Hi hello um Wanted to make this after the newest chapter of Phytologists' guide to Falling in love Dropped. So that was months ago lol idk what happenned. Anyways I was so pumped it was back, it got me thinking of my old drawing I made, what was it, 2 years ago now? Anyways I knew I could do better, so I did. Thanks @lucidmagic again for making my favourite fic of all time. As someone whose read an embarrasingly high number of fics over the last 3 and a half years, that bar is high. You know what? It's time to re-read this fic for the 8th time. Let's do it!

The ongoing bombing has destroyed vital infrastructure, including hospitals, making access to healthcare nearly impossible. Over 90% of the population has been displaced from their homes and now lives in overcrowded areas lacking basic necessities.

Under these harsh conditions, residents live in fear and despair, with some describing the situation as a "slow death" from hunger and thirst. Despite international appeals, humanitarian access remains blocked, further exacerbating the crisis.

Mother Miranda looked to you from the corner of her eye. You couldn’t tear your eyes away from hers as she released Donna, letting her body collapse to the floor as if she were a useless sack of rotting food.

“You beg your god to show mercy?” Mother Miranda asked you.

“I’m just a simple courier, Mother Miranda, but I beg you-"

Within a blink of an eye she was mere inches from you. The smile you have known your whole life appeared drastically different now.

“Where does your heart and loyalty lie, 'simple courier'? To Lord Beneviento?”

There was no doubt in your mind. It was a simple and easy answer. Heisenberg squeezed your neck again.

“Ye—”

A sharp sting burned your right cheek. It pulsed angrily as your hand immediately went to it in shock. Red coated your shaking fingers and matched the color on the tips of Mother Miranda’s talons. She looked upon you as though you were a roach. Small. Disgusting. Soon to meet its end by the hands of its creator.

I had to draw my favourite scene from @lucidmagic The Phytologist’s Guide to Falling in Love

y’all I’ve read this fic more times than I can count over the last year

Anyways if anyone’s interested in my little rant here it is:

Phyto is the absolute best fic I’ve ever read hands down. The writing is beautiful and the relationship between Donna and the gardener seems a lot more real than a lot of other fics I’ve read.  On a personal note, this fic really helped me through hard times. I’ve read a lot of donna x reader fics and her characterization often reads as autistic to me. I cannot explain to you the joy I felt when this fic actually eluded to it the first time. As the story continued, seeing gardener support her and love her just as much with this information in mind absolutely killed me. Donna’s autistic traits are brought up nonchalantly, and only add to her charm, and her happy flapping- y’all I didn’t know I could receive so much serotonin at once

Being on the spectrum, this is the first time I’ve seen any representation that I can actually resonate with. I have to deal with a lot of ableism in my everyday life, especially in the last year. It feels good knowing I can come back to this fic when I’m having a tough time. :)

So I wanted to draw cover arts for different donna x reader fics and decided to start from "The Phytologist's Guide to falling in love" that was written by @lucidmagic

Originally I thought about putting some fluffy scene on a cover but after re-reading whole fic I decided to choose this one in particular. For me, this part of a chapter was a big step for Donna and gardener in developing their relationship because Donna shared something so painful to her. It was serious and sad but important and it stayed in my head for a long while that is why I tried to draw it.

P.s Only after I read the Claudia's grave part for second time I understood where everything was happening, that what english as second language does to a mf 💀

Additional note: I will try not to draw reader too detailed unless their description is clearly written, so if you're an author that I drew cover for feel free to ask edit of character on art.

A.a.n: I won't draw cover for fics that are more than one relationship(Like reader x multiple Re8 women). It would give me too much scenes and gradually increase the whole process 😅
