, he'd push your panties aside and finish you off with his fingers before pulling away. Something about cumming before even getting his clothes off made him growl with need. And it made him desire you even more than he already did; skin to skin this time.
♡ Andrew asked you to undress him. You felt him shudder underneath you as you removed his suit and got him out of his pants. Stripping him reminded you that beneath all the cologne and hair gel, it was still your Andrew. His scarred body yearned for yours and you were more than happy to press a chaste kiss to his chest once he was undressed, your way of telling him you loved him.
♡ Your husband would ask you to sit in his lap, right on top of his aching boner just begging to be touched, and grind against it as he undid the several seams on your back.
♡ Andrew loves mirrors. He doesn't like seeing himself in them, but you? He could watch you be undressed through a mirror all day long. He thinks his hands look good when they're unbuttoning the fabric keeping him from you.
♡ You looked so radiant that Andrew would need to fuck you in front of a mirror just to truly see you.
♡ He would take his sweet time with you, for every untied string he would thrust up to grind against your clothed pussy and nibble your shoulders. Hearing you mewl in his lap causes his hands to fumble as he undresses you. He wondered just how someone could be so cute every time a moan is pulled from your throat.
♡ Andrew felt a little dejected once your dress was ready to come off. He would miss seeing you in it.
♡ ...Those feelings didn't last long, though. The moment he laid eyes on your bare body he was surging with confidence and hunger.
♡ "You look so ravishing... my... my wife..." he muttered, mostly to himself. It appeared he was still in disbelief that you were a wedded couple. Throughout the night he'd periodically mumble to himself that you were his wife, or he'd call you Mrs Kreiss. It had a lovely ring to it.
♡ Andrew wants ー no, needs ー to taste you after being away from you for so long. He would eat you out like a man starved.
♡ Positioning his face between your thighs, Andrew licked a sloppy stripe up your pussy, stopping right below your clit. Then he'd lick back down, avoiding the place where you needed him most. Your frustrated groans earned a soft chuckle from Andrew. He wanted to draw this out... he was in a playful mood.
♡ He massaged your thighs as he teased your folds, finally pulling away to ask you the question that would be the death of you. "Tell me what you want, my... wife..." his voice dropped in volume when he reached your title. He didn't care in that moment how cheesy it sounded, this was the ultimate night to be sappy with his angel.
♡ "Enough teasing, Andrew, please... eat me out," you'd weep through gritted teeth as your husband nibbled your thighs and nodded his head in response your pleas.
♡ Now that he's gotten you riled up for him (he wants to feel needed), he's not holding back. Andrew is the king of being unintentionally rough. He'd leave your core battered from how deep his licks are and how his chin smacks against your soft flesh.
♡ The moment Andrew feels you contract and twitch around him, he's slipping a wet finger into your walls to torture you further. He won't stop his ministrations even as you cum hard around him.
♡ He's extra passionate for your wedding night which translates into him not giving you a break. He doesn't want to pull away from your pussy, he wants to keep his head burrowed between your legs for as long as he possibly can. His tongue is going to commit every inch of you to memory tonight.
♡ If you really want to make this night worth your while, tackle Andrew once you feel overwhelmed and turn the tables on him.
♡ He loves when you take control and take him by surprise. One minute he was devouring you, and the next you've pushed his back against the headrest and you're lowering your head dangerously close to his cock.
♡ He wants you to feel good even as you suck him off, so Andrew will finger you while your lips are wrapped around his dick. He'll angle himself so the palm of his hand rubs against your sensitive nub. It drives him wild how sloppy your strokes and licks are when you're on the verge of cumming.
♡ He'd prefer to cum in your mouth. It's an intimate night, he doesn't want you to be completely covered in his seed just yet. He'd rather save that for the honeymoon.
♡ Chest heaving against your back, Andrew's next move is to pull you into his lap again. Remember how much he loves mirrors? He'll seat you right on his cock and direct your face with his hands to look right into the mirror across from your bed.
♡ "My wife," he'd murmur into your shoulder before snapping his hips into yours.
♡ Having Andrew's mouth so close to your ears means you'll get to hear every gasp and purr that he emits. And he makes a lot of quiet noises he tries to hide.
♡ Andrew made sure to cup a hand around your breasts and kiss your neck & lips as well. He wants to surround you. He wants all of your senses to be overtaken by him until you can't function.
♡ He would whisper praise into your ear, telling you how beautiful you look and how good you feel around him. It's not like him to be this bold and dominant but you're loving it.
♡ Andrew asked to cum inside you that night. When he finally reached his climax, he lifted you up so he could admire the string of cum connecting the husband to his wife. He was addicted to the sight and made sure to capture it in his memories for as long as he could.
♡ After several more rounds of rough licks and hard thrusts, Andrew would want something more soft and classic with you.
♡ Gently lowering you onto the mattress, Andrew would hover over you and press a tender kiss to your lips. With one long thrust, he'd fill you right up and stay like that, your hands connecting.
♡ His thrusts would be slow and sensual, making love to you rather than just fucking you. Don't be surprised if you feel hot tears drop onto your shoulders. This is one of the most sentimental moments of Andrew's whole life.
♡ Your tongues would dance as your lips locked in an intense kiss, you can tell how desperately he's trying to last and make this feel good for you.
♡ Andrew quickly repositioned himself to hit that spot inside of you. He's committed the location to memory, and wouldn't be able to live with himself if he didn't relentlessly batter it tonight.
♡ Your sudden gasps caused his thrusts to grow frantic, his hot breath fanning onto your neck as he plowed you into the mattress.
♡ You could feel his smirk on your skin when you began to pulse around him.
♡ "Good girl..." he would purr, rubbing circles on the back of your hand as you rode out your high. Hearing your cries of pure ecstasy pushed Andrew over the edge, and he emptied himself into you. You had never felt so stuffed before.
♡ Once you've decided you had enough, Andrew's entire demeanour changes. Before, he was determined to push your limits and hear your cries, while now he's insisting that you take a bath. He feels awful that he ruined your hair and makeup, plus you're littered with hickeys and your thighs are stained with seed... he doesn't know that you wouldn't have it any other way.

PLOT. continuation of ‘cold & colder’ where selene and lucas are about to have their arranged wedding, eight months after the events at the gala. sinister forces are at work to stop this wedding from happening, even if it means death.
2021 halloween masterlist
Tumblr media
“selene, i’m telling you what i already know; these flowers will not go with this dress!” selene’s mother had been adamant on her distaste for the flowers her daughter had chosen for her bouquet.
according to her mother it was tacky to want to have black roses as a bouquet.
“great thing you aren’t wearing it, yes? also, this is my wedding, however forced it may be, and i will not allow you to have your way. understood?”
it was rough how she spoke with her mother, but their relationship was strenuous and if it was up to selene, she’d only be her mother by name. queen mei was a lot nicer and more motherly to her than she had ever experienced in her twenty-one years of life. selene wished the undead woman was here instead.
“well, i think it would look lovely paired with you selene! and i’m sure we can make any alterations needed to dress, to make those flowers fit!” her wedding planner, kai, had encouraged.
in the few months selene had been planning this ceremony, kai had to endure a lot of tense conversations and awkward stares. selene would make sure the prestigious wedding planner was paid handsomely.
“thank you, kai. now, what’s next?” she asked, handing the flowers back to the florist before following kai out the shop.
her mother was the last thing on selene’s mind as the two chatted away about the day’s plans. “actually, you and the prince will be meeting at the castle for a private dance session with estelle and eben to go over the first and final dance. after that, you are free for the day.”
selene let out a sigh of relief. planning for a wedding was exhausting. especially one that’s fit for a prince and soon-to-be princess of the vampire race. it was still very weird to her. a huntress marrying a vampire; a prey being with its predator. she was sure that several people throughout the supernatural world were not pleased with this union. and neither was she to be honest, but then she understood why this was happening and figured she push her pride aside for the greater good.
“am i to change then before heading over there?” selene had been dressed in light blue jeans and a cream colored turtleneck with trainers on.
without paying her any mind, kai gave her an answer that had the huntress smiling and rolling her eyes at her. “aye-aye boss lady.”
after selene's comment, the rest of the ride to selene's apartment was silent. reese, her driver, had dropped mrs. cole off first, much to selene's pleasure. their exchange was brief with her mom promising to call later about her table seating for everyone that rsvp'd.
truthfully, selene was surprised by the turnout for the reception. she didn't have many friends, but she did invite the few that still liked her despite her situation. lucas invited whoever he knew and then the rest were just elders that the two would have to grow familiar with during their reign as king and queen.
"hate to put you on a time limit, but you really only have ten minutes before we have to be at the gate to make it on time." kai advised, fingers moving across the ipad.
selene nodded and quickly exited the car with the help of reese, to enter her apartment building. her place of sanctuary for the last four years of her life. she was only twenty-one, about to turn twenty-two, and her she was about to get married to an immortal being. being's that she, just a few months ago, was slaying in the streets at night.
entering her penthouse suite, selene hastily got changed. going through the motions, she slipped on some sweatpants and a cotton crop-top with sneakers. grabbing a water bottle and her keys, selene was on her way out the door when she noticed something.
"took you awhile to notice me darling. planning a wedding makes you soft, doesn't it?" his voice was smooth, non-threatening in the slightest, but that doesn't stop the chill that runs down her spine.
"the fuck are you doing here?" she was nervous. how long had he been here? how did she miss him? why was he here?
the man tsk'd and stood from the loveseat positioned by her window overlooking the city. his posture was straight, footsteps heavy, and stature terrifying. selene was not one easily frightened, but he. . . he was her version of the boogeyman.
she backed up slowly, moving closer to the door for an easy escape. "don't run from me angel. i just came to share something interesting with you."
"who's to say that you're telling the truth?"
suddenly, he stopped moving, almost looking like he was in thought before he lunged at selene and pushed her up against the wall with a harsh grip on her neck.
she was surprised and scared, her nails leaving tiny trails of blood on his hands as she clawed at them for release. he hadn't restricted her airway yet, careful not to squeeze too hard to avoid bruising. his breath tickled her ear as he leaned forward to whisper in it.
"someone isn't who they say they are, princess. several people are working actively against you as we speak. now, i'd hate for my favorite monster slayer to perish over some trivial diplomacy. so, be a good girl and figure out who it is after you and your precious vampire prince." he warned, releasing his grip on her neck at the end.
selene glared at him as she attempted to soothe her burning skin. "how can i trust you? you just attempted to choke me out and broke it my house. how do i know it's not you plotting against me?"
as she questioned him, the man made his way back over to her window and pushed it open. "if i wanted you dead, i would have killed you the second you stepped foot in the door. see you later selene."
and just as easily as he came in, he was gone like nothing happened. all that was left of his presence was her aching throat and her open window.
"hey selene! you in there? we gotta go!" kai's voice pulled selene back to reality and she cleared her sore throat before speaking.
"yes! yes, sorry! i'm coming out now." she called out, hastily picking up the items she dropped and rushing to her door. selene stopped in her tracks at her face in the mirror. her dark skin showed no signs of bruising, but the fear in her eyes said everything she needed to know.
shaking her head, selene attempted to pull herself together before opening her door and stepping out into the hallway.
"that's my bad. i forgot where i put my water bottle." she laughed, locking her door.
her hands were shaking and she cursed herself for being so weak. she's supposed to be this feared huntress and she can't even lock her fucking door.
"hey, you okay? are you nervous about seeing lucas?"
kai was kind. too kind for her own good, but selene had to remind herself that she hadn't grown up in the world she did. where kindness gets you killed.
"yes. just hungry probably. lets go, we're already late."
but what selene didn’t know, and wouldn’t until later, was that people really were watching her every move. and if kai hadn’t of came when she did, she would be dead.

