For context, my post was a reblog to this one (by the great papyru) that's also really good. not going to reblog from there again since I want Papyru to get all the likes instead of having to dig through notes to figure out which liked their post and which liked my addition.

heehee here's the post now. be warned, it's under keep reading because it's REALLY LONG.

i'm evil hijacking this post to brainrot about my interpretation of flowey and toriel post pacifist feel free to correct me if you think i could cook harder but like

i think this is why it'd take so long for flowey to really admit that he's asriel to toriel. they grow closer but he doesn't want her to think of him like that. of the martyred baby prince instead of the him right there. he doesn't want to have to calculate in his head to figure whether she's doing this for him, for 'asriel', or for the version of him she thinks he is.

he's cautious as hell because he can't reset anymore and he doesn't want to ruin things permanently hell it's already taking him a lot to not just hide away from people he isn't 150% sure could never hate him. like months probably go by as toriel thinks of him as this weird kid who seemingly has no home and clearly cares about her and begins to think of him like a second son.

he slowly shows her more and more of himself and every time he does for a bit he's scared that she'll grow tired of him and wish he was a normal boy but it never happens and he just doesn't understand. how could she care about him when he's so annoying he's such a horrible person he just hurts anyone who wants to get close to him.

he occasionally just has meltdowns but instead of getting frustrated at him she grows angry at herself because she doesn't know how to help him and she wishes she was a better mother and able to do something for him. so he just begins to feel ashamed and just kinda locks himself away and toriel tries to get him to open the door but eventually just leaves him be in the hopes he'll feel better later.

things go like this for a while. flowey and toriel get comfortable again, toriel tries to show flowey that she cares about him, and then flowey grows overwhelmed and upset and hides away. she eventually just asks why. is she trying too hard? was it something she said or did?after a pause he just says "i don't desrve it."

she doesn't get how he couldn't. when she tries to tell him how good a person he is, he just retorts "you don't know me." she almost demands to know how she still doesn't know him after months but realizes that it won't do any good. she instead asks who he really is. he doesn't entirely know where to start. he lists the terrible things he's done, the bad thoughts he's had about people he knows care about "him". it's kind of like screaming into the void.

a pause. flowey begins to think he said too much. toriel opens the door. she looks down at him before sitting beside him. neither of them know what exactly to say. she tries to reach out and pat him on the head, but he cringes. he asks her if she cares about any of the things he's done. she admits that she's still processing everything he's said, but feels that he's changed since then considering he doesn't still run around killing and torturing innocents. she jokingly asks if he's secretly a serial murderer and he's like "i don't know, you'll have to find out."

he still doesn't get why she cares, but he's figured out by now that he can't really stop her, so he'll just have to deal with it.

I’m writing this at 1am because I’m feral BUT i digress…

Headcanons for what type of woman Castor and Pollux (because @fanaticsnail said those are their names and yes) would have as a partner

So for Pollux I imagine his girl would absolutely be That Bitch™️ and in the most iconic way. The hair is right, the fit is tight (in uniform if she’s a marine, and casual if she isn’t/is and is on leave). She’s a gossip, a tease, and dishes it out to her man as good as he dishes it out to others. These two are absolute chaos gremlins together. They will show up unannounced to Castor’s place and make a huge mess in the kitchen before he convinces them to not try to cook when they can’t. They end up sipping wine at his dining table while he makes dinner for them all. This woman would be fiercely protective of her loved ones and what they stand for, the type to fight tooth and nail, to claw and scratch and yell to be with her man. I think together they would also be able to find that vulnerability with each other, and in private moments they can enjoy simple things just as much as goofing off and being little shits. Pollux would worship in the way of offering himself up as of to a deity, willing to let her flames consume him in sweet oblivion. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to him.

Now for Castor, my sweet beloved boy. I apologize for any projecting that might happen here, he has my heart rn. I think he’d be with another marine, and his woman would be the stalwart lover, shouldering burdens with him without question. She’s the type that people say is just like him in public, reserved, collected, maayybeee sometimes there’s a stick up her ass. She sticks to her guns and won’t let people push her around about it though. She has asked Castor on multiple occasions (five) if he wants her to beat up Pollux for making fun of him, and has followed through (once) ((she suplexed him through a table at dinner and Castor just sat there with wide eyes while Pollux’s girl cackled and recorded the whole thing on den den)). Castor would be one hundred percent soft for her, the type to gruffly respond “yes ma’am, of course maam” when she’s trying her hardest to be strong and give commands even if she’s hurting. This man worships the ground she walks on and would do anything for her in such a like sworn knight protector way, not because she’s a woman, because he loves her.

❀ The way I see it, your first kiss with Shouei can go one of two ways:

1. You're drunk

❀ You spend the night out with some friends, him, and the team celebrating another game won. He swears he wants to leave early so he can get his full 9 hours of sleep and wake up early for his own personal work out.

❀ You're not ready to leave so he insists on staying to "make sure you don't get into any trouble" but let's be real. He thinks you look cute and he enjoys hearing you laugh!

❀ Eventually, you have a bit too much to drink and you're stumbling over. The big meanie decides it's time to take you home and get you to bed. You give him your cutest pout, but there's no convincing The King once he's made a decision.

❀ You both leave the establishment, him holding you upright on the way out, and catch a cab.

❀ You both sit quietly, you let out some drunken giggles occasionally as your tiredness starts to wash over you. He glances at you far too frequently for someone that doesn't like to give you the time of day but you're too drunk to notice.

❀ He thinks you look so pretty staring out of the car window as the city lights illuminate your soft features.

❀ You're so tired. The day was exhausting, the club was exhausting, the celebrating...

❀ You look over at him, sleep heavy in your eyes. "Thanks, Sho," you whisper with a lopsided grin before gently pulling him towards you. You plant a slow, wet kiss against his lips, surprising him, before pulling away and resting your head on his shoulder.

❀ He stares a little at you, eyes wide. "Wha-" he notices you quickly fell asleep.

❀ He never mentions the kiss, and you think it was just a drunken dream, but you notice he's a lot softer towards you ever since.

2. It's a heated moment of passion

❀ He stayed late at practice and completely missed your weekly apartment deep cleaning again.

❀ You catch him smirking briefly but before you can ask him about it, he's grabbing you by the face and crashing his lips into yours so aggressively you stumble back only to find yourself pressed against the exterior wall of the building. Caught between it and the hard, damp surface that is Sho's body, you return his passion and thread your fingers through his sweaty hair.

❀ He pulls away before he gets carried away. He grabs you by the jaw and stares deeply into your eyes, his hot breath fanning over your face.

❀ "Never take that tone with The King, princess."

❀ Now you find yourself a blushing mess every time you see him.
