Taron Egerton and I crossed paths during a time of transition in my life. I had just wrapped up filming "Top Gun: Maverick" and returned to my home in LA, seeking a fresh start.

Our meeting was a result of my father's influence. In March 2022, Taron was invited to a family dinner at my parents' home in LA. He happened to be in the city due to the shooting of a TV show. After that initial meeting, we began chatting via Instagram, and a connection slowly started to take shape.

I confided in Taron that I wasn't ready for a new relationship, and to my surprise, he was patient and understanding. Over the course of a couple of months, he managed to change my mind, and by July 2022, we officially started dating.

Despite wrapping up his TV show in June, Taron chose to stay in LA for me. He rented a house for a few months before making a big step by moving in with me in October 2022. It was a significant milestone in our relationship.

Notably, my father Hugh had mixed feelings about our relationship at first, but with time, he came to love and support us (he didn’t had another option)

Taron's interests included playing the piano and enjoying the serenity of the beach. He had a deep passion for food, particularly Chinese cuisine. Together, we bonded over building Legos and cooking, with a special fondness for Star Wars Legos. He was, in many ways, a 32-year-old geek at heart, and I adored him for it.