What are your headcanons for the future professions of the girls and boys? Let me know in the answers to this post, with an ask or with a reblog :) ! For me: Filippo - Architect / Designer Sana - Well, she will be a doctor... but what kind of doctor? A surgeon? A GP? I can see her wanting to be useful to her community (and then choosing to be a GP) but also very ambitious (choosing to be a surgeon).  Giovanni - I totally see him as a teacher, though I wouldn’t know if he would be a philosophy teacher in high school or a primary school teacher... Or even a special needs teacher <3 Eva - I see her as one of those who weren’t much good in school but can have a brilliant idea and do well  Eleonora - Owner of a flowershop/greenhouse/perfume laboratory/library/café that she manages together with Malik and Nico. Her library is devoted to books on feminism, racism, classism, homophobia, xenophobia, etc. Marti - I am very partial to Marti discovering he is not philantropic enough to be a doctor but he likes animals a lot so he switches to veterinary medicine. But I also see him well as a critic (food critic, maybe?). Luca - Globetrotter who has a youtube channel for all weird stuff he is willing to try around the world? Will eventually come back to Rome and write a best seller? Silvia - Party and wedding planner  ❤️ Federica - I know this isn’t really mentioned in fics, but she’s the one I actually see having a successful show on the radio. Or writing the next Skam ;D Niccolò - Here comes my biggest “????”   I love the idea of Nico with kids, but wouldn’t want him to have the same career as Even and I also don’t see him having a single full time job but juggling between several...

peyton hasn’t live in georgia all of her life. in fact she is one of the town’s newer residence. she moved there a little under a year ago with her mom and sister.
peyton was born and raised in san francisco in a neighborhood called pacific heights, commonly known as billionaire’s row.
she was born into wealth, her father owning a chain of five star hotels that had been passed down through the generations for as long as she could remember. she spent a ton of time in the beautiful hotels her father owned, learning her work ethic from him. her father was stoic man who put more value on a dollar than substantial relationships with his family. your typical rich dad.
her mother was a trophy wife, spewing meaningless side projects like perfume lines and eye shadow palettes that enviably made their way into departments stores alike.
peyton’s fondest childhood memories was helping set up for the weddings in the hotels. watching the flowers be arranged, the chairs be strategically placed, the wait staff setting the champagne flutes. this lead to her taking an interest in doodling wedding dresses and small flower arrangements.
she has a small wildflower tattoo going along the curve of her breast that she drew, fun fact.
when she was three, her little sister was born. the two grew up inseparable, running amuck in their house together, pranking the nannies but most importantly: ice skating. there were obviously no ice rinks in california naturally but their nanny would take them to an indoor skating rink for lessons. peyton and audrey were quite good skaters.
in high school, peyton won a ton of awards in art contests and even got scholarship to attend art schools across the country.
her dad insisted there was no money in being artist (even if money was never a problem for them), he urged her to take over and be a hotel tycoon like him. peyton and her father fought a lot towards the end of high school about this but at the end of the day, she was her fathers daughter and was stubborn. peyton knew the key to happiness was chasing you passion instead of the dollar.
she attended rhode island school of art and design, earning a degree in interior design and a minor in illustrator. after graduating, she returned home and expected to have a job in the hotel that could suit her.
as she expected, her father got her a job in his business planning the events and having creative control over how each other ballrooms looked as well as the lobbies. working in close quarters with her father made their relationship grow quite strong. the two did everything together and suddenly their stoic walls were crumbling, only for each other.
it seemed as though everything in peyton’s life was coming together. she was the head event coordinator at the hotel, her father was her boss and allowed her to have free range. her sister was around so they could goof off at work.
this was until one day peyton was bringing her father lunch from their favorite mexican food truck in the city. she then walked in on her father sleeping with his assistant which put a stake in their relationship.
peyton couldn’t keep the secret from her mother. she’d rather her mother walk away with dignity rather than stay with a man who had no respect for her. but her mother did not have the same respect for herself.
peyton made the decision to take her funds and move to georgia to be near her grandparents, that’s how she ended up in peach hollow.
peyton’s time in peach hollow
peyton moved to peach hollow three years ago per her ultimatum to her mother that it was either her or her father and her mother chose her father.
she moved into a house on olive avenue and visited her grandparents frequently.
being skeptical at first about the new town around her, it took her a while to warm up and make friends.
she owned her own successful event planning business.
after about a year of living in peach hollow, she started dating leo choi and their relationship was rough from the very beginning. around the time they made things official, it got exposed by the peacher that she was an escort. and it also got exposed that leo had a secret child.
but peach hollow made peyton an extremely happy person and even made her a better human being.
peyton and leo were happy for about a year after overcoming their obstacles, just to run into another. leo got busy with work and his son, growing closer to other people as peyton began to drift away herself. it wasn’t until one day when their estrangement became physical.
leo walked in on his roommate lucas and peyton having sex and that was the end of their relationship. this was also the end of peyton’s time in peach hollow.
the last two years & now
after cheating on leo, peyton moved to nyc to take a job offer at a five star hotel planning events and also freelancing other galas throughout the city.
peyton’s been absolutely thriving, becoming a bit of a party girl with the city life but also finding herself as a professional in the daylight.
she’s even had a few relationships in new york but nothing as serious as her relationship with leo. she lowkey still has their pictures tucked away in her manhattan apartment.
she brought her dog mango to nyc from sanfran.
doesn’t talk to her mom or dad, has cut all ties completely.
moved back to peach hollow (olive ave) bc her grandma is sick and she needs someone to take care of her. is not happy ab it. was living her best life.

Tom Holland x Reader
Request: A Tom Holland wedding fic please very fluff
 Your back hurt.
Almost every muscle in your body did too. But what can you do?
The garden needed to be taken care of.
“Good afternoon, Mrs. Holland!” you heard your neighbour call out.
“Ah, good afternoon, Dear.” you said as you straightened up and went to greet him on your side of the fence. Sean was a nice young man, he has been living next to you for the past three years.
“How’s things?”
“Good, good. How about you?”
“I’m also well thank you.”
After a little chat with him, you decided to leave the flowers for tomorrow and went into the house. You started to think what to do for dinner. You had an idea of asking you husband, so that’s what you did.
“Tom. What would you like for dinner?” you called to him as you entered the living room. You found him sitting on the couch and holding a photo in his hands.
Even if his gorgeous brown eyes got surrounded by wrinkles, they lever lost his young spirit.
“Love, remember this?” he asked as he showed you the picture. You let out a nostalgic sigh and sat down next to him, taking the photo from him. The couple on the picture, young, full of life, they have their whole life ahead of them as they smiled to the camera.
“Our wedding. How could I forget? It was one of the best days of my life…”
-
“Y/N, you need to be out in ten.” called your wedding planner.
To say that you were nervous would be an understatement. Today was your wedding day, you were going to marry the love of your life, Tom Holland.
It was supposed to be the best day of your life. But your thoughts didn’t let you rest.
So many “what if’s” filled your mind.
What if you fall while you walk towards him?
What if he gets the cold feet?
What if he regrets asking you to be his wife?
What if he doesn’t like the dress?
What if you’ll look awful?
Your thoughts got interrupted when Harrison came into your room.
“Wow. Y/N, you look amazing!!!” the two of you got to be good friends when you started dating Tom. And you really needed him to calm you down.
“Thank you, Haz. How is he?”
“You know, nervous and happy at the same time. It’s kind of creppy. I saw him cry and laugh at the same time.”
“So, he didn’t run away. That’s great news.”
“No. But even if he would, I would have beat his ass. The two of you belong together.”
“Thanks.” you smiled at him.
“Y/N! Three minutes!” you heard the wedding planner call. Harrison gave you one last smile before he went out to stand right beside Tom.
When he got down, everyone was sitting in the venue. He stood right beside his best friend and his brothers.
“How is she?” Tom asked. Still visibly nervous.
“She asked the same thing, and I can tell you what I told her. She’s nervous but extremely happy. You are lucky, mate. She looks amazing. You’ll cry for sure.”
“I won’t! I’m manly enough not to.”
“Suuuure.” Harrison teased him back, happy for the couple.
Before Tom can answer back and prove his manliness, the oh-so-familiar music started to play and the doors opened.
And in you came. Wearing your beautiful gown, looking like an angel. You skin glistened in the sun, happiness radiated from you.
Tom couldn’t help it, his tears began to flow.
He never cried easily. Even with his acting, he needed time to prepare and to actually do it.
But as you started to tell your vows to each other, he couldn’t help himself, and you were thankful that the makeup artist choose to do waterproof make up on you.
Your wedding day, certainly one of many important days in your life. The day you got married and vowed to be with him through all. Truly one of the many happy memories you have.
The only day that can beat it was probably the day your children was born.
-
“You looked amazing.”
“You did too! That suit looked perfect on you! And I only looked great, because I was young.”
“No no no, Love. Even now, you look gorgeous. Age cannot ruin your beauty, nothing can.”
“What’s with you today? Trying to make me cry?”
“No, I just saw it on the shelf and then I got the album out. First I checked the one with Emma and Lucas, then I looked at the one with Matty, and this was the last one.”
“Oh, so you took a walk down memory lane? Watching our children and grandchild’s pictures and then our wedding? But next time, call me over. Now I want to watch them too.”
“Then, shall we?” he asked as he picked up the album that had all of your wedding pictures in it.
Dinner long forgotten.

