Lapi are about 3 feet long from head to tail, Luisge are about 10 feet, and Opthallo are about 20 feet. They are ginormous.

Picoteando a ciegas

JoseMi, Como una ola, somos tan solo una configuración de innumerables casualidades. Lo digo porque mi razón me permite entenderlo, pero soy incapaz de asumirlo existencialmente. Como sujeto de Occidente las nociones Orientales me parecen profundas y valiosas, pero simultáneamente reconozco en mí una limitación que me impide aprehender su perla. Desearía ser como Piper, aprender del otro para transformar mi naturaleza, para ver con claridad, sin tener que picotear a ciegas. Para nosotros, cualquier movimiento –como dices– es un salto de fe. Perseguimos rastros de algo que no vemos, y que quizás ni siquiera está. Advertimos lo que hay que advertir, observamos lo que queremos observar, miramos lo que miramos. Entendemos el lugar del monstruo y del héroe, si las criaturas proyectan nuestros miedos y deseos, el humano representa lo que ya somos. Lo diferente y lo propio se enfrentan como opuestos irremediables, lo propio tiene que vencer e incorporar la diferencia. Por ello estoy de acuerdo contigo, el monstruo está en nosotros, y está en todos los héroes que admiramos. Mientras que los monstruos nos permiten fallar y vivir, lo héroes nos condenan a vivir fallando. Mis monstruosos héroes me exigen ser un estereotipo, durante años empaticé sin juzgar, sin saber que era el héroe quien me hacía daño. Dicho esto regreso al corto, desearía no desear ser cómo Piper. ¿Tendremos que dejar de soñar para seguir soñando o renunciar a nuestros héroes para explorar distintos modos de ser? Veo que todos nuestros últimos ejemplos han sido acuosos ¿Por qué crees que estemos recurriendo al agua?

Part 2 of sharing my discography:

It was early July in 2023, when I felt something felt “a bit off”, my wife rushed me to the emergency room, where my blood pressure was sky rocketing, on the verge of a stroke according to a nurse. Later that day, I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and was admitted into the hospital, fighting for my life for the next few days. It was during this time that I began reflecting a lot of different things in life, choices I had made that lead me to this difficult moment, and a renewed sense of “living life” was born, along with the idea for this new album called “Second Chances”.

This album is very personal. Some of the very dark and difficult moments I’ve lived in the past year have been what formed this experience. Life is too short to take for granted, if I learned anything, it’s been that life is worth living for and that the world needs you. My hope is that it finds its audience, and if that’s you, I hope it helps you find peace with the wild ride that is this life.
