We had the honor of Engraving this Remington V3 for Captain Tom Woolbright this week. He served at Firehouse 21 in the heavy rescue division and we wish him well in his retirement. NEVERNEVADAHQ PLOT DROP : THE PRIMEVAL SINS OF THE NEW YEAR

On January 7th, 2022, the troubles of the new year have rung out just seven days late. Peace was awarded to the sin city for just seven days, with twenty four hours seemingly dedicated to each infamous iniquity. Power flickered for a moment across the city, flickering Fremont street for the first time in eighteen years with an outage that lasted more than just a blink. While the city only turned dark for a few moments, all residents failed to see that they blended in with the dark.

Triggers present in this plot drop are police, murder, descriptions of bodily injury post mortem (gore), arson, weapon, alcohol, drugs/poisoning, guns/weapons. Please reach out to the main if you would like to be given a summary of the plot drop without specific triggers present. 

The Deputy Chief had been reported missing on the seventh day, with co-workers and family holding a finger over the trigger of when to call an absence a vanish. Concern had been taught to not cause any alarm until 72 hours. The day he was suppose to come to work, he is found present but far from his desk. At 5:56 AM, a fire is reported at the Medical Examiner’s office at the Las Vegas Police Department resulting in multiple injuries, demolishment of thousands of paperwork, and nearly a billion dollars in damages to equipment. Delos Hospital receives an influx of patients in their emergency room, staff from all hours being called in to assist. Luciana Morales, Sybil Bosnak, and Audrey Rousseau are three of many extending their shift or cutting their day off short.

The Las Vegas Fire Department sends out their heavy rescue team to put out the flames. In the investigation and recover of the bodies in the morgue lost to the fire, Blythe Sweetwine identifies the body of the Deputy Chief inside one of the storage compartments. Security footage is immediately requested, only for the power outage to have tampered with back up systems perished in the fire. Unable to watch the crime play out, answers lie in the autopsy.

The Deputy Chief’s body is found to have been left at the scene after the fire was started. The flames are theorized to be part of a cover up of its delivery, resulting in the investigation of the LVFD immediately, with Evren Bosnak and his team covered in soot sitting in an interview room. His death is ruled as no other than foul play. Most of the injuries sustained to the body are post-mortem. One of the major injuries is a cut through his spine with a sharp object that seared the skin with tafetta fibers in the wound, a material most common with the lining of heavy coats and more importantly, luxurious ones. A bullet found on the back of his neck is identified as the cause of death, but the bullet was fired from a short barrel short gun which is illegal under NFA regulations. The bullet is found whole with engraved with LVPD crossed out. On the chest of the victim, tattoos sustained before death scrawl out three names-- Eisen Polat, Lài Ting, and Ana Pavlova. Coating his teeth is the same poison found at the scene of Apokries Fest, foxglove and other drugs commonly known as “downers.”.

Throughout the day, a variety of interviews are conducted on and off LVPD property. All of the tattoo shops in Vegas, including Daedalus Studio, have their tools and the shop itself investigated for the tattooing found on the victim’s body. The ink was fresh and done with a machine, with the artistry consistent with that of a professional. Julian McClain, Abraham Sweetwine, and Taron Lynch are interviewed on the scene and briefly detained.

Looking into the names on the body, it is revealed that the three names belong to women who were former residents of Las Vegas. Eisen Polat is revealed to a murder victim in the city in 1971. She was survived by her sister, Defne, and her children who are linked to the Arslan and Bosnak families. Lài Ting is tracked down as another name hidden in plain sight, bringing the staff of the family run business of Vermillion in for questioning. Lài Suyin and Lài Hǎi Ián are sought out for information regarding their family member. Ana Pavlov remains unknown.

The fibers found on the body are linked to the inner lining of jacket found in the system. Immediately, all known members of the Brothers of Ichor are detained for questioning including Andrew Whittemore, Dominic Murphy, Cyrus Rousseau, and Stella Gillenkerk who are stripped of their jackets for further testing.

Combing through his personal items, his electronics are taken by forensics to be inspected. Blue Sweeney and other forensic analysts search for history of communication in hopes of finding threats, or even alliances. 

Following the footsteps of the Deputy Chief before his disappearance, his account with Asena Bank aids in creating a timeline tracing back to the last two weeks. His card is linked to an ATM just outside of the Mirage, and its owner, Rhiannon Hale, is given a search warrant to seize her security footage after the ATM’s recordings show him moving left from the camera’s frame straight to the strip club. The footage provides insight on the Deputy Chief’s time after hours, including multiple dances with Ari Arora who is interviewed and brought in for official questioning within hours.

The Deputy Chief’s spending habits have more to reveal. While his time at the Mirage is short lived, he had spending more time with an escort service charging to his card every week. After tracking down the pseudo name the charges were filed under, the services provided to him give up a few names along with Elena Czarnik as one of the many escorts he was engaged with.

On the night of his disappearance, bank records show him at the Lotus Hotel and Casino where he booked a room for the night under a fake name. One of the last clips of him on the security footage shows him engaging with Luxana Coia, a cocktail server, where he appears to not be coherent before retiring to his room. Investigators interview all of the staff they can link him to, questioning his behavior that night and any lingering game partners to the Deputy Chief. The whereabouts of the Deputy Chief from Ashina Casino are marked only by his passing on security footage down N 1st street, leading another round of questioning through several businesses. Vicky’s, owned by Ivan Petrov, seems to get a longer interview, the newfound affinity the victim had for late night fun and spontaneous costumes striking the question as to whether or not he had participated in their late night shows. 