The Decoy Groom (1/5): A CS Fanfic
Tumblr media
I have been absent from the fandom lately, and I woke up this morning with a burning desire to get back in. I miss everyone! To that end, I decided to challenge myself by posting a story I’ve been sitting on for months.
This is loosely (very loosely) based on the movie The Decoy Bride (starring Kelly MacDonald and David Tennant; it’s super cute and highly recommended). Brennan Jones is in this story, and, as it’s a no-magic AU, Tim Omundson will be playing that role.
Title: The Decoy Groom
Rating: M for language and some suggestive scenes in future installments
Summary: After a failed turn as a musician in Los Angeles, Killian Jones has returned to his home: Storybrooke Island, a remote, tiny island off the coast of Maine. Emma Swan is a famous actress that just wants one day out of the spotlight so she can get married. Storybrooke Island, just two miles long and accessible only by ferry, seems like the answer to her prayers. But will she really be able to keep her nuptials a private affair? And can Killian find the solace he craves when there’s a world-famous actress in town?
Also on AO3
Chapter 1
“The wedding is off!” Emma cried out as she stormed into her apartment. She kicked off her black stilettos and combed her fingers through her long blonde hair. Her green eyes narrowed on her fiancé, ready for a fight.
Walsh heaved a sigh and mussed his shaggy brown hair. This was unfortunately something they’d already been through once, and he knew she was not cancelling the event because of anything he’d done. “Who do I have to fire?”
“I don’t know!” she cried. “But someone leaked the location to the press, and now it’s up on TMZ and all the paps are going to be there, and… it’s just ruined! Everything is ruined!”
“Calm down,” Walsh said, putting his hands on her arms. “It’s not ruined.”
“Don’t tell me to calm down,” Emma growled as she pulled away. She stood with her back turned and rested her forehead in her right hand. She took a few deep, cleansing breaths before turning back around. “I think I’ve been pretty reasonable about this wedding. I agreed to your choices for the venue, the guest list, the menus… The one request I had was that we keep the press OUT. Now I’m not even getting that!” She stomped her foot and crossed her arms over her chest. “It’s not totally unreasonable to want this one day of my life to be private, at least for a little while!”
“Emma… come on, think about what you’re saying! You are the most popular movie star in the world! People want to see you get married! And if we would just work with the press instead of against them, we could charge whatever we wanted for exclusive rights. And then that publication will keep the others out. It’s a win-win!”
“No!” Emma cried out. “I have lived my life in the spotlight since I was sixteen! My wedding is going to be private.”
Walsh huffed again and walked to the kitchen. “Fine. You win. The wedding’s off. I’ll call Zelena tomorrow and have her make the cancellations.”
“Thank you,” Emma said, visibly deflating. She followed him to the kitchen and let him encircle her with his arms. “What now?”
“Elope?” Walsh asked. “We could go to Vegas.”
“Hell no. If we’re eloping I want it to be somewhere the press would never think we would go.”
“Some remote island? I could get on board with that. Some private beach in Tahiti?” His brown eyes sparkled with mischief. “We can ditch your big dress and get you a sexy little white bikini.”
Emma pulled away before he could slide his hands any lower. She was not in the mood. “No, there’s always someone with a camera there. We need to go somewhere crazy remote. Some island with less than 100 people where they don’t watch movies and no one knows who we are.”
“Good luck with that. We’re only the most well known couple in Hollywood. Biggest producer. World-famous actress. You’d have to find a place without internet to find somewhere that people don’t know us.”
“It’s got to exist.”
“Fine. I’ll ask Zelena to look into that too.”
“No, don’t,” Emma interjected. “Let me find a place.”
“Are you sure? She’s a wedding planner. This is her thing. She’ll probably know of a place.”
“I want to do this.” She stepped closer and threaded their fingers together. “I’ll find us a beautiful, romantic island where we can have the picture perfect, private, wedding of our dreams. Then we can have a beautiful honeymoon and escape the craziness of this life for a while.”
“Sounds perfect,” Walsh said, but his tone and lack of a smile set off Emma’s lie detector. She knew he’d rather have a flashy Hollywood wedding, but she was adamant on this point. No press. She would find a way. Once they got past this hurdle, their marriage would be perfect, and Emma would finally have the family she’d always wanted.
Killian stepped off the ferry and began the trek toward town. Last time he left, he told himself he’d never be coming back to Storybrooke Island. If only he’d known that he’d be returning three years later with his tail between his legs. He kept his head down and his eyes trained on the pavement as he walked. He’d been fortunate that the ferry driver was new and didn’t know him. And since it was the off season, there wasn’t much foot traffic in town. If he was lucky, he’d be able to traverse the entire two mile walk to the lighthouse at the other end of the island without anyone noticing him.
“Killian Jones! Is that you?”
He groaned before pasting on a smile and turning to face the woman currently running out of her establishment. He’d not even made it a tenth of the way. “Hello Granny.”
“I thought you were leaving us for good? Off to L.A. to make it big with your band. What are you doing back?”
He bowed low before the woman. “You must know that I can never stay away from you for very long, Lady Lucas.”
“Yeah, yeah,” the old woman said, turning her head away from him and waving at him dismissively. She chuffed and turned her head back, her steely blue eyes looking at him skeptically. “You’re here for him aren’t you?”
“Of course I am. I can’t leave him alone.”
“It would serve him right!”
“Regardless of his past misdeeds, he is still my father.”
“You’re too good,” she scoffed.
“I must admit that my motives are not entirely altruistic. I was not as successful as I had hoped I would be. I think it’s time to reevaluate my life and see if there is something more stable I could do to make my name.”
“Well, I forbid you from taking over for him in that lighthouse. You were not meant to waste away the rest of your life there.”
“I’ll take that into consideration,” he said, bowing his head. “I should be going.”
“Tell your father I said hello.” She waved after him.
“Anything else?” he asked, looking back at her with a raised eyebrow.
“That he needs to get off of his sorry ass and come visit me every once in a while!” she yelled, but Killian kept on walking.
He had several similar encounters before finally reaching his destination. When he arrived at the house situated at the foot of the lighthouse, he didn’t bother knocking, but instead simply opened the door and walked inside. It was as if he’d never left. Nothing seemed to change on Storybrooke Island, other than the residents getting a little older every year.
“Killian?” he heard his father yell from the back of the small cottage.
“Aye,” he replied, raising his voice only slightly. Brennan Jones may be getting older, but his hearing was still as sharp as when he was a boy. Killian dropped his suitcase by the door and walked toward the kitchen, finding his father cleaning some fish. His nose crinkled at the pungent smell.
“You’ve been away too long!” Brennan said with a laugh as he spied his son's expression. He rubbed his forearm against the side of his nose and shook his head, his long gray waves shaking loose from the haphazard ponytail he’d secured them with. “Give it a week and you won’t even smell it anymore.”
Killian nodded. “That’s a nice catch there. Where’d you get it?”
“Will has a job on a fishing boat. He gets to purchase them at wholesale price.”
“I see. And where is Will?”
“Out on the boat for another week.”
“And how is Natalie?”
Brennan’s eyes lit up as he smiled. “She’s pregnant! She’s visiting her parents on the mainland while Will’s away, but I’m sure you’ll see her soon.”
Killian forced a smile. Unlike himself, his younger brother had no delusions of grandeur and thus was living a happy existence with his pretty wife, spending their lives on one of the most remote islands in the Northeastern US. It was not a life Killian would have chosen, but after the disappointment of the last three years, he was starting to see the appeal.
He walked over to the sink and began washing his hands. “What can I do?”
“I’ve found it!” Emma said as soon as Walsh answered the phone.
“Found what?”
“The perfect place for our wedding! Storybrooke Island. It’s off the coast of Maine, accessible through only a 90-minute ferry ride or a 30 minute helicopter ride. It has a beautiful church that was built as a replica of one in Ireland. And the best part is, the population is only 60 people!”
“Oh. Sounds… amazing.”
Emma’s mood soured the moment she heard his response. “Can’t you be a little excited for this? You know how much this means to me. There’s no way the press can find us there, and even if they do, they’ll have a hard time getting there in droves. We can have the beautiful, picturesque wedding I’ve always dreamed of.”
“You’re right, gorgeous. If this is what you want, I am happy to do it for you. When do we go?”
“This weekend too soon?”
“No. We can do that. I’ll make sure everything’s cancelled so we can leave Friday. I’ll let Zelena know so she can book the arrangements.”
“No, Elsa’s already taken care of everything. No need for Zelena to trouble herself.”
“Are we bringing anyone with us?”
“Elsa is coming along. The reservation is in her name, and she’ll be my maid of honor and witness. You’ll need to bring someone too. Robin?”
“No, Robin and I had a little falling out. Look, let’s not worry about me. I’m sure someone there can be our second witness. I don’t need anyone else but you.”
“Okay.” Emma breathed a contented sigh. “We’re finally doing this. Are you excited?”
“Hey, babe, listen. I gotta go. We’ll chat more later.”
“Oh… okay. See you tonight?”
“Maybe. I think I’m gonna have a late night again.”
Emma felt her lie detector alarm go off once more, but bit her tongue. “Okay, well, call me and let me know for sure.”
“Will do. Bye babe.”
“Bye…” Emma said, though he’d already hung up.
“Did you hear?” Granny said to Killian one morning a few days after he’d returned.
“Apparently not,” Killian replied.
“Some location scout is coming to check out the old church. They’re thinking about making a movie here. They even went ahead and rented out the place to ‘test the lighting’ or something like that. Could it be anyone you know?”
Killian laughed. “Not likely. LA is a big place, and I didn’t really spent time around the movie crowd.”
“Maybe you should introduce yourself when they’re here. You’re a pretty boy. You could make it in movies.”
“Not sure that’s where I want to focus my efforts.”
“Come on…” Granny teased. “Don’t waste those baby blues. Those are your money makers right there.”
“If I change my mind, I’ll make sure and hire you as my agent.”
“Damn right you will! I’ll ride your coattails all the way off this island!
Stepping off the ferry, Emma was transported back in time. “Wow. It’s so beautiful here! So untouched. Did you see the seals on the beach?”
“Yeah. It’s great,” Walsh said. “Now where is our car?”
“No cars allowed on the island,” Elsa said with a smirk, her crystal blue eyes glancing down at Walsh’s custom-made Italian leather loafers.
“So how do people get around?”
“You’ve got legs,” Emma teased, “start walking.” She stacked her overnight bag on top of the matching rolling suitcase and secured it in place before rolling it alongside as she began the trek. She’d already plotted the course to Granny’s Inn, the only place in town with lodgings for rent. It was a ten minute walk from the ferry. The cool air and calm atmosphere invigorated her. Her hair was pulled up under a beanie and she wore an oversized coat to protect against the chill. There were no cameras around for miles. She was anonymous for the first time in a long time, and finally felt at peace.
They’d only been walking a few minutes when Walsh began to complain. “Can we at least get a golf cart or something?”
Emma stopped and smiled back at him. “You’ve become spoiled. Come on, stretch those legs a little!” She turned her head to look at the beautifully blue sky. “Isn’t this place wonderful?”
Walsh said nothing but continued his trek. They reached Granny’s shortly after, and were surprised to come upon the proprietor herself standing in the yard, talking with a tall, dark haired man with brilliant blue eyes. Emma startled at the sight of him. He was gorgeous! Was he another actor? He was no one she could place, but she felt there was no way this man was simply just an inhabitant of such a secluded island as this.
“Good afternoon,” he said, the lilting tones of his British accent lending further credence to her theory that he was famous. He returned her gaze, and she felt suddenly very warm and exposed. She chastised herself for this sudden attraction to another man. She was here to get married!
Emma quickly broke her stare, and Elsa took her cue and jumped in, discussing their reservation. Granny bid the unfairly attractive man farewell and led them inside to procure keys and show them to their rooms.
Granny’s Inn had four rooms available, and Elsa had rented all of them to reduce any chance that a photographer or anyone else could crash the wedding. She’d engaged a professional wedding photographer that was coming in the morning to sign an ironclad NDA before taking wedding photos. He would not be releasing the photos to anyone other than Elsa. Emma would then review them and select a few to be released to the press at a later date.
The freedom she felt in this remote location could not be overstated. The moment she reached her room, she flopped onto the bed and sighed contentedly.
Killian took a seat in the diner and tried to forget the gorgeous pair of green eyes he'd seen. Although she was bundled up in a beanie and large jacket, he felt like he recognized her from somewhere. He just couldn't place it. Did he perhaps meet her when he was living in L.A.? It was a mystery, but one he hoped to have a chance to puzzle out more.
He was disrupted from his thoughts by a squeal as a blur of brown and red hair tackled him, pinning him to the side of the booth.
“Killian Jones!” The girl cried as she released her hold and permitted him to sit up. “I can't believe you're back!”
“Aye Ruby, I am,” he replied, straightening his clothes. “How are you?”
“In college now,” she said with a smile, bumping shoulders with him. “Not a little girl anymore.” She batted her eyelashes at him. Lashes that framed a striking pair of hazel green eyes. Complimented by smooth, creamy skin and a tall, lithe figure. Ruby Lucas was gorgeous, and she knew it. When he'd last been to the island, she'd been working in the diner and finishing high school online. Now she was a 21 year-old college student, and very clearly hitting on him.
Killian cleared his throat. “What are you studying?”
“I'm still a sophomore, so just working on my prerequisites.”
“And do you still work in the diner?”
She laughed and playfully hit him on the chest. “No way! I live on the mainland now, but when Granny told me you were back, I had to come see for myself. I came over on the ferry this morning.” Her gaze changed from playful to lusty in an instant. “Are you staying upstairs?”
“Ah… no. I'm staying with my father for now.”
“Oh boo,” Ruby said, exaggerating the pout on her lower lip. “I was hoping we could find somewhere to be alone together.” She moved closer and put her hand on his thigh, dangerously close to his groin. “I know you're shy,” she continued, her voice a near whisper. “And I know last time you were here I was a little girl, but I'm not little anymore. I'm a woman, and I know what I want. And, Killian Jones, I want you.” She squeezed his thigh, the tips of her fingers barely grazing his crotch and causing him to jump.
Carefully, he removed her hand from his thigh. “Ruby, you are a beautiful woman, but I just got out of a bad relationship, and I'm not ready to be with anyone else yet.”
“I don't mind being your rebound,” she replied with a giggle. He gave her a wary stare, to which she responded with a full-on laugh. “Killian! Come on! I'm 21 and still in school. I don't want anything serious. But I have had a crush on you for as long as I can remember!” She threw her hands up to emphasize her last point before her eyes took a predatory gleam and she leaned in to whisper once more. “The first time I masturbated, I was thinking of you.” He felt a flare in his cheeks at her words. “I just want to know if you are as good in bed as I imagine.” She rubbed against him, deliberately pushing her breasts into his arm. Killian bit back a groan. “You can deny it all you want, but your body is betraying you.” She glanced down at his pants, where the beginnings of an erection stood out. “I'm here all weekend. You know where to find me.” She slid out of the booth, adjusting her short skirt as she stood, and giving him a glimpse of her lacy black underwear.
Once she was gone, he exhaled a deep breath and took a sip of his coffee, trying to calm down. Had he met a girl like Ruby in L.A., he probably would have gladly taken her up on her offer, even if she was 10 years his junior. But Ruby from Storybrooke Island was different. He'd known her since she was very young, and he saw her in many ways as a little sister. Reflecting on her words now, he felt ashamed for not stopping her sooner. He felt like a dirty old man. He sighed once more and scrubbed his hand down his face, waiting for his hard-on to go down.
Once he felt able to move, he stood and exited the diner, leaving cash on the table for his coffee. He’d suddenly lost his appetite. The entire walk home, he pondered the face of the woman he’d seen outside the inn. He was almost to the lighthouse when it hit him. She was Emma Swan! All thoughts of his encounter with Ruby fled from his mind as he raced inside. He needed to look her up to confirm his suspicion.
He was still staring at his iPad 20 minutes later, not believing his eyes.
“What are you looking at, Killian?”
“Dad!” he jumped, not having heard his father enter the room.
“Who is Emma Swan? She’s quite pretty,” Brennan said.
“She’s an actress, Dad. Surely you’ve heard of her? She was in the ‘Savior’ trilogy. And that thriller about the madman that takes two women hostage. The one where they fight back and have to escape his house of horrors.”
“Never heard of her. It’s not like we have a movie theater here.”
“Well, for some reason, she’s on the island, staying at Granny’s.”
“What would a movie star be doing on Storybrooke Island?”
“I don’t know for sure, but I think maybe she’s getting married in the old church.”
“In the church? But it’s the off season! And I still don’t understand why some Hollywood couple would want to get married here.”
“According to a couple articles I’ve read, she’s canceled her wedding twice because she wants to keep the press out. So it would make sense that she might prefer to come here and have a private ceremony. There’s limited access to the island. It makes for a good hideaway.”
“She’s been trying to escape the press?”
“Aye.”
“I bet they’d pay a lot of money to know that she was here now.”
“What are you going to do, Dad? Are you going to call up TMZ and tell them she’s here?”
“What’s TMZ?”
“Exactly. Let’s leave her be. If she wants a quiet wedding away from the horde, then she should have it.”
“Right…” Brennan trailed off. “I’ll just be off to the kitchen to get started on dinner. How would you like your fish prepared tonight?”
Killian suppressed a groan. After just a few days on the island, he was growing tired of eating fish every night.
Elsa had booked all the rooms at Granny’s Inn, but Emma assumed only two of those four would actually be occupied. So it came as a shock to her that Walsh insisted on staying in a separate room.
“Come on,” she said, standing in the doorway of the room he'd claimed. “This doesn't make any sense. Let's enjoy some quiet time together.”
“I'm really not in the mood,” Walsh grumbled.
“I don't understand, babe. We're getting married tomorrow. Aren't you excited? This is what we wanted.”
“No, Emma!” Walsh snapped. “It's not what I wanted. It's what you wanted. What you've insisted on, even though you know how important this wedding is for my career.”
“Your career?” Emma spat back. “Is that all this relationship is for you? A career move?!” She charged on him and shoved his shoulders. “I thought you loved me?!”
“Shit… that came out wrong. But you know the business we work in! When everyone finds out we ran off to get married in secret, there are going to be a lot of people pissed off that there wasn't a wedding for them to be invited to. People we can't really afford to piss off.”
“Fuck them,” Emma said. “They're not really our friends if they don't understand the importance of this for me.”
“They don't have to understand, Emma. Dammit, don't you see that?! It's not about us. It's about them feeling slighted. And then the next time I need a picture bankrolled, will these people pass me over because I didn't invite them to my wedding?”
“That's ridiculous, Walsh.”
“No, that's business. You're the one being ridiculous! Insisting on a private wedding?! What the fuck are you thinking? You know we don't get to have private lives. That's the trade-off.” He huffed a breath and turned his back to her before muttering something she couldn’t make out.
“What’d you say?”
He turned back to face her. “I said ‘Zelena gets this.’”
“What the hell does Zelena have to do with any of this? She's a wedding planner.” She stepped back and scrutinized him. His face looked suddenly pained, as if he didn’t like her belittling Zelena. Emma suddenly thought back to the past few months. How Walsh was always working late. How he was always speaking to Zelena. He’d volunteered to be the main point of contact for their wedding planner, without any prompting. Emma’d been glad for it at the time as it wasn’t something she wanted to deal with.
“You're sleeping with her, aren't you?”
Walsh stared at her for a full minute before replying. “Stop trying to change the subject.”
“That's not an answer.”
“Emma, come on. Let's not get distracted.”
“No! Lets! Answer me! Are. You. Sleeping. With. Her?”
He groaned fiercely. “Fine! You win. Yes. I've been sleeping with her. She gets this business. She understands. She's not some spoiled starlet who has had no true grip on reality.”
“That's what you really think of me?!” Emma reeled back and punched Walsh in square between the eyes. He doubled over, cradling his head in his hands.
“You stupid bitch!” he cried out, his voice muffled behind his hands.
“What the hell is going on?!” Elsa cried out, charging into the room.
Emma loomed over her fiancé. “Walsh is cheating on me. With our wedding planner!”
“Oh grow up, Emma.” Walsh stood and looked at her, his eyes already blackening and his nose bleeding. He grabbed a tissue from the box on the dresser and wiped away some of the blood. “No one is faithful in Hollywood. She’s just a good fuck.”
“How can you say that?” Emma cried. “I loved you!”
“You’re so naive. It’s part of your charm. You and me, getting married was a business move. It’s going to skyrocket your career and give me even better name recognition. Love wasn’t part of the equation.”
“Get out of here.” Emma bit her cheek to keep her tears from spilling. She had to keep it together until he left. “I don’t ever want to see you again.”
“Good luck with that, sweetheart,” he sneered. “You won’t be able to step foot on a set without my permission.”
Walsh’s head suddenly snapped back again as Elsa punched him in the chin. “Get the fuck out of here, Walsh,” she said, shaking her hand. “Your chauvinistic bullshit doesn’t fly anymore. Here,” she dug into her pocket and threw a business card at him. “That’s the number for the company that runs the helicopter rides to and from the island. Call them and get the hell away from here before I hit you again and break your jaw.”
He bent down and picked up the card before grabbing his still-packed suitcase and stomping out the door. The second he was gone and Elsa closed the door, Emma broke down in tears.
Tagging a few friends. For those of you I discussed the story with, sorry it’s taken me so long to do something with it!

