the sad truth of macroeconomics is that like so many other macro-level sciences, all of the innumerable little complexities of the small scale do in fact iron out in the broad analysis and you can basically understand macroecon very well with relatively little knowledge specific to economics, the only reason why the truths of macroecon aren't widely acknowedged is because to do so you'd have to acknowledge that Marx was right about Most things

That's a funny piece of Dhaaruni Lore though: Junior year of high school, I took 6 AP classes and 7 AP tests, and I got 5s in English, US History, Calculus AB, Physics, and Spanish, but my brain just can't do econ so I got a 3 in AP Microecon and 2 on AP Macroecon.