At 7:30 PM, one final charge is made to the Deputy Chief’s account for a limo service dating to after his disappearance and after his estimated time of death on Saturday, January 9th at 11:42 PM. Sebastien Moreau is brought in for questioning along with his clients from that evening. One man’s trip is consistent with the transaction, bringing him to Cytherea Gallery after typical hours for a late night showing of their newest exhibits of local artists including Leyla Duymaz and Daryna Lysytsya. Due to the poison found in his mouth, the director of Cytherea Gallery, Aspen Parrish, is asked to give information regarding catering linked to Killer Cupcakes and Gerovit House. Nadia James and Stella Gillenkerk are subjected to a search warrant of the materials of the bakery.

As the Las Vegas Police Department continues investigating the arson and murder, those typically responsible for such crimes attempt to piece together who attacked their pursuers. However, they can’t call this unknown force an ally. Every detail that provoked investigators to knock on doors was just a small superficial cut into their secrets. Names of founding women of each organization were inked the body, a cut along the spine was similar to that of a sword aflame known as the symbol of the Brotherhood, a bullet was found just where the Asena mark is placed on all initiated members, the poison of the White Snakes was found along teeth where their identifying jade tooth sits, and the bullet belongs to the weapons trafficked by the Foxes. Is this force looking to see who will bleed first, or who will cry?

The course of action is clear. The Brotherhood must come together to protect themselves and strengthen their loyalties within the LVPD, as well as weed any weaklings attempting to join their ranks. They must learn to make soldiers out of their riders. But more importantly, they must get rid of the stolen weaponry from their theft from interstate shipment and find the origin to avoid being in possession of the weapons linked to the crime. The Asenas must protect their work, and hide how deep their connections in Vegas lie alongside the Gurays and the Bosnaks. They must find who is attempting to be their benefactor and challenging their role. The Foxes must locate their lost shipment of weapons, and determine if they want to ally themselves with the Brotherhood who they’ve worked with under guise for getting their supply out of Vegas with ease. The line between Foxes and Lysytsyas seemed to be more evident, and it raises the question of who wants to be protected and who wants a pedestal. Arms dealers will be questioned, and so will the dormant enemies in their ranks. All those lost souls, independent of affiliation, must decide if they want to seek out a friend or a foe in those who lurk in the shadows or those who tossed the first spark against the LVPD.

OOC INFORMATION: The Las Vegas Police Department has been targeted, and in the strike against them, they have been given indirect clues to the other forces of Vegas. It is unknown whether this crime was meant to reveal the downfall of the crime organizations of Vegas through a warning, or show who truly runs the city. All characters are involved one way or another and the details provided can be expanded upon by decision of the mun. Any characters that were not mentioned can be involved as witnesses, injured civilians, and more. Feel free to contact the main for any plot proposals! It’s Harley again with my second trash child, Barrett! Barrett is born and raised in Las Vegas. His mother had a high-risk pregnancy and a tumultuous labor. She died during birth. Barrett’s father used to tell him that his birthmark was his mother’s spirit kissing him on her way out.

Barrett’s dad did not have it easy. A single father to two now, he was a teacher, and could barely make ends meet. So he got a second job, and help from Barrett’s grandparents, and they somehow made it work. Barrett and his sister never really knew anything was different.

Eventually, his father remarried, but she wasn’t really interested in having children. She was wealthy as fuck (and Barrett and his sister theorized that maybe he did it to help provide for them), but Barrett would have preferred an actual childhood to opulence.

Barrett lost his virginity when he was 15 years old. She was one of his sister’s friends. It was his first experience with an older woman. His second and most long-lasting was his first year of college. She thought she was way too old for him, but he knew he needed her from the second he first saw her. She finally agreed to be friends, but their pull was undeniable and they fell madly in love.

They broke up when she moved to Los Angeles and, although it broke his heart, he overcame his pride and licked his wounds enough to stay friends with her. He promised her that, if she came back to Las Vegas, he’d marry her.

And that’s basically his type now. You can say he has “mommy issues,” maybe, though he’d shrug off the suggestion.

He dropped out of college and instead took a program to become an EMT. He attended the Fire Academy afterwards and threw himself into the LVFD instead. It was a lot easier to save other people than it was to help himself.

It was his time in training that he was with a man for the first time. It was the thing of typical porno stereotypes: in a moment of quiet in the showers after a drill, Barrett decided to jerk off, not realizing that someone else was there. Who then offered a hand. At that point, Barrett was too fucking turned on to back out and... he realized that he liked it a little too much.

After the passing of his father when he was 12, mother spiraled so he became the parent of the household. Locking down his role, Evren did his best and worked his ass off, but lied in order to keep up the appearances of a well-off family outside of the home in order to ensure no one found out about his mom's deterioration.

Though it was a struggle, Evren managed to graduate, just barely. At seventeen, whilst going through his dad's records and accounts to prepare to legally assume guardianship over his little sister, he found out some vague details about the family his father had left behind in Vegas. He knew there was something suspicious about it, but he could understand the luster of leaving behind the chaos of an important family. Still, none of it sat right. After some training to become an EMT, Evren began working with the fire department, where he found his niche n heavy rescue.

After years of his career progressing and his sister safe under his guardianship, she flew the nest and headed for Las Vegas, the land of the family his father had long since left behind. That same curious feeling returned and he followed his sister south toward Sin City.

Assuming his position as a firefighter with the LVFD, he began working in the community which put him in a position open to all, including the family his father had left behind. At a charity block party sponsored by the Asena bank, another Bosnak caught wind of the new face in Vegas and put the pieces together. They knew who his sister was, but getting the long lost son of their long dead brother was like hitting the jackpot.

Go figure.