Please continue to sent requests from this list of prompt!
51. ‘’Is that a hickey?’’
63. ‘’Stop worrying. They’re going to love you.’’
Title: Mom, Dad, meet the love of my life
Ship: Skam France | Lucas Lallemant and Eliot Demaury (Elu)
“You know that I love you, right?”
Lucas huffed, a happy smile blooming on his lips at Eliott’s ridiculous question. “Of course, dummy.”
Eliott released a breath. “Okay.”
He received a confused look from Lucas from across the bed.
“Eliott, is there something you want to tell me? Because I can feel you turning around the pot and it’s stressing me out and-”
“My parents want to meet you,” Eliott blurted out, dropping the bomb. “They’re inviting you to dinner…tonight.”
Lucas dropped his textbook. “Tonight?!” he repeated.
With Eliott’s parents having a busy work schedule, meeting them was a struggle. Being a doctors Without Borders, finding a date where Eliott’s father was in Paris was very difficult. His mom was a wedding planner and, therefore, had a lot on her arms with spring right around the corner, aka wedding season madness. They had promised Eliott to let them know when they were available and, apparently, it was tonight.
As for Lucas’s parents, Eliott had met his dad, Pierre, one day at the grocery store - totally on accident - but, he had yet to meet Elizabeth, Lucas’s mother. Following their impromptu meeting, Pierre had treated the young couple to a late brunch that sunday and had really good time together.
Lucas doubted it would be the same pattern with his mom though…
“Yes. Dad came home early and Mom cancelled her late night cooking lessons just for you. She loves cooking, count yourself lucky.”
.
The arrived at Eliott’s place a 6pm. Lucas changed shirt about five timed and was still doubting his choice when they got on the bus. Being a good boyfriend, Eliott kissed him and assured him he was looking perfect, making Lucas blush.
Forty-five minutes later, they got down at Eliott's bus stop and walk up the apartment complex.
''Wait!'' Lucas said as they took the elevator, making Eliott pause, finger hovering over the buttons. ''I didn't bring a gift! Do your parents like wine? Maybe we could-''
Eliott rolled his eyes and pressed the 5, doors closing on them. ''They have plenty of wine in their winery. They don't need any more,'' he assured him, feeling the nervousness emanning from Lucas.
''Maybe I should've put on a button up? I don't want them to think-''
''Stop worrying,'' Eliott interrupted, putting his index over Lucas's lips. ''They're going to love you.'' He tucked a piece of Lucas's hair behind his ear, fingers lingering over the shell of his ear. ''In fact, I doubt they're going to let us leave after dinner so much they will love you. We might have to spend the night here.''
''Where will I sleep?''
''In my bed, where else. Certainly not on the roof.''
Lucas narrowed his eyes and shoved Eliott's shoulder, just as the elevator stopped and the doors opened on the fifth floor. ''You think they'll let us sleep in the same bed?'' he asked, stepping out of the elevator.
''My parents aren't from the 1st century, baby.'' Eliott passed an arm over Lucas's shoulders, pulling him against his side. ''They know we're having sex and, they know we won't do anything when they're sleeping next door.''
Lucas raised his eyebrow, a sudden boost of confidence running through him. ''We won't?'' He bit his lip and Eliott had to hold a groan. That boy...
''Will you be able to keep it in your pants for one night?'' Eliott asked, letting his arm fall from Lucas's shoulders to circle both around his smaller boyfriend, pressing him against his chest.
Being smitten, Lucas kissed over Eliott's hoodie, right where his heart was. ''You say it as if I'm the only one demanding sex but, you're no better.''
Eliott laughed, low rumble coming from his chest, hands slipping down to Lucas's small butt, squeezing a handful, earning a squeal from Lucas. He swatted his hands away, blush creeping on his cheeks - again.
''Stop it!''
With a promise to keep their hands to themselves for the end of the night - the promise went both ways -, the couple walked over to the door number 20.
''There's something on your neck.''
''What? Where?'' Lucas rubbed furiously a his skin, hoping the dirt would go away. ''Is it still there?''
''I think you should check yourself,'' Eliott suggested, biting back a laugh.
Lucas frowned and pulled his phone from his pocket, opening the camera app to inspect his neck. ''Oh my god. Is that a hickey? Eliott! Why didn't you say anything before we left? I can't meet your parents with a hickey on my neck. What will they think of me? That I'm- You think this is funny?'' Lucas asked, catching the smile on Eliott's face, very amused by the whole situation.
Eliott rolled his eyes. ''They won't care. If anything, it'll prove them I love you very much.''
''But it's embarrassing...''
Ignoring Lucas's whining, Eliott kissed his pout and opened the door, leading the way in. ''Hello?Mom? Dad?'' he called into the appartement as they toed off their shoes. ''I brought a surprise!''
''Is it Lucas? Is he here?'' a feminine voice asked from the kitchen. They heard footsteps on the hardwood and, seconds later, a blonde woman was walking in their direction, a bright smile on her red coated lips. ''Lucas! Hi, I'm Gabrielle, Eliott's mother.'' Lucas extended his hand politely but was surprised by a short hug, knocking the air out of him. When she pulled away, Gabrielle turned to her son, swatting his arm. ''You didn't say he was this handsome.''
Eliott kissed Lucas's cheeks, his blush deepening. ''Where's Dad?'' he asked, looking around for his old man.
''I'm here, I'm here,'' a tall man - even taller than Eliott - came out of a room Lucas assumed was his study, judging by the reading glasses on the bridge of his nose. He extended his hand in Lucas's direction, swallowing it with his own as they shook hands, keeping a hard face. ''I'm Thomas.''
''Lucas,'' he replied, tense.
''Drop the act, Dad. You're scaring him,'' Eliott demanded and the man chuckled, a smile spreading on his face.
''Nice to finally meet you, Lucas,'' he said in Lucas's direction.
Lucas released a breath. God, he was so scared Eliott's dad hated him. Thankfully, it was all an act.

Confessions: Chapt. 9 [Date Night]
Tumblr media
Summary: Despite being married for 7 months, Regina and Robin are going on their first date.
Also on AO3
Regina had adjusted to her new life, that sleeping beside Robin was no longer awkward. It was just a part of life. There was the attraction she felt for him, but somehow that didn’t make things any worse between the two of them. She knew that it was purely physical, he was a good looking man. They could lay side by side, him snoring most nights, and it wasn’t an issue.
One night in April ended up changing all of that for them.
It started out innocent enough. They woke up and went through their routine, same as normal. While he showered, she brushed her teeth and made sure the kids were getting up and getting themselves ready. Then they’d switch and he’d help the girls as needed, reminding the boys about backpacks and homework. The end of the process landed the six of them around the kitchen table, enjoying breakfast together while they made plans for the day.
Once the kids had left in their various carpools, the two of them were left alone. Robin pulled on his jacket while Regina slid her feet into black heels. They were almost perfectly in synch after all that time.
“So,” he said. “You don’t have any functions tomorrow do you?”
“Nope. The wedding I’m planning isn’t until next week.”
“Great, and the kids are spending the night at Mal’s.”
Regina tilted her head. “Yeah, they are.”
“Well, Will and Anastasia are engaged. I’ve decided that I want to throw them an engagement party at the bar. Maybe you could come, as my plus one.”
Regina wiggled her eyebrows. “Robin, are you asking me on a date?”
Robin laughed, shaking his head. “A bit awkward considering we’re married, but yes. It doesn’t have to mean anything, I just figured this is something that husbands and wives do, right? They attend their friends’ parties together.”
“I wouldn’t know. I’ve never been married.”
“Right, well, it’s what they do.”
She laughed. “Of course. Do you need any help with the party?”
“Nah, I’m pretty sure that Mary Margaret and David have it all under control. I would’ve asked you, since you’re an event planner and all, but I figured you were busy.”
“It’s fine. It might be nice to actually attend a party where I didn’t have to worry about catering menus or paying the band.”
That handsome smile went across Robin’s face once more, causing butterflies to fill Regina’s stomach. “It’s a date then.”
Robin slowly began to regret the choice to have the party at the bar. It made the most sense, saved money on a venue and no one’s house was big enough to fit everyone. Their friends would still buy drinks and such, but Robin still worried about this kind of stuff. Bars and restaurants easily went out of business in Storybrooke. Probably the longest running eatery in town was Granny’s Diner, and that was only because Eugena Lucas was probably the only person the town’s landlord feared. Even so, David promised him that they would be fine. It was one Saturday of the entire month, and besides, most of the town would be coming anyways.
Most of the day was so busy, he almost forgot that he had asked Regina to be his date. He spent the early afternoon at the bar with the usual lunch crowd and then ushered the kids around town before dropping them off at Mal’s. She loved having them for sleepovers. Lily was getting too old and surly for her to have any fun with, so the Locksley-Mills children were a fun change of pace for her.
He headed back to the house and quickly showered, changing his clothes before heading downstairs and making a few calls to make sure the party went off without a hitch. Regina hadn’t entered his mind at all, until he heard her voice.
“We can’t be late, it’s a surprise isn’t it? We want to beat Will and Ana there.”
He looked up, watching as she walked into the kitchen. The sight of her nearly took his breath away. He had seen her dressed up before, but this was a little different. She wore a red dress, which proved to be backless when she turned to check her makeup in the mirror. As usual she was wearing heels to boost up her normally short stature, but tonight they seemed to accent her legs. How had he not noticed just how sexy they were before then?
Robin wasn’t blind, he was well aware of just how attractive Regina was. He’d be lying if he said that he hadn’t at all felt anything for her since their marriage of convenience seven months prior, but he shrugged it off to the fact that she really was just a great person. She was smart, witty, always had a comeback ready and above all, was an amazing mother. He had watched her stress over planning a huge wedding and coming home exhausted with clear intentions of soaking in the tub, but when Evie and Bryony had asked if she could have a tea party with them, she agreed almost instantly.
He was falling for her, right in that very moment, there was no denying it
Regina turned around to face him and obviously caught the look in his eye. “What is it? Is it too much?”
“It’s…it’s…” For the first time in a while, Robin found himself at a loss for words. He took a few steps forward. “It’s unfair, is what it is.”
Regina looked puzzled at that. “Unfair?”
“You look really sexy right now and I can’t do anything about it, because we have to leave for the party.”
As soon as the words escaped his mouth, he worried he had crossed the invisible line that they had set out. Sure, they were married, but it was clearly for convenience purposes only. They needed to be able to adopt the girls and it was the only way that they could get to know the biological daughter they had been separated from.
Yet, in that moment, he just wanted to be a normal husband and wife. The thought scared him to death. He had been on dates since Marian died, heck, he had even slept with someone else. This was different. This had the potential to be serious. If he and Regina ever did anything, it would change the course of their relationship forever. They wouldn’t just be co-parents anymore, husband and wife of convenience.
Before he could even try to take it back, Regina took hold of his hand, a smile on her own face. “Well,” she said. “There’s always after the party.”
Regina had come to really like Robin’s friends. Will could be a bit crude at times and he often spoke without thinking, but he was really funny. Anastasia was harder to read, but at the end of the day, no one could doubt that they were made for one another. The rest of the bar staff always treated her kindly and unsurprisingly due to their small town, most of the people Robin knew, she did as well.
Even so, she found herself so impatient that night. She wanted to take her husband home and fuck him so had.
Regina couldn’t believe that she was even thinking about him in that way. After he called her sexy, though, it was as if her eyes had opened. Of course she had feelings for Robin. He was sexy, intelligent and a tremendous father to boot. She realized she had fallen for him months earlier, around Valentine’s Day. Henry had been so nervous to talk to his crush and Robin walked him through it like a pro. Seeing how good he was, with a kid that he had only known for a short while, made her so happy. The sight of his smile brought butterflies to her stomach, as clichéd as it sounded.
Even that night at the party, she watched him make the rounds and she felt slightly jealous that she had to share him. It was the first time since they said “I do”, that she actually felt like a wife.
Was this what marriage was like? Watching your husband and counting down the minutes until you could have sex?
Thank God the kids were with Mal.
Regina ran her mind through the obvious things. She had been on the pill for years, ever since Evie was born. It regulated her period and for the rare date that she had, she wanted to stay safe. Both of her children had been planned and she didn’t have time for any “whoops” with a one night stand. She searched her mind, trying to think of who the last person had been, realizing it was probably Ursula Triton. That had been 5 months before she even found out about the switch. Robin had told her previously that he hadn’t been with anyone since Zelena.
 The anticipation was killing her.
After the last non-employees had left the party, Regina and Robin stayed behind to help clean up. Once the busboys had assured them that they could handle the rest, they drove back to the house. It being quiet was so unusual. With four kids, their life was normally anything but.
They walked inside, standing in the dark foyer for a moment. Neither moved to turn on the lights and Regina still had her black clutch in between her fingers. The only source of brightness was the porchlight outside  Robin took a step closer to her, his hand grazing her back.
“I meant what I said about this dress being unfair,” he mused.
Regina softly smiled. “Do you want to do something about it?”
“I do…if you do.” He was quiet for a moment. “We’re husband and wife, this shouldn’t be so weird.”
“To be fair, this isn’t the most…traditional of marriages.”
“I guess it’s not.”
Regina brushed her fingers over his stubble. “I’ve wanted this. I wouldn’t let myself think about it…but I wanted it.”
“You should’ve said something.”
“And risk what we have?”
“I feel like we’re overthinking things.”
He cupped her cheek and kissed her, causing Regina to drop her clutch. The butterflies were replaced by a warm tingly feeling, almost as if she were merely getting wet by his tongue grazing her own. She wasn’t that easy…was she? No, no, she told herself. It had just been awhile and it was so long overdue…
Fuck, she didn’t want to think anymore.
By the time they pulled away for air, Regina was already leading the way up to the bedroom. Along the way, clothes were discarded along with any undergarments they had underneath. Regina took in Robin’s body once they reached the bedroom. She had seen him without a shirt before, but never his lower half. He was already hard, his cock quite large.
 “Someone’s eager,” she whispered.
Robin grinned, taking her in as well. “Those breasts.”
He took a step forward, cupping them in his hands. Robin began kissing her neck, somehow finding her sweet spot within moments. Regina let out a soft moan, tilting her head back. His hands traveled lower, locating her own downstairs department. It had been a busy couple of days and she hadn’t had the time to shave, so there was a little fuzz. If Robin minded, he didn’t say anything. His fingers pulled onto the bits, causing her to let out another moan.
 “Protection,” he mumbled, half-heartedly.
“On the pill.”
That was all he needed to pull her into his arms and lay her backwards on the bed. There would be no staying on their respective sides that night, she was placed right in the middle. Robin leaned down, acting like he was learning a new trades. He kissed various parts of her body, trying to find what made her moan the hardest. His fingers slipped inside her clit and he was gentle, aware of the lack of lubricant to protect her. Even so, she could feel herself becoming wetter by the moment. She easily could’ve orgasmed to that alone, but she didn’t want to.
“Robin,” she gasped, as his fingers went a bit deeper.
“Mmm…”
“As much as I love that, I don’t want our first time to be me coming all over your fingers.”
He chuckled, pulling out and carding his clean hand through her hair. “Oh? What is it you want?”
Regina decided to take charge, leaning up and grabbing hold of him by the waist. “You know exactly what I want, so you better give it to me. From the looks of it, your cock is ready as well.”
A smirk tugged across Robin’s lips, knowing full and well that his erection was waiting on them. “Ma’am, yes ma’am.”
Robin straddled her and once he was inside, she knew she couldn’t be on the bottom anymore. With a little force, he got the message to pull out and roll over, so she could ride him as she wanted. Her fingers gripped onto his dirty blonde hair, staring down into his deep blue eyes. He was moaning all the while, she could swear he’d whimper a bit whenever she pulled away from him. The sound made her chuckle, as she leaned down to graze his lips with a kiss.
They lasted for longer than she originally imagined, despite how ready they had felt before. She realized that some things simply couldn’t be rushed. The end result was worth it, feeling him come inside of her and the orgasm that followed was truly wonderful. She wouldn’t be able to walk the best the next day, but it would definitely be worth it.
Laying beside him, Robin wrapped his arms around her. For the past 7 months, they had fallen asleep on their respective sides of the bed and yet always wound up tangled up together the following morning. Both blamed it on the fact that that they moved in their sleep. Tonight was different, they chose to cuddle up in one another’s arms before they did. As she looked up at the man she had just had sex with, Regina realized that she loved Robin Locksley. It was too soon to say it, but fuck it if it wasn’t true.
She fell asleep in a man’s arms for the first time since Daniel died. No other person, man or woman, had ever actually spent the night nor had she at their place. That was intimate to her. Doing it with Robin, it just felt right.
Little did she realize, Robin was not falling asleep that easily. He held her in his arms, watching as she drifted off. While she felt pure bliss, he suddenly felt very scared. He too had come to the realization that he was falling in love with Regina Mills.
He had only ever been in love once before, that was with Marian. Her death had left him shaken. Despite the warnings from the doctors and their several discussions over the what ifs, the event itself had been enough to traumatize Robin. In one moment, they were celebrating the birth of their beautiful baby boy. In the next, Marian was gone. There had been no time for infamous last words, no goodbyes or “I love you”s were exchanged. No, she had a seizure and he was rushed out of the room with the baby. Within a half hour, he got the news. They had done all they could, but there was no saving her.
Robin gained a son, but lost his wife. He did his best to keep it together. He put himself last for a very long time, to the point that his health was compromised. He learned how to ask for help, he learned that he could feel whole again. Losing his parents had been hard and at the time, he thought it’d possibly be the hardest thing he’d go through. In the end, it had been losing Marian that destroyed him
“What have I done,” he muttered to himself as he watched Regina sleep. He had allowed his emotions to get the best of him, he was falling for her and that was dangerous. What if he committed his heart and then he lost her? What if she left him in the same way that Marian had?
Robin couldn’t give his heart to Regina. Not because it still belonged to Marian, but because of what she represented. He couldn’t let his heart go through that pain again. Marian had been the last loss he could possibly suffer and he’d cling to her if it meant no more pain.
“I am so sorry, Regina,” Robin whispered.
He kissed her forehead before climbing out of bed. Pulling on some pajamas, he tidied up the stairs and left a note for her, letting her know that he’d pick up the kids in the morning. He spent the rest of the night, trying to fall asleep on the couch, but by the time he left for Mal’s, there were bags under his eyes. They symbolized both his lack of sleep and his guilt.

Can I request a fic for Victor? Maybe it's his birthday and reader plans a surprise party for him (with some friends or just them two, whatever he'd enjoy most!) Thank you!!
🎁 promise rings // victor grantz
Tumblr media
december 25.
for most people, that was a day for joyous celebrations under the mistletoe with stockings and christmas trees. for victor, that was the day he was brought into this world.
it was never a day he felt inclined to celebrate, he only remembered the date for legal purposes. to verify his identity, to confirm his age. not to mention his birthday fell in line with the most famous holiday of the year, there were more important things to do than wish a lone postman a happy birthday.
not for you, however.
while victor was battling in rank, you had called his two closest friends luca and andrew to your shared dormitory in the oletus manor. together, you were going to throw him his very first birthday party with the materials bestowed upon you by miss nightingale.
victor's birthday, dubbed his character day, gave out gifts to other survivors in the manor... but nothing special for victor himself. it stung you knowing that people he had never spoken to received spyglasses and clues for his birthday when he'd go to sleep without any unique presents for himself. you were aiming to fix that.
luca and andrew weren't the best people to set up a party with, but they meant lots to victor so you were excited to see his reaction to everyone being together. the three of you strung up banners on the walls, blew up balloons, prepared a very messy cake, and wrapped him presents from a variety of survivors he was on good terms with. a major problem you kept facing was luca accidentally sending electric charges to balloons, the balloons popping, and andrew screaming and dropping the decorations. not many of you had experience wrapping presents either, but you were determined to make this work for your boyfriend. maybe the imperfections would make him feel more at home and relaxed?
once the last balloon string was tied and the final present was plopped on the main table, victor's footsteps signalled his perfectly on time arrival. your trio hid behind furniture (tried to, andrew's size had him stick out like a sore thumb) as the key turned and door creaked open.
victor stepped into the room, setting down his bags while wick ran wild, lunging at the balloons and tearing the ribbons from the wrapping paper. "easy boy," he cooed, before his eyes flicked up and caught sight of the heaps of decorations.
as a gasp fell from his lips, the three party planners bounced from their hiding places, shouting a 'surprise!' for the postman. confetti blasted from your horns and a cheerful jingle played over the record player when andrew pressed it. victor tensed where he stood, he had no clue how to react. he's never attended any sort of birthday bash, what was he supposed to do? you could sense his panic, so you scooped up a small pair of gifts and guided him to sit on the couch. luca and andrew followed suit, surrounding him and giving him encouraging looks.
victor's hands made quick work of the wrapping paper and was overjoyed to see that edgar gifted him a custom made mail bag, with a drawing of him and wick embroidered on the side. it was a tremendous improvement from his old scuffed one riddled with holes that the occasional envelope would slip out from. you handed him another gift as he beamed brighter than a million suns. this was from tracy, it was a twenty-in-one glitter pen that let him change ink colours with the press of a button. how did tracy know he wanted one of these? how did she add twenty colours? some of them were directly picked from his skins, he felt teary-eyed when he thought about how much consideration must have gone into it. "you like your gifts so far?" luca asked him with keen interest. victor nodded, he still couldn't find the right words to thank everyone but his birthday was growing more exciting by the minute.
"alright vic, this one's from luca," the present was a bike, anyone could tell by the way it was wrapped. why did luca even bother wrapping it if it had such a distinguished shape? whatever, luca was luca. victor's eyes lit up when he saw you wheel it over and he shredded the wrapping paper right away. delivering letters would be much easier if he didn't have to travel by foot. he was already devising schemes for kiting the hunter while you passed him andrew's gift.
andrew gifted him with a candle set, it smelled of cinnamon and warm ink used to seal letters. they were some of victor's favourite scents packed into one love-filled candle, he was so ecstatic his legs began to bounce.
once the shock of having a birthday party wore off and victor's tongue untied itself, he began to gush about how great his gifts were and how hungry he was for a slice of cake. it was so rare to hear a typically silent postman babble on about his special day. you knew one thing: you wanted to do this for the rest of your life. andrew sliced the cake into even pieces of chocolatey goodness and passed everyone a plate with a beverage of their choice. the four of you talked and talked and talked, victor easing himself into your conversations.
the sun began to set so your two guests decided to leave for the night. after plenty of games of pin the tail on the donkey and truth or dare, luca and andrew bid you both farewell.
victor was still pumped with adrenaline and shoving down cake long after the pair left. something was off though, did you forget to do something? right as the thought struck his head, you took a seat beside him and removed a small wrapped box from your pockets. "go on vic, open it," you grinned from ear to ear when his eyes widened at the sudden surprise. victor placed the plate of cake down on the table with a clank and opened his present.
inside were two identical promise rings. a heart shaped gem sat in the middle, a gradient between your favourite colour and victor's. his heart dropped. "these aren't wedding rings, they're promise rings! it means..."
"that you want to stay with me? ...forever?" victor interrupted, his voice full of wonder.
"i do. and i will. happy birthday, victor."

What do I think of when I think of Rick and Jean?  True Love, Soul Mates, Destined for each other.  They are the type of couple that makes me believe 100% in every clique term related to love. I’m pretty cheesy, I love the Happily Ever After, the fate of finding the one with whom your soul loves,  simply put they are perfect for each other, they know it, I know it and everyone around them knows it.
Both successful in their own right, Jean a physician and Rick, let’s be honest, I don’t know what he does as it is far above my head haha. They compliment each other in every sense of the word, watching them together is one of my greatest joys. They are magnetic in their love and attraction for each other, never veering far from one another.
Tumblr media
The day started at Jeans, soon to be Ricks home, for pre-ceremony coverage. From the moment I saw Jeans dress hanging in her bedroom, I knew before it was even placed on her that it was absolutely perfect for her, gorgeous and with just the right amount of sparkle. After capturing all the important moments of the ladies getting ready, we headed to the church to capture Rick and his groomsmen. IT took all of 5 minutes to realize, that this group was going to be just as fun as the ladies and it was going to be a great day!
Tumblr media
In the wedding planning, Jean is the master planner and always kept me in the loop and asked for recommendations, which I appreciate and also feel very honored that she would consult me for recommendations. I have been shooting weddings for 18 years and I know a ton of vendors for just about every aspect of wedding planning that you can think of.  Jean had so many details in her day that it would literally be hard to list them all, but one of my favorites was the horse drawn carriage ride,  John Popp brought Jean and the bridesmaids from the Museum in Beaver to the gazebo for a few photos then proceeded to take them to the ceremony, the carriage wait during the ceremony and took Rick and Jean from the ceremony to the gazebo in Beaver for some follow up photos. It was so sweet and romantic to see those beautiful, majestic horses galloping down Third Street.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I truly don’t know how I could ever choose my favorite moment of the day from the wedding of Jean and Rick, as they are all my favorites. Their entire day was everything I hoped it would be for them, everything they planned it to be and everything that Hallmark movies are made of(my favorite this time of year). Just like a Hallmark movie, you can see Jean and Rick for 5 minutes and get sucked in, their love is contagious, their attraction undeniable and their love for one another clearly shown.
This blog post could be a hundred pages long and still not cover all my favorite moments from the wedding day. But here are a few, the horse drawn carriage rides, Rick and Jeans face as she walked down the aisle, it was as if there was no one else there, it was electric, full of emotion and heartwarming. Their embrace at the outdoor photographs, their first dance, holding each other and connecting on a level that others dream of, the sparklers pictures, these people are professionals! It’s like they had done it a thousand times before.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know, I connect with all my clients in one way or another and maybe if Jean and Ricks wedding was a different weekend, a different time of year or even a different year all together I would have ugly cried at a different moment, but their wedding it happened during Rick’s dance with his sister. I don’t know why it hit me so hard, maybe because my baby brother(he’s 26 and I still call him my baby brother despite the fact that he is now 8-9 inches taller than me, but we are 11 years apart and to me, he will always remain just that) had just moved back from Chicago, a month prior to their wedding and I had missed him terribly while he was gone. But my goodness, watch Rick and his sister dance at his wedding, wiping tears as they did, I knew what a special connection they had and now that Rick was moving to Pittsburgh following the wedding, I knew that she would miss him terribly, just as I had missed my brother. It was sweet and I hope to share in a moment just like that one day with my baby brother, Jesse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jean and Rick are extremely thoughtful in their planning and invited those who mean the most to them in the whole world, that being the case, it was a “smaller” wedding in number of guest but larger in love. We discussed prior to the wedding how we wanted to walk around to each table and get a photo with all the guests, as each one was hand selected and thoughtfully meant to be there.
It is in that thoughtfulness that Jean and her family and friends prepared cookies for the cookie table, this resulted in, hands down, mic drop, the largest Pittsburgh cookie table I have ever seen in my 18 years of shooting weddings, this was not a cookie table, this was a cookie room! They had the main cookie “table” that was 3 tiers high and 24 feet long, with smaller 6 foot tables at the corners of the room with cookies on them, as well as the hallway that leads to the room adorned with plates of cookies. I would love to know the exact number of cookies, I’m going to have to ask Jean, I’m sure that she knows. My uneducated guess would be well over 10,000.
It was truly unbelievable! In fact following the wedding, Jean’s mom brought me a container of cookies for myself, my mom and my kids, they were delicious and so sweet of her to think of us.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jean had thought of everything in her planning process and there was not an inch of the room that didn’t scream Jean and Rick, it was stunning, but what I left with on their wedding day was that true love does exist, their love for one another is sweet, inspiring and not at all tangible. When you are in the room with them their connection is deep and amazing and the things of fairytales or story books, but the excitement of the wedding planning, the day, the honeymoon…it has not left them, not for even a second. This is their life and I am blessed to have met them, honored to have been chosen to photograph their wedding and humbled to know of their gratitude.

May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand. May God be with you and bless you… May you be poor in misfortune, Rich in blessings, May you know nothing but happiness From this day forward. May the road rise to meet you May the wind be always at your back May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home And may the hand of a friend always be near. May green be the grass you walk on, May blue be the skies above you, May pure be the joys that surround you, May true be the hearts that love you.

We came, we saw, we played, we got severe sunburn on our feet. Well, at least I did because I’m an idiot who only puts sunscreen on 95% of his body. Other than having feet the color of plums for the entire show, I had a hell of a time at my first ever E3. Yes it was loud, crowded, and chaotic, but it was also probably one of the greatest three day stretches of my life… ever. Obviously it can’t compare to my wedding or the birth of my children, but I’ll be damned if it isn’t close behind those monumental life moments.
From getting to meet industry icons like Neil Druckmann and Victor Lucas, to seeing and playing a slew of amazing games, it was 21 hours of pure joy. The sheer spectacle of it all is something that I’ll never forget. As I try and digest it all and choose which moments stood out the most to me, I realize that by attending the show in person I probably saw less games than I would have if I had been at home on the couch watching the countless YouTube videos of gameplay, but seeing as many games as possible isn’t what going to E3 is all about. But I did manage to pick out 3 games that I either played or saw lengthy demonstrations of that stood out from the rest of the pack and are my Games of the Show.
Spider-Man
From the behind closed doors demonstration that we got for this game, I don’t think it’s an understatement that this game could very likely end being the best that developer Insomniac has ever created. Through a combination of stunning visuals, amazing cinematic quick time sequences, and fast paced combat that seems inspired by the Arkham series, this game is ready to set the bar for what comic book based video games can be. If the entire game is as good as what was shown this week, it’s already an early contender for Game of the Year for 2018.
Detroit: Become Human
Developer Quantic Dream are experts on crafting interesting narratives in games. With previous titles like Indigo Prophecy and Heavy Rain, they’ve managed to push the limits of interactive fiction. Their newest game takes place in a future where androids have begun to rebel against their human masters and you take on the role of several of these androids, from one that is investigating the phenomenon of androids becoming self aware, to one who is leading the fight for equal rights between humans and androids. The gameplay mechanics may be familiar, but the story is incredibly interesting and will hopefully once again force players to make some difficult decisions.
Super Mario Odyssey
Super Mario Odyssey is the perfect blend of nostalgia and fresh ideas. It both reminds you of classic 3D Mario titles such as Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, and turns the series on it’s head with weird and wacky new concepts. You’re once again rescuing Princess Peach from the clutches of Bowser, but this time you need to get past his army of evil wedding planners first. Yep….. that’s what I said. And the new mechanic of being able to toss your sentient hat Cappy onto various enemies to take control of them is an exciting and neat gameplay mechanic. I think if any game has the potential to give Zelda a run for it’s Game of the Year money, it’s Odyssey.
I never would have imagined that after 3 days and countless games, I still feel like I could have spent a few more days at the L.A. convention center before I saw everything, although I don’t think my body could have held out that long. E3 2017 was an absolutely unforgettable experience that has reenergized both my love of the games industry and my excitement for what we do at Mega Dads. I hope that this is only the beginning of our starting to attend more of these events and expand the type of coverage that we can do. That L.A. traffic on the other hand….
E3 2017 Wrap Up: John’s Take We came, we saw, we played, we got severe sunburn on our feet. Well, at least I did because I'm an idiot who only puts sunscreen on 95% of his body.

Once In A Lifetime Chapter 39 A Big Day
Seth's POV
Summer was ending and Cindy's wedding was coming soon.  Lissa was unbearable as she was moody as hell.  I kept reminding myself it was just the hormones.  So, when she yelled at me, I took it.  Sometimes she got out of hand and I couldn't help but to yell back.  I always apologized afterwards cause she end up crying.  I hated to see her like that.  She would always cry worse and tell me how she was sorry as well.  That she couldn't control it, she was just hormonal.  I understood.  I still loved her.  I was trying to make the best of the situation as this was the first time I had been around a pregnant woman.  Hell, my sister being pregnant, I avoided her like the plague as I seen her blow up a few times.  But I couldn't avoid Lissa.  We also found out we got the house we put an offer on.  We got moved in quickly and settled.  The house was much bigger then Lissa's.  I had already sold my house as I mostly stayed with Lissa anyways.  Now we were working on Lissa's house to be sold.  Everything was a little much.  But I knew the end result would make up for it all.  We even had the 20 week appointment.  They asked if we wanted to know the sex of the baby, which prior to the appointment, we talked about.  Lissa wanted to know.  But I wanted to wait.  I like the element of surprise.  She wasn't happy about it but she agreed.  Even though Lissa and I were on shaky ground, I still was happy.  I knew this was temporary.  So, I kept an upbeat mood about it.  I had also finished my movie so I was home more.  I was happy to be with my family.  I came home to find Lissa was wearing her bridesmaid dress as the wedding was only weeks away.  Cindy was there too to see how it fit since they had to get a different size since Lissa belly grew with her pregnancy.  I was stunned on how beautiful she looked.  She saw me and looked unhappy.  I asked, "What's wrong?"
"I'm fat, Seth.  I'm going to be a whale at her wedding."  She looked to be on the verge of tears.
Cindy quickly said, "Lissa, you are pregnant.  You look beautiful."
I smiled and jumped in, "Cindy is right.  You are gorgeous."  I moved over to her as my words or Cindy's didn't seem to help.  I put my arms around her.  "You're absolutely radiant, love."
I saw her give a small smile.  I succeed in making her feel better.  Then Cindy noticed the time.  "Shit.  I gotta go.  I have a meeting with the wedding planner.  Just a few lose ends to cover."
She walked over to us and gave Lissa a hug as well as myself.  "You look beautiful, sweetie.  I can't wait till you are up there with me.  I am so happy you are my maid of honor."  She told Lissa.
Lissa smiled.  "Me too.  I just wish I wasn’t pregnant for the wedding."
"Oh, hush.  Just another member of our family will be there."  She said sweetly as she touched Lissa's swollen belly.  "It's almost perfect actually."
I smiled as I noticed Lissa smiling.  "Thanks, Cindy."
Cindy gave her a small kiss on the cheek and let go of her belly.  "Okay, chick, I will see you later."
We said goodbye to her as she moved out.  Then Lissa moved over to the mirror and looked at herself through the mirror.  She frowned as she looked at herself in the dress.  I moved over and wrapped my arms around her.  "Baby, you may not see it, but I really do think you look beautiful."
She leaned against me and said, "I'm so glad we are getting married after this baby is born.  I cannot be big during our wedding."
I then said, "About that, I have been wanting to talk to you about us getting married.  I really don't want to wait till the baby is born to get married."
She turned to me, almost stunned.  "No way!  I am not going to be a fat, prego woman at our wedding!" She was almost yelling at me.
"Well, I was thinking, why don't we just go to the courthouse and get married."  I said.
"What?"  She seemed more stunned.  "Why?"
"Well, I know how you feel about having a big wedding."  She has said a few times she didn't want a big wedding.  "So, really its for me as I do.  But I really thought about it.  I don't care about that as long as I get to marry you.  I just don't want to wait till the baby is born to get married."
She smiled as she was happy that I wanted it this way.  She embraced me, happily.  I hugged her back.  She pulled back and asked, "So, when?"
"I want to do this as soon as we can, actually.  Maybe this week if we can.  We can get the marriage license and get married the next day at the courthouse."  I said, happily.
"Okay.  Let's do it then."  She smiled and leaned in as she took my lips.  Then she pulled back and then said, "Wait.  I kinda don't want to steal the limelight from Cindy.  It's her turn."
"This is why I think we should do it before she gets married.  And try to keep it quiet.  I know that will be difficult with our statues but it is worth a shot.  If we did it after, it would for sure take it from her.  Plus, I don't think Cindy would care."  I told her.
"Well, I'm going to talk to her first about it.  Just to make sure.  I really don't want to steal her thunder."  She told me.
I smiled and nodded.  "Okay, love, just let me know."
She left the room and I went to find the boys as it was quiet.  I knew by now that could be trouble.  I found KJ was in his room playing video games.  He stopped long enough to say hi and then went back to it.  I walked into Jacob's room to find Josh and Jacob playing together nicely.  I just smiled but didn't bother them.  It was rare when they got along so I wasn't going to get in the way.  I walked back to the living room and sat down as I looked at my phone.  Lissa then walked back out as she out of the dress and into her regular clothes.  She honestly looked great for six months pregnant.  I honestly couldn't believe she was already six months along.  She said to me as she walked in, "So, talk to Cindy and she is actually overjoyed about it.  She said she is more then okay about it but she demands to be a witness as I will not have a maid of honor.  I told her that should be okay."
"I am perfectly okay with it."  I said with a smile.
"Okay, great."  She smiled back.  She sat down and asked, "So, when do you want to get the ball rolling."
"How about we get the license tomorrow and we get married the next day."  I said to her.
She bit her lower lip and smiled.  "I would actually love that."
I moved my arms around her and held her.  I then asked, "So, when do you want to tell the boys?"
"Oh, shit.  I forgot about that.  I mean, they seem to be happy about us getting engaged.  I am sure they will be happy about us actually getting married."  She said.  I think more to herself as I knew she feared they might get upset.
I only held her tightly as to comfort her fears.  "I'm sure they will be."
She looked up at me and smiled.  "So, I'll get to be Mrs. MacFarlane."
"You are taking my name?"  I asked, a little surprised.  Usually in this business, women didn't take their significant other’s name or hyphenate it.  So, I was a little surprised she would.
"Of course."  She smiled at me.  "It would be a little weird that I still have my ex husband's last name after we are married.  I only kept it after my divorce cause well, that is what I was known as in the biz and I didn’t wanted my kids to be confused with me having a different last name.  But now since I am going to marry you, I plan on taking your name, Seth."
I smiled as I was more happy to hear this.  I was prepared for her to keep her name but she wasn't and honestly meant the world to me.  I only moved in and kissed her deeply.  I pulled back as I said, "I honestly can't wait for the next couple days to fly by so I can make you officially mine."
She leaned against me and said, softly, "I can't wait either."
I held her as everything seemed to be falling into place in our lives.  It wasn't perfect but I didn't want anything else.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Melissa's POV
The next couple days flew by, we were at the courthouse and I was actually nervous.  Seth on the other hand, seemed calm and collected but happy.  He were waiting for us to be called back.  His dad and sister were there as my boys as well as Cindy and Lucas.  I wanted to invite my other friends but it wasn't a very big room.  But they agreed to join us for dinner afterwards as we would celebrate.  I sat in the chair waiting as my knee bounced.  My youngest walked up to me and climbed in my lap.  He then asked, "After you and Seth are married, will he be my new daddy?"
I noticed Seth turned to us as did the rest of the group as they heard his questioned.  I looked at them as I felt put on the spot.  Even by my now five year old.  I then smiled at him and said, "Well, he will be your step dad."  I told him.
"Good."  He smiled.
Seth smiled at me and walked over to me.  He grabbed Josh out of my lap and held him.  "You know I love you and your brothers, right?"  He nodded.  "Well, me and your mommy getting married just will officially make us a family.  So this is a good thing, buddy."
He smiled at Seth and hugged him.  Seth hugged him back.  I saw the rest of the adults smiling at the pair and I couldn't help but smile as well.  My nervousness suddenly vanished.  I was definitely ready to marry this man.  They finally called our names.  We all moved to the room.  It was a small room and the county clerk quickly got into it as Seth held my hands and looked at me.  We quickly said our I dos and exchanged rings.  It was short and sweet and honestly, I was glad it was.  Before I knew it, he was telling Seth to kiss his bride.  Seth smiled and kissed me, deeply.  Everyone clapped.  We left the courthouse now as Mr. and Mrs. MacFarlane.  Seth was really happy.  So was I.  The smile wouldn't leave my face.  We were outside of the courthouse as we took pictures.  A few of Seth and I alone then of us with the kids.  I looked at the pictures afterwards.  I saw one of me looking at Seth just so in love as Seth smiled at the camera.  I really loved that photo of us.  Seth looked over my shoulder as I looked at them and said as that photo popped up, "I really like that one."
I looked up at him and smiled.  "Me too."
He looked down at me and asked, "So, what do you want to do now, Mrs. MacFarlane?"
I smiled at that.  I then said, "Well, I am ready to eat.  Your child is hungry."
He chuckled.  "Alright, love.  Let's go to dinner."
We all left and meet at the restaurant.  Our other friends were there.  We walked in and the rest of the group clapped and cheered for us.  I slightly blushed as I sat down.  Seth sat next me and the boys sat close to us.  Everyone else seated with us as well.  Then Mike said, jokingly, "Seth, I think you really did it now.  Now you are stuck with her for life.  You poor soul."
Seth moved his arm around me and said to him, "I think she is the one stuck with me."
I rolled my eyes and laughed.  "Well, I think I did that the moment I got pregnant.  So, I decided why the hell not get married."
"Oh, so only marrying me cause I knocked you up."  He cracked back.
"I know how to trap them."  I joked.
He laughed, then kissed me.  He then said, softly into my lips, "I don't mind you trapping me."
I smiled at him.  The waitress came over and we ordered our food.  When she walked away, Cindy leaned in and said, "You know this means our wedding days are in the same month."
I didn't realize it before and actually got giddy about it.  "That is best friend goals, right there."
Cindy chuckled.  "You are not lying about that."
I looked around as our family was there celebrating us getting married.  I was happy to have such a wonderful family.  And my family only grew as now Ron and Rachael were now my family.  I couldn't be happier.  Seth looked over and smiled.  "You good, baby?"
"More then good."  I smiled back.  "I'm really happy."
He moved in as he smiled and kissed me again.  I leaned against him after we broke the kiss.  Now I was his for the rest of his life.  I was truly happy about that.

Lucas Friar moved back to Texas at 17, now he’s running for Mayor of Rosewood Springs so best friend Zay and little sister Gigi decide he needs a little help from a political consultant.
Riley Matthews found her calling, she found a fiancé, but she never expected to find herself here, of all places.

Author Note: I meant to get this done yesterday, but stuff happened and I ended up taking my laptop apart to fix it, but hey it seems to be working now so yay! Tonight (Saturday) is your last chance to enter the fanfic giveaway on tumblr, so if you do that would be awesome. You guys rock, xoxo.
-show me the way-
“Yee-haw” Lucas hooted when he entered the barn where Zay had just ended a phone call.
Zay stared at his best friend, “Not the reaction I was expecting. Actually, I don’t know what to expect.”
Lucas grabbed Zay by the shoulders, “Riley is going to stay until at least after the election.”
“At least?” Zay noted the way his green eyes seemed brighter than they had in a very long time. “After the election if you win or lose she’s gone, she goes back to New York where she’ll plan her wedding to Dave after giving him hell for getting her that cheap as shit ring.”
“No” Lucas pointed to Zay as he backed away practically skipping, the smile on his face growing, “No, she is not going to marry Corn Chip Dave. He doesn’t deserve her, no she’s not pulled to him.”
Zay rubbed his eyes with his fingers before pinching the bridge of his nose, “Okay, I’m missing something so spill.”
“If Riley and I aren’t together by the end of this, then we don’t belong together, maybe I’m meant to be a piece of shit guy just getting blowjobs from random women and the occasional one night stand.” Lucas looked around the bar, “But no; I am meant to be with Riley Matthews, she was brought back into my life for a fucking reason Zay.”
“Yeah to get you elected mayor.” Zay shook his head, “I called Smackle to arrange this.”
“Of course, you did, but still, this is all happening for a reason Zay.” Lucas ran his hand through his hair, “After all this time seeing her again, it’ still there Zay, it’s even more intense now, God last night I could’ve kissed her.”
“She’s engaged.”
“For now,” Lucas shrugged, “you didn’t feel the way she claimed me in front of Dixie, that’s what she did Zay. That wasn’t some political move Zay, she was telling Dixie that I’m hers.”
“Follow her lead” Zay warned, “Don’t make a move on her first, don’t scare her away. She is engaged and its Riley, even if she was claiming you in front of Dixie. Don’t break her heart again.”
“I would never break Riley’s heart.” Lucas reminded his best friend, of course he meant it, not realizing that he had in the past.
“Seriously Lucas, I will beat the living life out of you if you break her heart, if you do anything that would hurt her. This isn’t a game, this is her heart and yours.” Zay warned him, “This isn’t about fulfilling some sex fantasy you have. If it’s possible that you and Riley have a future this is about the two of you loving each other, building a life together, possibly having children together. You need to find out if that’s even something the both of you want. But hey you’ve got until November.”
Lucas nodded knowing that Zay was right, he couldn’t push it, that this was so much more than anything he was used to now. Things with Riley always had been, they were more, in ways he wasn’t sure he could ever describe.
Maya had just gotten off the phone with Zay and was sitting down on her couch when her phone sang with Riley’s ring gone, “Hey Honey, what’s up.”
“I did something really stupid Maya, like really stupid. I can’t even believe I did it.”
Maya looked around even though she knew Charlie wasn’t home she still felt the need to check, “Did you have sex with Lucas?”
“No” Riley breathed, “I um, I kind of went and staked my claim on him.”
“What did you do?” Maya stood up pacing around, knowing her husband was due home any minute and he might just have Dave with him.
“We were at church, it was after the service. Lucas was mingling and talking to Dixie Carmichael, one of those girls in those pictures all those years ago, oh you should’ve seen the way she looked at Lucas. She looked as if given the chance she would strip him naked, dip him in chocolate and lick every inch of him.”
“And you of course have never thought about doing that.” Maya smirked to herself as she moved to the kitchen raking out a few items from the fridge to make a sandwich.
“Maya,” Riley ignored the comment, “I moved across the social hall, slid right up to Lucas, put my arm around him and said I was his girlfriend and sticking around. Then I kissed him.”
“It was good, wasn’t it?” She couldn’t believe after all these years these two were still such fools.
“Yes, and it was brief, part of me just wants to walk up to him and kiss him again, let whatever happens, happen.”
Maya shook her head, “Have you told Dave what you’re up to?”
“Not exactly, there’s more Maya.”
“What else could there be?”
“Well I kind of have to stick around and be his girlfriend publicly since you know it wouldn’t look good if he makes his run for mayor and I run back off to New York.”
Maya quickly pumped her fist in the air in joy, “So you have to stay until after the election huh, okay I’ll um go by your place later today get you some more Texas friendly clothes, anything else you want me to get for you?”
Riley sighed, “I don’t know, anything you see in my room you think I might need over the next few months. For sure though, please send me some of my cotton tank tops, it’s getting hotter here each day.”
“I will, so crazy question, what are you going to tell Dave?”
“I don’t know, just that this is a complicated small town situation, that I need to be here, be hands on, and if I can get away for a weekend or a couple of days I’ll come back to New York, but right now I need to be in Texas.”
Maya was smirking as she finished making a sandwich, “Okay, sounds like a plan, just text me the address to send your stuff to and I’ll have it sent as quickly as possible.”
“Thank you, I should go see if Gigi needs help with lunch and then help Lucas with his wardrobe.”
“Riley, you’re playing with fire, don’t get burned.”
“I know what I’m doing.” Riley assured her friend, “Thank you and bye.”
“Bye” Maya watched as the call ended on her screen, “Yeah you’ll be crying out yee-haw before you know it.”
The door opened, Charlie came in with their two children following behind, but quickly running to their own room, “Maya guess who is officially going to be Dave’s best man when he and Riley get married in November.”
“They haven’t set a date yet.” Maya reminded her husband, “And she’s currently busy working on a new campaign.”
“Dave set a date, he talked to a wedding planner.” Charlie tried to grab the sandwich and Maya swatted his hand.
“He’s counting his chickens before they hatch, Riley is going to want to plan her own wedding.”
“He’s doing this to help her.” Charlie grabbed an apple from the counter, “He knows how busy she is, and that sometimes she can’t get back to New York to make the plans she needs to.”
“Great he can get her a wedding band she’s allergic to as well.” Maya muttered.
Charlie either didn’t hear her or decided to ignore it for whatever reason, “Oh, you should see his new boat Maya, it’s more like a mini yacht. It’s sick, it’s beautiful, and it has bedrooms, so one weekend we can leave the kids with my Mom and go sailing with Dave and Riley for an overnight.”
Maya stopped what she was doing, “He bought a new boat?” huh probably where the money he was going to spend on a ring went, “What did he name it?”
Charlie chuckled, “Tostitos, he thinks its good luck to name it after his favorite chips.”
“I have to run an errand, actually it’s for Riley.” She grabbed half the sandwich, “I’ll be back in a few hours.”
“What does Riley need you to do?” Charlie picked up the half she left behind.
Maya grabbed her purse and was already at the door when she looked back to her husband, “She wanted me to send her a few things since she doesn’t know when she’ll be back in the city.”
“Where the hell is she?” He took a bite of the sandwich as he watched his wife at the door.
“Riley is exactly where she needs to be.” She left the apartment, wondering more and more why her best friend had ever accepted Dave’s proposal in the first place, and what she could do to help her friend make the right decision about her future.
If what Zay had told her was true, right now it was possible that the only thing really holding Riley and Lucas back, was Dave being her fiancé.
An idea hit, Maya knew she would probably get yelled at for what she was about to do, but Riley needed a push, and maybe if she was lucky it would give Lucas the push as well.
“Gigi is a great cook.” Riley told Lucas as they stood outside his bedroom, the air thick with nervous energy, as if she would cross the threshold and all semblance of self-control would be gone.
Lucas nodded, “She is, she’s actually been pretty helpful to have around.” He opened the door, “So where should we start?”
“Um, well what’s an average day like for you, like what do you wear?” She stayed near the door afraid to really enter his room.
“Jeans, a t-shirt and a plaid button up over it. I usually do some work here at the ranch with our animals, and then I go check my schedule, make house calls in the morning before going to the office to see the smaller animals.” He looked to her with a soft smile, “Riley, you can come in here.”
“And you wore almost a full suit for church.” She took a couple of steps in, his room, his sanctuary, his bed.
“Well we’re not fancy like in the city.” He watched her, “I have suits of course, mostly for conferences, weddings, the bachelor auction.”
“If they have a good fit, you should be fine. Um ties, are they in this drawer?” Riley started to pull his sock drawer open.
“No” Lucas dashed across the room, “That’s um socks.”
“Oh sorry” she tried to read him, but she was sure she saw a panic wash over him, that couldn’t be possible.
“Ties are in the closet, sorry if I scared you.”
Riley reached up, her thumb rubbing over his chin, “You have never scared me in that way.”
“In what way then have I scared you?”
She’d opened the door to this, she had to be honest with him, “The intensity of my feelings for you when we were younger, it terrified me.”
“Do you love Dave with that same kind of intensity?” She couldn’t, could she?
Riley was sure for a moment he was pleading, begging to know something, “Dave is different, Dave is, well Dave.”
“So, you don’t feel an intensity with Dave, that you feel with me?”
“You were my first Lucas, that kind of intensity doesn’t exist with anyone else.” She moved away feeling herself getting drawn into him as she went through the door into his bathroom. She paused for a moment when she saw the giant tub in the corner with a bay window that looked out at the property, the walk-in shower right next to the closet which she forced herself to walk into, and ignore the fantasies that were already filling her mind.
Lucas watched as she took in his bathroom, he knew it was a bit much for just him, but he would never tell a living soul this, when he had it redone a few years before he’d thought about what she might like. He hadn’t thought he’d never see her again, and yet now she was in his closet studying his ties.
“These should be your go to ties for now.”
“Great, wonderful.” He watched her, “So about your clothes, what have you got that’s appropriate for hanging out on a ranch in Texas?”
“I guess it depends on what kind of work you’re going to put me to.” She teased, feeling her cheeks flush.
“Well City Girl, I think if you really want to help out we could find something for you here and there. I mean you’re going to have to be helping me with the campaign right, girlfriend?” He’d moved closer to her, wishing her could touch her—really touch her.
“True, but I can still cook, take some of the burden off of Gigi for a while, maybe do some laundry.” She caught herself getting lost in his eyes, sure she was seeing smoldering fire of desire before she blinked, knowing how easy it would be to reach up, unbutton his shirt, expose his chest, “You know, whatever I can do to help out.”
Lucas could think of a million things she could do to help, and none of them had to do with cooking, laundry, and everything with being naked in his bed, calling out his name. “You don’t just have those short skirts, do you?”
“Maya is sending me some more stuff, I never had a chance to pack for Texas, I was packed for Hollywood.” She licked her lips, feeling as if the closet was growing ten degrees. “What’s wrong with my skirts?”
“Nothing” His voice was thick, needy as his fingers ran through her hair, tangling with her soft curls as his lips crashed down on hers and her body clung to him, feeling him lift her up, carrying her to the bed.
“Riley, Riley?” Lucas snapped her fingers “You okay?”
“Yeah I um, spaced out, it’s really hot in this closet.” She pushed past him sure she audibly gasped at how hard his chest, “Um the stuff Maya is sending me actually should be here tomorrow afternoon if she uses the service I asked her to.”
“That will be good, if she um doesn’t send you what you need Austin really isn’t that far for some real shopping, I doubt you’d want to hit up the Wal-Mart.”
“The Wal-Mart would be fine Lucas” She smiled, “I don’t need labels, just something that fits, that I’m comfortable wearing. The only thing I’m really picky about is jewelry and only because of my allergy.”
Lucas nodded, “Good to know Ri, good to know.”
“That’s my phone.” She could hear the ringtone from down the hall, “We can finish or whatever later.”
“Of course,” Lucas watched her leave, he hung on the door, part of him wanting to bash his head between it and the frame.
It was great that she was staying, but what exactly was he going to do now? What could he do to show her that he was the man for her, that she was the woman for him?
Dates! He’d have to take her out to dinner one in a while, or to the movies, all sorts of things they used to do when they were really dating. People wouldn’t believe they were a couple if they didn’t see them together. Hell, maybe he would even take her to a scary movie so she would grab his hand, maybe that action, that touch would unlock something, anything, everything.
He pulled his phone out from his back pocket looking up movie times at the theater, he saw one he knew she would enjoy, well unless she was over her crush on Chris Evans. He went down the hall knocking gently on the door.
“Hey, what’s up?” She was just putting the phone down.
“I um realized this whole people thinking you’re my girlfriend thing probably works best if people see us on dates, right?”
“I guess, I mean we really can’t stay here all the time, people would think we were just having sex all the time or something.” Had she just said that? She wished she could understand what was coming out of her mouth around him.
Lucas had to remind himself to breathe, “Um yeah, so the new Chris Evans is playing at the Rialto tonight, and I thought we could go see it, and really be seen together.”
“Not fair Lucas, you know I can’t say no to a Chris Evans movie.” She smiled, amazed he remembered that, he seemed to remember almost everything, except their night together. But why?
“Great, it starts at seven-twenty, so we should leave here at six-thirty.”
“That’s great, casual attire, jeans and t-shirts kind of thing.”
“Yeah, oh a hoodie, the theatre tends to blast the AC, so I remember you get cold easily.”
“That would be something I don’t have with me.” She shrugged.
Lucas smiled, “I’ve got an extra one, don’t worry. We’ll go after dinner, it’s just you and me again tonight, Zay and Gigi are working again.”
“Okay, I’m going to get some stuff done, we can make dinner in a little bit.”
“Great, I’ll see you in a couple of hours.” He backed away, returning to his room and going into his closet.
It wasn’t full, barely half way filled. Which made what he was looking for easy to find. Over the years, he’d never been able to get rid of it. He’d worn it the first few weeks he was back in Texas until his mother washed it, with it she washed away the last hint of Riley’s scent, sweet and fruity. It had spent a lot of time deep in his closet, it probably didn’t even fit him now.
Abigail Adams Baseball adorned the front of the hoodie in block letters. He remembered her wearing it when she would get cold on a summer night as they sat on her roof top looking for a hint of stars. She probably didn’t remember it, but he did. He remembered so much that she’d probably forgotten, let first to the back of her mind as new boyfriends took over.
He gripped the hoodie in his hands, maybe she would start to remember, start to fall in love with him again.
He grabbed the one he usually wore, his old Texas A&M one that had seen better days, and he should probably replace it.
As he looked at the two of them, he wondered if she could ever love him again. If she could ever open herself up to him. No matter what happened Lucas Friar wasn’t going down without a fight for Riley’s heart, and he was going to prove to her that he was worth it, that he would always be worth it.

Wedding Ask - Hana x Persephone (OC)
@kennaxval asked me to do this ask list for Persy and Hana. Here it is!!
Tumblr media
How long were they together before they got engaged?
3-4 years, one and a half of which was spent living together.
Who proposed and how?
It was kind of something they ended up asking each other together. Kind of like a casual conversation about cats that took a turn for the serious and ended up becoming about how the past year had gone for them and what their thoughts on getting married were. It kind of developed organically into "maybe we really are ready. maybe we should get married". It took them two weeks to actually be certain though, but from then on there was no looking back.
How long was the engagement?
6 months. They didn't want to wait too long, or want a huuuuge crowd. But both women were pretty popular around the Cordonian fashion circuit, so it became a bit more of a celebrity wedding than either Persy or Hana bargained for.
Where was the Wedding?
At a gazebo in Valtoria. One of the main things Queen Esther did - before her marriage to King Liam - to get Valtoria back into cultural relevance again was to ensure that there were plenty tourist attractions in the area - which included reviving an area overgrown with weeds and turning it into a prime wedding location. Hana had, for many years, considered Valtoria home, so it was bittersweet saying goodbye to the place by having her wedding there.
Colors/Theme?
Since the wedding was in Valtoria, Persy's parents had just one condition to put forward - that Persy honoured House Antreou by using their house colours. So purple and gold it was. Hana also confessed she had never seen so many narwhal motifs in her life (" This is nothing," Persy said, "Wait till Penelope and Maxwell get married. So nautical they might as well have gotten married in a submarine. I'm calling it now.")
(The submarine didn't happen. The nautical theme most definitely did).
Big Wedding or Small?
Undeniably big. Lots of coverage, lots of publicity. Ana de Luca from Trend did a photoshoot + article (the one thing that was spearheaded by Persy because she wouldn't be caught dead doing hand-heart poses with her fiancèe) hailing the pair as some sort of fashionista power couple, and from there things just went crazy.
Who did most of the planning?
This was one of the first things Persy and Hana discussed once they agreed to marry. On the one hand, this was Hana's dream since she was a little girl and she had very very clear ideas for how she wanted her wedding to be - even more clear because for so many years she was never given the chance to actually plan them herself (part of her dreams could be seen in some of the contributions she made to the gazebo, garden and resort in Valtoria). On the other hand, Persy was very sure about what she didn't want and never backed down on saying so, so Hana knew that if she ever ended up overdoing things Persy would voice her opinion and let her know. So for the most part both of them were involved, and talked their ideas out with a local wedding planner.
Tell me about the cake!
A three-tiered Lavender Earl Grey cake with buttercream and lavender macarons. Lavender macarons are Hana's favourite dessert, and it went with Persy's house colours and wedding decor, so it was technically a win win. There were also macaron boxes - all different flavours - for each guest waiting at their tables.
What about the flowers?
Hana held a cascading bridal bouquet as she walked down the aisle, in mostly magenta, red and pink tones to honour both Valtoria (whose house colours were red and white) and her mother's house (pink). Persy's had a lot of roses in varying shades of purple.
Their attire?
Tumblr media
Persy had pretty much had her eye on the Temperley Nepheli Jumpsuit for as long as it had been out, so it was a no-brainer that she would choose one for her wedding. Persy saw their wedding as a day that should revolve around Hana, because she'd spent so long resigning herself to settling for "good" when she could have "better". So she wanted to keep her own attire simple but classic - minimal jewellery, flowy crepe de chine, a butterfly belt, lace gloves. And it worked because Hana could hardly take her eyes off her.
Hana's wedding gown was designed in the wake of her reunion with her parents, and it meant a lot to her that they had made it here. She had her wedding gown styled in a fashion very similar to how she did her cheongsams, with a few additional touches: a Mandarin collar, illusion neckline, lots of beads and sequins and a tiara. Persy told her she looked a mermaid.
Wedding Party?
Esther and Penelope acted as witnesses for Hana and Persy respectively. Hana's friends, and Persy's from her Paris days, formed the team of bridesmaids and groomsmen. Another reason it was so high profile was that the King and Queen of Cordonia themselves were part of their wedding party.
Which traditions were important to them? Which ones did the skip?
This was a first for both families, and neither of them ever really envisioned their daughters would marry women (in Persy's case, it was a miracle she was getting married at all). So in their eyes at least it seemed more like a question of which traditions would make it to the wedding day.
Hana's parents had always envisioned a wedding to a noble in a huge imposing cathedral, with a few traditions they could practice in the days and hours before. Hana's mother may not have been Chinese, but she'd definitely been a part of a number of hair combing ceremonies, and wanted to do the same for Hana. They definitely also hoped to have a tea ceremony the day after the wedding, and Hana and Persy were only too happy to oblige.
Persy didn't mind keeping a Cordonian tradition or two but she drew the line at apple cutting. "Neither of us are trees, and neither of us want to pop an apple, metaphorically or otherwise," she had wanted to say, but she kept quiet for Hana's sake. Nonetheless, neither of their parents really insisted on the ceremony, so that part wasn't too hard.
What about something that was uniquely ‘them’?
Definitely the poems they brought along for their readings. Hana's was a favourite of hers: an ancient Chinese poem of the Song Dynasty called "The Lantern Festival Night"* (which she always claimed reminded her of Persy), and Persy's was an e. e. cummings poem called "Love is Thicker Than Forget"*.
What’s their favorite memory of the day?
For both of them it was the little moments in the ceremony. The way Persy's eyes seemed unnaturally bright when Hana read out her vows. The joy in Hana's face seeing this dream wedding of hers actually take shape. But most of all it was all the times one of them casually rested their hand on the other person's arm, or tenderly tucked a stray strand of hair behind their wife's ear. For Persy it was everytime Hana held her hand and for Hana it was every time Persy told called her her wife.
Where did they go for their honeymoon?
Persy's grandmother Aretha was from Corfu, and Hana had never actually been there (she'd been to the usual places, like Athens and Santorini), so they both jumped on the idea of spending their honeymoon there. Persy undoubtedly led the way here, having travelled there more than once and being fairly familiar with the place.
Tumblr media
They strolled around Corfu Town and visited fortresses and museums, but for them the highlight was swimming along the narrow canal d'amour (it's said that couples who manage to swim that stretch would be blessed with a wedding).
("but we're already married," Hana said.
"double the luck, then," Persy replied, grinning).
Tumblr media
On their first anniversary, Hana and Persy would go to China, visit the Magpie bridge and the West Lake. The West Lake is beautiful, but Hana has a preference for the Magpie Bridge because it has a lot of associations with her favourite festival, Qi Xi.
